Ra looked at her and smirked bitterly.
"Right." He said shaking his head a bit. "How about you? You make it sound like you'd rather I sleep around and flirt with other girls ... live in the gutter as you put it."
Narrowing his eyes he stepped up to her and looked down.
"Reality 101 Obie. I was helping her with one question and then coming to find you. I might be a bloody blind idiot, because I wasn't interested. I'm telling you to shut the ******** up because I don't have to listen to this. I don't have to stand here and take your crap. I apologise for not staring at her chest and thinking about her naked."

"If you didn't want to ******** hear what I have to say, then next time don't ask me for my opinion," she said, looking right up at him. If he thought standing over her was going to intimidate her into backing down, he had another thing coming. "And if you don't want to stand here and take my crap then leave. No one is bloody stopping you. I'm quite sure that that is exactly what little miss perfect would want actually. So go on. Play into her little game. You may not be interested now, but I'm sure with a little coaxing on her part you could be."

Ra just stared at her and stepped back.
"What?" he asked "I don't want to be interested in her. I love you. Though not so much when you are actinglike this."
Sighing he looked out over the campus and then back at her. He wasn't going to walk away and he wasn't going to let her walk away. He didn't want her to dissapear.
"What's your problem Obie? I really don't get how you got all this from one random exchange with some random girl who means nothing?"

Obie felt a small moment of panic when he took a step back away from her. She honestly thought that he was going to walk away like she had just told him to. When he told her he loved her, she dropped her eyes down to the ground and then looked across campus as he questioned her further. She didn't answer him right away as she honestly didn't have one. She knew she had no reason to worry about that girl, but something had pushed her over an edge she hadn't been to in a long while. Running a hand through her hair, she glared at nothing in particular and let out a short, frustrated breath.
"Right. Of course you don't," she said, knowing full well that that was a completely unjust thing for her to say as she finally turned her eyes back to his. "Just... forget it," she said dropping her eyes again and glaring down at his shoes.

"No. I don't." He said swallowing and looking at her. "But I don't want you to walk away and I don't want to walk away so I suppose I'm going to have to forget it."
He sighed again and held out his hand.
"I did not mean to upset you. How about we get some lunch and take it up to my room. If you want to talk, we can talk. If not ... then we can forget it."

Obie had taken his hand and spent the entire time grabbing food trying to sort out why she had freaked out about the silly girl. When they walked into his room, she set her box down on the coffee table and knelt down on the floor, slipping the strap to her bag up over her head.
"Ra... I'm sorry," she said softly, staring at the white plastic container. Reaching out she began tracing her finger along its edge, a gesture reminiscient of the nervous one where she would trace the edges of her books.
"I just... Isa used to do stuff like that to me all the time. She took everyone away from me until I just gave up trying," she said, then slowly looked up at him. "I guess... I also got scared once we started arguing that... I had pushed you too far and that you would try to force me to see your way... even if you were in the right," she admitted. "Also... there's just so much going on right now. With what happened in Osaka, finding out I have this entire other family, tests, studying... the fact that I'm failing one of my classes... I'm just... I'm sorry," she said dropping her eyes back down.

Ra listened to her and slipped his bag off over his head. He knew her anger had been born from something and ... well, now he knew. Sighing he sat down next to her, wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into a close hug.
"It's o.k." He said softly resting his head against hers. "I was just scared you were going to walk away and I wouldn't see you again. No matter how far you push me I would never force you to see anything."
Sighing again he ran his fingers through her hair.
"I can help you with yourclass? Or you could e-mail my father. He might be able to help you out."

Obie leaned into him and closed her eyes. She felt a little better having gotten everything off her chest. The last things she had listed had been weighing heavily on her mind for a while. She hated how easily she forgot that she no longer had to pull through things alone now.
"I know you wouldn't," she said softly. "But... we had never really argued like that before and... well... he would advance on my like you did and I guess I panicked a little." She fell silent for a moment and just breathed him in.
"As for my class... maybe we shouldn't wander too far for a little while, at least until I finally get things in order again. I think all of our travelling is starting to cost me more than just sleep," she admitted, moving her head to rest her chin on his shoulder.

Ra listened to her and smiled, still running his fingers through her hair.
"I'm sorry, you hurt me and I wasn't sure what to do. I didn't want to walk away but I wanted to show you how angry I was."
Again he smiled at her next words and pulled away to sort their lunch out.
"I think I'd have to agree with you." He said, handing her a sandwich. "I need to study a bit more too, as you showed today."

Obie smiled a little. She really had not meant to get so upset. She had not even really been very threatened by the girl and now half found the whole exchange a little amusing. She had just been too irritated by other things to let sleeping dogs lie.
"I'm really sorry Ne-chan. There really is no excuse for the way I acted. I promise... I'm trying really hard to not bottle things up anymore so that stupid things like this don't happen again," she said softly, looking up at him as he started to sort out their lunch. She smiled a little more when he agreed with her about not travelling so much and reached up to tuck her hair behind her ear as she took the sandwich from him.
"Do you have a study partner for that class? If not, you know I would be glad to help you. I still have all my notes," she smiled, starting to feel emmensly better that they had survived her first major lapse in self control.

"No, and I'd really like it if you helped me." He smiled as he started to eat. Watching her for a moment he thought about all she had said and all that had passed between them.
"I'm not going to cheat on you, you know that right?" He said looking up at her. "What you said back there. I just want you to know it's not true, I mean obviously I think other girls are attractive, I'm human. THat doesn't mean I'm going to chase after them or that I even care. I only care about you and I wan't you to feel secure with me."

Obie smiled and unwrapped her sandwich to start eating. She could feel his eyes on her and smirked at her food at his words. Chewing slowly, she thought about what he said for a moment, then swallowed and looked up at him.
"I know Ra," she said softly. "What can I say? I'm damaged goods with way too much emotional baggage. I suppose it's a testament to how comfortable I am with you that we've lasted this long without having something like this happen. Others were not so lucky," she smirked a little, looking back down at her sandwich and pulling a little piece of meat off to eat. "What scared me the most was when you stepped away. I was afraid you were really going to walk away and I realized I hadn't actually meant to push you away. I don't want to push you away. I don't want us to end up... like the others," she said, glancing up at him again.

Ra looked at her and smiled, slipping his arm around her waist.
"We're not going to end up like the others. Because I am not going to give you a reason to push me away."
He placed his sandwich down on the table and picked up a bottle of tea.
"I have my own ammount of issues too. That one reminded me way too much of the one I had with Chii three years ago." He shrugged and squeezed her lightly. "But none of it matters now. You just need to take it easy a bit more. And we need to talk to each other when stuff is bothering us."

Obie leaned into him as his arm went around her waist and smiled again at his reassurances. She looked up into his eyes and could remember clearly those days after Chii had left him up until he had finally confessed that he was going to break up with her. She never wanted to do something like that to him. Setting her sandwich down, she reached out and took his tea from him to set it down as well. She then moved to wrap her arms tightly around him. She didn't say anything for a few minutes and just held him tightly.
"I love you Ra," she finally said, lifting her head to press a soft kiss to the side of his neck.

"I love you too." He said, smiling as she kissed his neck and tilting her head so that he could kiss her softly on the lips. He remained silent for a moment, holding her with his eyes closed.
"Have you heard back from Giani yet?" He asked, leaning back agains his bed. "You know, about the picture?"
