Funeral Wind Sheynara Luc's return would be utter bollocks and remove the symbolism of his death. Symbolism? Luc's death as a symbol? Unless I'm misplacing my thoughts, I didn't think it as so. But enlighten me. I would love to hear the opinion of another. His struggle to change his destiny, to be free of the Wind Rune etc.. Were you sleeping through III? Funeral Wind Quote: Appearance in a prequel's acceptable. As long as it makes sense. Though new characters for the win. Well he missed his chance already. Unless Konami doesn't plan on moving forward any time soon, I don't expect him to have a better chance than five presented. Or am I confusing my timeline? Edit: Nevermind, I am confusing it. New characters are always desired, but without ANY returning character, Suikoden would lose that one flair that made it desireable. Granted, it won't be enough to turn off fans. At least not for me. It should be what? 70:30 ratio for new to old characters? Hah, I can't remember if Leknaat had Luc at the point of V, but he'd be too young ;P And yes, I fully support returning characters so we can learn more about them, but I like new ones too, to learn about them, funnily enough. Luc's return... DURING FLASHBACKS! OMG YES!
See see see... You know, ONE of the Suikoden games is going to have to take place at Harmonia... And so so so, Methinks a few years after S3, with FreshAngst!Sasarai and STFU!Hikusaak with lots of emo and wank about the dead Wind Child. Oh yes. Oh, and Lekkies as an SoD! And angst!
And totally near the end, a scene with Ghost!Luc depending on whether you got all 108 Dudes o' Destiny... and then you get to see other Officially Dead Stars! Like Ted, Odessa, and Yun!
And then some angst! And then maybe bittersweet hapiness! The end of the series!

While it's canon that the True Runes grant agelessness and immortality (Why Lekkies is still HAWT after 300~ years or so), what if it's just immortality and then, atfer a while, incredibly slow aging as most people seem to think?

Apparently the True Lightning Rune wanted to be weilded by an old git. :3

Eh?? TRs do grant immortality (never dieing) as well as agelessness (your body never ages). TRs bring the body to maturity, as in the case of FiveYearsOld!Ted and TeenagerEvenThoughHe'sReallyReallyNot!Ted. had the Souleater not been passed down to Tir, then Ted would still be FifteenEventhoughHe'sReally300~!Ted forever more and would never die.

Sheynara *sigh* Arshtat. How in the ******** could she be killed if True Runes grant immortality? IIRC, True Runes prevent dieing from old age. Never say anything about getting stabbed in the gut by a badass with an eyepatch.
