Ultimatearthbender but if his child is a water bender then it is possible I don't think it works that way...plus if that happened Aang would have to die as the baby is born, and then there wouldn't be any airbenders at all and the Avatar cycle would end.

I think that they are just friends. I don't think that they will be married or make the next avatar!

The topic post was altogether illedgible, and therefore, I have no idea what to say to this topic >.<
Based on the title, I assume it had something to do with the n00bish idea of Aang and Kataara "hooking up", whatever the author of this topic thinks that means. In the most common use of the term, which I have always associated to the act of sexual relations, THERE IS NO FLIPPING CHANCE BECAUSE THEY ARE 12 AND 14 YEARS OLD. Get a life, loser n00blets.

I think that the peiring is cute and all but, she's older than him. It's kinda blah.... And i guess if they were too have kids then yeah it would be a water tribe kid.

As far as their possible kids, I think it'd probably be a waterbender.
As far as their chemistry, I don't think that, romantically, it'd work out. Not right now. Maybe in the future.

I used to think that, but in the later episodes, Katara has been auite the jerk! But if Aang still loves her and all her extreme jerkiness, i think that their child would not be the avatar for the sheer fact of it's father being the avatar.

Talon_Cut since she is a waterbender and he an airbender and avatar do we think if they get together their child will be the next avatar because the child will be of the water tribe the next tribe the avatar is to come from I had thought of that a while ago but know I read this.

I really hope if they have a kid it wouldn't be the next avatar. I mean, come on, Katara would give birth and Aang would die at the exact moment. Kind of depressing.

No, what I think is the most likely option is that Aang and Katara, or Aang and whomever (though almost 99% chance of Katara -_-), will have a baby who Aang will train in Airbending (bending is half natural ability and half training/mindset), and then when Aang dies his son/daughter can train the next Avatar in Airbending. And, y'know, he can have babies and such and hopefully maintain a line of Airbenders.
And plus there is speculation over The Western Air Temple revealing that there are actually remaining Airbenders other than Aang. I think it's a bunch of bull, but hey, can't disrepute it until the thing actually airs, right?
