Rahu tensed a bit more as she mentioned Zira's smell on him and almost stopped in his tracks but kept walking. " your not one to easly get to a different subject are you? but then again you could always see through me most of the time." he gave a snort and flicked his tail as they walked. " funny you mention smelling a mare on me. and you know how i am about such things. also why do i get the feelign that you think im fallign for someone?" ofcourse he tryed to play it cool and get away with not telling her a thing but knowign Aruna she would see through it.

Aruna was slowly becoming very frustrated with the Arabian stallion. "Rahu, stop it. It's not like you to talk around a subject! If you feel so uncomfortable about the topic, just say so! Otherwise, I'm going to keep prodding!" She snorted, tail flicking angrily at the thought that he still wanted to keep some secrets from her. It was all right if he kept some important ones to himself, but things like love and such were beyond that... at least, in his and her case, she hoped so. They were really close for two Soquili who used to be in love with each other--almost too painfully close. "So who's the mare? At least give me that."

" it is liek me to talk around a subject when i dont want to talk about it or i dont want the other to know about it."Rahu growled a bit as they still walked and he for some reason picked up the walking pace. "you always prodded when you wanted to know something, and right now givee me a good reason to even tell you." he snorted and contiuned walking at the new set pace he set. yes they had been close once but he was tryign to close himself up again to keep his old feels that he could feel boiling inside from return once again.

"It is now, anyway," she retorted, keeping pace with him. "Why should I give you a good reason to want to know? Would you rather me turn to rumors and assume?" she reasoned. "Rumors aren't the best to go by, and I've been wanting to find out the truth for some time now! If you'd rather me believe the rumors, then I shall." She mumbled angrily to herself, but did not move away from him nor slowed down. She stayed with him.

Rahu stopped in his tracks, and glared at her. " you need to remeber who your dealing with and pushing Aruna." he growled out but stopped and shook his head before walking off again through the trees and out through the clearing. snorting he figured she would follow but he wasb't wanting to talk.

She watched as he glared at her (tuning out his words in the process) and slowly ambled after him into the trees and into a new clearing. "I remember quite well, thank you," she said, rolling her eyes as she entered the clearing. "It's a little hard to forget, you know." She glanced around, knowing he would talk when he felt like it. Deciding she was thirsty, she went toward the small spring and bent to get a drink.

Rahu ploped himself in the grass not far from where Aruna was geting her drink and laided on his side. " then why bother to try and make me open up again when im trying to keep myself closed off?" giving a soft snort he waited for her responce to the queestion he just threw at her.

She finished her drink and turned to look at the black, red-tinted stallion now lying on his side. "If you're trying to keep yourself closed off, Rahu, it won't work. I'm not bothering to try--I'm just doing what I've always done. Perhaps it wasn't me who opened your heart--but I admit that it was partly my credit--but I believe it to be the foals you have come to know. Mocha, your two adopted daughters... any others? The foals are the ones making you open up, Rahu." She said this as if it was a fact, and it nearly was. "Unless everything is to be my blame? I wasn't the first foal you met, remember?"

" that may be true and a fact but do care to remeber you where the first i ever cared about even in the slightest way. i may be open more because of them but not in the same way" Rahu shifted himself a bit to be more comfertable on his side. " if i had never met you i wouldn't be the way i am now." he got off his side but still laided there and with flicked back ears as he admited things he wouldn't even care to normaly admit.

"So everything is my fault, then?" she remedied, sighing as she laid down right where she stood. "I prefer you any way, Rahu; I almost miss the days where we had verbal fights. Those were interesting." She twitched her ears, staring out across the area, anywhere but Rahu. She herself was silently admitting some things that she didn't want to admit, nor ever acknowledge.

" no not really." Rahu didn't look at her ether as he laided there. " thats all in the past. and prefer me? do explain why you whould say that." Raiseing a brow and eyeing her at that, he wondered right then what was goign through her mind.

She heard his question, but she was currently trapped within her mind as thoughts reeled around her heard like a frightening whirlwind. She had let slip a small clue of what she had been thinking as she spoke to him, and it had been something she hadn't wanted him to know. He didn't know that she still harbored romantic affections for him--she had tried her hardest to be rid of them, especially as she was also still partially in love with Delano. Half of her loved Delano, the other half still loved Rahu. She had thought she had gotten over it--as a matter of fact, all she had done was lock away those feelings into the back of her mind, hoping to forget them. It seemed she had failed in that manner... "Yes, in the past... and... I... won't say why I'd prefer you in any way," she said quietly. Forgive me, Delano, for this unmistakable, unloyal act of mine... feelings of your first love are hard to forget, she thought, almost whispering her thoughts just then.

something in Rahu's mind clicked at her resonce and wasn't hard for him to figure out that she had let something slip. Rahu got to his feet then and took a few steps back away from Aruna, not even lookign at her now. " i think it best i leave now, as i think we shouldn't be around each other." he took one glance at her and turned away.starting to alk off then his heart clinched a bit as he did.

Although he said nothing, she knew from the sound of his retreating hoofbeats that the her request was refused. It made her ache for her mate so badly. With his words, she let Rahu go, and with him, the hidden feelings that she had harbored unwittingly for so long. It was time to seriously move on. She had earlier claimed that she already had moved on, though in reality that was a cover, to stop others from worrying over her. She felt something wet splash down upon her legs, and suddenly realized she was crying. How long had it been since last she shed tears? Too long... "...Well, it was nice seeing you anyway, Rahu," she whispered, ignoring her tears and making sure to just stare straight ahead. "Next time we meet, it will be a reunion of old friends. I wish you luck for whomever else may capture your heart."

Rahu stopped in his tracks as he just barely heard her words when he had started to walk of. he turned and and looked at her, leting his eyes show what he wouldn't. as he saw the tears on her face that got to him there and he gave a sigh, as he walked back over. " why must things between us always end like this? nice seeing me again? i hardly doubt you enjoyed seeing me again. and i doubt even more we could even be just friends as theres been too much between us." brushing one of her tears awy, he always did hate seeing tears on her. " as to my heart beign captured by someone else it might be happening but im still trying to figure out if i'm even capable of returning any love."
