Hello i'm new to the guild. I have just recieved the invitation not very long ago. I also need some random advice.

Well, basically..
I do show choir. At our school, the arts is very popular..
Being creative is being popular. I absolutley love the arts; however, I have some idiots to deal with. When I sing, I usually don't carry any expression on my face, so they constantly bully me about that. Recently [yesterday], I went from having 2.5-3 inches of hair to having a "Shark" Faux hawk with a max of 1-1.5 inches on my head. The shark is just a name because the hawk continues all the way in the back.

So, here's my question..
How do I deal with them? I also want to act mature because that's basically how I am..
It's a highschool..some people just don't grow up. It's the real world now..

So, how do I deal with them?
This is more so a discussion thread, but I'll leave it here until it gets adequate response.

I also wouldnt call highschool the real world, the ones who grow up in highschool pretty much suffer, I know.

Honestly, it depends on how they are bugging you, are these other choir kids? Tell them to bugger off [******** off, whatever].

If they are really picking on you and making the some other kids turn against you I severely suggest sticking it to them, to do this the next time they give you a hard time [when no teachers or snitchs are around], make a crack at one of them or tell them to go suck on there mothers c**t, this is how the 'real' world deals with issues, they put them out in the open and they solve them.. whenever a person has no direct connection with another [like they arent an employee of the one being a bully or they dont have to worry about control from the person they are being bullied by], they stand up to the person.. unless the person could squash them like a bug or has a weapon xp Anyway, the point is just call them out on it, chances are, they will back down, then you can just keep calling them out.

If they actually have a backbone then you may begin a fight, if this happens.. fight, I dont know how weak or strong you are or how weak or strong they are, but I do know that the one with the will and the focused anger has a large advantage, thats Irish blood talking.

For instance, in 9th grade I accidently hit an 11th grader in the face with my trench coat while trying to get something off the wall [a sticky thing], anyways I hit him when he was behind me so he grabbed my arms and threw me against the wall [I didnt know he was there even after I hit them], from then on I was pissed, then when I went to go punch him some friend of his who was further down the hall ran up to me and grabbed my arms, so I jumped up and kicked the guy in the chest while his friend held my arms, after that they both ran away, one of them grabbed my trench coat and threw it in the trash; but what mattered was that I won the fight, or I didnt lose. [btw, these 11th graders were the biggest assholes in our school, part of the 'all-star' baseball team, one of them got a million dollar signing in the MLB last year after our school went the entire year without a single loss, Jackson Highschool from Washington].

Anyway, the big picture is, if you let people bully you around without taking any action to stop it [I dont suggest tattling on them, will only escalate there bullying], then you will live your hole life being able to be controlled by others- if I were you I wouldnt let that happen.

Also, if you dont have much strength, use tactics.. brains are better than brawns.

Wow, and how many days of ISS have u acumilated Blood? >< Just put geckos in their lockers, it works everytime. Its weird how the "manly-men" can't stand a gecko or two. Esp. when their tails come off and start wiggling around.....
Sorry, ISS? I am lost on what that means.

@sorpano:: I dont think ignoring a bully is going to do someone good in the long run, well actually it could work, it depends on how you ignore them, but if you just let them bully and if they get results out of you or out of the audience then they are getting what they want and you are only perpetuating the issue, if you ignore them when no one is around and make them confused then good, they arent getting a result and therefore will give up soon.

@Jap Rock:: Yeah I myself was gothic for a small amount of time, it did give people a small fear for me [added] some kids actually thought I carried automatic weapons in my trenchcoat, I think they watch a bit to much Matrix =P [stopped being gothic when I realized most gothics are stupid and incoherent and I dont want to be viewed as those things, I can still listen to my music without having to wear the clothing that goes with it or wear my favorite color.. black, even if you dont think its a color I think it is.. its the most emotional color of them all =D] I dont go to church, havent since I was 8 but yeah, if there is people picking on you then show them that your little voodoo fashion isnt just a show and that there is some bang in there to... note: dont take this as a tip to go buy a gun and shoot a person =P

@Stronghearted::

Yeah or you could just act like a retard, no one is willing to beat up a retard, I mean thats just harsh, you'd be a sadistic neo-hitler if you did that razz I saw a guy act like a retard in a movie and both the guys just walked away.

