heres one... so you are in a room... and its nothing but bare walls, ceiling, floors and you.
aside from those things and air and all the rest... whats in the room? nothing.
but say, you think about a desk... the desk isnt physical, but, does the idea of a desk mean that there is a desk in the room?

Eysce This is fun~~ Everything is nothing is everything. That pretty much sums it up. There's just no such thing as nothing. Because the nothing beyond the everything is another everything with it's own nothings. Kind of like the puzzle I entertain myself with ... it's kind of relevant ... Q. What is the one thing that someone who knows everything doesn't know? A. Nothing. Nothing is what the person doesn't know. But if the person doesn't know this "nothing" than they don't know everything! It's a direct connection. 3nodding So very confusing. neutral You had to throw a brain teaser in here, huh? xp

That's very interesting ... ... but I guess it's kind of true in a weird way! If someone who knows nothing is a part of everything knowing nothing, because they know nothing of everything which simply can't exist, the connection states that they know everything! I'm doubly confused now! XD

Wouldn't nothing have to be something? 'cause even though it says nothing, nothing would still be a thing. Does that make sense? I don't think it could be everything though.

Don't worry, nothing on this board makes much sense. And everything seems to be confusing.

It sounds like your talking about univeral unity.
It's a theory that has been proposed for ages now, stating that everything is linked in some manner, so where you have nothing you would actually have links between other matter and energy yes?
so... everything=everything Nothing=the link between everything.

Althera I've had a weird thought about 'nothing'. Simply by naming an absence of something 'nothing', aren't we defining nothing as something? ...yes
