..- Journal Entry -.. "Coming Home" *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Colby had cried when he was woken up early in the morning, not having wanted to wake from his sleep. But Jason had somewhere to be and couldn't leave Colby in Rudyard's care. The little feien would more than likely ignore him. Thus why Colby had the pleasure of napping for the long car ride.
Where did they go? Well Colby hadn't the slightest clue as Jason lifted him from the car seat, Corpse following instinctively. The trio walked into a building where Jason met a woman. Colby was still groggy from the car ride and saw most of his hands during their conversation, rubbing away the sleep.
Though as he cleared his eyes, he'd come face to face with a sleeping baby. Cocking his head to the side curiously, he looked up at his father who just smiled down at the two of them and spoke. "Colby, this is your new sister. Shayla."
Colby only stared at the sleeping child, not sure of what his father spoke of. New sister? Pouting a bit he looked from Shayla to Jason a few times, not understanding why his daddy was holding another baby. Corpse gently nudged Colby with her nose, reassuring him that everything was alright.
The car ride home was silent, the girl sleeping and Colby never taking his eyes off her. At least Jason didn't have to deal with screaming babies.

..- Role Play -.. Ziya & Shayla
Thread : http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=6262247
LOG: midnight_medea Sat on a park bench in what was becoming Ziya's favourite spot Isra watched the city mums with facination. Dressed in their designer jeans and pushing their designer strollers. It was facinating.
Isra had travelled to the edge of the desert by camel and then caught a bus, Ziya in a sling on her back all the way. Smiling she stretched her aching back and watched Ziya with a smile as he played with the crayons and paper they had brought in the shops.
A stoller would definitely save her back. She thought as she continued to watch those around her. Maybe they did them with wheels that would work on sand. Ballentine A little girl was something definitely different for the unmarried father. Jason already had Colby for a few months now and then managed to acquire Shayla. He wasn't complaining so much, though a baby girl was not something he ever hoped for. Why? Well the man hated women, but something deep down inside just told him to tend to the little ice princess. Seemed to be a lot of those types of girls in his family at the moment...
But there he was, pushing the now double stroller along with the mothers of the area. Sure he may stick out as being a single father but hey, he was doing pretty good so far.
Stopping at a park bench across from Isra, he tugged the stroller to the side and sat down to relax. Colby was fast asleep in the warm sunshine though Shayla had been fussy the whole walk. It was understandable why, she was too warm.
"Oh pumpkin.." Jason muttered as he plucked the whiney baby from out of the stroller. "I'll get you home soon. I promise." He smiled down at the girl, doing his best to rock his arms and calm her down. His only response was a huffy groan and a pouty face.
Giving a small shake of his head, he grabbed a small cooler from inside the stroller and took out a partially melted ice cube. It was handed over to the baby girl and she quickly started to suckle and play with the melting cube. Jason just smiled a bit finding it rather cute before lifted his head and took a glance around. Seeing a woman across the way he just flashed a smile trying to be a bit polite. midnight_medea Isra watched the young man and the two children with a slight interest. Most of the parents in the park were mothers. She smiled, it was good to see a father doing some of the work for a change.
Not that she could really talk. This was the first time in a while she had taken Ziya out.
She returned the man's smile with a small nod and turned her eyes to the stroller. She wasn't the most sociable of people, but she really did want to know more about the labor saving devices that seemed to be so popular.
She gave a glance to Ziya. He didn't seem to understand what to do with the crayons she had brought him and had taken to simply bashing them on the paper, laughing at the marks they made.
Isra smirked and looked up to the man again.
"Excuse me." She asked, leaning forwards a little. "I don't mean to interrupt but where did you get your ... um, that." She asked pointing to the stoller. She wasn't entirely sure what they were called. Ballentine Jason's attention passed from the baby and back to the woman across the way, head inclining to the side as she spoke. What was what? His eyes followed to where she pointed and he frowned. The baby? Well that was a story not meant to be repeated anymore- or at least it just put salt in old wounds. Then again... she didn't mean the birds and the bees right? Oh gods he didn't want to tell that story AGAIN any time soon. Like hell Ballentine could do it, oh NO. Leave it to Jason to give the 'your body is changing and this is why' story.... At least there was a book for it now...
"I'm sorry..." Jason said, turning his head to once more look at the woman. "What is what? The baby? The little critter... stroller? Um... cooler? I don't really know what else is over there to answer your question." He frowned, reaching up to scratch at his cheek. "Ya gots a kid of your own so I really don't think you need 'the talk'..." He stated, actually making the air quotes with his fingers.
"So... can you be a little more specific?" He asked, shifting Shayla in his lap so she wasn't cutting the circulation off to his leg. "And that's a cute little boy you got over there. What's his name?" ..- To Be Continued -..

Winter is coming, or in some cases, already here, and with winter, Shayla has been acting a bit more energetic and at the same time, more fussy. Perhaps she wants to go visit the elements? Take Shayla somewhere or do something with her that will make her feel right at home and will get some of that boundless energy out of her so you can get some rest!

