maile_no_keki_chan GimpyTheGreat i personally think that the leader of akatsuki is most likely madara given the information that is out plus along the lines of yondaime topic. i think he is dead. to due the fact that during the extraction of the buji, the leader of akatsuki needed orochimaru around to speed up the extraction process. and i think oro would have most definitely notice that it was the former hokage, and with that why would he summon his casket during the fight with the 3rd. plus the leader has ginger hair, nuf said Dude, have you ever read a Shojo manga?
Their hair color changes every book!
One day, it's blue, the next it's blonde!
Lot's of manga-ka change the hair color of their characters in pictures like that.
And also, Uchiha's only have black or evry dark brown hair...
So, if you're saying that the Akatsuki leader has ginger hair, you're saying that the two most likely people to be the Akatsuki leader aren't.
Truthfuly, I don't think that any of the Akatsuki know of the leader's identity. If they did, they would've problably rubbed it into some Kohona nin's face and he would have reported it to the current Hokage.
Of course I seen manga covers, but when two or more hair colour is right, the others are too. If you seen Naruto with blonde hair and Sasuke with pink hair and Sakura with green hair, I understand that fact but the evident is right there! The leader's hair is ginger!
If they don't know the leader's face, how are they suppose to work with a man they can't even see? They must have least seen it twice or so. And why would the fourth go all this way to seal Kyuubi in Naruto, just to pull it out again? And making a new powerful ninja place? The fourth had it, back at Konoha...
Orochimaru never open the third casket is because the third stop it from arising. The use of the death god has been shown when the third used it and the death god will seal another soul for your own soul. The fourth's method has never been told but it is a wonder how he got it on Naruto. The third casket could have been someone else who is powerful in Konoha. The question is, who was the person who was sarcifice in that casket. It needs a living being to do so.
You people and your crack thoery... I'll believe it when Sasuke can learn how to beg... And I think I was too harsh again...

The Yondaime theory isnt all though, Akatsuki. Its about being his father as well. Because there are many of theories out there.
Ill declare it dead when I lock it. But for now on. I want all things retaining to King of the Akatsuki to be here. Whether its Madara, New, or Yondi.

Then dont. You've already stated and defended your oppinion quite nicely. Others have their oppinion on the king of the Akatsuki. Let them talk. The Yondaime Theory was stickied, they can read about it there.

DarkToLight You and me both, Gabriel. I would definatly freak if it turned out that the leader of the Akatsuki was just some dude. And thanks for the information about where I can find the Naruto stuff. It's amazing how much that website has. Anytime...I know what it's like not to able to find something...

two reasons why it cant be yondaime or whatever...
1: hes dead
2: hes the one who sealed kyuubi so it cant destroy anymore, plus he died protecting konoha. So why would he go to all the trouble to seal it and then come back to life (some how) and then want to use kyuubi to destroy things if he was in akatsuki? mrgreen I make no sense sometimes ninja

Dude, I had this arguement with some person when I saw a manga scan of Yondaime as the Akutsuki Leader...as realistic as it was, it was fake. Anyway Yondaime can't be Akutsuki's leader because:
1.Why would he make the most awesomest character ever, the most evilist?
2.It would make many fans dissapointed
3.He's dead.
4.Why would Kishimoto mention a "Uchiha Madara" if he wasn't gunna be in the manga.
Why He could be the leader:
1.Obito does resemble Tobi and he's dead so..>.>
2.Yondaime has the spikey hair
3.It would make us go "WOOOAHHH HOLLYY s**t!!"

I agree with some of your details, but I don't think the Yondy theory is necessarily a 'crack' theory. It is a big possibility that he could be the Aka leader... Plus, just because he's dead doesn't mean that there's no more history for him...
I've seen various series that had the main characters 'revived' and such. And I'd hate to bring up a forbidden topic, but Kishimoto said himself that some of the series has followed Akira's "Dragonball Z" series. And (being a former fan) I know for a fact that some characters in the show feigned death and actually appeared again. ^^
But back to my defense on the Yondy. This is exactly what Kishimoto is trying to make us do. I'm sure he'd be pleased to know for a fact that his series fans are actually stressing out over whether certain characters are in certain positions or not.
Also, just because Madara has been mentioned in the series doesn't mean that he absolutely 'has' to be the Akatsuki leader. We know that he's definitely going to show up sooner or later, but let's not try to narrow his position down until we learn more about him...

There is no way the Akatsuki leader is Yondaime; We saw the coffin and we saw what happens when you summon the death god plus why would Yondaime turn against his own people to conquer the world? It wouldn't make sense at all.
I think Uchiha Madara is the most logical choice, but it seems that he doesn't have the sharingan either though it was blurred.
We still don't know if the Akatsuki leader has red hair or not. The character in the backround of that cover could have easily been Sasori - who did in fact have that hair color.

Yondaime-hokage's body. When sacrifcing his soul to him Uchiha Madara who has had supposedly more evil chakra then Kyuubi, could have excaped and took over Yondaime-hokage's body...Amazing how fast my mind works. O.O
