Last year we had a girl tenor, and the year before that we had both of our tenors being females. Two years ago, those two girls on tenors were rocking it down...but the girl tenor last year was just plain pathetic...>.>

Yukiei Yuki I'm not a Tenor this year but I will be next year!!! Our Tenor Player this year is a Senior and so my band director Wants me on Tenors next year!!! I'm SO excited!!! We have a rediculously small line of 1 Tenor, 2 Snares, and 4 Bass Drums. But it's really cool, we're all like family. Hey, back and playin Tenors, had to go against someone else that wanted the spot but I made it!!! Our line grew a bit 5 basses, 2 snares, and 2 tenors. They split our snares this year and put one on Tenors with me, and they brought in a new snare drummer. So me and him are always talking about whats gonna happen next year when we are the captains. So anyway, Tenors are a blast, and next years gonna be beast!

Im trying out for tenors next year, but ill probably have to wait, cause we only have 4 and we have 3 juniors and one amazing sophmore on em. Ill probaby be bass drum, we have *cry* 4 leaving next year. We have 1 snare leaving so we will have 4 open bass drums (we have 6) 5 open snares (next year we will have 9) and no open tenors (unless some go on to somethin else)

I wanna play tenors, but they're too heavy and apparently, our cymbal player is better...
And knowing my luck, I'll be bass. I'll just be happy being on drumline, so I could try out for drum major, at least.

I want to play tenors this year and our line is kind of lacking (3 out of 4 bass drummers, two out of three snares and one out of two tenors) so I have a chance next year since I'm the best bass drummer on the line. One of the pit members said that our percussion instruction mentioned putting him on tenors next year though, but that's kind of rediculous seeing as he joined this year after band camp and doesn't know how to march. Tenors next year? That would kind of be a slap in the face.

I tried out for tenors and whooped a** by beating a senior...unfortunately I couldn't exactly carry the damn things for an eleven minute show. xD
.______________________.;;
Yeah so I got moved to bass drum where I was then beaten by a senior again and then I got moved to timpani which actually was the funnest thing ever. I had my bubble -draws a circle with fingers- and I loved my bubble xD

tenors own! hands down! I am the only girl to play them for the past 3 years at my school, and the only girl ever to be a sectionl eader with tenors.
I could run with them on too, except that I can't run well in the first place, but I am still capable. We had to carry ours for 8 hours of drum camp, usually with several hours straight. It was quite painful.
Sadly I can no longer re-live my tenor playing days...I injured my back in a car accident and can't lift them anymore. crying