..- Quest Entry -.. "Winter Wonderland!" *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* The weather was finally changing for the winter season. Cold artic air brought Jack Frost down for the ride. That morning as the smaller De Marselle home awoke, Jason noticed that Jack had paid them a visit. The male stood at his bedroom window as he looked outside. Everything shimmered in the early morning sun as if it had been crystallized. Trees, plants, rocks, grass, even toys that were left out over night were covered in frost. This caused Jason to scowl a bit. He hated the cold! But someone else in the house awoke to the sight of frost on the window pane and gave a bubbly giggle. From her crib, Shayla was able to see her window. Upon the glass was a frost written message. The words of course went unread and unnoticed. She couldn't read nor understand what they said, but she knew one thing if any, that was frost on the window! Jason heard the small girl's giggling from the other room and a smile replaced that scowl. A small idea then came into his mind, making that smile grow even more. Yes, Shayla would enjoy this sort of weather. Turning away from the window he went to his closet to dress for the day, making sure to put on something that would keep him warm. After tying his hair back in the usual braid, the father went down the hall to his daughters room. The moment he pushed the door open, the message upon the window melted away, vanishing without a trace. "I see my little ice angle is awake." Jay purred as he strolled up to the girl in the crib. He was greeted with a little giggle. "How about you and I do something fun today, hm?" he asked, scooping her up into his arms and holding her gently. Of course he was answered with a few more giggles, knowing full well she wouldn't have protests. Wasn't like she could anyway! Dressing her for the day as well, Jason dropped her brother off at Grandma's before taking his little frost spirit someplace special. Sure the car ride had been rather long, and Shayla completely fussy during it, but it paid off in the end. The moment Jason took her out of her car seat and the cool air hit her face, she went silent in awe. Where did they go? Well to a winter wonderland. Usually the area was an open ski resort, but since the season had yet to start it was completely empty save for staff and a few locals. Either way Jason didn't come to ski but to allow his little girl to play in the available snow even this early in the year. "Alrighty Kiddo, shall we go play?" Jason grinned as he carried the star struck girl towards a nice clean area covered in snow. He set her down gently, chucking as she blended in quite well with her white goose down snow suit. Though as he pulled out his camera to snap those unforgettable moments, he vaguely wondered if the snow suit was really needed. She did prefer the cold after all... Oh well. After a moment of taking in her surroundings, Shalya began to play with the snow by fist full. Giggling non stop, the child was attempting to build a castle in the snow much like a child at the beach with sand. Clump after clump was tossed into a pile then little hands smoothed it out as best as they could. Of course to any adult it just looked like a mound of snow, but to Shayla it was a beautiful castle. Unable to resist, photo after photo was snapped of his child. Hey, if she turned out to be that untamable youth, he could always use these photos as blackmail. If it came to that of course! Jason couldn't help but chuckle at the idea of embarrassing the girl in the future by showing off baby pictures to her boyfriend. Oh yes, he was learning that parenting was quite fun indeed. Shayla was too preoccupied with building mounds of snow around her to realize her dad had started to get constructive. A good half hour passed and a rather small but simple igloo had been molded. Sure, it was only big enough for Shayla to crawl into, but it would do! Jason was the ever so attentive parent as he allowed Shyala to go in, sitting at the entrance to look in at her. "You look so cute in there pumpkin! It would make an awesome Christmas card image if your brother was in there with you." Jason stated, chuckling a bit. It really was adorable to look at the girl and see her eating handfuls of snow. At least the snow wasn't yellow! Feeling the cold finally sink it's way down into his bones, he decided it was time to call it a day. But how to get the girl out of the igloo without dragging her and or making it collapse atop of her. That was something he had not thought of before he began the little project. Stroking his chin in thought he stepped around the igloo carefully. Well.. It wouldn't really hurt her if it melted atop her right? What's a little water... Smirking a bit, Jason came to a stop behind the igloo and pressed his hands firmly into the cool snow. He called up those inner flames that had gone forgotten since he acquired the children. Those fires that, easily enough, ignited in his hands and began to melt through the ice. The screams and cries inside alerted him to the fat it was melting atop of her. 'I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" He called out, chuckling as he looked down through the top of the igloo. There was Shayla, covered in water and melted snow as she sobbed. Well... It was a bad idea and yet a good one. Once the hole was large enough he reached in and picked the little girl up and cradled her into his arms. "All done pumpkin.... Let's go home now ok?" Again, it wasn't like she could confirm or deny the suggestion. Easily enough he carried her away from the snowy area and towards the car. With luck it would be warm enough for her in no time. Though he'll have to keep an eye on her for the next few days, a child with a cold was a parents nightmare!

..- Journal Entry -.. "What do you mean, missing?!" *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* "You know... I wouldn't normally say anything... " Rudyard muttered as he looked down at the waking man, currently perched upon the headboard. "But I just love those kids." He paused, waiting for Jason to wake more before he continued. When the blue haired man looked up towards him, he knew he had Jason's full attention.
"The kids are gone" Blunt and to the point. "You wouldn't believe how much they went for on eBay." The feien's laugh was cut short by a glare from his caretaker. Snorting, he gave a small shrug of his shoulders. "Ok fine. I didn't sell them on eBay, but they are gone... Here." A grunt escaped him as he lifted up a sheet of paper, dropping it onto the male. "Shayla left that by the front door."
Jason snatched it, looking at the hand drawn squiggles in multicolored crayons. "Why didn't you wake me earlier! Rudyard! They could be in danger!" He shouted, throwing off the covers to rise to his feet.
"Well wouldn't you know it," the feien starts, staring at the older man as he dressed. "I tried waking you several times. But my size makes it rather difficult if you catch my drift."
"I swear, if something is wr-"
"Nothing is wrong with them. They've barely made it around the back yard. I've been keeping an eye on them. I'd say they only been out there a half hour."
"A Half hour?!" Jason spun, obviously not amused at how lightly the feien was taking this. "Don't you understand anything?! Colby is a little baby, and Shayla probably didn't put his winter coat on because she doesn't understand everyone feels cold!"
Rudyard just shrugged.
Irritated at the other, and not wanting to cause him bodily harm; Jason left the room. Immediately he headed downstairs, pausing at the front window to see if he could spot his children. There was minor relief in his eyes as he did in fact see them not far away, and Colby at least had a scarf around his neck. Though worry was still present as Colby was in fact under dressed for the winter weather. "Damn it..." He cursed under his breath, grabbing his coat to head out for them.
Meanwhile....
Shayla giggled as she glanced back at Colby. Her littler brother was contently gnawing upon the scar wrapped around him while trying to grab his toes. From his position, it was a futile effort. He's so dumb! She thought to herself, giving another tug of the sled.
"Ok wittle brodda. If you see da snow muncher you gotta tell me. K?" She stated, struggling to take another step in the snow. With her brother as dead weight there was no way she made any distance in the half hour of being unsupervised. "I wanna find dat snow mucher cause he's makin' all da pwetty snow go away." Little did she know the snow was melting due to Spring being right around the corner.
After several more attempts at making another step, she just threw her hands into the air and plopped down on the sled with Colby. "I dink he runed away... We can't find him no wheres."
Colby only stared at his sister in confusion, blinking as if it all made sense to him. After all, he was just a dumb baby. Though, his mood did a 180, giggling excitedly as something over Shayla's shoulder caught his eyes.
Getting excited as well, Shalya jumped to her feet expecting to see the snow muncher when she turned. But instead she saw her father and a small pit grew in her stomach. She was caught now, and Daddy didn't look happy as he walked towards them. "Hi daddy...." She muttered lightly when the man was close enough to hear, smiling nervously up at him. "Colby and I-"
"Hush." The word was stern, quieting Shalya down. She watched as Jason picked Colby up into his arms, tucking the boy under the coat he wore. "Inside Shayla. Play time is over. You had Colby out here with no shoes, nor jacket! He might have caught a cold Shayla, what were you thinking?"
The little girl only stared up at her father before tears welled into her eyes. Reaching up, she covered her face while balling. Her words were so jumbled that Jason shook his head. Maybe he shouldn't have yelled, but how would she learn other wise?
Reaching down, she was scooped up into his free arm. Good thing he had the muscles to hold the two of them. "Shayla... Calm down. I'm not mad."
"Mes oo are." Shayla mumbled, peeking at her father through her hands.
