Kemuri looked beyond Shayna and saw the cute little girl he had met before.
"hi Guinevere. nice to see you again. i see you've brought your cat. you are so adoribly evil in your witch outfit" he said with a grin on his face. Lily greeted Kotatsu and Guinevere but not ignoring the teenage girl dressed as a ninja.
"would you like some candy Guinevere?" Lily asked the little girl as she pushed the bowl of treats towards the space in front of Kemuri.

Shayna's wings fluttered nervously at the boys attention and her face turned bright red. Lily's actions saved her from making a complete fool of herself. She laughed "Yes, she's right. I know where you live now...I'll have to come and visit."
Seeing Kemuri's eyes shift she turned to follow his gaze. She had to fight laughter again at the sight of the little girl and her 'cat'. Kemuri and Lily both seemed to know her, obviously as they had called her by name. Shay smiled at the new arrival in a friendly way. "Hello!"

Guinevere shook her head. "Pucci's not MY cat, he's Kotatsu's cat. He's just part of my costume right now." Pucci glared at all the people looking at him, as if to assert that he would never willingly be Guinevere's cat. "Candy please!" she said, remembering the manners Kotatsu had taught her. "She then dropped Kemuri a curtsy. "Thank you! You're looking very magical yourself!" she said, looking at the unicorn costume. However, when she saw Shayna, she bcame quiet. She was nervous around strangers, especially older ones. And this girl looked very worldly-wise, making her feel rather small. "Hello." she said quietly, then scooted over behind Lily, dragging Pucci along. The cat seemed to be resigned to his fate as an accessory by now.

"thanks guin..." he said nervously. because why would a male adult wear a unicorn costume?
"oh Guinevere. there's no need to be afraid. or so we think." Lily said as she lifted the young girl onto her lap. Guin sat up to about Lily's shoulders, maybe taller or shorter. Lily patted Guin on the Head lightly with a smile and a giggle.
Kemuri opened his arms to gesture Guin to come sit on his lap instead of bothering Lily when Lily was clearly talking to Shayna after Kemuri flirted with her.

Guinevere went over to Kemuri to sit on his lap willingy, obviously more comfortable around him than anyone else around here. He was someone else who reminded her of Aaron, and was therefore high in her regard. "That girl's pretty. Are you going to kiss her? Is she your damsel in distress? I could turn her into a toad or fly her up into a high tower so you could save her!" offered the wannabe-witchy girl. She picked up Pucci and put him in her lap. The cat Glared at her but settled down. Guinevere was markedly more friendly to people she knew.

Kemuri blushed in giggles as the little witchling. "not unless i kiss you first" he said with a giggle. it sounded like a half joke and yet, half for real. Kemuri handed her a candy from the bowl, which was wrapped in orange and black paper. this one was different than the first two though. this one had a smileing face.
Lily smiled as Guin moved over to Kemuri. She looked back at Shay with a heartwarming smile.

Guinevere giggled. "You wouldn't do that though, because the hero isn't SUPPOSED to kiss the wicked witch!" she pointed out. Taking the candy from Kemuri, she said "Thank you!" and put it in one of the dress's pockets for later. "Oh! I went to a candle store since the last time you saw me." said the girl excitedly. "You should have seen all the mystical looking candles, it almost looked like a magic store!" She grinned. "You would have liked it, there were some just as black as your wings. Just as black as Pucci is supposed to look like!" She sighed and looked at Pucci as if he had failed her by not being a black cat. "But maybe I'll use hair dye and see if it works." Pucci cringed and narrowed his eyes.

"that's nice Guin. but you're not a wicked witch, you're a little wicked witchling. and i don't think you should dye cat's..." he said with a smile. he put hisface against her face. "i'm sure they were very mystical at the candle shop." he added as he moved so she faced him. he smiled at the dark haired girl.
Lily smiled at the friendship the two had.

Guinevere didn't like being called a witchling but supposed she WAS little, not as big as Kemuri anyway. "Oh, but Pucci would love black fur! And you can dye people. Kotatsu said so." Guinevere reasoned. "But I guess I won't if you're sure..." When Kemuri faced her, she smiled back at him. "Are you going to put your mask back on?" she asked, wanting to see the whole unicorn costume on the older Herald.
Kotatsu also watched, but with mixed feelings. She was glad Guinevere was making friends but wished the stubborn girl would make friends her own age. Who hadn't been previously accused of kidnapping. You know, people like that. She knew she should let it go and be glad Guinevere had any friends at all. After all, Kotatsu herself had been kidnapped by a friend once and had then spent an amusing few years living with him and Pucci until one day he left for the Deli and never came home. She wasn't one to judge.

"i don't have a mask. i have a hood with a horn and unicorn ears." he said as he pulled it over his head. he giggled as the girl thought he had a mask. he grinned at the little girl happily showing his teeth a little. the night was still young as the sun had still not gone down completely. the sunset was beautiful against Guin and Shay's hair.

Guinevere laughed delightedly. "That's cute!" she said and patted the top of his hood gently. It was odd to see Kemuri in a unicorn outfit, but even odder when the hood was on. Even Pucci's eyes traveled lazily upward to see what was making the witchy child laugh. He sneezed at Kemuri and then shut his eyes again at the sight. Guinevere, however, seemed delighted. She blinked and said "There should be music out here so we can dance. Someone should bring a radio or something." in a thoughtful voice. "I wonder if Kotatsu has one...?"

Kemuri smiled at the soft patting of the head from the cute withling, Guin. "we don't have a music player. Lily's parents say it's expensive and we should save money for Lily's education. so we don't got one." Kemuri said to her comment about music and dancing. Kemuri wanted to dance with Shayna but then, Guin would feel alone.

Guinevere was thinking Kemuri should dance with Shayna too. Hopping to the ground, she ran over to Kotatsu. "Get our radio." she demanded in the completely shameless manner she used when she talked to the guardian. She had left Pucci in Kemuri's lap and Pucci rolled over, snoring while Guinevere wasn't there to wake him up. Guinevere ran back to Kemuri presently. "Kotatsu's getting our battery-powered radio." she informed him. "Then we'll have music."

Shayna watched the two Heralds interacting with a whistful smile. She suddenly missed Taka. She giggled at their chatter about witches and damsels and turned to Lily. "You are going to school then?" she asked in reference to Kemuri's comment about saving up

Kemuri playfulls rubed the cat's stomach as it slept on his legs. he looked up at Guin to hear her reply. "oh. it's alright if your gurdian is troubled by it. it's not really important. just for pure enjoyment" he said. "would you care to dance fair maiden?" he asked with a wink. he REALLY wanted to dance with Shay, but Guin probably wante to dance more.
