Gat hails from the floating spire-cities of Spica (Which float high above the sea of Lere, the main body of water in Samecia.) His people are fighters by nature. At birth children are put into castes. There are four castes, the Warrior Caste, the Mystic Caste, the Worker Caste, and the Machine Caste. Even members of the worker caste must undergo rigorous combat training for them to be accepted into Spican society. Spicans are actually genetically modified humans, each Spican is a vision of health, rarely needing to rest and almost never getting sick.

The Worker Caste is the backbone of their society, they run just about every non-combat occupation in Spica. Members of the Worker caste tend to have great pride in their jobs and enjoy working. Members of the Worker caste usually work 7 days a week, but never complain. From birth they are taught that they should be happy to be members of the Worker caste, for without them their society would crumble.

The Machine Caste is made up of those select few who are taught the secrets of Spican technology. A member of the Machine Caste is taught everything there is to know about Spican technology, from the simplest hover disk to the most advanced Titan armors, Machine caste members must know it all by heart.

The Mystic Caste is made consists of those Spicans who are selected to study the divine nature of their world. Almost nothing is known about this caste, as they are very secretive. What is known is that they have great influence over Spican society. Whether or not this is a good thing remains to be seen.

And that brings us to the Warrior Caste. The Warrior caste is the Caste that most Spican children are selected for. Members of the Warrior Caste undergo some of the most harshest training in all of Samecia, possibly even the harshest training in all of the worlds. A Warrior Caste members life is consumed by warfare, training for it, learning about it, Warrior Caste members rarely have anything else on their minds.

And now for my character:

Name: Gat
Eyes: Blue. (Obscured by combat helmet)
Hair: Brown, shaggy. (Mostly obscured by combat helmet.)
Age: 13
Height: 5'4''
Weight: 134 pounds
Skin: White, with a healthy tan.
Clothing: Gat wears the standard junior-grade armor that all Warrior Caste members wear on their rite of passage (This armor includes a combat helmet, complete with miniature Vulcan guns, infrared scanners, night-vision mode, and a multi-lock targeting display. A jet booster for limited flight capability. Chest armor to protect against projectiles. A power knuckle with mini-booster, for enhanced punching capability. An assault-gauntlet, which includes two mini-rocket launchers and two flame-throwers. And lastly, combat boots to enhance running speed.). Under that he wears a tank top and some baggy shorts.

Story: Gat is incredibly eager, even for a Warrior caste member of his age. Gat loves to learn about combat, he will sometimes stay up late at night, reading old tactical manuals even when he doesn’t have to. Like all children his age, Gat must participate in the Warrior Caste rite of passage. As part of the rite of passage Gat must venture into Lethe in order to prove himself as a warrior. If Gat can prove himself he will return a man and be given his Mark-7B Titan armor to show that he has become an adult. Gat is understandably excited by the idea of this and cannot wait for the chance to prove himself.

Well, I'll be running it, but I've just come up with an idea for my first character.

Pyromancer whose family has been in Lethe for generations. Originally the civilization they'd been taken from came from a volcanic region. They worshiped fire and lava as God, pretty much. Thus, pyromancers and magmamancers (which are pretty much the same thing in this civilization) are priests. Lethe snatched up a bunch of these people with a portal (the civilization then fell apart as the leaders were missing and there was nothing to keep the volcanoes from erupting). They got scattered out over the land, dying or living on their own merits. This character's a descendant of theirs who, as a result of a bit of inbreeding, is somewhat off his rocker. He wants out of Lethe badly, and has created an idea to get out.

He runs The Cult of The Fiery Talon, a group dedicated to escaping Lethe. They control what may be the biggest city on Lethe (though it is still only one city). Their idea: If we burn down the forest, searching for a way out will be much easier. Thus, this city has about a mile or two of absolutely clear burnt space around it. They're currently trying to find a way to start a fire big enough that it'll become self-sufficient and burn down the forest. The character, though he runs it, doesn't put up with a lot of the mundane operations.

Just a rough idea at the moment. What do you think sirs?

I think that character is fairly intersting Zel. It's good to have a clear mix of locals and outsiders in the story.

Kyyrao originates from a world surrounded by high barriers which were created in a failed attempt to keep out the kidnappings of the dark lethe. The people in her world were peaceful and tradition loving people....basically... boring. Ky and her younger brother dreamed of days filled with adventure. Fighting dragons or Yeilding the power to bend fire for their own entertainment. Alas they were just...normal, or so it would seem. Many people in her world were deeply passionate about the fine arts. Everything from music to painting were taught with strict rule. Kyyrao only did sketches, some times in color, but she was often distracted by her day dreams.

Kyyrao's older brother was sucked into lethe three years ago and she was determined to find him. One day as her and her younger brother were searching the most recent areas of the kidnappings she was sucked in to lethe, leaving her little brother behind in a hallow tree. For the time being Ky is not worried about how to get out of Lethe instead she was more determined to find her older brother. She soon finds out after being attacked by a strange looking human fish hybrid that she can cause things to explode due to her emotions and contiously tries to control it. Ky also can not understand how these powers came about and is searching for an explination

P.S: Ky had been carrying her sketch book and a few pencils along before getting sucked up. She often sketches people she sees/Meets, areas, and events.

Ditto what Indy said. If I fail to return with a promising character/sense of RP at all, go ahead and disregard me entirely.

I think that's about it for my character. What do you guys think? I'm more than willing to change him to fit the RP if need be.

It seems we have two characters that are afraid to get near other people.

Ky- could we have you not detonating [living/sentient] organics? Otherwise you're kind of like New Sun Gambit.

Hito- 4 looks iffy to me.

I can change that if you want. The thing about being near to people and Hello Nasty. I was just thinking that Hello Nasty might fit in with the random theme of the stand. Especially since I left it open as to how the viruses can affect people.

I'm just not entirely comfortable with the whole ability to cause death bit personally.

Of course, I'm not entirely comfortable with random yet not random abilities either.

Alright, I'm okay with no death. Heck, I'll just remove Hello Nasty.

And I thought it was fairly random. It's like rolette. I can't depend on just one ability, because my ability keeps changing from battle to battle.

If you have suggestions for more random abilities I'm all for it.

Well, I think Hello Nasty'd be fine if you limit the extent that it can do. Death is too extreme, but vomiting, chills, fever, and all that other stuff is fine with me.

Out of curiosity, you going to roll a die to determine which comes out? They mentioned at Fanime a die rolling system'd be coming soon, so that might be a good way to do it.

I just assumed that since I said the effect was random that people could come up with their own symptoms and RP from there, I never really planned on death coming into play, I was just using that as an example to show the wide effects the diseases can have.

Yeah, that was the plan.

That seems fine to me. Letting people come up with their own ought to be fine, but maybe once the die rolling system is up, you could roll for severity and they could factor in whatever other factors are present, like fire guy's suceptability as a result of inbreeding and thus a weakened immune system.
