Yup. electronic body music, as Soviet said.
unlike industrial; was meant to be played in small bars. Also meant to be dancy, whose artists seem to clone the sound of their influences, which is quite unoriginal. Suicide Commando started to make it big a couple years ago; then you get hundreds of clone bands that can't even pull the sound off right. Same thing happened with VNV Nation. Except that epidemic was even worse. Save for a few of the originals (FLA, Nitzer Ebb, Leaether Strip, Front 242); once you hear a few VNV Nation tracks, or SC tracks, you've heard just about EVERYTHING post-1998.
Honestly now. I find more variance in the trance scene (particularly goa and psychedelic. Not too fond of straight-up Paul Van Dyk/ATB cotton candy kandykid s**t). At least they fiddle around with new sounds instead of just trying to sound like every other act.

I had some Nitzer Ebb in my cd collection, but the lyrics were so poor that I sold the cd's.

and i deem your opinion invalid on the terms that the new album isn't even released yet. and so ******** what if it's not industrial? that doesn't mean they sold out. if you were going to jump on the sell out bandwagon you may as well have done it in the process era. or even the rabies era.

I can tell the ******** genre from 30 secs of each song. Still the Process is industrial enough for me. This latest one has no features in common with the original except for the convoluted lyrics(probably the only reason I'll be buying this).
Sure it's good as it's own, but I was waiting for abother Too Dark Park, and I fear I may naver have it.

well get the ******** over it, it's not going to happen. if you expect them to make another too dark park in this stage of their career, you're really just hanging onto the past.
you can maybe tell the style to a certain extent from 30-second soundclips, but judging the general quality of these songs on that is just plain ******** retarded.
also, what do you mean by "the original"? ...you lost me there.