"I'm not." A smile was offered to the girl, trying to calm her tears. Colby only stared at her. "Now tell me what you were doing pumpkin."
Taking a moment to dry her eyes and sniffle her nose, she placed her head on Jason's shoulder as she spoke. "We was 'ookin for da snow muncher. He's makin' all da snow go away...."
Jason chuckled, "The snow is melting because winter is almost over. Spring is next. Remember the talk we had about months of the year?" He got a nod from Shayla. "There will be plenty of snow still, so don't worry so soon ok? We're supposed to get another snow storm tonight and tomorrow it'll be pretty and white again. But for now let's get you two inside, this way Colby can warm up." He didn't want to say he was worried about the baby, but it was present on his face. Good thing Shayla was too young to notice.
"I'm sowwy daddy..." Shayla muttered.
"It's fine. After lunch you and I can come play outside alright? But next time don't take Colby out with out me. He's still a baby and needs a grown up." Though he was glad to see that Corpse had stayed with the baby, even in the cold. He recalled the talk of the dreaded separation, not wanting to think what could have happened with only Shayla there.
At least he managed to get the two before something happened. This was definitely not a morning he wanted to wake up to again.

..- Journal Entry -.. "Colby's Cold..." *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Jason sighed as he looked down at his baby boy. After yesterdays romp outside in the snow with Shalya, Jason feared something like this. He was fine during the afternoon, but at some point during the night he had taken a turn for the worse. Cries and wailing woke the father from his sleep only to find a play baby with a little red nose. Tell tale signs the kid was sick.
That morning he called his mother who brought over a basket full of supplies. He was currently standing next to it as he held the thermometer to Colby's ear. As he waited for the beep he had time to take notice that Corpse too looked a little ill. Their bond must be strong... With the beep, Jason looked down to see a reading of 102.
"Yep..." Jason sighed as he glanced down at his son. "You're sick." Not like he really needed a number to tell him that.
Shayla was sitting on the chair besides them, sniffling a bit behind her hands. "I'm sowwy daddy! I didn't mean ta get him sick!" She cried, only causing Colby to whine and fuss.
"Sshhhh. Shayla. Don't cry." He stated, reaching out to pat the top of her head lightly. "Just go to the window and keep an eye out for Grandma, you'll be staying over there tonight so you don't get sick too." With a small nod, she did as told still upset she had gotten her brother sick.
As he waited, he glanced over at Corpse. Then to the basket. He thought a moment and then decided - what the hell. Snatching up a different thermometer he held it at mouth level to the Daemon. "Bite it and hold it under your tongue." He instructed. Sure he wasn't sure if she'd understand, or if it would even work... He wasn't a doctor. But it would look cute and be photographed with his always present digital camera.
Before she took it, she seemed to stare at Jason with a passive look. But as she sized him up, she reached out with her boney finger and bit down on it. Though the moment the flash went off the thermometer was spit out and she hid behind the basket. Bashful was cute.
But the moment was shattered when Shayla shouted that Grandma was coming. Happily she ran to the door, doing her best to open it for the woman. As Ballentine walked in, she looked down at Shayla and smiled. "Well hello there pumpkin, ready to come stay at my house tonight?" She asked, picking the girl up into her arms.
Shayla squealed happily, giving a nod. "Uh-huh! Let's go, let's go! Woo!"
Ballentine just laughed at the girls spark, tossing a bag over to Jason. "There's bath oils and some medicine in there. I'll come back tomorrow morning incase you need my help. But you've done this how many times now? You should be fine. Now say good night Daddy."
Shayla giggled and waved to Jason. "Good night Daddy!"
Jason smiled, nodding to his mother then approaching her. A gentle kiss was placed on Shayla's forehead. "Good night pumpkin. I'll see you tomorrow ok?" He received a small nod and a gentle hug before both girls were heading out. The good bye was short and sweet, Jason closing the door when Ballentine left with his little girl. Well now.... Back to the task at hand.
Picking up the boy, Jason headed upstairs for that bath.
It only took several minutes for the baby tub to fill, the soft scent of lavender wafting from the water as he added in the bath oils. Hopefully it would sooth the boy a little.
-----
Bath time only lasted 15 minutes. Nothing eventful happening, thankfully. Anymore drama and poor Jason would be in over his head. For now, he'd just concentrate on making Colby feel better!
Taking the boy downstairs, he retrieved his baby bottle. With milk he mixed in the medicine. It wasn't going to taste good and he doubted the boy would drink much with or without the medicine. Anything would help at this point.
With baby and bottle in hand, he plopped down upon the couch. "Well kiddo.... Time to eat. Please..." He sighed, putting the bottle to Colby's lips. There was a long moment of fussing where Colby wanted nothing to do with the bottle. But then there it was, with a little reassurance from Corpse the boy began to drink.
"Good boy..." Jason stated as he smiled down at Colby. It was going to be a long night, that was for sure. "Well... Might as well get comfortable." He mused out loud, shifting to recline with his feet upon the coffee table.
Corpse already made herself comfortable on the back of the couch, curled up to nap. Sleep was good for colds...
Several minutes passed and Colby began to fuss again, having eaten all that he wanted. His little tummy was far to upset to drink more than half. Well, it was good enough. Making sure to get a little burp from the boy, Jason settled him down to nap.
Quickly the television was turned on, but it wasn't look before Jason too was taking the time to nap. Sleep when the kid with the cold sleeps and you won't be tired when he's screaming his head off later. Or at least that was Jason's logic as he drifted off to dream land - it would only be a matter of time before he woke once more.

Shayla is getting older, stronger and more independant. While she may not be right, she's certainly gaining confidence in herself. And as she grows in confidence, something else is growing inside her too. What ability is starting to creep out, and how does Shayla react? Is she frightened? Is she scared? Or does she just think it's funny? (Please be aware that these abilities are very limited and not easily controlled. As a child they will be noticable, but not as extreme as they will be as she ages. Please also choose only one ability to focus on. She will have one main ability and up to three sub-abilities as she gets to teen and youth.)

..- Role Play -.. Ashe & Shayla - Adoption day at that ASPCA
Thread : http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=8124221
LOG: Ballentine Adoption day.
Shayla was practically tugging Jason's hand as she ran towards the large white building. It was the local Gaia ASPCA, taking in the stray animals and adopting out to loving families. Somehow, though he didn't know how it happened, Shayla had convinced him to get a pet. It couldn't hurt.... Right?
"Daaaaaaddy! HURRY!" Shayla grunted, able to see the doors to the building and yet they were so far from it! Why did he have to walk so slow?!
Jason only chuckled. "Shalya, there isn't a need to rush. There will be plenty of animals in side. Just no dogs."
