Why would Sanzo care about what he uses his bullets on. Goku does not diserv to be shot at but Gojyo sure as hell does, I would shoot Gojyo every day if I were Sanzo 3nodding (I dont really like Gojoy.... Its a long story. I do love Kenren though)). Its not like he pays for them or anything. And what if I do mean in a Yaoi way? You got a problem with it?

Meh, I knew Nii was a Sanzo in the last volume of Saiyuki (not Saiyuki Reload). "Kami-sama" (whom Nii named Koumyou [which was a shocker for me]) referenced his 'master' as the one that gave him everything but the scroll. And Kami-sama asked his master if he was going to die in the very end. And Nii (how he got there was beyond me) told him 'probably'. Also, Kouryuu (presently Sanzo) met Ukoku Sanzo and Ukoku and Nii had the exact same face (not to mention the same warped humor)

So... Goku needs anti-gluttony classes, Sanzo needs anger-management which won't work anyway, Gojyo needs to be a gentleman and Hakkai... My goulash, Hakkai, you don't need anything... Just a retested driving license...

Bah... Think about it ladies!

Goku is trying to make up for all that time he had lost in the cage. His body thinks it's hungry. You would be too had you not eaten anything for 500 years! And the energy the earth was giving him wasn't very substatial. A full tummy feels pretty good (especially after Turkey Day). And he wears a mask, believe it or not, of happiness. But you can tell its mostly a pose because his eyes go distant sometimes and he obviously wonders what he did so bad to get locked up. He knows Sanzo is familiar and therefore stays with him because it feels right.

Gojyo is looking for the love he never got from his mother when he was little. It's a psychological issue. His mother never gave him love and he craves that attention. Unfortunately, since all his brother ever did to 'soothe' their mother was screw her, Gojyo links sex to love and becomes a pervert in his quest for love. In truth, the guy needs acceptance and love you get from a mother figure. And his face is a mask, too. This pervy kappa is really a good guy that (besides wanting to be accepted) wants to protect what is most important to him. His friends... His ideals... and he's got them... ideals, that is. And the sex thing is just a way to ease that lonliness... that pain... but he knows it doesn't really work. However, force of habit...

Hakkai, bless his heart, has a lot more wrong with him than most people pick up on. You can see it in his eyes, his stance, and his behavior. His gentlemanly behavior comes from a mask. If you remove those limiters of his, he would be far more vocal and not so goody-two-shoes. His stance is that of a man who knows he'll never be dominant. He wants to be dominated, controlled, because of his transgressions in the past. He wants to be punished, and making himself subserviant is the way he 'attones'. And his eyes... well, they go flat sometimes, revealing the killer within. He's a poisoned rose. Beautiful to look at, but dangerous to touch.

And Sanzo... I could rant about that guy for hours. His Master, Koumyou Sanzo, was killed before his eyes. Later, another man (again a priest) laid down his life for him. People he had come to care for. He has come to believe that those he gets close to wind up dead. Therefore, he chooses to stay away from everyone emotionally to protect them... and himself. He's a child that was forced to grow up way too fast. And his emotional state is still that of a child... especially when it comes to love. Everything he does, though, proves he does care. He didn't toss away the Sanzo title and its burdens to honor his Master. He picked up smoking because of that old priest and his Master. He specifically started smoking Marbolros because of the priest. He took in Goku (not just because he was loud and wouldn't shut up) because his master took him in, no questions asked.

Now that I'm done with the ranting... I look back on it and cringe. I sound like a freaking psychologist. And figuring out people is really fun, actually. Otherwise, stories aren't so good if you don't know how they react underneath the surface.

...I started imagining what Gojyo'd do during a certain situation and thought... "Whoa.... I didn't know he'd be so deep."

I was thinking that Sanzo took in Goku kuz Konzen said he would not leave Goku and so Sanzo kinda knew deep down that Goku was his and he had to take care of the kid and Konzen did care alot for Goku near the end of gaiden so I am sure that care from Konzen carryed over to Sanzo 3nodding
