Tadako Isobe Wiseman Jack Hawksmoor It's funny how fast any thread can become sex-related. xd Just saw this one: cya Didn't it use to be: see you or see ya? Moronic low IQ society this is becoming, we really need a Yoda for guidance. People complain to me over AIM about my lack of abbreviations. Is conformation so vital to everyday life that popular media can dictate and the consuming public will obey? The answer, of course, is "yes".Acronyms. You mean acronyms, not abbreviations. smile On the other hand, this guild comforms in its grammatical non-comformity... Funny, if you think it through.

You mean to tell me that people will give you s**t for taking the extra two seconds to type out an entire word? Cripes.

nsudino Sweet holy crap. That's totally stupid. You mean to tell me that people will give you s**t for taking the extra two seconds to type out an entire word? Cripes. Yep, and I chose to be friends with them in the first place. Lots of my friends are terrible spellers or use bad grammar every once in a while. However, I don't shun or ignore these kinds of people entirely, for if I did, I would be a lonely person. surprised

It's hard to keep yourself from constant correcting. Sometimes, I wish that I could just tell the friend to shut the hell up if he's going to continue posting in netspeak.
Ah, the joys of being grammatically correct in a society of half-brained lazy asses.

The depressing thing is that even though I speak English fluently, it's not my first, or even second language. I oftentimes have to struggle to speak correctly, because I'm trying to reconcile all the different words I have running around in my head, in addition to the utter lack of logic with how the bloody language is set up in the first place.
Here are people who not only speak it natively, but also have the benefits of a well-funded education system. I mean, granted, it may not be the best in the world, but it does certainly meet the requirements of those who choose to put the work into it. So yeah. It ticks me off to no end when I see people who've had these benefits I never did, but still spray poo all over it and refuse to use their advantages. /grump

razzledazzle Doesn't definitately=definitely? Or was that what the point was? What does it have to do with the topic? Crimson said 'definately'. The point of this topic is to b***h about funny/irritating abbreviations. Oh, and there is no such word as 'definitately'. 3nodding