Shayla grinned, already having her heart set on a kitten. Or maybe a bunny. A turtle could be neat.... NO! It has to be a kitten. Looking up at her father she just gave a nod. "Oooookie Daaaddy! No doggie. But I wants a cute kitty!"
Jason smiled. A cat he'd agree with.. They were much more independent thank a dog and wouldn't leave little piles of coiled joy in the back yard. His mother would surely kill him for that one. Finally inside the building, Jaosn released his hold on Shayla's hand.
Feeling the release, the small child shot off towards the large sign that read "Small Animals." Surely kittens would be in that room right? But she was rushing so fast she didn't even see the other girl she bumped into. Stumbling backwards, she fell upon her bottom and sniffled a bit. Renault "BUNNY BUNNY BUNNY BUNNY BUMMY BUM--...That's not right is it?" Ashe questioned as her voice started to become coarse from yelling '"BUNNY" ever since they left the house. Ruth decided that they wanted a pet, so she asked both Noah and Ashe. Noah wanted a super dog, but Ashe wanted a bunny, and her screams overuled all other possibilites. So they were on their way to the Gaia pet adoption agency, or ASPCA, to find a bunny. They chose one from the ASPCA since they would rather have a lost bunny than a found one! Well Ashe did at least. She thought that she could teach the lost one the ways of being royalty! When they reached the ASPCA, they both greeted the receptionist at the front desk, and started to walk towards the sign that read, "Small Animals. But on their way there, Ashe bumped into another girl. "OWIE!" Ashe exclaimed as she too fell to the ground. "What was that for?!" she yelled at the other girl. "Ashe! Are you okay?!" exclaimed Ruth. Her mom quickly helped her up and started to dust off her dress. "Sorry about that." she said to the father of the other little girl. Ballentine Hearing the girl, Shayla turned towards her. Her eyes all but narrowed when this girl accused her of being at fault. As if she had just done that on purpose! Her bum hurt too! Opening her mouth to say something, she was silenced before a word could be muttered by her father's hand. Jason stood over her, looking up at the mother and smiling. "Oh... It's quite alright.... Shayla here just is excited is all..." He explained, helping his girl up to her feet.
Wiggling free from his grasp, Shayla dusted off her shorts before fixing Ashe with a cold stare. "I'm here for a kitty. I'm gunna get the cutest and bestest one," she paused, noting the look from her father. It was that look that told her to drop the attitude quickly before she was punished. So, she forced a smile and continued, "What are you here for?" Renault Once the girl, Shayla, asked Ashe about what animal she was looking for, she immediately broke into a high pitched scream. She started to yell, "BUNNY!" all over the adoption center, disrupting most of the other visitors and animals. "I really want a bunny! BUT kitties are cute too! I would get one....BUT Noah, my older brother, unfortunately, is allergic so I'm stuck with a bunny! But those are just as cute! BUT why are you going to the small animals section when kitties are much, much, MUCH bigger?" Ballentine "A bunny..." Well those were cute to.. But a kitty. Yep, her heart was definatly set on a kitty. "And Noooooooo." She dragged out, turning to walk into the small animal room ahead of her father. "Kitties are small to. They have small doggies to, but doggies are much bigger than kitties. A tiger is a big kitty but Daddy said I can't have a tiger." She explained, throwing her hands in the air as if devastated by that fact. "Buuuuut. I'm gunna get me a kitty that's striped like a tiger. A mini tiger! It'll be so AWESOME!" She cheered, jumping a bit in her excitement. Renault "Tigers are scary....YOU SHOULD GET A PINK ONE! Is there such a thing?! I want a pinky bunny. Just like in cartoons! They're soooooo cute!" Ashe said, screaming at the idea. "Mommy! Can we find a PINK rabbit?! It would match so well with my room! And then I can put hearts on it too! And name it...PANCAKES! YAY! I LOOOVE PANCAKES!" "Whatever you want sweetie, but I think putting hearts on it is a little inhumane...especially to these poor little rabbits." Ruth said, trying to bring Ashe down as gently as she could. "OKAY...FINE..But can we go find a rabbit now? And a kitty too? For Shayla I mean!" Ruth gave Ashe a smile and a nod, and once she said 'Sure,' Ashe was off into the long corridor, bringing Shayla along. "Let's go bring animals home!" "Oh dear..." Ruth added, looking to Jason, "I think she would follow them." Ballentine Jason smiled as he watched their two kids. Yeah, Shayla surely was making a lot of friends lately. Though could this girl be considered a friend yet, that would be explained later. Giving a nod to the woman, he followed after the two of them.
Shayla just giggled a bit, "Cartoons are stooooopid! I dun watch those. N there are no pink bunnies! Does aren't real. Only Easter bunnies are pink." She stated, giving the other a little look before she smiled. This ones surely was weird.
"I wan-" she stopped, speaking and walking. It was abrupt and her eyes were on a room labeled 'cats.' Oh how she wanted to go in. But... Should they get the bunny first? She bit her lip in thought before looking at the other girl. Of course they couldn't keep bunnies and kitties in the same room. That was just ridiculous!
Staring at Ashe, the frost girl obviously looked as if she had an internal dilemma, because she did. Oh what to do. Renault "NOO cartoons are so real! I see purple whales and pink bunnies all the time! BUT if only Easter bunnies are pink, then I'll get a Easter bunny!" Ashe said proudly, nodding at her own personal statement, like she accomplshed something. When they finally reached the end of the corridor, they saw two other corridors. One on the left and one on the right. One door read 'Rabbits,' and the other 'Cats.' Which should they go in? It was a hard decision because they couldn't go in together! And Ashe really liked Shayla! "Hmm..." Ashe thought. "Let's look at the kitties first! That way, we can both look for the tiger kitty! Cuz four eyes are better than two!" Ashe took Shayla by the hand and led her into the cat door. Once again, Ruth and Jason were left to follow the youngsters. Ballentine "You can't have the Easter Bunny 'case then he wouldn't give da kids candy!" Huffing, she glanced between the doors again, putting her hands upon her hips.
But Shayla grinned a bit as the other girl said kitty first. Score! Now they had more time to find that most perfectest kitty! Quickly she grabbed Ashe's hand before bolting to the door. "Let's hurry then!"
Though....
The moment she got to the door, she realized she couldn't reach the handle. She waited until Jason came and opened it for them, allowing the three women in before he followed.
