Silent_Crying_Eyes

The bell of the shop tinged softly as Chao padded in, Ai in her usual place in the hip bag and Runae at Chao's other side.
After unhitching Ai and setting her on the Nieken's back Chao flopped down into one of the plush chairs, immediately plugging a pair of ear buds into her ears and pulling out her book.

Aido took a moment to get herself balanced on the Nieken before nudging Runae forward. Quietly the two began to explore the shop.

Silent hid her body in her large cloak as she walked the same sidewalk she did last night. The sun shone high and bright in the sky unlike last night when it was muggy and raining. Angelus ferverently tried to open the cloak that blocked the light.

" Just be patient. We're almost there." Angelus seemed to understand her problem and quickly stopped. Silent held his plushie in her arm. As long as the plush was in an arms distance Angelus was fine, but he couldn't handle being too far away from the toy.

Boot cladded feet clapped along the marble street. Looking up ahead Silent noticed the familiar stationary shop. She needed some answers. Quickly, she darted down the street and effortlessly opened the door. The familiar bell jingled her entry.

The jingle of the bell made Chao look up, grey eyes questioning. She vaguely reconized Silent from the diner but she didn't reconize the boy she held in her arms.
Lightly she waved to the duo.

Aido turned about on Runae's back, looking over at the two new people.
A shiver squirmed up her back at the sight of the new Tale and she gave her head a shake, banishing the feeling that had momentairly surfaced.

Silent quickly relenquished the hoody from her body revealing the child she held in her arms. She gave Chaos a smile and a wave.

Angelus' brown eyes scanned the room and fell upon the females in the shop. His black feathery wings flapped slightly at the sight of another tale but no emotion came across his face.

The lack of emotion was unusual, and it left Aido peering curiously at the other Tale from atop her Nieken steed of sorts. Not sure as to whether or not to approach the other Tale.

Chao sat up and removed her ear buds from their resting places and simply let them dangle about her neck instead.

"Hey Silent, still looking for that stationary?" her gaze flickered to Angelus, wondering if the boy was another Tale.

A sigh escaped her lips. " I've got a bigger problem then finding the right stationary. " She briefly looked to the child in her arms. " Do you know when the owner of the store will be around?" She asked. Chaos seemed more knowledgeable than herself. Angelus' wings flapped in her embrace so carefully she placed him on the floor. His plush wasn't far behind.

Angelus cocked his head to the side as he scrutinized the the other Tale's face. In his left arm he cuddled his plush to his side and with his right hand he fingered the cross that adorned his chain around his neck. He made his wings flap once very hard causing a feather to leave its shelter on his back. Gracefully, the feather floated towards the girl.

Shop owner? Bigger problems?
"Ahh, the study got you too, hnn?" Chao said with a nod of her head, feeling oddly tempted to glare at the Study's closed door. Though she wasn't sure why...

Aido reached out her hand and caught the black feather. She eyed it for a moment, halo glowing softly before a soft smile spread out on her features as the glow died away.

"Ki!" she said, gesturing over towards Angelus. Runae, stuck in her current posistion as schofer padded over to the other boy, stopping about a foot away and leaning down so that Aido could slide off. The Nieken settled down, watching the two Tales curiously. From her new place on the floor Aido smiled to the other Tale and waved.

Silent chuckled. " I see you've experienced the room as well." Silent walked over to an empty chair and sat down looking at the two children on the floor. As if she sat upon a hot piece of coal Silent shot straight up. " Damnit! Work! I'm sorry." She apologized to the woman. " But I have to go for a little bit, but I'll be back. I hope I can get some answers." She mumbled the last part to herself.

Angelus brought his hand up and hid his eyes from the glow. What was that? he thought. The cross that adorned his chest seemed to start to burn his skin. He batted at the ornament and the metal quickly cooled. Questioning eyes looked to the girl. What was she? His mouth was about to open when he felt his body being scooped up.

Silent quickly picked up Angelus and his toy and sadly looked to the other Tale. " Sorry. But he'll be back, we just need to leave right now." Silent felt really bad. She wanted to introduce Angelus to more children. All she had were animals at home. Not, well almost, human children. Silent waved goodbye to the occupants of the shop and opened the door that led to the street. As she was leaving the shop Angelus sneakily waved to the other Tale. He wanted to see her again.

Silent_Crying_Eyes

Silent traveled the familiar sidewalk that led to the stationary store. Maybe the owner would be there this time. So many questions racked her brain. Angelus was nestled in the crook of her arm. He was such a nocturnal creature. The first night she laid him to bed he screamed in the middle of the night and a disturbing drawing was left near his crib. Silent was nocturnal as well, but she didn't figure anything like this would happen. Her soft fingers ran through his silky hair. Brown eyes gazed up at her.

" Don't worry. We'll find some answers." Silent finally reached the entrance of the store. Opening the door, the bell jingled her arrival.

As the jungle rung out bi-colored eyes flickered to the door as Aido turned to watch as Silent and Angelus walked it. She was standing next to Runae, one hand on the Nieken's side.
She grinned, it was that boy! The one from the other day who'd given her the feather! She put up her free hand and waved to him cheerfully.

Chao was standing beside Aido, one hand out and ready to catch her if she tripped over her own feet, as the toddler had a bad habit of doing.
"Hello again Silent."

Silent chuckled as she nodded to Chaos. " Hello Chao. How've you been?" She asked the woman who seemed to always be at the shop. Silent placed Angelus upon the floor, quickly glancing at him to see if he would use his wings instead of his feet. He sat down upon the wooden floor. He used neither. Demetra stayed as close to Angelus as possible. Like a bodyguard of sorts.

Angelus watched the girl. He flapped his wings but he didn't show any reaction.

Demetra watched the interaction among the children. Using her muzzle, she nudged his shoulder slightly. Talk to her she urged. Fortunately, Demetra found out that Angelus was able to send messages to animals such as herself and a few beasts back at home.

Angelus looked blankly at Demetra. She glows brightly. I don't know what she is. He sent back. In his mind, he was able to form coherent thoughts, but if words escaped his lips, he sounded just like a child. Brown eyes went back to the girl. What was she?

Chao smiled, she came down to the shop nearly every chance she got, as many of the gaians she knew seemed to happen by and Aido's friends were often here as well. "I've been alright, happy to be on my febuary break. How're you?"

Aido's face fell at the other's lack of reaction, save the stare.
Had she done something wrong? She nibbled on her lip then cocked her head. All she'd done was wave...
The dull light that had been eminating from the silver and black halo faded quickly until there was no glow at all and the halo looked to be a simple circlet of possible burned metal, the dark stain obvious. It was floating so lowly that it nearly touched her ruffled hair.

Runae looked over to Demetra, hello there.

Silent nodded as she occupied a vacant seat. " A break is just what I need, but I don't get it. I've been well, save for some odd occurances ever since I brought Angelus home." she reavealed to the woman.

Angelus flapped his wings a bit more as the flow resided. He felt better. Slowly, he squeezed his plushie into his chest and offered it to the girl. Maybe she wasn't so bad.

