Chath sighed and nodded his head. After all this and he didn't get to learn anything. "Alright. I will see if I can go find myself a partner." he replied trying not too look too dissapointed.

"Should I call once I find one? Or should we schedule another date right now?" he asked not wanting to just leave.

With a sigh he moved off, this was getting annoying. He wanted to learn how to fight. Not just doing a random brawl type of fighting. Keir got up and followed his boy out. He looked back giving a glare to the teacher thinking that this whole thing had been a complete waste of time.

Chath's shoulders were slumped his hands in his shorts pockets. This day couldn't get any worse.

Earako had just gotten out of class, and so was dressed with relative simplicity. A black skirt, with no lace, that did not quite reached her knees. She had on a red button up shirt, with a black vest, and a red tie. Black tights covered her legs, and her shoes were in the same colours. Apparently it was the school girl look, today. At her side, Vimber had a huge gold gold chain around her neck, with a faux diamond dangling from it. She paced at Earako's side restlessly.

Da' had said he'd be late today.

Spotting Chath, she smiled, glad to see a familiar face. Maybe he could keep her company?

"Good afternoon."

Chath looked up, he was so preoccupied by his gloomy thoughts he failed to see Earako until she spoke. He forced a smile onto his face and rubbed the back of his head.

"Good Afternoon to you too Earako. What are you doing at the compond?" he asked curious as to why Earako was here in the first place. "Do you have class or something?"

"I had one, it's over. But my Da' isn't going to be here for hours, so now I've got nothing to do." Earako allowed herself a slight sigh, but kept her smile in place. It was good to run into him. And it would be impolite to look unhappy. "And you, are you here for a class?"

Vimber, at this point, had spotted Keir. Dragons, she'd found, fell into two catagories. Those made to serve her, and those she hated. Which one would this be? She growled experimentally. She wasn't angry, really, her Special had been showering her with plenty of attention. But there were principles to uphold.

Chath looked to the red dragon as it growled and worried for a bit about Keir. Then he focused on Earako's question.

"Uh well I was suppose to have a fighting class today but my mom forgot to sign me up with a partner. so i guess the class is canceled." He replied not really thinking much about asking her. She seemed to dainty to be fighting.

Keir looked to the red as he heard the growl his wings went up offensively, he was on edge, the teacher had managed to make a fool of him he wasn't about to let some new comer dragon push him around too.

Fighting? Earako bit her lip. Archery had helped, but she knew she had to learn more than that. She had to be prepared. There would not always be family to protect her. She would be a lady, but Da' said villians were more common than heros. She didn't want to be a victim.

"I could be your partner, if there's still time for the class." She offered, in her habitual whisper. "And if you'd like."

Vimber twisted around her Special's legs, not liking the black dragons tone. This one was a threat then. This one couldn't seem to see how superior she was. "Mine." She hissed, her own wings lifting and her growl deepening.

((Italics for speaking in Draconic.))

Chath's gloomy face brightened, "Really?? that wuold be awesome! We could head back right now!" he said excitedly, "I woud love to have you as a partner." he added hastily so he just didn't sound like he would take anyone that was around to help him finish the class.

Keir looked at the red with some idle thought roaming around his head but he didn't care to speak it. If that dragon wanted to be possive so be it. He sat down near Chath his eyes still locked on the red. True black were one of the smaller breeds of dragon, but for what he lost with with size he madeup with attitude.

How very observant of you... he replied smugly as if teasing the dragon about its intelligence.

"I am glad for the chance." Earako replied, with careful politeness. It was almost true. She didn't want to learn to fight. But she had to. She did. And so she would. Making a quick curtsy, difficult to do in her current skirt, she smiled at Chath, "If you would lead the way, sir."

A bit dramatic, yes, but Earako loved the dramatic, and it was a chance to be at least a little fun before the class. Earako's manners were at their best when she was nervous.