Shayla giggled and moved to the area with the kittens, glancing around a bit. "Now it's gotta be cute and have stripes. Like a tiger!" Renault "Then I'll have the Easter bunny's babies!" Ashe said as she was lead into the room. "Thankee Jason!" she said when Jason opened the door since the handle was too high. Ashe nodded at the details that Shayla gave to her and started to look into the cages saying, "Nope not that one," when she came across kittens that didn't fit the description that was given to her. "Hm...This is hard Shay-!" Ashe said, but she was immediately cut off when she saw the perfect kitten! It was cute AND had stripes! "LOOKIE HERE SHAY!" she exclaimed, pointing to the kitten and jumping up and down wildly. Ballentine She could hear Ashe off on the other side of the room turning down every cat. She was right, it was going lots faster with two people looking for the perfect kitten. Soon enough, she was echoing Ashe, "no... No... nope... Not good... nope." She finished the whole bottom row of cages and frowned in disappointment. Where was that perfect kitten?
Just before she was able to ask Ashe if she was having any luck, the other girl started to yell. Smiling brightly, she rushed over to take a peek inside. And, there it was. The most perfectest kitten right down to the T.
"AAAAW! It's PERFECT!" She screamed, startling not only the kitten inside the cage but other families inside the room. Doing a small happy jump, she turned and ran to latch onto her father's leg. "Daddy daddy daddy daddy, pleeeeeease! Can I get that one pleeeeease!" There really was no way the man could say no.
Grinning, Jason nodded and pat the top of Shayla's head. "Of course... Now why don't you go with your friend to find a bunny while I go take care of paper work? It is only fair after all since she helped you."
Nodding, Shayla bolted for Ashe once more and smiled big time. "let's go find youa bunny! It'll be the most perfectest bunny too! I'm gunna help!" Renault "IT IS CUTE!!! But it has no feet! Scary!" Ashe said, starting to cry a little, "It's so sad too!" But before she started to wail, Shayla sprinted out of the room and ran for the bunnies, calling Ashe to follow along, and there was no way that Ashe could refuse! "OKAY, my bunny NEEDS to be pink. Okay? Got that? It has to be cute...of course, with looongg floppy ears!" Ashe explained, just imagining the perfect bunny in her mind. It had to be exactly like Ashe wanted, or else she be the stubborn girl she is, and not choose one. They finally got to the room filled with rabbits, and Ashe could just smell the sweet aroma of rabbits! She ignored the other smell. "HMM..let's see! Any pink rabbits? Hmmm..." she said, scratching her head while peering through all the cages, both high and low. Ballentine Shayla helped of course, moving about near the other cages. Nope, those weren't bunnies... Nor those... She didn't know what some of these were. They looked like mice with no tails. Huffing, she went around and found a spot with bunnies but... no pink ones.
"Saaaaay." She looked over at Ashe and frowned. "I dun think dare are pink bunnies... But da white one over heres got pink eyes?" Well red eyes, but it was still cute and white and fluffy. Renault "HM, let me look at it!" said Ashe, walking to where Shayla was. "Hmmm..!" she said again, now inspecting it. "I THINK ITS POIFECT! It'll match well with the majority of my outfits..." she said, running to Ruth who just walked in. "Mommy! I want this rabbit!" Ashe said pointing to the one she wanted. "It's soooo CUTE!" she said squealing at the thought of cuddling it. "Okay, okay, we'll get that one then! I like it too!" Ruth said with a giant smile across her face. "Let me fill out this paperwork and we're free to take it home!" "...YIPEE!" Ballentine Shayla giggled as she smiled happily at Ashe. They had both found each other a wonderful pet it seemed. Gently she reached out to tug at Ashe's sleeve, giving her that big grin. "Some day we gotta play togeter with our new pets! It wouuld be fuuuun! Doncha think!?" Renault "YES! I TOTALLY THINK SO TOO!" agreed Ashe, holding her new bunny. "We should go play soon! Well, once I potty train her!" Ashe smiled and looked up to her mom, "Shayla can come over some time right?" "Sure." she replied. "YAY!" "Well, it's time for us to go Ashe!" Ruth said, putting her hands upon her daughter's shoulders. "Awww okay! See you soon Shay!" she said, giving her a big hug and waving as she walked away with Pancakes. "Me and Pancakes will miss you!" - FIN

..- Role Play -.. Irizu & Shayla - Playground Blues
Thread : http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=8183291
LOG: Ballentine The day was kinda warm, too warm for the little girl. Instead of being all over that playground having the time of her life, Shayla slung herself over a swing and just ... Hung there. Her stomach kept her supported as she swatted at the sand below. For some reason, he just didn't feel like playing. Maybe it was because she was melting.
She noticed several minutes after hanging there that she was dripping. She wasn't crying, so she had to be melting. Did the sun not like her? Craning her head, she looked up at the offending sun and sighed. "Stupid.."
Huffing, she reached up to touch one of her horns, noting it had a smooth slippery feeling. Yep, melting. A small frown appeared on her face as she stood. If she melted, would she disappear like the snow? Biting her lip, a worried glance was cast to her father. He could fix it, right? She didn't want to leave her daddy.
Feeling the tears coming on, the small girl sniffled as she turned away and ran for the closest shadow spot. Which just happened to be below the crazy slide. It was there that she sat down, tugged her knees to her chest and started to cry. Other kids looked her way, but none ventured close. Rabid Ice Weasel Irizu had been sitting beneath a young tree, plucking at the dead grass and looking for wormies or maybe mousies. She had yet to find any, but that hadn't discouraged her thus far.
As she held a particularly wormy-looking plant root up to the light, she spotted the crying girl. Her hands flew to her mouth in a gasp of horror.
The bright-eyed girl tugged at Fuzzy Man's sleeve, and he only gave her a cursory glance, a smile, and a nod. She took this as a go-ahead and toddled carefully over to the slide, not liking the way the sand felt in her sandals.
"Drippy girl okay?" she asked as she ducked beneath the twisted plastic.
Ballentine Was someone talking to her? Well... Drippy girl. She had to be the only one melting here. Ice blue eyes looked up at the new girl, her hands reaching up to her hair. "Noooooo! Not ok!" She whimpered, tears running down her face. "I'm melting! I dun wanna go bye bye... " Dropping her hands a bit, she wiped at the tears with her forearms.
Instead of her usual winter jacket, she was wearing just a regular t-shirt. Even the spring weather wasn't to cold for her, nothing apparently was. But too warm, now that was another thing. The small girl just sniffled as she glanced around. "Daddy says the sun makes the snow go away... And 'cause I like snow maybe da sun wants me to go away too..... But I dun wanna 'cause I love my Daddy." Rabid Ice Weasel Irizu squinted up at the sun, eyes watering almost immediately. She still wasn't quite used to the ball of flame in the sky. She could never see it from home. She turned back to the melting girl after a while.
