Chubbs shuffled a bit closer, but kept some distance. There's so much you can put on a guy before they snap and being in close vacinity to a hairy monster probably didn't help. He tried to remember how long ago it had been since his first change, and he winced, thinking about the pain.

" I don't remember exactly when it happened, I was on here for a while before it happened. They never freakin let you know either, it just like happens"

Chubbs held his arms up and shrugged to add to his lack of knowledge on the subject. Then something sprang to mind.

" Oh hey umm use that intercom thingy in ya room, sometimes you'll get someone that can give you some info bout it, including what you'll end up becoming. Just if you get that rank b*****d Sabin, call back later. Try and talk to this gal Aubery, she's fairly alright, probably the only person with a soul up in them labs there"

Chubbs looked up and his face showed somewhat annoyance at the statement. A joke? not really, but the guy was new and he had to realise it was all real.

" Mate, if this were a costume i'd rip it off right now. I have wished a hundred times over that this was some joke, some game show, freakin Punk'd at least. But no it ain't, it's the real deal, does this look like a costume?"

And with that Chubbs leaned forward and open his jaws wide to show the inside of his mouth.

Chubbs shut his mouth back up with a snap of his teeth, no it wasn't a costume, no matter how much he wanted it to be. Chubbs heard the whisper and all he could think was " He doesn't exist in this place".

" There's a bunch of us, I mean like, there's gotta be more than fifty of us here now. More come all the time, well you are one of those. I know I'm not the best for tellin the facts but that's basically what's going on here. Better to find out now before you meet the wrong person, piss em off and they gut ya"

" Seventy-five?!, geez, this is so getting out of hand"

Chubbs scratched his lower jaw with his long claws, his tail brushing the sand side to side as it wagged slowly. This was getting to be a pretty small island and quickly, Chubbs wondered where it would end.

" You'll meet other, few dangerous, I'm one of them, but I'm on some experimental drug that stops me from tearing everything to pieces. Some are nice, we stick by each other."

" Great, last thing she needs is to be turned into an animal, god the labs are morons."

Chubbs hook his head and sighed, and with a grunt, got to his feet and started getting the sand off himself. Victor seemed calm enough for now, and Chubbs was getting hungry.

" I'm glad they came up with the drug. Heard I went completely feral and gutted some poor b*****d. No one died, and I'm okay now, I just can't get too angry or i'll go all Hulk on people"

He gave a bit of a grin, just to show the jest in his comment.

" Listen, I better scooch along and find some grub. If I don't eat, all kinds of things start to look tastey, if ya know what I mean"

Chubbs winked and brushed off his arm as he started shuffling away.

" It's alot to deal with I know, but there is 75 others here that know what ya going through, so ya not alone"

Chubbs turned and waved and nodded. The guy was alright, and truth be told that kind of went a little better than expected. Wandering off into the bushed, Chubbs picked up the sent of swine and took off on all fours.
