sapphirestarr I've noticed that most of the discussion in this thread is about Envy's gender. xd Like most shims Envy's gender is very confusing. x_x

Seriously, What gender do you think Envy is?
Male. I always thought he was one, and I think he looks like one. He looks too masculine to be female.
Anime true form or Manga true form?
Manga. Definitely.
Do you think he acts Envy like in the movie?
Haven't seen it yet.
Is his hair green or black?
Extremely dark green.
What makes Envy a good character?
He's fun to analyze =D I find him impossible to hate because there's a little bit of him in each of us. You see him as a character who got lost a long time ago and is struggling to find himself again. If you look at the anime, you can understand where all his hatred comes from. Ed and Al have each other while he barely has himself! No wonder why he wants to kill them. Envy's a character to be pitied, not hated.
Would you date him?
He's one of my favorite characters ever, but.. no.. not really my type..

Seriously, What gender do you think Envy is? When I was watching the anime on youtube, I was certain that Envy was a girl until we find out he's Ed's brother. I honestly did. My friend Meg, even asked me what gender he was and I said female, and I was positive too. And then he was Ed's brother... and I couldn't see how he could be Ed's brother and a girl at the same time... so my mind went burning_eyes

Do you think he acts Envy like in the movie? we don't really see him that much, but owing the fact that when we DID see him he was saying "I've been waiting for you Edward Elric..." and attacks him. And then eats hoenheim later... that seems very Envy-like

What makes Envy a good character? he isn't. I despise envy. Though we do need him. If we didn't have just one Ed-hater, then we couldn't have the series. But I do despise him and loathe him with a burning passion. He killed Ed! How can I not hate anyone who kills Ed? But it's all good because Ed comes back to life.
Would you date him? No. I really don't tend to date people who I loathe and don't have a defined gender.

{SONATA} -- >Seriously, What gender do you think Envy is? sweatdrop I think it's obvious that he's a guy in the anime...but in the manga, I think Envy's more of a hermophodite in the manga. Transforming into anyone of both genders sounds suspicious.
Anime true form or Manga true form? I've heard in the movie, he was some sort of dragon or something? But I still will prefer the manga true form...weird and grotesque.

But with every Jeep I see....I'm not a shallow person. That being said, I only like Envy for its looks. And that's the last thing I look at in people. xD my broken heart still skips a beat...

Envy has no gender as far as I know, but he is suppose to be a boy in the anime in Japan I believe! I like Boy Envy best!
