"Yeah, it does..." Sid sounded bemused. He didn't want to talk about it, but how the hell could he keep pushing everything aside when he had extra digits and teeth he could potentially gouge his own eyes out with? It was only going to get worse- the teeth were going to get longer, those particular scales were going to get brighter, the list went on and on. He felt ill just thinking about it, but that could just as easily be because he hadn't eaten all day...

Sid dove under the water before he could have a chance to freak about it... there was a time and place for that, and he couldn't allow it in front of Billy. He kicked out with his legs, and it wasn't until after he rose for air that he remember that was a new luxury. The sunlight was still too much of a pain in the a** to allow him to enjoy that to the fullest, and without the meager protection of the sunglasses he was forced to squint even more.

"This really sucks," he muttered. He meant the light sensitivity, but it could have just as easily applied to any of the other issues.

"Which in particular?" Billy ducked down underwater and the up again, drinking in a quick breath of water, "I ne'er was much o' a swimmer untill I had no choice in th'matter... now I t'ink I'm rather good, all t'ings concidered. Gets easier, I s'pose!"

"The light," he said simply. He tried to hide the fact that one little dive had him slightly out of breath by by breaking up his sentences."The sunlight... the glowing in the dark... Do you still have those cigarettes I gave you?"

Horrible think to ask when he was just catching his breath, but it was a nice reminded he'd stretched what little he'd kept for himself too then. He'd hate to have to resort to drowning the nicotine withdraw with other substances.

"Aye, I do," He said with a frown. Taking back what he had rightfully given him, huh? Ah well, he was a good enough guy. Billy supposed he could share. "Why don' y'come back durrin' th'night. When it's all dark out? M'usually up. God an erratic sleep schedual." He shrugged at that.

"I may do that, yeah." Sid was having a hard time figuring out the best way to tread water, the way that required the least about of effort. He finally settled for just floating on his back. Turning his head back to the bank only got him an ear full of water, not a clear view, but it was safe to assume the chair hadn't moved from where he left it.

"I just thought I oughtta take the chair back as soon as I could... but then, y'know, I got a little delayed..." He tilted his head back just enough to put his eyes underwater. It helped a little. That only led to more water in his ears and the dull roar that came from it pressing against his eardrums. How long before that changed?

"I've got weed, if you ever wanna trade."

He raised his head for Billy's response.

Billy's smile dropped and he hesitated. He almost said yes, but stopped himself to clear his throat. "No, no t'ank'yew. Not'in' worse'n cigarettes fer me now. No' after... e'eryt'ing."

"Oh, right... Sorry."

Still unable to get comfortable, Sid flipped himself upright again.

"I wouldn't have asked- about the cigarettes, that is- but going cold turkey was a mistake. I can still smoke after all... it's just awkward."

With all those teeth it had to be.

"We gotta find ourselves s'more soon, bu' untill then we're good. He twisted to eight-limbed back stroke back towards his rock where his backpack returned to it's being parked. "Aye, so, b'sides changin', y'been up t'much? Work on m'play at all?" He seemed insensitive to the fact the last time he had seen the man,he was far less fishy.

Sid followed Billy and, unsurprisingly, had trouble keeping up.

"I haven't been very inspired... I don't know where to begin with satire, man."

"Then write whatever t'start. Anyt'in'. Jes' somet'in' t'play wit'. Somet'in fer 'em t'read." He noticed their difference in speeds, and took a quiet pleasure in beating *someone* at *something* for the first time in however long it had been.

"I'll try..." Sid said, but he still didn't know where to begin. Once on back on dry land he realized just how much more awkward he was than in the water. He slipped his sandals back on, which he managed only because they strapped around his feet. His toes stuck out a few inches past them, but he didn't want to risk going barefoot just yet. As he picked up the sunglasses, he wondered if it would somehow be possible to widen the the nose of the damn things. A question for Newt later, perhaps. In the meantime he had to force his mind back towards the play.

"I'll work on it when I get home." He was telling himself more than Billy.

"Good. I'll give ye' another pack o' smokes once it's done," He tossed him a pack from the dwindling carton in Billy's pack. He woudl need to find more, but he was hesitant to ask the labs for anything. He didnt'w ant to even think about htem more than he needed to.

Sid fumbled with the pack of cigarettes thrown over, handling it like a hot potato until he got a handle on them. He tried to cover his embarrassment by grinning as much as he could safely allow, which ultimately made it barely noticable. Something more to practice. "I shall do my best then."

He waved at Billy with the other hand. "Guess I'd better go get to work... See ya around."

And with that he turned and walked back towards the village.
