"Nice to meet you, too, Leini," Kukuru replied with a smile, and his eyes glittered fondly. This one was energetic, sure enough, and friendly. The other seemed more wary of him... and then, everyone's attention turned to the green-eyed being, masked from perfect view by darkness.
Kukuru watched as the stranger's emerald eyes flickered, and the beast finally came out of the shadows into full view.
Wow, he thought to himself, eyes locking onto the feline's form for the first time, That's one big cat.
Then came the questions. She seemed to be... well, giving them a good talking to, that was for sure. The klipspringer looked at the big cat, warily. She seemed to only be making conversation... but then, he didn't lay trust in her straight away. Unlike the little dogs, she was a formidable size.
"Have you completely lost your wits?"
That question seemed to be directed at him. He tilted his head, and raised his eyebrows, genuinely confused.
"And why would you assume that I have lost these wits of mine, stranger?" he asked, a little cheerfully.
As far as the predator/prey thing went, Kukuru didn't really understand much. His 'father' had always told him to keep an eye out for predators... but, as far as Kukuru knew, he had been raised by wild dogs.
And so, obviously, that meant he was one. Right?

Leini wriggled and looked at the big cat. "What do ya mean by 'yet'? she questioned while pawing at peice of grass. The small wild dog sat and looked at the feline as she walked past her.
Not being able to sit still for long, Leini skittered back over to her brother. The talking didn't change the fact that she wanted to play, but she tried to sit still be her brother, so she wouldn't get in trouble.
"Eaten?" Leini questioned. "But why would we get eaten?" She didn't think they were THAT far from the den. She had her head tilted slightly to the side in confusion.

He was traveling. Oh how brilliant. This is why she hated youth, they all had brains the size of peas. Then they didn't even use half of what pathetic bit there was. "Maybe you should wait till your older, eh?" She showed her teeth at him, her tail curling and snapping in constant repitition.
"Are you implying you had none to begin with?" she asked the snack that talked back. Honesly, she thought she was off her rocker, but these plump poodles put her jurisdiction to shame.
Tayhira chose not to answer the small wild dog who asked her questions. She was large compared to them, she reserved the right to do so. They were almost cute - because they were so ridiculuously ugly it was all you could call them. She gave the young wild dog a sweet little grin to make her question reality.
"Because things eat things," she answered, her eyes looking to the horned and back. "Typically leopards, and wild dogs, eat deer-like animals." She watched the herbavore and his broad smiles.

Ky's gaze went from the leopard to the Kilps, He didnt know what to think. His ears went back and tail dropped. Older? He was old enough to think on his own, to do things he wanted right? He tried to hide his confusion by stepping forward and trying to protect his sister. all this talk of eating was making him even more hungry, but being so young he didnt know how to hunt. His silence showed everything.

Kukuru twitched a little, and his friendly smile weakened. This leopard had quite a sharp tongue.
"Uh..." he turned, looking at the dogs around him, the back at the leopard. She sure did have an effect on everyone... the cheer of the meeting had gone down a significant amount, and it seemed like an awkward silence had arisen following the cat's comments.
He strengthened, then looked to the big cat.
Wow, he thought, ears flicking with interest, There just might be something up with that one. The sarcastic type, she seems.
"Well," he voiced his opinion, voice smooth and strong, "Maybe that's so, leopard. Maybe I didn't have any wits in the first place. Which answers your question, doesn't it? I couldn't have lost them, as I had none to loose," he paused, and looked confused for a moment, "Though, I am pretty perplexed about why I would loose these wits if I had them. Which I don't. Ah..."
The silver klipspringer shook his head, and tried to collect himself.
"Anyway," he commented, eyes flashing, "I'm not exactly what you'd call your typical preybeast. Interesting upbringing I had, you see. I'm the same as these guys."
He nodded in the direction of Leini and Ky, and grinned.
"Isn't that right?"
They wouldn't want to eat him, anyway.
Why would they?

Leini glances at her brother for moving in front of her. She gave a wide yawn, to show that she was sleepy.
'Isn't that right?'
She looked over to the Klipspringer, wondering what he was asking about. "Isn't what right?" She asked, staring at the preybeast. She hadn't been paying attention.
The glanced to the cat creature. She didn't like this cat-creature. It was mean. She huffed and turned her attention back to the preybeast.

Kukuru didn't even flinch.
"I mean... I'm like you guys," he repeated for Leini, worried that she had, somehow, misunderstood, "Ah... not that you guys would know, that is. Despite appearances, I am a wild dog like you guys. In spirit, that is."
He gave a nod to the leopard. It was short and sharp. He wanted to prove his point.
"Wild dogs don't eat other wild dogs," he said, his young eyes wet and glittering.

