She wondered what he was thinking…then again she always wondered what ones were thinking. She wished she could read minds, would make life a whole lot easier. She watched as he gestured for her and she came. She had always wondered what it would be like to fly, she never asked Erik or anyone she knew with wings. How she would pay to be different. Her own bland coat seemed to drone her own spirits. Little did she know he was thinking the exact opposite.
She looked to him curiously wondering what he was thinking but she dismissed it from herself. He was rather bigger than him now that she paid attention it gave her some what of a sense of security. She smiled, “I think on this lovely day it would be nice to travel with another, don’t you?” she asked curiously.

Cynara's voice, soft as it was, broke in on Zaphiro's thoughts and brought his attention back to the present. Smiling a bit ruefully at his own inattention, he glanced over at Cynara, inclining his head slightly in agreement. "Indeed; while there are certainly things to be said for solitude, it's pleasant to have someone else around to enjoy the day with. Particularly on nice days like this."
Smiling to himself, he glanced about at the trees. Warm and mild, sunny, with a slight breeze; it was a lazy day, the sort of day for lovers to linger and children to romp. He'd always enjoyed days like this...

Cynara's head looked up to his, his features were so delicate...not femine definatly masculine. And he hadn't pulled any macho stuff yet, though she probably wouldn't mind. She was a lady who liked to be treated like one, her emerald gaze fell to his. Her thoughts lingered to Erik, Cyrus had told of his son for he had met him briefly for she was told. A wind like her father, white though...very unlike his father and mother. Odd. She stopped her mind wondering, from childeren.
"You don't catch days like these that often this time of month," she smiled warmly to him. She started to wonder if he was binded...or rather mated. Why was she thinking of such thoughts?! They just met, a warmth crept to her cheeks as she blushed as she pushed the thought from herself.

Quirking a brow at Cynara, Zaphiro tilted his head at the small mare. "And what is it about this time of the month that inspires the weather to be bad? Or are you referring to this time of this particular month?" Not that it really mattered, but it seemed rather like a strange statement. Not that Zaphiro was unused to strange statements!
Still, it seemed like something worth mentioning. Too much silence had a habit of making him uneasy, and he usually tried to avoid such awkwad silences. She seemed to be looking at him rather oddly, maybe because of said silence...

"It's usually freezing around this time, and blizzards and what not. It is winter after all." She looked to him, "Not that I mind winter, I just don't like he cold as much as the warmth." her emearald orbs gazed to him, "Do you prefer the cold winters, or the warm summers Zaphiro?" she was curious to know what he thought of the changing years.

"True; though I was recently farther north, over near the mountains? There's a great deal of snow up that way; I suppose that you could say that's what brought me over to this part of the woods to begin with." Smiling, Zaphiro glanced around at the bare ground, the light breeze causing his curls to whip out to one side like some sort of banner. It was pleasant to not have to wade through snow, but he wasn't really sure he could say he had a preference...
"Well, I suppose I like both, in moderation. Too much of anything can get tiring, even whether. What about you, Cynara? What do you think suits you the best?" Tilting his head curiously, he found himself eyeing her dark coat yet again. If it was anything like his, it probably absorbed heat really well; that was part of the reason why he didn't mind winter too much.

"I was born in the Spring so I shall say spring, plus I love the flowers that blossom from the trees. There all multi-colored and beautiful," she glanced to Zaphiro truly sensitive at times and others a romping tom-boy. Choices, choices. "I do like variation, I'm sure if it was summer all the time I would miss the snowflakes and if it were winter I would miss the heat of the sun."
She watched him eye her coat, "Something wrong?" she asked. She looked to him, curiously. She herself had caught herself being enchanted by his night sky coat as well.

"Spring certainly is a nice time of year visually, that much I have to agree. Indeed, it's also one of the nicest in terms of temperature. And forgive me for staring, I was just reminded by our discussion of the problems that cone with having a dark coat in the middle of the summer. I suppose that you must have problems with overheating as well?"
Perhaps a bit of a strange take for a conversation, but this was actually the first time that Zaph had met another with a dark coat like himself and therefore it seemed natural to take advantage of the opportunity to commiserate.

She nodded as he agreed with him, "It's alright," she didn't know that her natural coat was well...that interesting. She looked to him as her eyes widening, "Another who suffers from the sun, water is amazing though." she smiled gently. "Then again I think father should be renamed, his name means 'Lord of the Sun,' I see him in the lake and the shade than the sun." she laughed slightly. "He's a darker shade than me I believe," she looked to him, "Do you have any family?"