Demetra raised an eyebrow at the other creature, causing her tattoo to stretch along her cheek. She nodded her head in greeting. The other Tale also had a protector. Hola. I'm Demetra. And you are? she inquired.

Aido blinked and reached out, taking the plushie in hand. She looked down at it and gave it a pat on the head before hugging it to her chest. The motion caused her to lose her balance and fall back, landing on the floor with a thump.
For a moment she looked a bit stunned but it didn't last long. She simply gav the plushie another hug. It was soft, like her walrus plushie. Or like Loth, who was a walrus, but he'd gotten bigger a little while ago, but he was still soft.
After a moment she handed it back with a smile, "than kyu..." she managed out, it was still hard to speak, but she was learning.

"Odd occurances?" Chao asked, cocking an eyebrow and looking down to Aido, who'd ended up on her butt without Chao even noticing. "You alright Ai?" She asked. The infant blinked at her then went back to looking at Angelus Chao chuckled, "yep, you're fine," stepping over Aido she settled in another seat next to Silent, figuring the Tales and creatures would be fine on their own.

Nice to meet you Demetra, it's great to find another who speaks this way. My name is Runae. Runae said with something akind to a smile, she hadn't seen any others following the littel ones around, dispite their small stature and habits of tripping on their own feet.

I kind of had to leave in short notice with this meeting, but it means something none the less! 3nodding

Silent_Crying_Eyes

Silent cuddled the infant to her chest as she briskly walked down the sidewalk that led to the shop. Angelus cooed at the momentum of each step. Slowly, he became much more verbal. The poor thing had to with the family members he had to live with. Silent quickly reached the door and opened it swiftly causing the bell to ring.

A minute later the door squng open again as Chao nudged it open, nearly bumping into Silent as she stepped in, looking up at the last moment and stopping. "Ah! Silent!" she yelped, stopping herself.

Aido looked up as she flopped against Chao's hip, sighting Silent and Angelus quickly. She waved a hand and smiled in gretting.

Silent held her balance and smiled at Chao's. " Chaos! How've you been?" she asked the female. Demetra looked up with grey eyes at the two females. Her eyes turned to Angelus. Silent waved at Aido. Such a cute little girl.

Angelus felt his body being lowered down to the floor. On wobbly legs, he was able to stand as long as he clasped onto Silent's leg. His wings flapped at the sight of Aido. He gave a barely visible smile. Much too shy to show such emotions.

Chao grinned, happy to have run into a familar face, "I've been alright, how've you been Silent?" as she talked she set Aido down, who stood on wobbly legs before grabbing onto Runae's pelt as the Nieken walked in, steading herself.

She looked up and smiled, returning Silent's wave before turning to Angelus. She still hadn't really met him or interacted, so she was still a bit wary. She waved and smiled softly to the winged boy.

Silent smiled and let out a sigh. " Miracly, on a day off. A much needed day off." She chuckled. Her gaze went down to her left leg on which Angelus was latched on to. A smile came to her lips. " You're going to have to let go sooner or later." she said.

Demetra knew that Silent wanted to sit down, but Angelus used her as a way to steady himself. She walked next to Angelus' side and let him hold on to her. The boy wanted to fly; not walk.

Angelus' brown eyes looked up into the womans. He understood what she said but he didn't want to let go. Thankfully Demetra came to the side of him. He quickly grabbed onto her bright red fur, being very careful of her spikes. His eyes went back to the girl. He pointed to himself.

Angelus. There. Short and to the point.

Aido blinked and cocked her head. That was new, she'd heard him but not in the normal way, he hadn't even moved his mouth.
She pointed to him, "An-gel-us?" she said slowly, tasting the name. "Ang'lus," there, that was a tiny bit easier to say.
She pointed to herself, "Ai."

Runae looked to the little boy, her full name's Aido. The infant rarely said her full name after all.

Chao looked down to the name exchange and smiled, ruffling Aido's hair. "Angelus huh?" she waved to the other infant, "a day off huh? My school's on vacation now, the days off have certainly been welcome."

Angelus nodded his head in understanding.

Thank you. Aido. Interesting.

He didn't like to talk with his mouth. He sounded too much like a child. Even though he was young, he didn't want to hear himself slur the english language. Opening his mouth, he used the name that left the girls lips.

" Ai." He pointed to her. " Ang'lus " He pointed to himself. His brown eyes went to Demetra. " Sunset. " Demetra's fur reminded him the color the sky was before the sun fully set. A gorgeous red. Angelus looked up at the other woman. He flapped his wings as if waving back.

Demetra thanked Runae. Thank you. He's not much of a talker. I'm surprised to even hear him right now. Angelus was a quiet child verbally, but mentally, he had different conversations with the beasts of his household.

Silent smiled and looked down at the children. " Angelus. " She repeated. The word Angel was placed in the name. She spent many hours wondering if his name meant anything. Well, his name and his wings. She chuckled to herself. " A day off is heavenly. Work is tiring. Off of school? Is it for spring break?" she asked.

"More like just a febuary break. Just a little more than a week, but it's wonderful all the same." She looked between the children, smiling as Angelus flapped his wings. So many of them had such unusual names... "I wonder why the Tales are named the way they are..." she'd done some research on Aido's name the other day, but it had just left her more confused and questioning than before.
She looked back to Silent, "hey Silent, did you name Angelus or was his name on his Tome?"

"Sunset?" she'd heard that before. She looked to Demertra and nodded, she did remind her of the color the sky turned before the sun dissapeared. She smiled, "'alo Sunset."

Runae nodded her head, I'm not surprised. Maybe he'll be more talkative when he gets older? It seems like most of the infants prefer body language, speech is probably very difficult.

Silent nodded her head. " February break. A break that is very much needed. A week is not bad at all." Her gaze followed Chaos' as she looked to the children. Angelus was quiet except for the gurgle, giggle, whine and such. " I wondered that as well. Angelus seems to religious. Mythological. I sometimes call him Angel for short and then he gives me this look. So I call him Angelus and then he's ok. Is name came upon the tome when he appeared in the room. I searched through many books to see where the name originated from. Being a vampire, it seemed familiar, but I couldn't point it out. The other night, I looked through my houses' books and found an old volume. A demon with the face of an Angel. Angelus was a malicient vampiric murder. The best torturer. Then he was cursed with a soul. For the rest of his life, he tried to atone for his wrongs and his soul was wracked with guilt. Nice huh?" she chuckled. There was soo much more to the name then what she led on. But that was a long story.

Demetra purred at the little toddler. She looked to Runae. Sunset is better than Big Red.she chuckled at the nickname that was given to her by a friend. She had sooo many. She was surprised to keep track of them all. Demetra nodded her head in agreement. Talking is hard when they're young. Angelus tries to scheme his way out of it by sending us messages, but we've been trying to teach him to his use mouth. she looked to the Tale that she talked about.

Angelus buried his head in her fur. So warm. So soft. His wings flapped at the silky touch of Demetra's fur. His ears cocked at the mention of his name. He looked up at the two adults.

"Wow," Chao murmered, walking over to one of the plush chairs and sitting down. "Interesting. A demon with an Angel's face, huh? Cursed with a soul?" she frowned, "a soul... and that racked him with guilt? His sould must have been very... pure then. Look at all the mercilessly cruel murders or torturers who do have 'souls'..." she unhitched Aido's bad and rolled her shoulders.

