we stand when we paint. the model get a break every 40 minutes. when you're trying to finish a 26x30 in painting in a limited time, you don't even think anymore. your hand just moves.

that sounds like...so...much...fun
I'd LOVe to do something like that. hell, I'd LOVE to be able to get myself into a life drawing class. I'm going to be doing some life drawing with my painting teacher in janurary, but it'll only be a few hours once a week.

I really love life drawing, it's a chance you wouldn't get outside of a college/school/class..and it's just great to be able to get taught how to draw..different techniques and mediums.

I only have a couple of Life Drawign sessions left in my course, but my teacher has allowed those of us who want to continue to be placed in other classes, so hopefully I'll still get the chance to do it.

life drawing is one of the hardest things to do, yet we have to practice it from day 1. it's just so much better for you than copying from photos.

yep, I agree. real life is better than photos. for me, I find life drawing quite easy..I just seem to be able to do it...and you can constantly see yourself improving if you look through all your work.

Been over a year since I've done any life drawing, but it is great to have the human form static in front of you for once. I love it.
