I can't say anything about ghost's that has to do with experience; but I can say that I don't believe they exist. Aliens I belive in. All those other planets and galaxies can't just be out there for just for decoration. In a place as huge as the universe, the earth can't be the only place inhabited by living things.
Proof of aliens: Strange and evil places that teach you things (schools) exist don't they? Seriously, schools can not be a human creation mrgreen

It depends. Well, I think that the way society has portrayed ghosts and aliens makes our opinions on them very distorted. So..I don't know xD.

I don't remember the exact number, but it is MUCH more than 1,000,000galaxies in the KNOWN universe, and like 300,000 stars in each galaxy...roughly.
AND THESE NUMBERS ARE DEFINITELY WAY BELOW THE REAL ONE! FEEL FREE TO CORRECT ME IF YOU FIND THE CORRECT NU,MBER!
It seems ignorant and arrogant to say we are alone, though that's just my opinion.
Ghosts: I don't call them ghosts because they are simply people without bodies. I call them Thetans so there aren't any mystical confusions 3nodding . I believe that bodiless thetans exist because I live by a century old hotel which has many "ghosts" and when I was leaving the the locked off attic (use the fire exit xd ) I got that feeling like someone is right behind your neck! And I have no doubt of what I was percieving!
Anyways, there are other reasons, but I gtg!

The idea of ghosts existing and the connection in what happens after we die I find is a more psychological connection with a person's life. I have wondered for quite some time:"If one was to believe throughout their life that after they die, they floated in eternal darkness, or rather is placed in a identical spiritual realm, does it happen to them? I find that what happens after someone dies is entirely up to the person and what they believe. I do agree that this philosophy is verrry far-fetched, having the thought that some people might belive that when they die, the world around them will explode...but I find that this philosophy is a foundation to lead to something much more than just when someone dies. I find that this affects what happens in a person's life entirely. Connection to ghosts is in my thoughts that there are connections to the material (where we live now) realm and a more spiritual realm where all people go when they die; kind of like portals to another dimension but not a dimension.
I won't touch the "alien" topic just now, I wnat to try and see how the whole ghost thing works out.

Personally, I believe in ghosts. A while ago I was not sure what to think of them, but then my uncle told me something that had happened to him. My aunt and uncle film documenteries. They were doing to this one documentry on ghosts, so my uncle went to Savannah. (Just in case you don't know, Savannah is an old town that is known for having many ghosts from the civil war.) (Important note before I continue my little story: My uncle did not believe in ghosts.) Anyway, he checked into to this really old hotel where some of the workers had claimed to have had an experiance with ghosts. The room my uncle checked into was small, so small that he had to keep his filming equipment in the bathroom. (Another important note: He had to lean some of the cases against the shower door) So, once he had unpacked his stuff he went out for dinner. When he came back some of the filming cases had fallen over. Okay, not big deal, they probaly just fell over right? So he propes them back up and then leaves to go do something. (Sorry, I forgot what he had to go do!!! I'll try to ask him sometime...)(Hopefully the last important note: My uncle had MADE SURE to lock his door) Anyway, he comes back and not only had the equipment stuff fallen over, but they had been completely moved around. Some had even been moved into the bedroom on the opposite side of the bathroom doorway. (I think my uncle had also told me that his dresser drawers had been opened wide too...but he told me this a while ago and I'm not sure) After that he believed in ghosts. Now his wife, my aunt, has always believed in ghosts. She has even wanted to encounter one, but she never has. So I guess ghosts in Savannah like to show themselves to people to get them to understand that they are there. As for the question in the first post: Where do animals go when they die? I believe animals go to the same place that humans go. Humans are animals, a part of the animal kingdom, am I right? I have also heard stories of ghost dogs. ((Sorry, that was a really really long post! XP))

I've been told that ghosts are somehow just imprints of a person's personality into the environment around it. I'm not sure if it has some sort of scientific basis.. but I thought it was interesting.
As for Aliens.. I only believe in the microscopic and bacterial kind. The conditions that allow life to exist on this world are very specific, and even if the position of Jupiter or Mars was thrown off even a little bit.. we might not be here. I'm aware the universe is a vast, grand place... but everything has to be too exact.

First of all, aliens. In a universe of let's say.....100 billion galaxies, each of which contain about 20 billion stars? I'm not sure I have my numbers genearlly correct, but bear with me. Life on earth had some needed conditions to begin: distance from the sun providing 'just' that right amount of heat, materials for dna, and all that other stuff. Statistically speaking, that's at least one out of 20 billion. Now...all those other galaxies..
Ghosts: don't exist. What are they made of? Answer me that.. After death, your brain dies. Simple as that.

The ghost one is impossible to prove or disprove (don't use the "You lose a few grams after death" defense, that was proven to be wrong) because we have absolutely no information.
Aliens I think do exist though, we have found evidence that suggests there has been life on near by planets and many objects in space have the potential for life.

Daunter -Where do humans go after they die? -Where do animals go after they die? -Is there something besides the extremely adaptive brain? Okay, I have mixed views on this. Speaking from a logical "there-is-no-heaven" point of view, humans are just gone after they die. There is nothing after they die. Same for animals.
Although, I have read a book about ghosts once from this woman who says she can see and communicate with spirits. Some of it made a lot of sense to me.
And I doubt there is anything besides the "extremely adaptive brain". x3 (Logically speaking.... >_> wink Daunter -Don't we have a whole universe plus a few other dimensions to search? -We have not explored other galaxies yet, and it appears that many planets have had past forms of life. Maybe, younger planets are the ones that have life? We have a lot to search. x3 And maybe younger planets are the ones that have life. I dunno. I never thought about it much.
