Wahabu continued inching along, looking from side to side to safeguard against running into rocks or perhaps K'Anatak- but the efforts were futile as he almost walked right into the great white god. With a yelp he jumped back, and then he started to laugh.

"Guess so!" he agreed, "You go hide now." The cub leaned back to the ground and covered his eyes despite the fact that K'Anatak could go in any direction and disappear from view within a few steps.

He smiled down at Wahabu then turned his gaze towards the grass, where would be the best place? "Alrighty, I bet though you can find me faster then me 'finding' you," with that he was off into the grass. He found a spot onnly a few yards away from Wahabu, but the grass was tall here.

K'Anatak scooted himself down to lay flat against the ground, curling his wings against himself he lay very quet without making a sound. Though he held no doubts that Wahabu would probably find him soon enough. It was just nice to feel like a cub again.

Wahabu waited several moments covering his eyes, just to make sure that K'Anatak got a good chance to get away. When he was sure it was ok, he uncovered his eyes and took a good look around him. He had an idea of which way the god went, so he grinned and headed off in that direction as quietly as he could manage.

"Ow!" he exclaimed in a hushed voice when he stepped on a rock. He leapt back, holding his paw above the ground. Then he realized he'd given away where he was, and put his paw back to the ground. Wahabu glanced around him for any signs of motion..

K'Anatak heard Wahabu make a sound as if he stepped on a rock too. What was it with these rocks? It was like they were playing the game and trying to make it so they could end up winning...sort of. K'Anatak shifted himself a bit, so that he could push some rocks away from him, but ehn something touched his left wing.

He jerked to the side only to see a stick had grazed across it, great, so he had moved a bit. He couldn't go anywhere, for surely Wahabu would see. Ah well, Wahabu was a good cub, if he found him he found him. This was great fun afterall. K'Anatak wished he could've played these games with his own brother for a much longer period of time when they were cubs then they did...their childhood was not long-lived.

This was fun though, K'Anatak was having a blast and was hoping Wahabu was having just as much fun.

Any initial movement that Wahabu detected was masked by the wind, which moved in the same direction. The sudden jerk was just barely caught in the corner of his eye. He turned and grinned in the direction he'd seen the odd movement, or what he thought was that direction.

"Hehe," the cub murmured to himself and slowly stalked in the direction he thought K'Anatak was in. He wasn't so talented at stealth, and made a fair bit of noise as he snuck by, not too far from the god. Wahabu obviously was paying too much attention to what he thought he saw, and not to any other indications around him.

K'Anatak sat and waited, Wahabu was so close, curely he would find him soon, he wondered how Wahabu would act when he found him...excited most likely. He was still curious though, K'Anatak couldn't help but always be curious.

The grass was beginning to tickle his nose, and he couldn't help but sneeze, quite loud as well. He scooted down farther and ducked his head a bit, perhaps Wahabu didn't notice...but K'Anatak was sure the cub would find him now.

The sneeze surprised Wahabu as much as the sudden appearance of the god in the first round of the game, and he did a 180 degree jump-and-spin to look in the direction the sound came from. The jump made him a bit dizzy, and he stumbled forward a couple steps.

"K'Anatak?" he murmured, stopping a moment to steady his feet. Once stable, he took a couple cautious steps forward. A grin took over his face as he caught sight of something white in the grass.

"Ah-ha!" Wahabu exclaimed, leaping forward with a laugh.

He heard his name being spoken by Wahabu and he knew right then he was caught, K'Anatak saw him leap forward and he smiled. He looked at Wahabu with his black eyes, a smile still on his face, "You found me, seems you are better at this game then me Wahabu...probably because I am too big."

K'Anatak wondered if he should bring Wahabu too far from perhaps where his den was. He didn't want to have Wahabu too far away form it when he would have to take wing again. He wondered who Wahabu's parents were, where they were. Hmmm, so many questions! "Wahabu, where is your den? I don't want to take you too far from it, the day drags on...I don't want you far from it when I must take my leave..." K'Anatak didn't want to leave, but knew it was for the best. He had to keep moving, staying out of his brother's way and trying to figure out who his father was.

Wahabu puffed up proudly when K'Anatak turned out to be exactly where he suspected, and even complimented him on his playing. He didn't even get much practice at this, but it was a lot of fun.

"You are pretty big," he commented, grinning, "But you're good at this game too. You found me really fast, which is better than stepping on or over me.." The cub nodded at the last comment, smiling. He didn't really think K'Anatak would have stepped on him, but he was just trying to joke around a little.

"Our den isn't real far from here, but I know my way around really good!" he exclaimed, trying to get a look around but not tall enough in the grass to see far beyond it. Wahabu might have done a fair bit of exploring, but any adult would know that he probably wouldn't be able to find his way back from anywhere. "You have to go soon?" He asked, sounding truly disappointed.

