Nodding, Raine smiled further and just followed, happy with being led to someplace that was familiar with her guide. Now the others wouldn't be so mad, she was at least trying!
Altessa tilted her head at this, curious. No shame, no hinderance, no fear... it ticked her off, yet it impressed her.
She wanted to break that.
"Why you stare?" She hissed low enough so only they could hear, walking nearer to him now.

Raven navigated the crowd like a pro, sure to never lose any of the group, dodging crazed mothers in the holiday shopping spirit and moving along at a speed usually reserved for the guerrilla shoppers. They were almost there, they just had to get past a few more (hundred) people...
"Not... staring. Now," Jett added as an afterthought, not looking at the girl, since it seemed to upset her. Such an interesting girl, and such a different kind of person than anyone he'd met. It confused him and interested him in that strange way that only young children seemed to understand.

"Why you no fear? Everyone else does." Altessa continued, now drawing nearer and sticking her head near his face, eyes narrowing dangerously. Why, why, why, she wanted all these answers but they weren't coming fast enough!
"Whoah..." Raine murmured, keeping an eye on the kids, though had quite a bit of trouble manouvering around through the crowd. Being in the real world was nothing like she had expected, and she felt very overwhelmed by it all.

Fear. A strange word. Jett didn't quite understand it... what was 'fear'? Was that the sensation of needing to get away? But why would he try to get away from an interesting person? "...no fear... because..." But why? Because he didn't understand it? Not an okay answer. "...no need to fear." Simpler.
"And this way, this way, this way," Raven narrated in a sing-song whisper, her mind analyzing the crowd as they went through. Some called it insanity, some called it direction sense, Raven called it practice.

Altessa was about to remark something, but then held back. This one... was rather interesting. He thought before he spoke, and not many did that.
Intrigued now, Altessa calmed and walked beside him now, ignoring everything else. And then, she spoke softly, a hint of a smirk on her face.
"You may stare."
"Aaahhh," Raine called, head spinning from all the people as she followed as close she could. She could see it, where they were going! It seemed close, but... oh gosh, all the people!

The little boy smiled, glancing at Altessa with those deep, dark eyes. Such a strange girl... really and truly. But interesting. Green and angry and different all in one. Altessa. He would remember that name.
And now down to the final stretch... the last hundred feet or so. And only about a hundred people in between themselves and victory. Raven moved fast, ducking between shoppers, trying to keep an eye on their large-ish party. They were keeping up well...
"And here!" she grinned.

She seemed prideful at this now, though didn't say anything more at that. Altessa rather liked this... Jett. And her eyes wandered over him, as well, though she stared out of the corner of her eyes.
"So many people..." Raine murmured, doubling over as she tried to catch her breath. "It's so different in this world..." The woman glanced up, giving Raven a genuine smile. "Thank you very much. I will remember you and your generosity."

"No problem at all. Jett, come on-- we have our own shopping to attend to," Raven smiled. "Hey, if you ever need any other help, look me up sometime!" she suggested, passing Raine a business card.
Jett considered Altessa again before bowing slightly to her when Raven mentioned leaving.

Smiling, Raine took the card and glanced around herself before pocketing it in her vest pocket.
Altessa, surprisingly, bowed right back, earning a confused look from Raine as she stood back up, turning to accompany her keeper.
"What was that about?" Raine asked as soon as they were out of earshot, ruffling Altessa's hair affectionately.
"He earned my respect, as others have not." Was her simple reply, as she gave a smirk to Raine, a bit proud of what she had done. She was calming down nicely.

Raven tugged Jett along, off to do their own shopping. She'd remember this. Raine.
Jett remained silent the rest of the trip, just following Raven around, considering Altessa.