Vimber was not a stupid dragon. However, she was an incredibly single minded one, and while she knew there was something underlying the black dragon's words, she didn't exactly pick up on what. Instead, she brushed against her Special's legs, churring contently as she was stroaked. "Good."

A dragon of few words, this one.

Chath smiled his mood brightening immensly. "This is awesome Earako! Come the class is back this way." He replied almost giddily, he reached for her hand to clasp it, the offer hanging in the air in hopes that someone might take it. "Don't call me sir." he commented with a silly grin. "Makes me sound old. Chath works just fine." He continued with a laugh.

Keir watched the dragon in mild amusement. Single minded indeed. He made a note not to bother the bat girl since he would most likely end up in a fight with the red dragon. Keir stood, stretched his limbs and wings and then started trotting back towards the classroom that held that very sarcastic teacher.

Earako did not take Chath's hand. Instead, she placed her hand lightly on his arm, in the tradition of ladies found walking with gentleman. Her touch was a light one, just the barest hint of her fingers. "Chath." She echoed him readily enough, allowing him to lead them both back to the fighting classroom. She was anxious to get started, and thus get it over with.

Vimber ignored Keir, and stayed pressed close to her Special's side. She didn't trust either the boy or the dragon. She wouldn't be letting them out of her sight.

Chath felt a bit strange, like he was now escorting Earako to the class, rather than taking her there. But whatever, she was nice, her dragon seemed a bit weird but he wouldn't go as far as be rude to Earako by mentioning that.

"It is just back that way, if we hurry I am sure we can find ...I think her name is Lilly. Hopefully she is still around." he said looking back and forth to catch a glimpse of the pink hair teacher. He then lowered his voice some and whispered to his new comrad. "Don't be too offended by the teacher, she is rather harsh. I don't think she likes...kids or anyone really." he explained trying to give the bat girl early warning.

Keir was ahead of them, when he saw the white dragon he knew that they would be close. But so far no signs of the tiny annoying thing.

(guess this would be a good point for Lilly to post XD)

Lilly Ghardian

PostPosted: Sat Dec 09, 2006 5:51 am

Indeed, Lilly was still there. While the woman was, in fact, 'harsh', as Chath put it. However, she was also human, and needed that glorious thing called 'money'. If she repeatedly abandoned classes, that'd definately lead to getting fired.

A horrid thing just to think about.

Not surprisingly, impatience in this situation was non-exsistant for her, and when she saw the kid coming back--with another one--she seemed mildly aggravated he'd returned so quickly.

When they were close enough, she warily eyed Earako. "Aye, alright. This one'll do."

Oh my, she hadn't met this teacher before. She sure looked like she knew how to fight! Earako felt her heart flutter in her chest, not out of fear of the teacher, but of fear of screwing up. Appearances were not, in this case, decieving. She was a fairly delicate little thing.

She let go of Chath's arm, and took a step forward, giving a little curtsy. "Thank you Ma'am, for agreeing to teach me. My name is Earako."

There, that covered the official sides of thing. Now, for the scary part. The part where she had to try and get this right. She had a feeling that she wouldn't take to it so well as she had the bow and arrow.

Vimber took one look at the teacher and labeled her a high level threat, no hesitation. Red dragons could be aggressive, but they weren't the sort to fight battles they'd loose. She stood, subdued, at her Special's side. As long as the womand didn't act to take her Special, she was going to be on her best behavior, here. She continued to ignore Keir. He was beneath her.

Chath gave a apologetic smile at the teachers retort to Earako, well at least she agreed to teach them still. When Earako introduced herself he nearly died from blushing, he had never really noticed how cute she was, and brave. He wasn't too sure i fhe would of been brave enough to bow in front of this teacher. Coughing slightly he turned his head to face Lilly again ready to finally begin the class.

Keir watched smugly, he knew this teacher was dangerous to him and the red, but having met her once before had him at an advantage, he sat beside Chath quietly and knew he would only act when asked too. There was no fooling around with this teacher near by.