Aido looked up to the adults, over to Angelus. Everyone was talking. Letting go of Runae's fur she began to walk, still slightly uncertain on her own too feet. She wanted to explore the shop!

What about a red giant? Runae chirped, thinking back to the rants Chao had made while attempting to study Astrology the previous year. Aido seems to waver betweeen body language and babbling. And... walking off. Bah. This one's a wanderer. She stood and followed the infant, keeping pace with her incase she was needed to steady the girl.

Silent mimicked Chaos' actions and sat down upon a plush vacant chair. " I know. Hours and hours of tales and stories." She looked to her little guy. " I wonder how he got that name? Maybe he's just too young to understand." She hoped that was the case, but the dreams and the paintings that kept appearing in his room didn't agree with her. " What does Aido mean?" she asked.

Demetra chuckled. Big Red. The name of a brand of gum. I don't get it either. Demetra watched Aido walk off on her two wobbly feet. Isn't she a curious one. Her head turned to the side of her at Angelus, but he was gone. Looking around, she noticed the little misfit started following Aido. This one's a troublemaker. A wanderer and troublemaker is not a good combination. she said as she kept very close to Angelus but made sure not to get in his way. She was there if he needed her.

Angelus watched as Aido started to walk off. Where was she going all alone? On wobbly feet, he slolwy started to follow her. She needed company; she couldn't be alone. It didn't seem right. For some reason, he had a sense to protect her. So, he joined her in her wanderings.

Chao sighed and sat back, "the only thing I found it refrencing to was a legend by an African people about the creation of Earth. Aido Hwedo was said to be an enormus dragon who carried the creator in its mouth. It could travel between heaven and earth with ease and helped the creator create the world as we know it. Carving waterways, mountains, valleys, ect. Then, to stabilize the world, Aido Hwedo coiled beneath the Earth and a cosmic ocean was formed to keep it cool while it eats the iron beneath the crust as its fed by monkeys." She shrugged at that point. "When that iron runs out Aido Hwedo will eat its own tail and the world will surely end." She blinked over to the infants, "I'm just as confused as to why she has her name as the others have their's."

Aido looked back, noticing Angelus following her and yet go of Runae's fur and turned back, wobbling over towards him. Grabbing his hand in her's she smiled at him and turned back, heading forward yet again. It could be dark where they were going, wherever the shop led. If someone else was going to come with she didn't want to lose them.

A brand of gum? Really? Runae blinked, pausing where she stood, waiting for the others before falling in step with them. Aido may be too curious. She's getting good at slipping away.

Silent pondered over the story. She looked to the little girl. The name didn't seem to fit the little one. But Angelus... He may have been named correctly. She shook her head and rid herself of such a thought. " Maybe their meaning will have to do with the children. Do you think that could be it?" she asked as her head was cocked to the side in concentration.

Angelus nearly fell over at Aido's sudden movement. His wobbly feet followed Aido's quick one. No one knew this, but slowly he was mastering the use of his wings. When he would be alone, he would flap them as hard as possible and rise into the air. Soon enough, he'll be able to reach the ceiling. He wondered where she was taking him?

Demetra nodded her head. A brand of gum. I don't know how she came up with it.She was referring to her friend Gypsy. Little did Angelus know, Demetra saw his wings agitation in not being used. She caught him once flying, but he didn't see her. He was a real troublemaker when he was by himself.Curious is a good trait to have. At times. Angelus just likes to cause mischief. Sometimes he's so quiet and other times.... I don't understand, but sooner or later I will. she nodded her head as she fell in step with the group.

"Maybe it does, though who knows in what ways? Or maybe the study simply wanted to screw with our heads?" she said with a crooked grin.

Aido really didn't know where they were going either. She just wanted to explore, she'd never really done that before, not here at least. She looked about, at the stacks of stationary, at the locked study door and then at the stairs. Could they get up those? She turned to Angelus and pointed, a questioning look on her face.

Runae nodded, mischeif and curoisity often went hand in hand, then looked towards where the little girl was pointing.

Silent rubbed her temples in a clockwise motion. " Well then it's not a funny joke. " She let out a sigh. Maybe she should just accept that it was just a name. That's all. Nothing else. But her body wouldn't let her believe that.

Angelus turned his attention to the obstacle. Hmmmm. Grasping her hand tighter into his, Angelus flapped his wings like he did when he was alone. Slowly, his feet left the floor. He grabbed her other hand, making sure she wouldn't fall. Slowly, he rose into the air and up the flight of stairs.

Demetra's eyes widened at the sight. This was not good. I don't have wings and if I jump up for him... Well, that's not a good idea.Thinking fast, Demetra climbed up the stairs and made sure to stay right underneath the flying misfit. He was in big trouble.

Chao pat Silent's arm. "I know, Gaia's an odd place. We might just have to accept that it'll either be explained or... not."

Aido's eyes grew wide as they lifted off the ground but after a moment she relaxed, though she didn't ease her grip on Angelus' hand for a moment. She smiled happily, looking down on everything, it was so different!

Oh gods... Runae said and quickly follows Demetra, taking up the other side of the stairs with her own bulk incase the two infants fell. What were those two thinking?!

Silent chuckled. " Expect the unexpected, right? I'm not much of a patient person. " she chuckled. She would have to deal with not knowing. For now.

Angelus ferverantly flapped his wings. To his surprise, he stayed at the same height. He didn't tire. He looked down at Aido and smiled at the expression on her face. They were almost to the top of the stairs.

Oh, you're a dead man. Demetra grumbled. Her body was on edge for anything that could happen.

Chao nodded, "mmm, yeah, though sometimes life doesn't cooperate with us, no matter what we want."

Aido looked up, making sure that Angelus was alright. Noting that he was and didn't seem to be tiring much she loked back to the stairs, they were so close to the top.

Runae was just as on edge as Demetra, hackles up, tail like an arrow. Some part of her was surprised that the little boy was doing so well, the other was still baffled by the fact that they'd decided to do this! She and Demetra could have carried them up!

Silent chuckled at statement. " How right you are Chaos. So right.

Angelus finally neared the top of the stairs. Slowly, he lowered Aido making sure that her feet touched the ground before he let go.

Demetra heaved a sigh of relief and with a quick sprint made it up the stairs. You mischief maker. You are in big trouble. she berated Angelus. The boy's eyes started to water. Her demeanor fell slightly. She couldn't deal with kids that cried.

As Aido's feet touched the ground she faltered for a moment before spinning in a circle, scarf whipping behind her. That'd been wonderful!
She turned and frowded at Angelus' expression. "Ang'lus?" she questioned then looked to Demetra. She couldn't hear Demetra's chastising him but she spun around to her anway, as Angelus was looking at her so sadly. Her bi-colored eyes narrowed and she glared fiercely at her then turned hugged Angelus, "than kyu Ang'lus." She was greatful for the ride in the air and she wanted her friend to know it.