"D'sun can't help it. Iss just gonna be hot foreveh. Das wha' Rizu daddy say. It like drippy girl fine." Ballentine "Den why is it making me all melty?" She asked as if the new girl had all the answers. Perhaps she did, or maybe she didn't. Either way Shayla was looking for answers and a way to not melt into nothing. She didn't have a magical hat to let her come back next winter like Frosty the Snowman - but she had a bracelet.
Curiously she looked down at the golden locket, only to find to her amazement that the ice there was undisturbed. That peeked her interest. "Why does this no melt... But my ice melt?" More or less, she had asked the question allowed to herself. She didn't expect the other to know anything about it.
"Hmmm.." No, this wouldn't have any answers. Again she looked at the girl with her, but this time forced a smile. "My name is Shayla... What is your name?" If she was going to disappear she might as well make one last friend! Rabid Ice Weasel Irizu blinked in confusion. The drippy girl had gone from crying to friendly in a split second. People were so confusing...
"My name Rizu," she nodded sagely, "Rizu got a sister name Zee." She idly wondered if drippy girl had any siblings and peered about in search of them. Ballentine "Riiizu. Dats a pretty name!" She stated, pulling herself up to her feet and reaching round to dust off her bottom. "I make lots of friends lately. You be my friend to now?" She asked, cocking her head to the side. A small trickle of water dripped off the tipped side, she didn't even seem to notice.
"I gots a broder. But he ain't here. Daddy let Grandma take him today. He dun like taking him out with me 'cause I'm so .... What was da word.." She paused in thought, tapping a finger lightly against her lips. "Daddy said I was to much something. I dun remember." Truth was, Jason just couldn't handle an energetic kid with a baby at the same time. Poor guy... Rabid Ice Weasel "Das nah nice," Irizu said, waggling her head and disregarding anything said to her before 'let Grandma take him', "I dun' has a gramma buh Daddy let Rizu n' Zee play all duh time. Skayla n' Gramma live togedder?"
It only made sense for families to live together, after all. Ballentine Shayla shook her head at the question. "Noo... Gamma lives next door. Like dis..." Dropping down to her knees, she started to doodle in the sand. First she drew a large square, then a smaller one beside it. "Dis is Gamma's house." She stated, pointing to the big square. "Gamma, Waya, Belinda, Taima, um.... And lots more live in dare. I can't think of all da names." She explained. There was 8 kids in that house, who could remember all them?
"Dis one." She pointed to the small square. "Is Daddy, me, Colby and Corpse and Rudy-ard." That name always stuck on her tongue. "Cause Daddy wanted out of the big house so Gamma made him a new house and that's where I live." Smiling, she looked at Irizu and giggled. "We have big family dinner over at Gammas sometimes, but not lately..." Rabid Ice Weasel Irizu blinked and drew an absolutely enormous shape in the dirt, not quite a square but entirely geometrical.
"Rizu live here wif Ee-zayuh n' Oliver n' Daddy n' Zee n' Muffin n' Puppy," the girl nodded after a moment, "We dun' haff nobody else cos' they all go boom. We dun' eat dinners either, only me and Daddy. Ee-zayuh n' Oliver eat Daddy instead." The wording of her previous sentence did not strike Irizu at all as strange. Ballentine "They EAT your Daddy?!" Yeah, the question shocked the other little girl. "But why would dey eat your Daddy? I wouldn't want my daddy eaten, but someone say he might taste like chicken 'cause he's got wings... But.." She paused. "I'd miss my Daddy.. my Daddy will miss me if I go melting. OH NO!" And then again, she remember the reason she had gotten so upset.
"I'M MELTING!" Again the tears started to well in her eyes. She didn't want to melt!
But as if on cue, it was Daddy to the rescue. A tall handsome man started over, his long blue hair tied back in a braid dangling between his two stellar jay wings. Yeah, he was dressed as if he were going to kidnap the kids, but frequenting the playground no one seemed to bat an eye at him as he headed towards the two girls. It was easy to find his daughter hearing the shout.
"Shayla.." He called out softly, holding out a small zip lock bag full of.. Ice cubes? "Eat this baby, it's getting warm out here and your temperature is rising. You're not melting... Don't worry." Gently he pat the girls head before dropping the bag into her lap. "Eat all the ice before it turns to water."
Shayla looked from the bag to her dad and to her new friend then back again. "I'm not melting?" She asked, reaching into the bag for a piece of ice, raising it to her lips. ""But da ice will melt to water.. What will I melt to."
Jason chuckled, "Don't worry baby... You won't disappear. Now eat the ice. I have more if you need it." Again he pat the top of her head before he rose to go. He didn't want to interrupt her play time after all. He just smiled at Irisu, but paused. "Hmm.. If you two get thristy come find me ok? I got juice boxes."
Grinning, Shayla shoved another chunk of ice into her mouth before stating "Ok Daddy! Bye bye!" Crunch, ice was so yummy. Rabid Ice Weasel Irizu watched the man as he approached, absorbing his every movement, the timbre of his voice. The skulls on her necklace began to glow faintly, but ceased as the man walked off. She turned her attentions back to her new friend.
"They drink the red stuffs," Irizu nodded, "Daddy got lotsa red stuff. Watchoo eatin'?"
As per usual, her mind was skipping further and further away from the main point of the conversation as each second ticked by.
"Your Daddy's pretty. I like him. He's nice." Ballentine "Red stuffs..." She echoed, but frowned. What kinda red stuff could it be? Oh well, not like it mattered to her. But when asked, she offered the baggie of ice over to her new friend. "I gots ice. Daddy gives me ice sometimes. I like it, it's so coooooooold. Have one!" It was nothing special but a ice chunk from a ice tray.
"And yeah, my daddy is really nice. I love my Daddy." She stated happily, shoving another ice chunk into her mouth. She seemed to once more forget that she was melting, munching away on the ice. "Do you wanna play after I eat my ice?" Rabid Ice Weasel Irizu took an ice cube and popped it into her mouth, rolling it around on her tongue.
"Sure," she said after a moment, "but I gotta go get my giraffe. I'll be right back." She stood then and wobbled over to her father, still sitting beneath the tree and watching his daughter curiously.
"Daddy, I'm gonna go play with Skayla."
"Skayla?"
"Skkkkshhhh....Shayla."
"Is that your new friend?"
"Mmhm."
"I'm gonna come with you, okay? I don't want you getting lost." After all this time, the Viishnu was still a bit hesitant to let the child go much of anywhere on Gaia.
Irizu nodded, stole her spherical stuffed giraffe, and toddled away, joining Shayla back beneath the slide. She didn't notice Fuzzy Man following. Ballentine From her spot under the slide, she watched Irizu walk off and just waved in the fathers direction. Surely he'd see right? If not, oh well. Another piece of ice was shoved into her mouth and crunched on. Ice was flavorless, but still so good. All in all, eating the ice was cooling Shayla's body temperature and her hair stopped dripping.