K'Anatak was glad he boosted Wahabu's confidence a bit, even without the use of his powers Wahabu seemed quite happy with who he was, which was a very good thing. Though Wahabu said he could find his way back, that was a mental note for the white god to not wander far from here, not at all. Cubs could wander off easily, he knew that for a fact.

He smiled at Wahabu, but noted the child did seem disapointed, K'Anatak was sad he would have to leave soon as well. "Unfortunately I have to...you see, I'm looking for someone...have to keep trying you know? I will come back to see you Wahabu, I promise that...perhaps I could walk you back towards your den?" he hoped that Wahabu would understand, and wouldn't be mad. He actually hoped he and the small cub could be friends.

"I guess," Wahabu agreed, still in a reluctant tone. He knew he couldn't expect to keep a god with him for a long period of time, but he'd been having so much fun. He sighed. He'd just have to keep looking for friends that wouldn't have to go away.

"Ok, I'll show you where my den is!" he said, forcing a more enthusiastic tone. "Maybe you can meet my family! I bet they'd all be surprised to see you." He grinned and started jogging out of the tall grass. If you have to do something, you may as well make the most of it.

"When will you come back?" he asked, stopping when he finally found his way out of the grass, "Can I call you, like Athrun?" It was the first time he mentioned the other god he'd met, but Athrun had indeed said if he was needed then all he had to do was call.

The white god felt bad he would have to leave Wahabu soon, but it would have to be done sooner or later. The talk of Wahabu's family made K'Anatak smile even more, yes, meeting some others would be nice. "I would love to meet them Wahabu."

K'Anatak walked up next to Wahabu as they got out of teh grass, and smiled down at his new friend, "I'll come soon, I promise, and yes, you can call for me if you wish, here..." he spoke as he reached behind him and plucked a feather from his wing. A white aura appeared for a few moments, another feather replacing the one just lost.

He held it out to Wahabu, "You can keep this with you if you would like, even put it in a special place, so I can find when easily when you call for me," K'Anatak rarely gave feathers out, especially because of his brothers desire to take them all...even though he couldn't They would just grow back, his brother had a nasty habit of eating his white feathers...just because his were black.

He grinned widely at the idea of K'Anatak meeting his family, puffing up arrogantly. How impressed they would be he had a friend that was so big and feathery, that would show his sister. Wahabu was pleased to hear the promise of returning soon, it was nice to know that he had a friend that would visit, even if he hadn't found any friends that stay.

He watched curiously as K'Anatak reached around and pulled a feather from his wing, and then in amazement as the wing regenerated the lost feather. As curious as the action was, what he did with it surprised the cub.

"Really? Thank you!" he squeaked excitedly, taking the feather and sitting down while he pondered what to do with it. He would worry about that later, he decided, "Come on, I'll show you." With that he took hold of the feather in his mouth, careful not to ruin it, and got back to his feet.

K'Anatak was glad he could make Wahabu happy by promising to come back to visit. The white god was actually looking forward to it, missing out on his own childhood but having time to spend with a cub would be fun. It would be like becoming a cub (a very large cub) all over again.

There was also something very interesting about Wahabu he just couldn't place, perhaps it was something from his family he inherited, perhaps his mother? Over the years K'Anatak usually found that sons took after their mothers coloration and daughters took after there fathers coloration. Though the personalities could swing either way.

"No Wahabu, thank you, for being a friend for me to look forward to seeing again," he nodded at Wahabu when the cub starting leading him in one direction. He smiled at teh fact Wahabu was being so careful with the feather, though Wahabu would find out that even if it got dirty or frayed, a little while after it would become a perfect feather again. All his feathers were linked with himself, thus could stay well for a good amount of time.

"Alright Wahabu, its time for you to lead," K'Anatak kept steady beside Wahabu, it would be good to meet someone of his family, so that if he visited again, they wouldn't be suspicious of a god.

"Thank you for being my friend!" he squeaked proudly, "I don't have lots of friends, most everyone I met is either family, too big or weird." Wahabu felt 'weird' was an adequate description of those others that he'd met. Mean wasn't the best word for it, but it was second best at least. He didn't really feel like friends with anyone except the two gods he'd met.

"Ok!" he grinned and bounded off towards his home. It really was not that far from where they'd played their game, and after a couple minutes of walking the den was visible in the distance- and a lioness with a yellow pelt matching that of the small cub.

Mtima'safi was the only one at the den that afternoon, and she was laying out in the sun just enjoying the time to herself for now. Not that the return of her son with a guest was unwelcome. Her wings were, as usual, hidden from view- though it would be hard to hide that she was a god from another god.

It was hard not to notice K'Anatak approaching, and at first Mtima seemed to be doubting what she saw. Between the obvious wings that seemed to cover the strange lion and the fact even a glimpse of his soul indicated his immortality, it was hard to deny what she saw. She got to her feet and shook the dirt from her fur, her expression caught somewhere between seriousness and amazement.

How did Wahabu find a god?