Runae sighed in relief as the two touched down and nudged Aido, you need to be careful Aido. You two could have been hurt. She said recieving only a mix of rueful acknowledgement and acceptance from Aido through the telepathic link.

Chao smiled then turned at the sudden patter of paws up the stairs only to see noting that their Tales were now at the top of the stairs. She blinked, "when'd that happen?"

Demetra lowered her head in shame. She didn't mean to be so harsh, she was just worried. Scared. In a softer tone she looked to Angelus. Just... Be careful. Don't do something like that again. Grey eyes looked into brown watery ones.

Angelus thought it was a good idea. No one was going to get hurt. He wouldn't hurt Aido. Not ever. A blush crept upon his features as Aido gave him a hug. He placed his small arms around the girl and closed his eyes. Is this what it felt like to have a friend?

Silent followed Chao's gaze. She cocked her head to the side in confusion. " How did they get up there?" For some reason, she didn't want to know the answer.

Aido's smiled as Angelus returned the hug. But as her eyes wandered to Demetra, her smile faded. She hadn't wanted to hurt her feelings, she just didn't want Angelus to be sad; he'd been so nice to take her with him as he flew after all.
She unhitched one arm and gave Demetra a one armed hug, smiling at her then patted Runae.

"I.. don't know," Chao murmuered, eyes wide. Hey Runae you guys alright?

The Nieken nodded in reply, we're fine.

"Runae says they're fine, should we go get them or just let them continue to explore? After all, Demetra and Runae are with them...."

Angelus wiped his eyes with his free hand and took in a deep breath of air. Everything was ok. Just a misunderstanding. His eyes started to travel around the room. He wanted to explore some more.

Demetra let out a purr as she was given a hug. She was glad the young one understood.

Silent looked to Chao and smiled. " Demetra's a big girl. She'll keep Angelus out of mischief. Hopefully." She chuckled.

Aido smiled, happy that things seemed to have settled down. Her eyes traveled around the hall as well and she let go of Angelus, save his hand. It was dark up here. While some shadows may be friendly, others could be vicious.
With a determined set of her face she set off again, tugging Angelus along with her.

Chao sighed and nodded, "I think they'd end up back up there anyway. Somehow or other." Just don't let them go into any of the locked doors, I know Linny's room is up there but who knows what else.

Runae nodded then set off after the toddlers.

Silent chuckled. " Come now. You know when we were that age, we got ourselves into everything. It's part of growing up."

Angelus held tight onto Aido's hand and followed her into a dark room. For some reason, he felt safe. The shadows comforted him. His eyes quickly adjusted to the lack of light.

Demetra also nodded in understanding and followed the group.

Aido looked about, her halo glowing, dulling to light their way. The lights in the hall seemed to be out. She wasn't scared by the shadows, none of them seemed viscious.
Still, she was happy she wasn't alone. She felt a sense of comfort from the shadows but also a sense of unease.
She gave her head a shake and looked for an open door.

Runae stayed close to the two toddlers, looking about warily, noting the faint claw marks on the walls.

Chao sighed and flopped back into her seat "I know, I can still worry though."

Angelus' eyes squinted at the light from the halo. It was interesting but also frightening. His body seemed to start to heat up but the medallion that laid on his chest cooled him down. Lifting his nose to the air, a strange scent invaded his nostrils. He sniffed the air like an animal. His wings ruffled a bit at the new scent. His senses heightened instantly.

Demetra also noticd the faint claw marks on the walls. Do you wonder what made those? she asked the other beast motioning with her head towards the walls.

Silent chuckled. "That's what being a mom is all about. Worrying." She rolled her eyes at the thought of worrying. Thank god she had Demetra.

Aido could feel Angeuls' hand tense and immediately her halo's light went out and the metal dropped to land atop her head on instinct. She looked back to him, "Ang'lus?"

Runae nodded. Yes, this shop is so old, with so many secrets. It worries me sometimes.

"Bah at motherhood, bah I say!" it was halfhearted though, she loved having Ai even though she'd never intented to have another life under her care. At least she had her brother, and even the other authors to help share in the worring.

A shiver ran up and down Silent's spine. " Is it cold in here or is it just me?" Her hands rubbed her arms in hopes of getting them warm.

Angelus' eyes turned a fierce yellow, but only for an instant. They returned back to their natural brown. He shook his head and looked around him. The feeling was gone. All that was left were the reliable shadows. He squeezed Aido's hand in reassurance.

Demetra tensed at Angelus' actions and then relaxed. She nodded her head at the comment. Many secrets, but I'm not one that enjoys not knowing.she responded.

Aido watched as her friend's eyes changed then returned, holding her posistion steady. Concern evident in her bi-colored eyes, she returned the squeeze but hesistated on moving forward again, looking her friend over her eyes adjusted to the darkness as her halo's light did not return. Making sure he was alright.

Runae cocked her head, curious as to Angelus' breif actions. I do not enjoy not knowing either, but I think the more we explore this place, the more secrets will rise up and fewer still will be answered.

Chao only felt the faintest of chills and it was dispelled quickly. None the less she reached into the bag she carried about and pulled out a small spare blanket and offered it to Silent.

Angelus nodded his head in affirmation. Everything was ok. He was ready. He looked around the top floor to see if any doors were open for adventure.

Demetra noticed the look Runae gave to Angelus. She didn't know what to say so she kept quiet. I agree, but the kids don't seem to think the way we do.

Silent smiled and accepted the blanket. " Thank you. " She didn't think the chill came from a breeze though.

Aido nodded back and looked around, sighting an open door a bit further down the hall. She gestured her head towards it and began to head in it's direction, hand firmly clasping Angelus'.

Mmm, no, but maybe they'll have a better time with the secrets than we will? They did come from this place after all. Runae began to tread after the infants yet again.

Chao nodded and looked towards the ceiling, she was comforted by the fact that Runae would contact her if needbe but there was always a 'what if' crawling about in her mind.

Silent_Crying_Eyes

Silent fell asleep in a hotel room down the street of the stationary shop. Every time she visited the store, she hoped to find the owner. No such luck. Angelus was curled in her embrace, his toy not much farther away. Innocently, he sucked at his thumb, barely mumbling. A smile came upon her lips as she pushed a stray piece of hair behind his ear. Brown eyes opened up at the touch.

" Good evening sleepy head." A gurgle came from the baby's mouth.

Humming along to the music that was streaming from the headphones about her neck Chao watched as Aido's eyes whipped about the starry filled skyscape from their posistion atop an innocent Gaian's roof, only a few houses away from the Stationary Shop. There'd been a meteor shower earlier and, although breif, it'd been something to watch from atop a rooftop.

"Think it's about time to head to the shop Ai? The cold's going to get to us soon."

Aido's bi-colored eyes flickered to her mother's face then back to the starry sky. None of them looked out of place, but there were so many, so how could you tell?
Her attention was snapped away as Chao picked her up and headed for the stairs.