From his spot on the other side of the playground, Jason watched the small girl stroll over to her parent. Leaning a bit, he tried to figure out if that was a woman or a man. Well, either way he should go say something. Their children were interacting. Biting his lip, he rose to his feet and grabbed his book. Time to me a man Jason... he muttered to himself as he began the walk around the play area.
By the time he made it around, Irizu was already walking back to Shayla. Good. Meant the parents could talk alone. Slowing his pace, he casually approached the fuzzy one. "Um... Hi. My name is Jason, our daughters seem to be playing over there. I thought I'd come introduce myself." Though, he offered no hand shake.
Shayla watched as Irizu started back and giggled. "Looookie!" She pointed behind the other. "Our Daddies are talking now. 'Cause we're friends they can be friends to!" She stated happily, flashing a large smile at Irizu. "So, Rizu. What do you want to play? Maybe we can go make sand castles? No... The box looks too full. Hmm..." She cast a glance around the park, trying to think of what they could do. Rabid Ice Weasel Irizu looked to their fathers, and then back to her new friend.
"I dun' come to the park lots. I dunno what to do." She had, in fact, never been to this 'park' before. She wasn't even entirely sure what made a park a park.
Opec's stoic expression turned to a friendly half-grin when he was approached. He disregarded the lack of a handshake and instead looked the man over discreetly. Not bad, not bad at all.
"I'm Opec. It's nice to meet you, Jason." He bowed slightly.
Opec may have been completely androgynous from a distance, and his voice may have been pretty far up on the tonal ladder, but from this close he was certainly definable as simply a pretty man. Ballentine "Weeeeeeell." She sighed, turning her head back to the other girl. "We can swing... Climb, teeter totter, play in sand.. The wood chips aren't to fun. OH! We can go in the castle. That is if big kids don't push us out 'cause they always say only big kids can go up dare." The small girl huffed a bit at that statement, recalling one incident where she was pushed out of the castle down the little slide. Big kids were mean!
Jason seemed a bit relieved he wasn't speaking to a woman. He now smiled more, giving a faint nod. "Opec, that's an interesting name. Very uncommon but unique. Better than Jason that's for sure." He added, moving to sit but kept a respectable distance between the two.
"I offer this to all the parents, to exchange information so our kids can keep in touch. I want Shayla to be able to keep these friends she's making." He explained, reaching into a zipped pocket a moment before producing a business card. Yeah, he took Risika's idea and had business cards made with his address a few days after meeting the woman. "If you ever want to get a hold of me or your daughter for Shayla, that's the address and number." He spoke as he offered the card. Rabid Ice Weasel "Okay," Irizu nodded, "Show me the castle?" She was curious to see whatever castle could fit in a little playground, and even moreso to see big kids who would dare to try and push her out.
Opec smiled and nodded, taking the card. He studied it for a moment before continuing.
"I'm afraid I won't be able to get in contact with you very easily," he said as he pocketed the little rectangle, his pants so tight its edges pressed through the fabric, "I don't have a telephone, and we really don't like anywhere near here." He pushed a lock of hair back and, seeing as to how he had no properly-placed ears, it fell right back to where it had been. He sat down beside Jason, trying to keep a relatively large personal space for the man.
"Thank you, though. You're the...first Gaian I've met, honestly. Aside from my...roomies." He blushed slightly at this fact. Ballentine Nodding, another piece of ice was shoved into her mouth before she offered the bag over to Irizu once more. She liked to share after all! Only then did she notice the giraffe and giggled a bit. "My Gamma loves those! I see them all over in her room 'cause she says they are her favorite animall." She explained, giggling a little more. "I like tigers!"
While she spoke, she pulled herself up to her feet. "I'll take you to da castle.. But I warned you about the mean kids." She stated, patting her bottom off again before leading the way. It wasn't that far really, just around the play area and towards another. The castle was a wooden structure, hidden mostly behind a hedge of bushes. All in all, to a child it would be impressive but it wasn't all that big.
"Seeeee! There it is!" She pointed and smiled over at her friend. "We can't go in da tower.. If you look you can see kids there now." She stated, and she was right. Kids, more like around the age of 11 were already hanging out in the tower which lead down a long slide.
"Oh?" That seemed to perk Jason's interest a bit. "You're not from around here? I wasn't at first either but my mother managed to have me stay here. It was easier than jumping from this world and to mine. I do go back every once in awhile though..." He muttered, a small look cast to the side as he recalled the love he had lost to that world.
"Where are you from, if you don't mind me asking. Gaia is my home now, so if you do need any help getting around you can ask. I'm quite good with directions... I guess it has something to do with being a bird." Rabid Ice Weasel "Whass a tiger?" Irizu asked, cocking her head slightly to one side. Upon reaching the castle, she stared up at it, impressed but making no outward display of it.
"We can go up dere. Nuttin' says we can't. Just cuz some mean kids don' wan us to doesn't mean we can't." She defiantely began up and into the castle, heading for the tower.
Opec shook his head, smiling slightly, "I'm from there." He leaned back and pointed up to the vague white circle of the moon.
"Pondoya."
Upon realizing the bird remark, he giggled and glanced toward Jason's wings. Ballentine Giggling a little, she thought for a moment on how to explain a tiger. "Well it's a biiiiig kitty. One dat you can see in da zoo. Maybe we can go dar together? I'd show you the tigers then!" She stated, grinning brightly. Yeah, a day at the zoo, that would be so fun!
But her yes widened as Irizu started up towards the castle. Could they really go up there? Oh she didn't have fun going down the slide backwards the last time those mean kids shoved her out of the tower. But... Maybe with a friend they wouldn't bully her? Stupid big kids.
Quickly she began to follow Irizu, holding the baggie of ice close to her. She was not too nervous to eat it, several peices still inside. "Rizu..." She muttered lightly, following closely behind the girl. "They won't be mean will they?"
Jason followed the point, glancing at the moon. He almost laughed, biting his lip to keep from doing so. The moon? Ok, that was a bit weird but hell he came from somewhere only taken there by music. "The moon huh? Well that is interesting. What's it like there?" Rabid Ice Weasel Irizu shrugged carelessly.
"Mebbey. It doesn't matter." She began slowly up the tower, having a bit of trouble getting her short legs up the steps. She heard the big kids talking.
