Nanaki knew, probably better than anyone, what it was like to carry around half-healed scars and open wounds- literally as well as figuratively. He also understood that she didn't want to talk about it, but he felt compelled to offer his support. It seemed she was very similar to him in a lot of ways- he wanted to help her, if he could.
