His eyes shifted as she mentioned his name. "Hok'ee.. I would assume that's my name, of course, it sounds like my name." He took in a deep breath and raised his head a bit. He then let out his air in a half huff, half laugh. He felt silly for not knowing his name, but was proud of his name now that he had been reminded of what it was. No name sounded more suiting for such a handsome stud as himself.. Well.. handsome on a normal day, he was still a bit ruff looking at the moment.

She nodded her head and smiled, her ears twitching slightly. "Yes, it is your name. I'm surprised you had forgotten your own when you could remember mine..." Her ears perked as he laughed slightly, how she had missed her times with Hok'ee, but now he had returned. Seemingly different. Hopefully. There were somethings she didn't like about the old Hok'ee, now he seemed so different. Perhaps something happened that changed him?

He watched her for a moment in silence, looking as if he was partialy lost in though. His eyes shifted from side to side in a short quick movement, just once. It was as if he was searching for something. "Now that you mention it, your name is the only thing I remember. That and the love that follows." He looked to the ground, and followed it with his eyes briefly. Suddenly, his head reminded him of his wound. "Ahh.." he winced just a bit. "I might have fallen and hit my head something wicked, on a rock up stream. Although, I could have been pushed too.."

Chu'mana turned her face away from him slightly, looking at the ground. She was trying not to cry. Not that they would be tears of sadness, but perhaps sadness and happiness mixed together? "I'm glad that you could remember that....I don't know what I'd do if you didn't...."
Turning her eyes towards him, they seemed to glisten from tears that she was holding back. As he noted the wound on his head, she leaned forward to examine it closer, a small frown appearing on her dark lips. "Mmmm...I'd like to think that possibly you fell. I wouldn't know anyone who would want to push you to injure you..."

His heart warmed as he saw the look of one who cares deeply swim in her eyes. He cocked his head very slightly to the side, and smiled at her. "My dear, don't you fret, he started to say, with an almost chipper sound to his voice. I will never stop loving you. Tragedy may have scared my mind, but it can't scar my heart." He leaned in close to her, looking her directly into the eyes.
Surely she was right, nobody would push him, right? Who knew?
"I'm not sure, but my guess is the rock that left that mark you see knows. Before he could say another word, his stomach called out loudly. Judging by the empty pain in my belly, I'd say I was out for a bit.

She smiled at him weakly, his words makeing her heart jump a few times. Still, she was worried about him though. Maybe the knock on the head had changed him more than she thought. Perhaps it had left some odd side effects? Either way, she'd deal with them and stick it out. He was, afterall, her mate and they were in it together. "I'm glad, then. Because I will never stop loveing you Hok'ee....no matter what happens. Or what the future hands us.."
Her curly tail flicked this way and that before it settled against her hinde legs again. Leaning forward slightly, she nuzzled his cheek lovingly. "Well, then we should get you something to eat. Don't need you stumbling around and getting hurt again because you are hungry."

Hok'ee puffed up his chest and lifted his head high at the touch of her soft muzzle. "Me, stumble and get hurt again?? That will not happen. I'm too great to let such things happen twice." He was confident that it wouldn't happen again, even though he didn't know how it happened in the first place. He rose to his feet and began to prance in a slow, high step. "See, I won't stumble." He grined down at Chu'mana. He wasn't going to tell her that he still felt a bit week, he was too busy displaying his high step after all. He stoped by her side and then leaned in to n** at her once in a playful fashion. "Food does sound quite nice though.
A light rain began to fall from the sky.

Chu'mana giggled softly and shook her head. Well, that part of him hadn't changed much. "Yes, well. I'm going to watch you just to make sure. You never know what could happen..."
She flicked her tail again quickly at his n**. Her ears flicked a couple times as she giggled. Standing to her feet, she shook herself of any dirty and grass then turned to look at him. "Ok then. Lets go see if we can find anything..."
Lifting her head, she looked towards the sky as rain began to fall to the earth. Hopefully it wouldn't get too bad. The rain as of late was cold and dreary. Just the thing to kind of ruin one's mood.

His grin grew to a dashing smile and then he winked at her. "I like it when you watch me." Or course, he liked it when anyone watched him, but she mattered most. He whiped his slightly dirty mane to the other side and then looked up at the sky. It reminded him of the condition of his image. The rain would help to clean his coat, along with time. He wished that he looked like he did in his dream. Underneath all the dirt, he was still handsome.. right? He didn't suffer from low self esteem, that's for sure, and put the thought out of his mind for now. Food would come first.
For the life of him, he couldn't remember what there was to eat around these parts. He hadn't forgot what food was, but just where to get it. What kind of foods did he like? He was sure that he would like what she did."What do you like to eat Chu'mana?" He said her name with a questioning end, he wanted to know and remember everything about her.

Chu shook her head and giggled lightly again. "Then I guess I'll watch you like a hawk since you like it so much." Stretching her legs out, she shook her body as water started to collect on her coat. She didn't much like the rain, but it wasn't all that bad at the moment. After a few good shakes, she leaned over and tugged on his mane playfully. Giveing it a few good tugs before letting it go.
"Apples are pretty good, but eat too many and you get a stomach ache. Grass it nice, if you want something to just normally eat. The two leggers have some things that taste pretty good to..." Talking about food made her realize she herself was a bit hungry too. How odd.

"Hey!" he said as she tugged on his hair. He leaned in and nuzzled her at the top of her neck, right under her chin. He was trying to tickle her. He then stood up proud and rustled his hair about to taunt her to do it again. He loved the attention, every bit of it. He paused at the noise that emitted from his body.
His stomach growled, and seemed to make a funny noise towards the end. These were serious hunger pains. Wow did he want some food. "I could eat a soquili I'm so hungry! I don't mind what we eat, let's just eat." He could feel his mouth fill with water at the thought of food. He looked down at the ground and nipped at a small patch of grass by the lakes side. It wasn't nearly enough.

"Hey what?" She giggled as he nuzzled her under her chin. Before he pulled his head up, she nipped at his mane again, tugging it lightly before quickly letting it go.
Blinking, she looked at his stomach and let out a softer giggle. "Ok, I can see that you're stomach is protesting. There should be a field of some still edible grass nearby..." Giveing her tail a quick flick, she tapped it against his hinde quarters then started to walk towards where she believed the grass was. "It's not too far...I don't think."

He watched as she began to walk off. He caught a wiff of Chu's pungent, wet soquili smell. He flared his nostrils to inhale more of her smell. She smelt wonderful. He walked to her side and pulled in as close as he could without touching her. The fine hairs of his hide tickling as they grazed hers. Such a fine and simple touch, yet it still held power. He closed his eyes once and smiled while exhaling softly. He was in love. He was silent briefly, but then spoke in response to her.
"Alright, you lead the way then, I will follow you."

"Ok then..." She replied quickly. Bumping her hinde quarters against him lightly, she started to trot off ahead of him. Not too fast though, she wasn't sure if he'd be able to run at the moment. So she made sure she went at a pace in which he could keep up. Her tail gave a few quick flicks back and forth, the drops of rain hitting lightly against her body as she went. Not too long untill they were there. Atleast she hoped so.

His eyes widened slightly as she brushed against him. He watched as she trot ahead. He purposely stayed a trot behind, so he could watch... well, her legs and everything attached to them. He was almost in a trance as he followed her. Not watching where he was going, he was lucky to not trip. He shoke his head once and looked up towards her face. He pulled in a little closer, but didn't take the lead. He didn't know where they were going anyways.