"It's beautiful," Opec smiled, and then protectively wrapped his arms around himself, "It's terrible. Dark all the time. Dry." He cringed and looked away. His old life was clearly something he didn't want to think about. Ballentine "It does matter..." Shayla muttered as she pursed her lips a bit. She wanted to show Rizu a tiger now, so somehow she'd get the girl to the zoo. Maybe not today, or tomorrow. But she'd do it! Her internal mind shook a fist at the air as fire burned behind her. Oh yes, one day she would!
But snapping her mind back to reality, she continued to follow Rizu. Her legs were short as well, and after a dozen steps she paused. The voices were getting louder and she obviously didn't want to go up. But, Rizu kept going. Biting her lip nervously she continued on once more.
As they got to the top they were faced with a group of kids, looking at them as if they were trash rolling in. The platform was large enough for them all to sit in, but of course one had to be a d**k and state, "Hey brats, this is our area. Go back down and play in the sandbox like the good little babies." It only caused a round of laughter from the larger kids.
"I see.." Jason didn't press the topic any further. He didn't want to upset the other. Though at that moment he did glance him over, having to look away to hide his small blush. Damn it! He shook his head to clean it quickly before looking at Opec once more.
"Well... it is a nice day today, isn't it?" He was at a loss for words, he had to start a conversation some how. That or just sit there in silence. But ... He didn't want that awkward silence. Rabid Ice Weasel Irizu simply stared up at the boy who had spoken, blinking. She was completely unaffected by the laughter.
"Shayla n' Rizu ain't babies," she stated defiantely.
Opec didn't notice the blush and simply turned back at the man to respond.
"Mmhm," he nodded, "I haven't seen the sun in a long time. I like it." He smiled up at the sky, closing his eyes against the blinding light. Ballentine The boy snorted, giving a small shake of his head. "You don't even come up to my waist kid, go play somewhere else. Look.. I'll even be nice just this once." He muttered, moving aside to expose the entrance to the slide. "You can go down the slide, but out of the tower ok? It's the big kid area. When you grow you can kick the little kids out. It's just like... the order of things." The others agreed, more than likely they had been kicked out at their young ages.
Shayla just frowned a bit, clutching that ice baggy tighter as she pressed in close to Rizu. These kids were kinda scary... but nice? The mean kid from last time wasn't there at least, and Shayla was calming slowly. Gently she tugged on Rizu's sleeve as she whispered to the other. "Should we go?"
Jason smiled as he watched the other. It was so hard not to take his eyes away. For once in a long time he was starting to feel a bit of an attraction. But seriously! He shook his head again. This was a parent to a kid his own daughter was befriending. He shouldn't think like that. Man.. I have to get out more often... He thought to himself, deciding a night just for himself was going to be needed in the near future. Rabid Ice Weasel Irizu shook her head gently to Shayla.
"No," she said to the boys, "We not big kids, buh we shoul' get ta play here too!" She balled her tiny hands into fists.
"You get kicked out a-fore, but who say you gotta kick Rizu n' Shayla out? Could be nice to Rizu n' Shayla. Rizu can do fun things. Shayla prolly do fun things too."
Opec opened his eyes and looked back to Jason. He'd felt eyes on him, he had. The Viishani smiled slightly and cocked his head to one side.
"What?" Ballentine Another kid stood behind the first, this one a rather snotty looking girl. "Look you little brats... you're getting on my nerves." She hissed, looking the two smaller girls over. Really, big kids were always such monsters. She opened her mouth to say something else but then smirked. "If you won't leave on your own.... Then I'm going to have to do something mean." Like being rude wasn't bad enough.
Reaching out, the girl snatched the small giraffe plushie and the bag of ice. She looked the two items over and laughed. "A stuffed animal and ice? You babies are so boring! Though.... That gold does look pretty." Yeah, her eyes fell on both Izuri's jewlery and Shayla's pendant.
To add at being a b***h, the girl moved to the slide and smiled. "Either leave, or hand over your jewelry... Start whining and this is what will happen to you." To make her point, she none to kindly threw the animal and ice down the long slide.
Shalya moved away from Izuri to look down at the bottom of the slide, frowning as the ice scattered into the dirt. Such a waste...
Jason, at being caught staring, turned away. "Nothing... I was just thinking is all." he muttered. His eyes started to scan the play ground for their children. He spotted the red of Izuri's outfit up in the wodden castle and seemed to be satisfied just knowing where they were.
Again he looked over at Opec, smiling softly. "Our kids seem to be getting along well... that's good."
Rabid Ice Weasel Irizu watched in horror as the ice snacks and her Jirry were taken from them. Oh, no. Nobody did that. Ever.
She glared angrily at the older girl and stomped her foot, fists curling into little balls...and then she shrieked. She shrieked at the top of ehr lungs, shrilly and lustily. The skulls around her neck glowed adn shook violently.
As did the tower.
Opec nodded.
"Mm, they d--hm?" He cocked his head as he noticed the structure's sudden trembling. Irizu screaming was nothing new...but collapsing buildings?
Ballentine Other kids in the tower wasted no time in jumping down the slide or crawling down the steps. They were getting the hell out of there! The tower shaking meant it could fall at any moment.
The boy that had started the bullying quickly made a break for the slide. He didn't care he was going down head first, he was getting out of that tower. The girl however just stood dumb struck. Yeah, bad idea!
Shayla however screamed with Irizu. She screamed out of fear, not knowing what was going on. Reaching out timidly, she'd grip Irizu's hand, "Riiiizu! STOP it!" She cried out, terrorfied the building would collapse.
Jason had opened his mouth to speak and stopped. Something was wrong. Quickly he was up to his feet and running towards the tower. Kid after kid he pushed aside, trying to get up to where his daughter was. Rabid Ice Weasel Irizu gave a gleeful giggle and followed her new friend's request, ceasing the shaking...not that she had originally intended it to happen. She blinked at the girl and held her arms out, one finger still attached to Shayla's hand.
"See? Rizu n' Shayla big n' scary! RAWR!" the toddler said happily, but then sniffled as she peered over the edge.
"Bu' not Jirry all dirty."
Opec followed behind Jason, not so much terrified as mildly concerned, and gave a sigh of relief when the trembling ceased.
"Rizu! IRIZU! Are you okay?!"
Irizu perked up and scampered to the other side of the tower, peering down at her father.
"Yah! Everythin' okay, Fuzzy Man!"
"What did you just...? Eh. What happened?!"
Ballentine When the shaking stopped, Shalya only then released the wall she had clung to. Still shaking herself, she stepped closer to Irizu with a worried look. Shaking her head, she took a deep breath to sigh. "No... Rizu big n' scary..."
Shayla's eyes followed Rizu's, looking at the stuffed giraffe around scattered ice cubes. When a strange voice came from behind, Shayla of course jumped. But calmed realizing it was Rizu's daddy.