A yawn escaped her lips. Sleeping through the day was the best time to rest, especially for nocturnal creatures like Angelus and herself. A grunt erupted from the foot of the bed. Demetra lay curled asleep. Silent rolled her eyes at the beast. She gave a firm kick to the banthi's behind, but no movement. " Lazy. " Silent muttered. A growl came from the sleeping banthi. Angelus crawled over to Demetra and playfully tugged at her ear. Sleepy eyes opened at a slight tug. " Wakey Wakey sunset." Angelus said. Demetra let out a loud yawn and nearly hogged the whole bed as she stretched her body. Silent let out a chuckle.

" Up and at 'em you two. It's time to go to the shop."

A small pile of snow poof upwards as Chao hopped down the last few steps, slipped on a patch of ice, and fell, landing nicely on her behind, Aido safely in her arms.

Aido giggled softly and patted her now cold and wet mother on the arm as she stood, grumbling unhappily as she trecked her way through the alleyway and onto the street. At least the stationary shop was warm.

Silent got her stuff together and picked up Angelus. The infant cuddled into her chest very quickly. " Those aren't pillows you know. " She joked to the infant. He probably didn't get it. Demetra followed in tow. As she walked down the stairs, she reached the lobby. She quickly paid the owner and walked out into the street. It was dark so there was no use for her cloak. Looking around, she swore she heard a thump of some kind. Shrugging her shoulders, the trio headed for the shop.

The bell jingled softly as Chao pushed open the door then shut it quickly, wiping her boots on the floor as she did so, watching as Runae rushed past. The Nieken had met them at the front of the allyway, acting as something of a watchdog. Being her usual protective self. Aido immediately began to squirm and was quickly set on the Nieken's back as Chao unzipped her jacket. After doing so she followed the two as they browsed the shelves a bit, as it seemed that no one was about as of yet.

Silent let the moon bathe her olive skin. Her features exumed radiance during the evening hours. Angelus' attention turned to the full moon in the sky. If he blinked, then the moon would be gone so he kept his eyes open as long as possible. But he couldn't hold them open forever, so he blinked and was grateful to see the moon in the sky. Demetra stood to the side of Silent and Angelus. A protector of sorts and Silent didn't mind at all. She cared for her dear friend. They finally made it to the door and quickly opened it. The bell jingled their entry. It was much warmer in the store than it was outside.

Runae's ear flickered and swivled as the bell jingled and the new scents wafted in from outside.

Aido's eyes flickered away from the stationary shelves and lurking shadows, but she couldn't see who it was from their posistion, as a nearby shelve blocked the view. Exchanging looks with Runae the Nieken set off towards the main part of the shop, Aido bouncing slightly on her back.

Chao neither heard the bell nor saw Aido and Runae head off as her headphones had settled back on her ears and she was humming along softly, looking at all the different kinds of stationary. For all the time she spent in the shop only a very small portion was spent looking at the merchandise.

Silent looked around the store. Scents filled her nostrils. Chaos, Aido's, and Runae's scents to be exact. She didn't set Angelus down, instead she walked over to a vacant sofa and placed the child upon her lap. Angelus held on to his plushie and took a good look around the store. So many pieces of paper. He wondered what for? Demetra followed in tow. She happily jumped upon the sofa and sat on her hindlegs.

Chao's eyes flickered away from the stationary, only to notice that Aido had dissapeared. Pulling her headphones off her ears she looked about, "Aido!"

As Silent and Angelus came into view a Aido smiled and was about to wave when she heard her mother's voice call her name. "Aemu!" she called back, turning to look behind her, back towards Chao.

Chao was almostly instantly back out in the open, a relieved smile on her face. "You really need to tell me when you're going to wander off Aido," she half heartedly grumbled.

Silent saw Aido and Runae approach them. Angelus had a smile on his face as well. Silent happily bounced the boy on her lap. His wings flapped in enjoyment. Demetra watched the whole scene and could only chuckle to herself. Two pairs of brown eyes sprang to look at the protective mother.

" Kids will be kids. I'm thinking about getting a leash for mine. " She joked to Chaos.

Chao ran a hand through her hair, "a leash would certainly be helpful, though, knowing Ai, she'd just find a way out of it." She smiled and chuckled, "how're you Silent?"

Aido simply smiled and waved to Angelus, seemingly oblivious to her mother's worries about her habit of wandering off.

Silent laughed. " I know what you mean. Kids can find their way out of anything." She laid back against the back of the couch. Her body became nestled in the cushions. " I'm good. Bringing Angelus home as been... Entertaining to the say the least. " She laughed at the memory of the first night she brought the Tale home to meet the family. Interesting indeed.

Angelus waved back with his plushie in hand. He was comfortable in Silent's lap. He patted her left knee inviting Aido over.

Chao made her way over to a seat, feeling the vague need to actually watch her daughter, feeling guilty/unnerved that the little girl could slip off so easily.
"Seems like it," she squirmed until she found a comfortable posistion then relaxed against the cushions. "Interesting, hn? How so?" the only family she'd had to tell was her brother, though that'd been an interesting experience in itself she supposed.

Runae trotted over and Aido scrambled up onto the couch then onto Silent's lap next to Angelus, squirming a bit to get comfortable. Idly she looked about the store, taking it in from a new perspective.

Silent looked down at the many children accompanying her leg. " She's not shy is she?" she chuckled. Silent turned her attention to Chaos. " Well, the occupants at my house have not dealt with children ever. So their reactions were priceless to say the least. And his wings didn't help. The twins wanted to play with Angelus as if her were some bird. Asking him to sing them pretty songs. They're not all there in the head. " She laughed. Poor Angelus was nearly scared to death of the females. He didn't see a man in the house. Yet.

Angelus smiled at Aido and pointed to the many pieces of parchment that were placed among the shelves. It fascinated him to no end.

"There are times I'm happy I only have my brother to deal with, and all the animalia of course," she gave Runae a pat.

Aido nodded, it fascinated her too, but most of the store fascinated her as well. So many things just waiting to be found or explored.

Silent smiled at the statement. " I take in orphans. I don't have blood siblings. And I definately agree about the animal quota. It's like living in a zoo with so many fascinating creatures." She nodded.

Angelus delved into his pocket and retrieved a pendant. The pendant had Aido's Zodiac sign on it, but he didn't know that. He thought the design was nice and wanted to give it to her. He held out his hand with her gift laying on his palm. He hoped she liked it.

"MMmm, it's hard to leave other being's alone when they have no where to go," she had a weakness for lost and alone things, but didn't everyone?

Aido peered at the pendant curiously, running a small finger over the marking, tracing it. It took her a moment to realize that it was, in fact, a gift to her, not just something interesting Angelus was showing her. She took it and held it carefully in her hand, before smiling softly. "Than'kyu Ang'lus," her smile melted into a grin and hugged him happily.

Chao smiled, she needed to start to carry around a camera, too many cutes moments were not being caught on film.

Angelus' first time coming home February 14, 2005. Note: The RP events in this tome, will go much faster then the journal entries. FYI. So, introducing characters will be shown through RP and I will put the events in this log. 3nodding

Silent briefly had taken Angelus home once, but that didn't really count as an exception of his first time being home. Both Silent and the boy had been traveling for weeks on end. Staying in a small hotel that was placed near the stationary shop she had found him.

Traveling down the leaf ridden path, Angelus clung to Silent as she held him in her arms. The manor was within eye distance.

