*Kujack spoke with a tired smile. It was true, he did change and there wasn’t a thing anyone could do to make him think any other way now. He was happy… with his family and mate, and even Ger too; things seemed perfect to him.*
“I am sorry if it upsets you, but this is who I am now..”

"No kidding," Mleli snapped back at him when he stated what she felt was obvious, despite the fact she'd asked the question in the first place. She stared at Kujack with narrowed blue eyes for several moments after his final proclamation, seeing right through to the words to how he felt. He was obviously more than OK with this, he was happy. Perfectly happy.
"You're not sorry," she hissed, turning her back to him. Forget acting mature about this, this was only pushing her off the edge. She didn't even seem to care that she was acting so childish, she was just tired of lions and how they seemed to be everywhere and affect everything. With a decisive snort, she darted off. Away from Kujack and away from her tree.
