Chao laughed and grinned, "awesome, cookies are by far the finest of celebration foods, save perhaps a really good pudding..." giving her head a shake before her mind wandered away into the land of home made pudding she grabbed a bowl and began to search for a cookie sheet.
"Do you have a recipe? I've never been able to memorize one so I fear I may simply need to be ordered about like a kitchen minion."

Jizzy swmiled broadly. This was the time to flaunt her wierdness even more. She reached int her bag, watching out for her jars and pulled out a large notebook.
"Meet Jizzy's HANDY DANDY NOTEBOOK!"
She said, pointing to her book. She cracked it open, licking her thumb and flipping through the pages, stopping on cue.
"Here!"
She said, pointing to a recipe for Chocolate Chip cookies.

Chao jumped slightly at the sudden yell, accidently ramming her knee into a nearby counter and letting out a muffled yelp of pain.
Rubbing at her now sore knee she looked up and cocked her head, "Handy Dandy Notebook, huh?" Wasn't that copyrighted to some kids show or another? Er, well, probably best not to ask.
She walked over, limping slightly, though the pain was fading, Chao had a horrible habit of running into things so it was fairly easy to ignore. Peering at where Jizzy was pointing she ran her eyes over the recipe then nodded and grinned, "let's get started then, all this talk of cookies is making my stomach growl."

Jizzy spread the ingredients onto the countertop, and beagn her search for a bowl to mix in.
"Yup, My handy Dandy Notebook. My younger sister used to watch this kid show with it and since I carry it everywhere, she called it that. The name kinda stuck."
She said, her eyes glinting as she found the bowl. SHe brought it to the table and becan mixing the flour and eggs and stuff. SHe hummed a random tune as she mixed.
"I love baking. I hope my Aerandir will like my cooking.."

Pulling up a chair Chao nodded and leant against her clasped hands, "ahhh, I thought it came from some kids show. My brother and I didn't really have too much TV exposure when we were little, our parents were very much the 'go play outside' type."
She let out a small yawn, "mmm, me too. And I bet they'll love it! Er, if Aerandir like that sort of thing I mean." She blinked and looked up at the ceiling, idly wondering if gryphons liked pudding before shaking her head and looking back to Jizzy, "are you expecting a boy or a girl?"

Jizzy continued to stir, regularly adding the other ingredients, barely even glancing at the recipe.
"I'm expecting a boy, decided to name him Tobias once he gets here.. I was sso glad, I had been hoping for a boy, even though all my house is full of girls."
She said, chuckling and beginging to add the chocolate chips. She put in almost a double of the written amount though.

[ooc: hope I'm not interrupting ^^; Ignore me if I am.]
Abbey walked into the lodge, humming a tune under her breath. She'd left her jars at home, and had come to pick up some food. And maybe a larger jar for False, her soon-to-be Aerandir. Glancing around the common area, she sighed at the supposedly empty building. She had dropped in a couple of times before to no avail. Perhaps she'd have to take socialising into her own hands.
However, as the girl approached the kitchen, she detected voices drifting out the door, and the distinct smell of food. Abbey's face lit up, and she peered in. Indeed, there were two people, apparently making some kind of food. Absinthe recognised them from the docks the other day. She hesitated, then tried meekly, "Hello?"

((-perches on Abbey- mmm, more rpers :3 ))
Reaching over she snagged some of the dough and popped it into her mouth, chewing happily, "mmmm, very tasty."
"Mmm, Tobias, sounds nice," she lent against the back of the chair, "I'm expecting a girl, her name's going to be Sanar when she arrives. I think it'll be nice, having another girl, though I would've been happy either way. I still find it amazing that the artifacts are going to combine and turn into a new being," she made a slight face, "though with kids coming out of books and gems and whatnot this really shouldn't surprise me."
As Abbey walked in Chao turned and waved a hand in greeting, "hello there."

Jizzy gave Chao a light tap on the hand with the back on the sppon. A false scowl on her face.
"No eating the dough!"
She exclaimed, moving the bowl away and continued to stir, laughing. She lifted her hand in greeting though.
"Heylo. The cookies are about to go in the oven. If you're willing to wait, you can have some."

Abbey smiled, "Chao and Jizzy, right? I remember you from the docks."
She strode over and peered at the counter, with the leftover ingredients. Abbey herself wasn't much of a cook, she usually just skittered around following orders, but she did know what tasted good. She chuckled, "Oh, I don't mind. Homemade cookies are always nice. I don't know how to cook very well."

"Yup. Chao and Jizzy. I love cooking. I do all the time. It's a shame I don't have a full kitchen over at the house, or I'd cook all the time."
She siad, finishing the dough and finding a tray. She began to dole out the circular cookies, smiling and , checke don the oven she'd turned on before. It was just right now. She popped the tray in and smiled.
"Now all we do is wait."
She said, looking at her clock to use as a reference for cook time.

Chao rubbed at her hand slightly but smiled all the same. She was a dough theif through and through.
At her name she nodded her head lightly, "mmmhmmm, and you're Abbey, right?" she looked over to Jizzy and smiled, "homemade cookies must be the baked goods equivilant of a magnet, people seem to be drawn to them. Espically when they're right out of the over," she smiled and looked to the clock as well, wiggling in her chair slightly.

Just for good measure, Abbey checked the clock as well, marking down the time in her head, before moving away from the counter to check the storage cupboard for future reference.
While she checked the food, ingredients and spices available, she chattered, "There's something about homemade cookies that seperates them from retail ones. I think the fun part would be actually baking them. Perhaps I should learn how to cook at some point."
Abbey straightened up from looking at the bottom shelf of the cupboard, and mused. After a brief pause, she continued from her previous topic, "I'm really more of a gardener. I brought some seeds and seedlings over to Ar'Idil, but I haven't gotten around to planting them yet. Pumpkin, sweet corn, tomato, a couple of flowers... I might need some help, actually. Oh, I got some strawberry bushes planted out the front of my house though."
Perhaps at some point, she should ask whether she could have some extra seedlings brought in. And some fertiliser.

"I'm a terrible gardener.. I tried planting some flowers in my front yard and I got nothing.. Its like they die at my touch."
She said, joking around. The clokcs minutes ticked by and the warming scent of chocolate filled the Lodge. Jizzy took a deep breath and smiled. How she loved chocolate. She gance at the clock and got up, moving to the oven. She opened the gas oven and smiled, taking a towel overher hands and pulling out the tray.
"And now they are ready!"
She said, getting a plate and placing the cookies on it and bringing it to the table.
"Dig in!"

"I'm making a valient attempt to garden here, fresh herbs would really be nice, don't know if they'll pull through..." she muses aloud, staring at the ceiling for a moment before sliding her attention back towards the oven.
As the cookies were pulled out a wide grin spread over her face and she yet out a small cheer. After blowing on one of the cookies gently she picked it up and gingerly bit into it, chewing happily when her tounge wasn't burned.
"Mmm, these taste awesome Jizzy," she says after swallowing, licking the remaining chocolate away before taking another bite.
