Resee hadn't expected him to make her pregnant, the thought hadn't even begun to cross her mind. She viewed him as a father and as nothing other than that. She loved him, but not in that certain way. But she was unaware to his thoughts of that, and so she didn't comment on it.
Nodding, she looked away from him and out over the lands. "Yes, a puppy. I don't know why, but I feel that I just want one... something that is of my own and that I can care for, love for." She sighed. "I think it would help to get my life back on track. It would give me something to do and to put effort into, something that could straighten me out a little." But Usu hadn't seemed so thrilled. He had gone on about the trouble of them and how much work they would be. Did that mean he thought she couldn't do it?
Refusing to think that he doubted her in any way, Res perked her ears and listened to him again.
"Yes, a male." She sighed. "But I don't know who could possibly help me. I don't know any other males, Usu. I guess I could go out and look for someone... but I really don't want to leave home right now. I'm very tired." She frowned. "Do you know anyone?" she asked him, tilting her head slightly.
Feeling as if her problems would never be solved, she closed her eyes and leaned against him, glad that she had him to be her father when her real one was gone. "Thanks, Usu," she whispered. "I just wish this could be simple.."

"A puppy. Something to care for, protect, love, and cherish. One would certainly would benefit you, you know...I've never had my own myself, I have wanted one but I could never tell your mother otherwise she would try to allow me to have my own. To be honest, I am very content watching other's grow up and and become adults. But I would not mind watching my own."
He said with a slight smile as she leaned against him. He did not mind the weight, he barely felt it, but he knew she was right beside him. It seemed like she really wanted this. Usu had to make sure she was happy again, he missed her old happy self. He was ready to jump up and run off to find a suitable mate for her. He shook his head and smiled.
"The only male that I know of is Belu..."
He paused. Beluwa was Zingatia's and Saa's pup, the only son. He was a devil if there was one, he knew it. The first time they met, he enjoyed inflicting him pain. Usu did not mind it much since he had faced much worse troubles, but his got annoying. Beluwa was not for her.
"Nevermind, I don't know of any males...."
"Life is not meant to be simple..."

Resee opened her eyes and blinked up at the male. She sympathized with him when he began talking about how he had always wanted puppies of his own but had never had any. All he had done was watch others' puppies grow up instead of his own. She couldn't imagine how heartbreaking that must have been for him.
"Why don't you have any puppies with mom?" she asked tentatively, not sure whether she should really be asking that or not. After all, it was their private life. Even though she was the daughter, she still had boundaries.
She forgot all about that, however, as Usu began mentioning a male that he knew of. Her ears perked as she waited for a name. Part of it came, but then he cut himself off and said nevermind. Frowning, she moved away from him slightly so that she could better look him in the face.
"Usu.. who is he? Belu? Come on, tell me! He can't be that bad. Besides, he doesn't have to be around all the time. I have you and mom and Ali to help me..."

"Well, the thing is, as much as I have been around pups and cared for them. I wonder if it would any different if they were my own flesh and blood...Your mother has already had a litter, I don't want her to have another because of me or have her feel obligated to bear me a litter. I will wait until we are both ready for it. Do you think she'd guilt me into it?"
Usu asked chuckling a bit when she began to move from him. Was it something he said? His eyes twisted into ones of concern and watched her. She asked him what was the name he was going to say. He let out a breath and looked back at her.
"Beluwa, Resee, his name is Beluwa. However, he is much too young and another thing is, he is nothing but trouble. Beluwa loved to inflict pain on me, though I did not mind it much, it still hurt some. He isn't right for you, there has to be another out there for you...And yes, you have us to help you."

Resee thought for a moment. He had a good point, about not wanting to pressure her mother into anything after she had already had a litter of puppies. Nodding, she looked down at the ground. It made perfect sense, but she still thought it would be nice to see Usu have kids of his own. If it would make him happy, then it would make her happy.
"Well... maybe you should just talk to her about it. Let her know what you want but let her know that you respect her and don't want to push her into anything against her will." It sounded like great advice, but she wasn't sure how wonderfully it would all work out.
"Beluwa..." she repeated, thinking deep for a moment. But then Usu told her that he wasn't right for her and that he was nothing but trouble. She couldn't tell if he really meant it or if he was just being a protective father. She figured it could have been a bit of both, but she couldn't be sure.
"Usu, I told you he doesn't have to stick around. He can just..." She let her sentence trailed off as she averted her eyes away from him. She shouldn't be pressing this, she knew. If he had his mind made up about this boy, then she probably wouldn't be able to change it.

Usu thought a bit.
"Maybe I should talk to Tajwar about it...but not just yet, maybe after you have your litter so we could focus on you rather both litters or too busy with our litter that we forget about yours. Though that'd never happen."
He looked down at his paw and got to his feet with a sigh. Beluwa...he was a good pup, just a tad bit agressive. Usu clung to the hope that he would calm down over time and simply act like his sisters then maybe he would approve of the tike being Resee's mate. Disregarding the age difference.
"If you want to speak to Beluwa, he's with his family I would suppose. I know he doesn't have to, but what if he does? Enough of this for now. Lets go home, we can talk about it on the way. I bet your mother is worried sick about you right now....If you do then I promise I'll talk to your mother about considering a litter with me. Okay?"
he asked turning his back to her with his tail motioning to her.

Resee's tail waggled a little as the male seemed to consider her advice. She hadn't known it had sounded so good. She wished it would work out just as well on her mother. She didn't know how Tajwar felt about having another litter, but it probably would be an uncomfortable subject with Usu if he had held back for this long already.
"I can talk to mom too, if you want. I don't know how much I can do, but I can at least try." After all, Usu was like her father. He was close to her and she felt that she was obligated to do all she could to help him out.
Rising to her paws, she stretched out her forelegs the stood looking at him. He appeared uneasy about possibly letting Beluwa become her mate, and it struck her curiousity. Now she wanted to meet this male and to see what he was really like. She wanted to know the reason to why Usu was so hesitant about him.
"Well, I'd certainly like to talk to him," she spoke truthfully. "But if you really don't approve, I could always find someone else."
As he spoke of how they should head back home, she nodded and made herself forget about it all for now. It was starting to get late, and she knew that they should rest. Besides, it wasn't like she had to figure this all out tonight.
Stretching out her forelegs once more, she quickly followed after the male. "Thanks for listening, Usu," she whispered, as they headed, side-by-side, back home.
