END IN SIGHT!!!!

I went in to the doctors today, and she was conserned that he was getting awfully large, so they did an ultrasound to see how big he was. They did the ultrasound and measured his head, and it came to about fourteen inches around, and is still not locked into my pelvis like it should, even though he's faceing the right way and head down. The estamated that he was over ten pounds!
They also noted that he has a LOT of fluid around him and they are worried that if my water breaks then the umbilical cord will come out before he does and choke him, so they schedualed a C-section tomorow. sweatdrop
I really didn't want a C-section, but I don't want to put myself and especally don't want to put the baby in any danger, so C-section it is. 3nodding

heart On a more happy note, we could see whisps of hair on the ultrasound, so we know he has a full head of hair, although what color is still a mystory lol. heart

OK, here’s the story… I was scheduled for a C-section on the 29th at 11:30. I spent most of the night packing the diaper bag, my bag, and cleaning the whole house. After I got everything packed and clean to my liking, I took a shower and headed to bed. It was five am, I figured I would have about four hours to sleep. Boy was I wrong.
An hour later I was sound asleep in bed when I was suddenly soaked all the way down to my knees. I bolted up, grabbed the blankets with me and went into the bathroom. I got dressed quickly and went to tell my mother what had happened.
I went upstairs and my mother and grandmother were sitting outside having their morning coffees and cigarettes. I opened the door, and told my mom that my water had just broken. I had never seen either of them put down a cigarette or a cup of coffee that quickly! Lol
We went into the doctors, they checked the fluid, and sure enough it turned the swab blue. They hooked me up to the monitor to make sure he was doing fine, and called the doctor. The anesthesiologist came in and gave me the epidural, and told me it would numb me from the belly button down.
After about five minutes, I was numb from the armpits down and couldn’t feel a thing. They took me into the operating room and my mom was there with me in scrubs and a mask.
The doctors came in and prepped me, put up the curtain and were moving all around. I was very scared and shaking (they say that it’s because of the IV and the numbness that you shake uncontrollably).
The doctor did something, probably pricked me or cut me or pinched me or something along those lines, and asked “does this hurt?” I didn’t feel a thing so I said ‘no’ and then I was out. I slept through most of it, and only woke up when I heard that first cry.
They held him up above the curtain for me to see, and I started crying. They took him to a table not far from me, and within my view, and I watched and cried the whole time. I was trying very hard not to doze off-the meds made me very sleepy.
They brought my son to me and had me hold him and they wheeled both of us out to the recovery room.
My little boy was nine pounds, two ounces, twenty and a half inches long, and his head was thirty three centimeters around. ^_^
I named him Caspyan Andrew a few hours later. Both of us are healthy and doing just fine, and mommy has fifteen staples in her tummy.

Congrats to you!!

I had wanted to post earlier, but didn't get to in time. But i wanted to let you know that both my children were over 9 pounds when they were born. And I pushed them out naturally. My son was 9 pounds and 1 ounce at 21 and a half inches long. I had to have an episiotomy with him since his head was so spectacularly huge. And my daughter was even bigger at 9 pounds and 4 ounces and 22 and a half inches long. I didn't need an episiotomy with her nor did I tear. And before I ever got pregnant, I was only about 5 foot 4 inches and 113 pounds with the "curves" of a 10 year old boy. xd

It's all irrelevant now that you've had your baby (and he's so adorable!! ), but I was just wanting to let you know that not all large babies must be birthed by C-Section, but you ended up having one anyway (which seems to have worked out just fine for you two smile ). But I am glad you're finally done and you now have a beautiful baby boy to show for all of it. ^_^

Well, the problem was that he wasn't pushing down on my cervex and it wasn't dialating... I never did dialate more than a one sweatdrop but he's out and we are both fine, thanks everyone for the congratulations ^_^
I had my staples out today, and it didn't hurt like I thought it would (except one where the skin had started to grow over it)
Everything is going well, and Thanks again for all the support and advice ^_^

I'm just happy you both made it through and are healthy. ^_^ If a C-Section was the best thing, then that's totally cool. My SIL had to have a C-Section with her first because it was breeched.

But congrats again and I look forward to seeing more super cute babeh pics! 4laugh
