"Well that's interesting. Wish it worked like that for everyone. Children of my world would be less irritable." she laughed again and then smiled remembering something she'd learned about that world from her friend Steve.

"Will you two be celebrating Halloween?" she asked brightly. Steve had told her it was a tradition in many worlds to dress up in costume and celebrate autumn and the dead. She didn't get the part about dressing in costume to celebrate the dead but hey in some places you got to dress up so you could go to people's houses and demand candy and they'd actually give you some.

Rouge had after being told of this by her half human companion deemed that it should be put into practice on her ship, which everyone save Tandy delighted in. The young captain found this to be a fun and interesting custom and was at least excited to be in a realm known for celebrating it at the time. She'd even started making her costume.

"Oh? Well that sounds like it'd be fun. I like halloween parties. We've been having them on my ship-er home since my friend Steve told us about halloween. Is there any way I could help out?" she asked before hearing Kishi.

"Oh really? What kind of ganster? Because if you're the pinstripe suit wearing mafia kind you'll be needing a nice big diamond earring to go with that." she laughed, remembering doing the look a few years previous-only in bright pink and purple-

"Maybe I shall, maybe I shall." she agreed. Then she looked at Kishi and grinned widely. "Oh not having pierced ears isn't a problem in the slightest. Actually I think I have something that will do the trick with me right now." she told the child.

Reaching into one of the pockets in her hoodie, Rouge found and removed a small black plastic bag. Inside were about 5 little packs of 3 stud earrings, of different sizes. In each pack of these jewel studs was a pair of regular small studs, a medium sized pair and a large shiny pair. But their earrings were different from the kind most people would see with the little posts or the hooks. These had a strange sort of clip on them.

Replacing 4 of the packs into her pocket, the woman proceeded to open the diamond pack. And off of little tabs on the package she took one of the two largest out and held it out to Kishi.

"Here you go. This is a clip-on earring. You don't need pierced ears for these. You just pull the little back part away from the front and put it over your lobe. Then you can push the back closed and boom you'll look like you've got pierced ears. Here try it." Rouge told her brightly, offering the earring.

"Hm? Oh, nothing. Don't worry about it. My jewelry collection's huge already. I She can have the other packs if you don't mind her having them and if she wants them." The woman told Malen with a grin.

Kishi looked cute with the studs in her ears. She definately seemed like a girl who'd enjoy jewelry. "You wear them well kid." she called to Kishi. Yeah she was glad she'd impulsively bought another several packs of clip-ons.

"Of course you will. You can be a special cool gangster who doesn't need an accent or to swear. You have wings so you're already cooler than most gangsters." Rouge laughed, handing the bag with the earrings to Kishi.

The space pirate had taken a bit of a shine to Kishi. The girl reminded her of her elder sister and a bit of herself as a child. Always tomboyish and whatnot. It had been her mother's death that had gotten Rouge to change. She'd pretended to be a boy and despised her mother's pink hair and liking for skirts till the day she'd died. Then little Definity had realized that there was more to her mother than just a pretty face. From then on she'd inherited her mother's liking of jewelry and somewhat feminine clothing. Its bad enough to get beaten by a girl who looks like a guy. But its worse being beaten by a girl whose embraced being just that.
