In my school, we are contemplating Guys and Dolls... and at a last resort, Wizard of Oz. We are stuck for what we can do, it sucks. We have a very limited male cast and we do not know about what our New Principal will say about anything with "overtones". With our last principal, we were lucky they even let us do Grease.

For our fall show we are either going to do Once Upon a Mattress or Violet and we are leaning towards Violet (it's a great musical ^^)

Next year the school I'm going to is doing A Midsummer Night's Dream, More Fun than Bowling, and Jesus Christ Superstar. I'm curious about More Fun. I've never heard of it, but it sounds interesting. Has anyone else heard of it/done it?

A Midsummer Night's Dream is one of the most fun plays I have ever been in. 3nodding I played Hermia. It's sooooo funny once you learn to think in Old English! And the way my director did the physical comedy was awesome!

My drama teachers won't tell us what show's we'll be doing until like a week before auditions. Most of the time they don't have the rights until then... but our director usually has an idea. Until then, rumors just spread, and last time they were true.

Does anyone else's school do this? Is it only ours? I find this odd.
