I'd much rather be a zombie than an alien, but neither of those options are particularly appealing to me. Just let me remain human.
However, despite my refusal to join the Zurg, I am still interested in obtaining some alien tech for study and research. If any of our agents have spare probes and goggles awaiting processing and storage...

I stayed human the whole time. I didn't even make an alien mule.

I feel very conflicted about this. On the one hand, I see no harm in having alien agents, or in my agents getting their fair share of event items.
On the other hand, because of the nature of the event, humans and aliens were pitted against eachother; you couldn't really BE an alien and fight on the side of humanity.
I personally solved this dillema by turning one of my mules into an alien and finding some friendly humans that didn't mind being probed.
I guess in the end, it all determined how seriously you were willing to take the event.
And that's not something I can control.

Now that the event is over, would it be a problem if we wanted to switch skins?

I wont ever change to become an alien (though yeah my mule did ^^ยบ but I stay true to GIB)
also since I swore to protect the civilians I always tryed my best to ONLY zap the NPC aliens and not the civilians ... I belive they are just being used and not being themselves ...

I did become an alien....but not when the zappy fest was going on! I only changed for a minuet and then immediatly changed back into a human. Since then I remained true to GIB and never went alien again.

Aveykin I'll admit it, I changed. various reasons, I posted only in the GIB thread as an alien so people could rack up their counts, and could get my items. My computer can't handle switching back and forth from accounts, and I only have a limited amount of time to do the event. If my sensabilities offended anyone then I apologise. You shouldn't have to apologize. I mean, you were only helping out those who needed to zap aliens while getting the remaining two items yourself. I stayed human throughout the event, but I can't say the same for my mule... though, to her credit, she never probed anyone; I just wanted the Zurg skin. On the upside, I have several cowbells now. Mooooo~! biggrin

I think the fact that we all had fun, and got along so well is the main point we should look at.
Realistically, GIB can do nothing to actually protect anyone, save rping. Yet during an event, there were tons of non-GIB people in the thread, and there was very little strife this year.
You guys, no matter what you were, helped make this an enjoyable event, not only for your fellow GIB members, but for other Gaians as well. It wasn't until much later that some issues arose with "cow poaching" but I didn't notice a single one of our people doing it. So good job keeping the peace guys XD

I never converted to alien. I stayed true and zapped all hostiles who wouldn't accept my peace offerings.

Hehehe Speaking of ashamed look at what I found in A.I.D.S. Quote: GIB has placed a spy in your guild! The spy is SPRAK! Then they go on about fliping a coin to see if he stays or leaves. Had to share.

Aliens and humans aren't at war. Haven't you read the latest comic? Did the probing and zapping harm you in any way physically? I think not. Plus, there's nothing wrong with alien agents. We even have an NPC alien as an ambassador.
You just seem anti-alien to me, and probably should have joined one of the guilds who were against the aliens.

I think it's okay.
It seems like besides this zap-probe thing, the humans and aliens are co-existing peacefully as rival soft drink sellers. This is a once-in-a-life-time event, knowing these admins, so we should probe and zap and tip while we can. ^^
However, I remained human. -___- Simply because I didn't like how the alien skin looked. sweatdrop

I'm sorry that you felt that way. However, I do not believe that anyone was trying to be against GiB in anyway. We all did our job and did our best to fight as they did with us. GiB is not against aliens, we just don't want to be eaten. Therefore, being an alien (to me at least) is okay. However if the transformation wasn't willing, then there would be a different story behind it.