" We're almost there." She whispered to the frightened boy. Angelus' wings flapped incessantly. He was going home. Home.

Silent expertly passed through the many obstacles the forest laid. Pass the dense bushes, curving around the large trunks, until the horizon appeared before her. Home peaked over the horizon. It's haunting look forced strangers away leaving her family at peace. Never judge a book by its cover she always said. The inside was the exact opposite of its surface. Angelus huddled into Silents embrace. His gaze turned towards the house. Fear crept into his bones. It didn't look like a nice place to live. He didn't want to go. Suddenly his body started to flail. He wouldn't go. No way!

Silent stopped in her tracks and tightened her hold on the child.

" Hey! It's okay! You're safe!" But the words did no good. He continued to fight himsel out of her embrace.

"Jacklyn!" Silent screamed out. A large bang of a closing door echoed in the air. A red headed woman came sprinting out of the house. She neared Silent and stopped in her tracks at the sight of the child.

" Mummy. Why did you bring another one?" The woman cried in a childish tone.

Silent rolled her eyes at Jacklyn used to the womans actions. " Help me! His fighting like a banshee." Jacklyn huffed but did as she was instructed. She neared the boy and lowered her lips to his ear. An ethereal song escaped her lips.

Angelus froze. He never heard anything so beautiful in his life. A smile came upon the red heads lips as the boys movements ceased. " See? All better." she nodded.

Silent rolled her eyes once again. If only it were that easy. " Come Jacklyn. Let's make him feel at home." Jacklyn walked to the side of Silent as they neared the broken down home. Opening the door, the inside was breathtaking.

Polished wooden floors gleamed under oriental rugs. A grandfather clock was situated at the end of the hallway. The tick tock of it echoed down the corridor. The living room greeted the viewer with the image of a stone fireplace. Velvet furniture encircled the element. Cherry wood tables were set next to a sofa. Electricity did not exist in the home. Candles and torches littered the home. A vampires home for sure.

A screech echoed through the house. Frenchie stormed towards the two women and boy. " What is this?" she asked in her deep french accent. She motioned with a duster towards Angelus.

Silent narrowed her eyes at the woman and a evil came to her lips. " Say hello to your little brother frenchie." The maid shook her head from side to side. " No no no. There are already too many people in this house. I will not tolerate it. " She threw down her duster on the floor and crossed her arms in a huff.

Angelus only flapped his wings in shyness. Who were all these people?

Jacklyn giggled into her hand. Frenchie was silly. " Little brother, little brother, little brother." the redhead started to sing.

Silent only shook her head. The people around here were really going to screw this kid up. Jacklyn stopped her singing and took another look at the boy. " What's his name?" she asked the vampire.

Silent nearly forgot to introduce the child. She wondered what expressions the girls would give when they heard the name. " Angelus." She whisperd.

Both Frenchie and Jackly let out a gasp. " Angelus?" Jacklyn choked out. That name hadn't been spoken in ages. It was sacred among her kind. Angelus. She took another look at the child. Black wings. A fallen angel. A smile came to her lips. Thoughts ran through her head. " Demon with the face of an angel."

Angelus didn't like the way the woman described him, except she wasn't describing the child. She described the man who held the name first. No words left the maids lips. Silent only nodded her understanding. She knew.

Quietly, she took the child upstairs to the second floor. Walking into one of the guest rooms, a large sleigh bed was situated in the middle of the room. A vanity desk placed on one side of the ball. A nightstand laid near the bed. That was all that was in the room. Heavy linen curtains covered the window. No light came in. On the nightstand, laid a small lamp. Walking over to the small table, Silent flicked the light on. Angelus surveyed the room.

" Sorry. I don't have a nursery, but you seem much to big to be put in a crib." The child seemed to understand her words. Nodding his head, he let the woman settle him down upon the plush comforter. Before he knew it, he fell into a deep sleep.

Silent nestled the blanket over his small form, making sure his plushie was by his side. She wiped away a stray strand of hair from his face. And before she could stop herself, lowered her head and placed a kiss upon his forehead. The child stirred slightly and went still.

" Welcome home." She whispered. Rising from the bed, she walked out of the room and gently closed the door behind her.

He'd meet the twins and everyone else at a later time.

As soon as Angelus closed his eyes, images flooded his mind. But a scene that stook out the most was a man, wrapped in barbed wire, writhing underneath a heart. Angelus woke up in a cold sweat. What was that? He looked around. A piece of paper with the image in his dream laid at the foot of his bed. What the? Looking around, he tried to see if he could spot the intruder. Nothing. He looked at the picture. What did it mean? He looked towards the night stand. No. Silent would find it. Slowly, lowering himself to the floor, he stuffed the picture underneath the mattress. Better. He climbed up the bed and huddled under the covers. He went to bed hoping for no more nightmares.

Silent nearly chased the boy. Angelus flew into the air as soon as Silent walked upon the sidewalk that would lead them to the Stationary shop.

" Get back here you little rascal!" And not too far behind was his pet raven, Darkness. He named him, not her. Demetra followed the anxious duo.

Angelus expertly zipped through the shops door and effortlessly landed on top of a bookcase. Darkness perched upon Angelus' shoulder and let out a caw.

Silent and Demetra were close behind.

Brown eyes and black eyes scanned the veranda below. Angelus noticed a blue girl. His eyebrows knitted together in confusion. Blue? For some reason, it seemed odd. Darkness cawed in greeting. Angelus' flapped his wings in curiousity. He nodded his head but no words left his lips.

Silent looked around in hysteria. Where did he go? At the sound of a caw her gaze traveled towards the top of a bookcase. She shook her head at the sight.

" What am I going to do with you?" she mumbled.

The bell to the stationary shop jangled softly as Aido pushed it opened, helped idly by a teenage boy, who looked rather like a rather masculine version of Chao. Same dark hair and grey eyes, probably the same age as well, just... male.
"Alright, alright Ai, we're here, are you happy now?"

Aido spun where she was and smiled at her uncle, "thank'yu Unc'Rico!"

Vidya leaned her head to the side, focusing both of her white eyes on the winged boy and the crow. While she had good eyesight, her shortness made it hard for her to see all of his features...but she did like his wings. And his bird. She'd have to tell him that once he got down.

Giggling, Vidya plunked herself down onto her butt, swaying a bit in boredom. It wasn't fun to play with a boy who wouldn't come down from a bookshelf! Oh well, she could wait.

Enoh had lifted her head, turning her gaze towards the boy on the bookshelf, then back at the woman who was obviously his mother, considering the way she was acting. Chuckling softly, she waved.

"Hey there. Looks like you've got a troublemaker for a son."

For some reason, Tybalt came to mind with those words.

Hearing the bell, Vidya's head jerked to the side, those white eyes widening. Hopping to her feet, she threw her arms into the air.

"AIII! Hiya!"

Angelus' attention turned from the blue girl to Aido. For the first time in a while, a real emotion was expressed on his face. A smile played on his lips as his wings flapped incessantly.

" Aido." He said aloud instead of using his telepathic abilities. He started to learn being more verbal got him to be understood more, but now and then he would send a message through telepathy.

