Padding over to stand closer to the older feien, Galatea looked even more solemn. If Silva had looked closely, however, he would have noticed a flicker of warm pleasure at his agreement. She glanced back at the others for a moment as if to check their position. Then, quietly, she began, "I would be very grateful if you would be willing to look in on the Captain, um, that is, on Ms. Rabik while I'm gone. She has been having a difficult time and it would make me feel much better if I knew she were safe."
Clearly, the slight ridiculousness of eight-plus-inch Silva protecting nearly-six-foot Serafima did not strike Galatea.

He hesitated. From all Gala had said of her, the Captain was a first class, grade-A b***h. It was hard for him to imagine having someone like that for a bond, since Ice was a bit of a well-meaning airhead. But...
"I'll see what I can do, darlin. Don't worry, I'm sure things will be fine." He said, not quite lying, nor quite telling the truth.

"Oh, -thank- you." Relieved beyond reason, Galatea suddenly threw her arms around Silva's waist and hugged him tightly; it required a bit of jumping and fluttering due to the extreme height difference. She blushed as she released him. "Forgive me," she whispered. "She -is- doing better and she is showing interest in a new opportunity but..." At a loss to properly explain herself, Galatea shrugged, hands flopping loose at her sides. Then she smiled. "Between you and Hadrian, I won't worry at all."

"Hadrian?" He asked, letting a touch of surprise and irritation tint his voice. Great, just what he needed. A job with the flaming pain. "Oh, right... sure. Don't worry about it." He said, feeling a headache coming on. Maybe he should go back to sleep...

"I'll find you something on my quest. I promise." She was still smiling, almost angelic. "As a thank you present. Oh! If you take Soho, tell her not to worry. The Captain is far kinder than she wants people to know."

"We can go! We'll take care of the Captain lady and Marne, too!" Soho said, clapping her hands in an excited motion. "Mr. Silva Demon is good at taking care of people!"
Silva didn't laugh, although he was tempted to. That had sounded so wrong. He turned, looking at Dee. "Anything you want from me before you go, darlin?" Might as well get it over with now, after all.

"Take care of Marne," was all Dee said. "She needs takin' care of. I'm not exactly good family to her lately. - And keep her safe; though this is probably the safest place for her that I can be thinking of. And take care of Ruby, though I didn't expect you not to. I'll pay you back one day, Silva."
"I can't believe you're leee-eeaving," said Marne, and quite unexpectedly, she began to cry. All Burgundia could do was awkwardly pat her shoulder; and then she turned away.

Somewhat disturbed by Burgundia's coldness, Galatea gave Marne a quick, hesitant hug. "Do not worry, Miss Marne," she reassured the girl. "I'll take care of Miss Burgundia. We'll be home before you know it."
Then she stepped back and smiled at the others, waving. "I will miss you all. Please take care."

"Be careful, darlin." Silva drawled as Soho hugged both females and kissed them goodbye. "It's a big world out there."

"Yes, sir." Smiling lopsidedly, Galatea saluted Silva; it was rather adorable how lacking in sarcasm the motion was. "We'll return soon." Then, turning on her heel, she obediently took off after Burgundia.
It was going to be a long, long trip.