"Well, I'd hazard a guess that those with dark coats like we have are almsot guaranteed to suffer some problems with the heat, but on the postive side it makes winter a great deal easier to bear." Smiling, Zaphiro ducked his head to pass beneath a somewhat low hanging brach, then pulled it out of the way so that Cynara could pass by without being hit.
Her question about family caused him to pause for a moment, though. Really, it wasn't as though he was alone, but he knew he didn't really have much in terms of what she was referring to. "I was an only child, raised by my mother; since she passed away it's been basically me. That's why I came to this area originally, actually."
Though at the time accepting the reality of loss had been hard, Zaphiro liked to think that he'd moved on enough. She had told him that it was important to keep moving and not dwell on the past, and he had done his best to honor that wish. Still, he knew that many Soquilis felt the need to exress sympathy for his loss, regardless of how long ago it had happened, so he was quick to move the topic along. "This isn't the first time you've mentioned your father; I take it that the two of you are close?"

She smiled, "Yes, it is an advantage, one I quite enjoy as well. Easier to cool down than warm up." She watched as he took the branch so she wouldn't have to duck, she was only an inch away about, she was pretty short. "Thank you." Perfect gentleman.
"I am sorry for your loss," she nosed his cheek softly before he rapidly switched the conversation on him. She hadn't known what it was like to lose someone so close to her. Her emerald orbs gaze softening thinking what it would be like if she would lose her own mother, it paled her.
"Father?" she shrugged. "He is the usually one I talk to when need be, I don't see my siblings or mother that often. I live with my father in his teepee, It's been getting crowded though. He beig an elder, Erik and Ares taking room. I haven't actually been with him for awhile now that I think about it." She frowned, "Well I'm glad you could come to these lands and accompianed myself."

At Cynara's words of condolence, Zaphiro barely inclined his head as a recognition of her sentiments, then chuckled as she related the trials and tribulations of teepee life. "Ah, crowdedness; I can sympathize with that myself. At the moment there are five others besides me that call my teepee home, though with one exception we are all wanderers by nature. Though on the rare occassion that all are back at the same time, things get a bit snug."
As he spoke, the sapphire blue stallion found himself looking around once again at the surrounding trees. More sunlight was pouring down on the two of them, indicating that the canopy overhead was getting more sparse. "Looks like we're getting closer to the edge of the woods, wouldn't you say?" He wasn't really sure what kind of a response he expected to that; but suddenly, he wasn't really sure what to do. After all, there was only so much walking and talking that could be done... "Where would you like to go?"

"Wow," her eyes widend. "We have four of us and our human Lily and that is it." She looked to him, "You must be snug then," she laughed softly. "Our teepee was upgraded last summer though, so there is room for another adult. I believe that will be Ares taking." She looked to him, "Sorry, I'm rambling again. I usually don't ramble...its...odd."
Her emerald orbs followed his to the trees, "I don't have a clue, I haven't laid eyes upon any snow fall this year. Just experienced the bitter cold, but now it really isn't to bad then again it could be our dark coats?" she raised her brow, smiling to him. Truth was she wasn't used to having people ask her where to go, she was used to being told to go. She was a very, very submissive mare. Could be her past relationships with some, but who knew. It was just awkward for her to be asked for her preference.

That reminded him, he'd forgotten to include his two-legger. Well, Zaph was pretty sure that Cynara understood he'd been counting her. "Well, one of my herdmates is virtually never around; I've seen him once or twice in all the time I've been a member of my herd. The others are about as transient as I am, so we've never really had a space issue. And don't worry about rambling; it's nice to hear another voice again."
Turning his head, he gace Cynara a true smile; obviously she was feeling that the situation was slightly awkward as well, and he didn't like the thought of someone around him bein uncomfortable. "How about we head out to the meadow? The wind might be a little strong, but the sun should be warm."

She nodded approvingly, she felt flattered for some weird reason but she didn't mind it. Her short mane barely moved in the breeze, curse her father again for it. How she longed for a long mane, so she could get it adorned with beautiful things and have it braided. Thing was the darned thing wouldn't grow. "The meadow sounds wonderful."
When he smiled she had to look away, other wise she would have blushed and embarrassed herself...though she could feel it already coming, the warmth came to her cheeks. "So, you travel a lot then?" she tried to get a conversaton started before she made herself to be a fool.
