She shrugged, not really knowing how to interact with people. That was not something they stressed very heavily while she was growing up.
"It is nice to meet you, Mr. Jackson." She said rather sittfly, offering her right hand while she kept her left one over her tattoo. She thought that was what people did in these sorts of siuations.

William smiled encouragingly at her and akwardly shook her hand with his. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Aidly. I can see that you're new in the area. How much experience do you have dealing with vampires, lycans, and demons? Do you have any special abilities, perhaps? I'm curious to know what you're capable of."

"I have been trained to fight all three." She told him. "I am......an ESPer." Her hand tightened over her tattoo, not wanting to reveal anymore of what she was to this man, or to anyone.

His eyes widened and a grin spread across his face. "An ESPer?! That's great! We need all the advantages we can get in this city, there are only a few of us and plenty of vampires, lycans, and a good number of demons. I've met ESPers before, you people are great at fighting supernatural forces but at the same time great friends due to your empathy."
Leaning close, he put a comforting hand on her arm and whispered in her ear. "I don't need to be a telepath or empath to tell that your nervous and trying to hide something. It's alright, you don't need to tell me anything, but I want you to know that you can trust me. Alright?"

"Do I have a choice?" She asked, raising an eyebrow at him. "I do not exatcly like to be reminded of what they did to me."

He frowned slightly. "I wouldn't have given you a choice if you didn't have one. I understand how painful memories can be. Know how I forget about that stuff, even if only for a little while?"
At the shake of her head, he grinned again and pointed out towards the pulsating dance floor. "I get out there and dance like there's no tomorrow. I live my life like I'll be dead by morning, because chances are that I will be. So, care to dance?"
He held his hand out to her and smiled warmly, inviting her to forget her pain temporarily and to live her life to the fullest.

"I do not dance." She said bluntly. "Never really learned how." She gingerly took his hand anyway, knowing she was going to regret this.

He smiled encouragingly at her yet again. Whatever happened to this girl must have been something very bad. I'll have to try to help her out of her shell and start trusting. She's a Hunter, that makes her my responsibility and my comrade. "Relax, it's easy. Just let the music flow over you and into you. Allow the rythym to take over your movements, let yourself go. Dancing like this is not nescessary to be practiced, it's instinctual, primal."
With that he led her onto the dance floor and started moving slowly, letting the music guide him and encouraging her to do the same.

She stood there, feeling stupid and out of place. Intsinctual? Primal? Forget that. This was so embarassing, she swore she could feel her face turn red. She shrugged uncomfortably and decided to give it a shot. She tried to move to the rhythm, but she could not seem "feel" it.

Will saw her hesitate and reached out, lightly grasping her wrist and touching the top of her hip. "Shhh, relax. Don't think about how you appear to others, it's just you, me, and the music. Just follow my lead."
With that he started moving again and forced her to move along with him. He gently pushed and prodded, guiding her arms as they moved and weaved through the air, pushing her hips so that she bobbed and swayed to the beat. He looked into her eyes as he danced with her, allowing her to see the joy this simple action brought him, how it reminded him that he was alive. He danced with her for several minutes, subtly teaching her how to grind and move, letting her become accustomed to the pulse and throb of the music. Gently, he let her go as they danced, letting her continue without him guiding her as they continued to dance.

She was wary of physical contact as a general rule, and she felt the same way about him touching her, if only to show her how to dance. But she did her best, if only because she knew he probably wouldn't let her off the dance floor anytime soon. She felt herself getting lost in the music, slowly loosing her emerasment at doing something new and different like this.
((I must leave soon. One more post or so before I have to go.))

He grinned as he saw her finally start to loose herself in the music. Stepping back, he bowed respectfully. "I'm sorry if I made you feel pressured or uncomfortable. I just wanted to help you relax. Now please continue to try and enjoy yourself, I'm afraid that I must get back to work."
With that he turned on his heel and walked to the storage room, going into the room and down the hidden entrance back into Haven.

She bowed back, her half-closed eyes following him as he walked away. She swayed gently in time to the music, thinking. She turned back to the dancing, and then retreated to the bar to get a drink. Perhaps this wasn't such a bad thing afterall.

Len had nodded in welcome to Lydia when she told him her name. He turned to the vampire, but he seemed consumed in some sort of thoughtful silence. He merely stood out of his seat, tipped his head, "Well, perhaps we'll talk again sometime this evening. Enjoy yourself miss Lydia." He gave her a smile and was off onto the dance floor a moment later, the bottle of whisky remained at the table.
As a certain song went on, he began to dance with a random woman, she seemed to not mind at all. He looked over her shoulder to see William and Lydia dancing. Ah good, getting comfertable with the surroundings. Aye, kudos to Jackson. He grinned then finished the dance with the woman, ending it with lowering her with her in his arms, then swinging her back up. He then looked at her for a moment...memmories of someone else flooding into his mind. "Something wrong...Len was it?" He shook hsi head at her words then blinked his eyes. "Wha--huh? Oh, yeah, Len Thompson." He looked around the night club still shaking his head.
She thanked him for the dance and he nodded smiling. He then turned and sighed. Then a rather faster song came on, "Hey, there we go, I like this song." He said as he started out some commical yet impressive dance moves. He eventually ran into to someone close to the bar, who pushed him into a seat next to Lydia.
He came crashing next to her, grabbing on to the counter. "What the..." He looked aroun, whoever had pushed him was hiding now. "Meh, no good..." He turned to see Lydia beside him. "Oh, you again! Sorry for the uh, interesting disturbance." He stood up and took a seat. "Uh, bartender, mind gettin' me a beer?" The bartender nodded and fetched it for him immediatly. "Thank you." He said taking a drink. "So, you getting use to the place?" He asked the female hunter.

"Ow." She said as she looked at him. "I am doing well, thank you for asking." She paused. "I have only just gotten here. It is rather difficult to get used to a place, esspecially once such as this, in such a short amount of time."