In School Suspension. Its like a alternitive to being suspended, but its a joke because you basically do all you work at your own pace, and the when your done you help deliver things (notes etc.). The only downside of it is that you have to write an essay (one page for every day you got in it) on why what you did was wrong and how sorry you are. In other words: the smart persons dream school.

Well I have a little story. Whenever I lived in Australia I had gotten in trouble for harassment because I threw oranges at these girls, and they did the same stuff except me and my friends all got suspension. My two friends got in-school suspension while I got out-of-school suspension. I felt bad for my friends because they had to go to school still while I stayed at home sleeping in for the 2 weeks I got suspended.

It's just funny how schools think suspension is bad when it really isn't bad for the student, it's very lenient. The only bad thing about suspension is when you get suspended more than once you're then able to be expelled from school easier.

NOTE: I was very bad when I lived in Australia, but I have cleaned up a lot since then. biggrin

I hate how sometimes you know what you did is right, and you have to make up s**t, on some stupid "Sorry Letter" saying you're sorry for what you did and it was wrong. It just pisses me off. And when the "Bad Boys" do something bad, teachers just ignore all the time, when we normal people do something bad once, we get screwed right away.

What ever you do, don't resort to violence. At your age, it could get you expelled or worse, in prison. YOu should just ignore it or try to work it out with them.

I think I speak for most of us when I say: As much as all of us would like things to work out that way, it doesn't.

Life isn't based on bullying assemblies. If you ignore them, they don't stop, they do it more. If you try to talk to them, they make fun of you. I'm not guessing here. Im saying all of this out of first-hand experience. I know how it feels to be made fun of. You have to either toughen up and learn to defend yourself, or beat them at their own game. Now whenever someone tries to all "big and bad" by making me look "small and good", I don't take it. I just shut them up. Normally by just dissing them back. Only a couple of times have I resorted to violence; but that was when they tried to hit me. I never throw the first punch =P, unless I'm really pissed off sweatdrop .

It's because the bad kids are already bad, and they're never going to change; But when good kids start causing trouble the world gets turned upside down, and the school doesn't want the good kids to turn bad.

theres really no way to say what to do if you don't give us a precise situation... tattling is good... *somtimes* beating them down is great *sometimes and etc...

depends on WHO is bullying you? WHY they are doing that? ARE they challenged mentally? ARE they disturbed?

depending on you.. and your actions.. whatever you do depends on how much are you willing to go for. as in are you willing to go through social torture.. (tattling) are you willing to get in trouble with the administration for beating someone up, etc..

tattling CAN be sucessful... my friend did it.. he went just fine... noone hates him.. hehe... funny story too.. cause the previous day they all hated him.. now noone hates him.
i don't really recommend it though.. because... you have to know how to do it... confused

In that case yes; but I said: "Bad Boy......ingore all the time......normal people......once". I meant when we do something just for once, or out of anger, etc. We get screwed right away.

That's the ironic thing about life. You do bad things, no one will catch you. The moment you say sorry, you're screwed.

Exactly, its stupid. I got called into the dean's office because a bad kid reported me for spreading rumours about someone (the rumor never started in the first place, the guy was trying to get back at me cause I told a friend that I wouldnt talk to her if she went out with him cause he gets in trouble all the time, basically a really complicated sitiuation) but when I proved my inosence, I got in trouble for cause the dean hassle, but the kid who reported me didn't get in trouble at all for trying to fasley accuse me. So the bad kid got of free, and I got a weeks worth of detentions.

The Fifth Admendment, in short, you don't have to answer any question that admits you did the crime, and you don't have to admit to the crime.