"Only problem is," the leopard explained. "They don't know your a wild dog at heart until they get to your heart." Alas, she wasn't getting anywhere with the group of them. They were either too soft or too dumb to understand. Time would fix that, and so would the real world. They'd have to learn to eat things like the little antelope if they wished to live.
Then again, there was some truth in what the prey said to her. If he was raised by Wild Dogs and he happened to stay in their protection he could potentially be very safe, if they didn't turn on him. Besides, talking to them so young could have its advantages, too. She wasn't going to tell him that, though.
"It seems that you've got it all figured out for yourself," she admitted to them, for they had. Only problem was, the world didn't like people and plans. They always had a way to ruin them. You had to be sneaky about it, or you'd lose everything. Just as she had. To the lions. Well, she'd take away from the lions what they'd ripped from her.
"Some wild dogs eat other wild dogs. Some lions eat other lions. Its called cannabalism, sick, sick cannabalism." With that, she turned and left them to think, perhaps someday they'd come to reality, or maybe they'd never have to.

At the leopard's comments, Kukuru said nothing. His heart, huh?
'That's right, she's got a point there,' he thought, sadly, 'A heart is nothing but an organ, is it?'
Kukuru liked to think of it as more of a 'house' for feelings. A place of emotions, and strength. But... it was beating to keep him alive, rather than to feed him the strength and courage he desired. An organ... that could be ripped into, and devoured...
He shook the nasty thought away hastily, looked to Tayhira, and straightened. He would be strong. After all, if being raised by wild dogs had taught him anything, it was that he should stick up for himself... catch his own meat, look after himself, defend himself.
"Yeah, well, it's actu-" he started, but was cut off as the leopard spoke once more. Something about... cannabalism?
Cannabalism?
The klipspringer blinked, as a whole new idea on the world seemed to open up to him. Beings of the same kind, eating other species? Surely not...
What horrible world had he been born into, anyway?
There seemed to be slight... pain in the leopard's voice as she said this, though Kukuru knew not the reason for this. As she left, he looked to the earth below him.
"You seem to know more of the world than I do, cat," he muttered, darkly, "Same... s-same species killings? Nothing as terrible as that could ever happen..."
He paused, not knowing if the leopard would stop, or leave with that. The two wild dog pups seemed to have stayed quite silent... maybe the cat was as daunting to them? She saw was an intimidating figure... he'd hate to see her snap. He'd hate to say anything that might... dig up those past memories she seemed to have. It showed in her eyes, a little. They did say that eyes were the windows to the soul, after all. Hoping the leopard would not hear him, Kukuru turned his head away.
"N...no. Nothing as terrible as that could ever happen..."
His voice was quiet, and though it was a statement, not a question, it was still riddled with uncertainty.

Ky's thoughts bounced about, the feline seemed to know a lot about the world. but what were lions? his family never talked about them before, he didn't know what to think about them. All kinds of things and words he had never heard before were being tossed around. Before he could react to anything that had been said the cat was leaveing.
To his surprise he didnt want her to leave, he wanted to learn more. This leopard could be of great help to him, she could teach him how to become the great dog he wanted to be. As she left Ky took a step forward, "Wait.." he said quietly, "Take me with you." he said a little louder. As he spoke he bounced through the grass after her. He was so cought up in wanting to go with this cat that he had forgotten his sister was there.

Leini was staring at the catcreature as it left. She jumped as she saw he brother run after it.
"Wait! Kylosus!" Leini said rushing after him. Her heart was racing as she heard his words.
Take me with you...
"No Ky, don't leave me," She whined.
She didn't know what to tell her parents if her brother left. If her brother was leaving, then so was she! Two less to take care of for their parents, two less to feed.

Kukuru watched the spectacle with interest. It seemed that this 'Ky' had taken to the leopard's 'wisdom', if he could call it that.
His ears flicked with discomfort as he heard the strange request of the smaller wild dog, and the sister's calls for the brother to return.
Still, he was amused. It was rather like a tale. Would the leopard stop and turn back, or keep on moving?... He stiffened, but realised that the tale had come to a stop. It seemed the leopard was making her way off. The sharp scent of klipspringer in the distance alerted Kukuru of the prescense of his brother.
Makuu would be waiting for him.
Stretching, the little klipspringer looked back at Ky and Leini. It wasn't his business, of course, if the leopard stopped or not... but he still wished to see. But then, his ties to his brother were great.
"It was nice to meet you all," he said, in a hushed tone, and then looked to Ky.
Goodluck, little dog, he thought to himself, silently, and trotted away.

(( oO This Rp is weird. I dun know if it's finished or not? I'll post anyways... ))
Leini stopped, loosing sight of her brother, she whimpered and started to retrace her steps to head home.
She wasn't heading completly home, she'd let he father find her somewhere. She didn't know what to do... She couldn't face her family, and she couldn't find her brother. She she'd let one of them come to her... she hoped.
Padded close to home, she layed down and waited.