Darkness cocked his head in curiousity. He clicked his beak in confusion.

Silent looked towards the door as the bell rang to introduce an arrival. Silent waved to Aido, knowing the child well, but the man at the door was a stranger. Brown eyes glittered with mischief and curiousity.

"And you are?" she implied with a flick of her hand towards the gentleman. Her head swiveled at the womans comment. A chuckle escaped her lips. " That he is." Her gaze went back to the top of the bookshelf.

Aido turned at the soft flapping of wings and the call of her name sounded. Catching sight of her friend a soft smile flickered onto her face. "Ang'lus!" she waved happily, rushing over to the base of the bookshelf.
"N'Viddy!" she waved to the blue skinned girl as well before her attentions flickered back to Angelus. She frowned and looked at the bookshelf curiously, wondering if she could climb it....

Rico didn't respond for a moment, having not actually noticed that the question was directed towards himself. He'd never seen Aido interact with another Tale.
The hand flick caught his eye though and he gestured towards himself, "oh, my name's Rico," he nudged his head in Aido's direction, "I'm Ai's uncle. It's nice to meet you Miss...?"

Angelus stood up on his two legs and looked down at the two girls on the bottom. Slowly, he flapped his wings, and started to hover in the air. He saw Aido's actions. He didn't want her to climb up for him. She might hurt herself. Instead, he gracefully floated towards the ground and landed in front of the two girls. Darkness quickly flew down and perched himself upon Angelus' shoulder. He seemed to be the boys familiar in a sense.

" Arent all kids troublemakers?" she smiled at the female and then her gaze went back to her son.

Brown eyes turned her attention from the boy to the man. They glittered with mischief. Taking a slight bow, a brown tendril of hair fell from her bun falling over her left eye. A smile graced her lips. " Silent. My name is Silent and that is Angelus." She pointed towards the winged boy. " Sorry, but no offense. I've never heard anything about you from Chao. Are you her brother?"

Rico sighed and nodded his head, "yes, we're twins. I'm not in this part of Gaia all that often, I think that's why she doesn't mention me that much...."

For a moment Aido was a bit dissapointed, she wouldn't have minded getting to see what lay atop the shelf. But the dissapointment was forgotten in a moment as Darkness landed and perched on Angelus' shoulder.
For a moment she simply eyed it before nodding her head down in what could be called a breif bow, inspired by Silent's bow a moment before. Waving to a bird wouldn't be fair after all, it was harder for them to wave back.

Darkness eyed the smaller girls movements. Her bow made his pride rise. Darkness spread out his wings and did a sort of hop on Angelus' shoulder. Maybe the girl was worthy enough of his attention. Angelus knew exactly what Darkness was thinking and rolled his eyes at the familiar. Hey, if mom could do it why couldn't he? She did it enough. Angelus showed more expressions and emotions every day. No longer was his face a blank slate for the world.

Silent raised an eyebrow at the man. " Twins. Hmm... Interesting." Slowly, she circled the man. Looking at him from top to bottom. Her index finger rested on her lips. " Well, you don't know what you're missing if you don't come to this part of down. You should stop by more often." She winked at Rico. Was she flirting? No one knows. Silent was naturally a flirtatious upbeat sensual person. To males and females alike. It's probably because she was a vampire. Weren't they sexual creatures initially?

Aido giggled, oblivious to the exchange between the two as she held up a small hand and stroaked over Darkness' feathers gently.
With her free hand she pointed to herself, "Ai," then to Darkness. Her bi-colored gaze flickered from him to Angelus curiously, wondering what she was to call the black bird.

Rico watched her as she circled him, seemingly relaxed, dispite being under the scrutinizing gaze of the vampiress. At her comment he chuckled, "I'll make sure to try my hardest to stop by again then." It was a serious comment actually, he liked the calm, safe environment that the shop held and the cheerful energy the child Tales seemed to radiate, as most children would if they were in such a place.

Angelus looked to Darkness. The bird loved the attention. He gave out a sort of snort. Spoiled thing. Noticing Aido's look his eyes widened in understanding. He pointed to his crow.

" Darkness. " He looked to his familiar and sent telepathically. Be nice you old cout. This is Aido. She's very nice. The bird just eyed Angelus and continued to preen at the attention given to him from the child.

Silent chuckled and clasped her hands together. " Ah. There then. And being Aido's uncle, I'm sure you're great with children just like Chao." She raised an eyebrow at Rico. Swiflty, she turned around and headed for the emtpy couch. Crossing her legs, her skirt glided across her thighs. Silent took in a breath of unneeded air. Her arms laid over the arm rest and back of the couch. " Children are just full of mischief."

"Darkness...." Aido said slowly, tasting the new name, smiling at Darkness' obvious pleasure at being pet.
A small nudge akin to the feeling of a cool breeze at the back of her mind had her gaze flickering to her shadow. Rael wanted to meet the boy and bird?
She looked to Angelus and smiled shyly, "Ang'lus'n'Darkness wanna meet Rael?" she hadn't introduced the Shadow to anyone yet....

"I never thought I'd have to think of Chao as a mother," Rico shook his head, still not really able to think about it without feeling bizaree. He moved and sat down in a free chair, blowing a piece of stray hair away from his eyes, "I don't know about being wonderful with children, but I do admire them in a way, and Aido doesn't seem to hate me...."
He paused, he'd never really thought about being good with children before glancing back to Silent and chuckling, "mischief huh? Isn't that part of being a child?"

Angelus cocked his head to the side. Who was Rael? His wings flapped incessantly and Darkness mirrored his anxiousness, but Angelus nodded. Curiosity got the better of him.
Silent smiled at Rico and his testament. " Children are just... Children. Mischief seems to be part of growing up." she chuckled as memories flashed before her eyes of Angelus. That boy was Mischief with a capital M.

Aido fidgeted slightly at the unease Angelus and Darkness conveyed but knelt by her shadow all the same.

With a deep breath she brought her hand over it, motioning it upward, acting on instict. Rael usually just showed up, according to the breif emotions she could pick up, the small action helped immensely.
Her shadow quivered a portion of it sliding up into a globu;ar form before twitching and stretching out until it's shape was long and vaguely feline. Two golden eyed blinked open it sat back just as Aido sat back with a sigh, panting softly.
It was harder when she had to try at it but she gestured to the shadow beast all the same with a soft smile, "Rael."

Rico smiled and settled back against the chair, "it's probably better for it to be part of growing up, then it's possible to learn to moderate it."

Angelus watched in wonder and amazement. He never seen anyone handle shadows. That took immense power. Angelus bit his lip and looked at Darkness. The bird huffed. Darkness knew what the boy was thinking. Was he ready though? Angelus knelt down and gazed at the feline figure. Angelus looked to Darkness and nodded his head. He would show Aido. Darkness hopped from his perch atop Angelus. His form seemed to evaporate in the spot and in its place was an exact replica of the feline. Darkness was a gift from, what momm called, the unmentioned. No one said his name. Darkness was a shapeshifter but the familair prefered the crow form. Angelus hesitantly brought a hand out towards the shadow. He wondered if it would be ok to touch the form.

