Ori almost tripped over a rock in his path at the suggestion of going to an oasis. He thought quickly and then said. "Any oasis but my fathers prides oasis!" Ori shouted so that Erosia could hear him over the passage of the wind. He wanted to stay away from his fathers pride for as long as he could. Going back now would defeat the purpose of having left.

"What? But that's so far!!" Erosia had heard the reverse, wide eyed. "There's another one nearer. 'Sides, that's on the opposite direction..." In the end, everything was good...
With their swift paws, and the rhino far away, it didn't take too long to reach the small lake, a welcome sight for sore eyes. With no second thought, Erosia leapt in, so very much relieved by the freshness... And the fact the murk had been washed away...

Ori glanced around at the surroundings as they reached the lake. He stopped at the edge of the water his ears perked high for the sounds of anyone else. He then sighed and floped into the muddy area around the lake. "This is perfect. No parents, no sisters. no pride; I think I could live forever like this." Ori said taking in a deep breath and releasing it with another sigh.

"Ha! You think it's easy to be alone?" Erosia said, chuckling. She splashed him with some water as she stepped to the shore, shaking her fur on him. "Don't ilude yourself, over the years it gets lonely..." she added, stretching herself to catch some sunrays.

Ori rose his head up as Erosia spalshed him and he rolled to his side and got up out of the mud. He pondered shaking his muddy fur out on Erosia but it was a fleeting thought and he decided against it and instead dove into the water of the lake causing a fairly big wave. "Well just cause I'm a wanderer doesn't mean I have to wander alone all the time. Sometimes having just one companion can be better than being stuck in one area with a bunch of lions who think you're nothing but a disgrace." Ori said the last part coming out in a growl. Now pretty much mud free again Ori stepped onto the shore, not shaking out his fur, and stretched out near Erosia to catch some sun.

"Oh yeah, poor me, I had a home and a family... Boohoohoo..." Erosia mocked, eyeing Ori skeptically. "Still. Is that a proposal? That companion thingie?"

Ori rolled his eyes at Erosia's mocking. If she knew what had went on in his pride she may have thought leaving to be a good thing too. At her question he shrugged and glanced over at her with a sly expression. "Can be if you want it to." He replied knowing if she wanted to be his companion she'd say yes and if not she'd blow him off and leave probably never to be seen again. The later being very very depressing.

"Mmmh..." Erosia muttered, eyeing their reflection on the water. Yes, no, perhaps, maybe? Loneliness had good things... Not having to deal with annoyaaances... But Ori wasn't an annoyance, most of the time. Sooooo... "I guess two are better than one..."

Ori almost seemed to be holding his breath at Erosia's hesitation. He had such an urge to be around her that he actually gave a sigh of relief when she agreed to it. "That is just too true." He said rolling onto his side with his back to Erosia and his head tilted back so he could still look at her. "Though I'm sure there's other reasons why you want to stick together." He said giving an amusing grin.

Erosia stared at Ori, raising a questioning brow to him. "I'm not following you there..." she groaned, pawing at his grin. She did understand what he was implying though, but would she say it? Naaaah...

Ori made to lick her paw when she brought it near his mouth though he was careful to mind her claws. He didn't need a bleeding tongue at the moment. "Oh I know you're more clever then that dear Erosia." He said leaving it at that. If she did not wish to acknowledge she knew what he meant he would not make her. After a moment he yawned. "Fighting rhinos and running sure takes it out of you."

Erosia kept her gaze skeptical, letting silence speak for itself until Ori broke it with his yawn. "Oh you'll have plenty of that. I just seem to have a knack at getting stuck in not too pleasant situations. Once, it even was an elefant..." she said, recalling the event grimly. It had been a question of sheer luck, really...

Ori chuckled at Erosia's words. "Well pleasent situations are boring. It's more fun when there's a bit of danger in the air." He replied while rolling onto his back and scratching his chest with a paw. "Heck we can make our own danger."

"Try having that kind of fun three times a minute and tell me about it, if you're still alive after that... And, right now, the only danger I want to make is to swallow the random bug while snoring... Wanna get a nap before barging into anything else today." Erosia stretched herself, from her fingers to the tip of her tailfeathers, on a not so elegant yawn.

Ori chuckled and attempted to stiffle a yawn. "You know a nap sounds perfect." Ori replied and pretty much stretched himself out and layed his head on his paws. He was dead to the world in less than a minute.
