K 19 The Government laid off millions of workers, eliminating the Middle Class and effectively creating a colossal rift between the elite upper class and the enormous lower class. Heavy tariffs were imposed. Transportation became socialized, and personal vehicles were eliminated. People are able to get from place to place by either walking or using the government’s less-than-luxurious transports. I can just so totally see Toronto heading in this direction. If the current mayor is re-elected.

Sephiroth_2000 xd In effect, yes, Maniac. Our long lived characters will finally come to rest. Perhaps, and this is only a suggestion, we could consider in the future releasing another story back in-line with the one we have now, perhaps in the Side-RP subforum. I was actualy thinkign somethign like that myself. Aryx has been a long runing character for two years, and a concept for atleast four, I'd hate to see him just fade out of existence. But, on the side, I am having fun thinkign ip concepts for a new character. I'm fiddlign with the idea that he may have been born blind.

If the current mayor is re-elected. It's official. T.O.'s screwed. David Miller (Mayor who screwed up Toronto) was re-elected. And he has an extra year as mayor. (Used to be three, now it's four.)

yeah, s**t happens.
If we go on like this in holland, we don't get the best council we ever had... in fact, we could just as well give it to something equalling communist greenpeace.
Don't get me wrong, I am definatly approving a better enviroment, but I do not think getting rid of all nuclear energy is the way to get there. Looking at todays safety of it, we actually need more nuclear plants, until nuclear fusion is far enough.
There is no way that, before 2050 or something, we can replace all nuclear plants by clean energy plants. What other option do we have? Coal? More people have died so far because of coal then of nuclear energy; In fact, I do think more people died because of coal plants then because of nuclear...weapons.
So, it is better to have clean energy & nuclear energy then clean energy & coal as these so called enviroment parties want.
Besides that, I do not think that just opening the countries borders even more is a pre, neither are free kid creches; parents need to learn to take care of their children themselves, if you can't take care of them don't take them.
An economic growth of -.1 pecent and a 2% growth in jobless people isn't a perfect thing either, raising the funds for those jobless doesn't really make them look for a job quicker either. They also want to improve education, but they do want to make it more expensive, and want to make sure students do even the hardest studies quicker. While most compagnies want that students take longer, and have some more social things next to their studies for extra experience.
Then I haven't even started on their views about criminality, traffic jams and integration...
But whatever we vote here, all parties are somewhat crap. Just not as crap as SP, PVDA and groenlinks

I'm not a mod...but I don't feel uncomfertable in the slightest when I say SHUT UP THE POLITICS! PLZNTHX 3nodding
Seriously...can we not turn this into a politicle discussion? I understand that politics seems to be part of the role play (I'm sure that was K's idea ninja ), but can we not talk about how great or bad our own governments and politics are compared to the one in the role play?