Silent chuckled and rested her head against the cushions. " It probably is the best thing though. Without mischief, the world wouldn't be a fun place." Silent briefly glanced at Angelus noticing Darkness take on a different form. She shook her head. Why did the master give Angelus Darkness? She didn't understand, but she didn't question. Yet.

Aido sighed in relief and lent against her hands. She was happy Darkness and Angelus were peering closer, instead of shunning away, as she'd nearly expected them too.

Rael peered up towards the other feline and seemed to smile, angeling his form towards the Angelus' hand, and rubbing it along the boy's fingers, tiny tendrils of excess shadow lacing about Angelus' fingers. He felt like a mixture of solidity and...not. Instead of warmth he radiated a cool feeling, like a fall breeze.

Rico nodded and glanced back towards the two children himself, taking in the sight of the two feline's with no other reaction save a raised eyebrow as he breifly wondered where they'd come from.

Angelus twirled his fingers along the tendrils of shadow. His hand softly glided along the feline's surface. The cool touch against his fingertips sent goosebumps up his arms, but a smile laced his lips. The shadow amazed him. Rael. He sent out. He wonder if the form would respond to the connection.

Darkness transformed himself back into the Crow. He hopped towards Aido cawing for attention. He flapped his wings in greeting towards the shadow. He had seen others like Rael, but the other's did not need to know that. He wanted to be petted again.

Silent smiled at Rico's reactions. Clearing her throat she thought of another question. " So... Rico... Are you single?" They always said curiosity killed the cat. Well, she wasn't a cat. A smile graced her lips as she waited for the answer.

The feline turned towards him, golden eyes alight with intelligence but only a vague feeling of curoisity was sent through the connection instead of 'true' words. Whether the shadow was or was not capable of them... well, Rael was probably the only one who knew.

Aido laughed as Darkness came back, clamoring for attention, immediately beginning to stroke over his feathers. "Darkness change too, huh?" she asked. Khia could change, so could Rael, and Darkness. She couldn't help but be intrigued, and joyful.

Rico blinked away from the children, "well, yes. I suppose I am." He usually didn't stay in one place long enough to become taken.

Angelus received the feeling of curiosity instead of words. Maybe the form was empathic. Mom told him about empathic beings. Those that could feel and convey emotions instead of using words. A smile came to his lips as his hand moved to scratch the figure behind its ears. Angelus turned his gaze from the feline to Aido. He smiled and nodded. Darkness changes, yes. He's a shapeshifter. He even turns into me. Throws mom into fits. He sent to her. The sentence was too long to say verbally.

A chirp escaped the birds beak as he molded his body into the girls fingers. The crows eyes turned a brief red then went back to their hallow black.

Silent's smile broadened at his expression. " Really? Why? I know you travel. Is it because of your job?" she wondered.

Aido blinked at the odd feeling of Darkness actually molding into her fingers, it wasn't bad, just new, she didn't even cease the stroking movement as she examined the feeling.
She turned towards Ang'lus and giggled at the image her mind conjoured up of two Angelus'.
Even as she laughed she was getting tired and feeling strained. Her bi-colored eyed flickering over to meet Rael's breifly.

Rael let out a low purr before twining about Angelus' fingers before the the shadow moves back back towards the centralized part of Aido's shadow, seeming to simply meld back into it with one fluid like motion.

Aido sighs and smiles, feeling the strain lighten as Rael moved away from physical form.

Rico nods, "mmmhmmm.I'm surprised I've been in this part of Gaia for over two months now...."

Angelus' fingers hung limply in the air watching as Rael went back to Aido. The form disappeared as quickly as it appeared. Sitting indian style, Angelus stretched his arms above his head and his wings followed the action. A pop resonated. Relief flooded his being. Mom did it, he didn't see why he couldn't. Then the thought occured to him. He used his mom for a lot of things. He shrugged his shoulders. She was smart and knowledgeable, so half the stuff she did couldn't be that bad.

Darkness molded back into his more solid form of the crow. His wings flapped in thanks and he flew into the air towards Silent.

Silent nodded her head. " Don't worry. I'm everywhere. I don't stay in one spot too long, but somehow I always manage to wind back here." She motioned with her hand around the shop. As her hand was out Darkness gracefully landed upon her fingers. The woman cocked her head at the bird. Brown eyes gazed into black ones. Her eyes flashed a fierce yellow and returned to their natural color. No words were said. Darkness just started to preen himself as Silent turned to Rico. " Two months doesn't seem so long. You have enough time." she nodded her head.

Aido scooted over and lent against Angelus, one hand mindlessly stroking his feathers as she looked at him curiously, "Ang'lus like Rael?"

Rico watched the exchange but made no indication that he'd actually seen it, or was bothered by it. Truth be told he was simply slightly desensitized when it came to what some would consider bizaree happenings. "Enough time for what?"

Angelus creased his forehead in confusion at the question. Why would Aido think that? He nodded his head. " I like Rael. Rael is... Different. Like Darkness." He said outloud. His wings stilled at the action. No one ever touched his wings except for Silent.

Silent chuckled. " Enough time to find one then. Two months is just the beginning. You'll find yourself coming here more and more." she nodded. Silent had been around Gaia long enough to know that things take time or come all at once. Gaia had no rules to its existence. It was just there.

A soft flush made it's way over Aido's face ashe she felt Angelus' wing still and she let her hand fall, shuffling her feet slightly as she nodded. "Tha's good...." she murmered softly.

Rico cocked an eyebrow at Silent, the woman puzzeled him. But still.... "I'd like to stay here, watch Ai, meet more people. It'd be nice."

Angelus watched the emotions that passed over Aido's face. It intrigued him how many facial expressions the human face entailed. He liked Aido's prescence near him. He didn't want her to stop. It felt... Nice. " Rael is nice. Really nice." he nodded.

Silent recrossed her legs to a much more comfortable position. " Meeting new people is always fun. Especially the demonic and the angelic. Now when those kind come together." She whistled. " Now they make a party." She chuckled. Her brown eyes looked into Rico's. " Who's the strangest person you've ever met?" she asked.

Aido nodded again, venturing a glance back over at Angelus and smiled softly.

Rico blinked, "really? I've never actually witnessed it. Only the pompous rich and the surpressed poor, as cliche as that sounds."
At her question he paused and seemed to think, "strangest? I really don't know actually...."

Angelus returned the smile and bumped shoulders with Aido in a playful way. His wings flapped in humor.

Silent cocked her head at the tone. " You really haven't met the mass population of Gaian's then have you? You really don't know what you're missing out on." she smiled. " Ok. Not strangest. How about the most intriguing? " she ventured.

Her smile widened, and she bumped back.

"Didn't I tell you I don't venture into this part of gaia often?" he asked, his tone light.
"Most intriguing? Nope, don't know that one either. Most people I've met are intriguing in one way or another."

Angelus chuckled as she bumped back. He looked at the bookcase he flew down upon. Silent started to teach him how to read. Even though his first book to read was the bible of the vampires, so his standard of reading was slightly more advanced than those of his age. He looked back to Aido and pointed to her and then himself. " Me and You. We are friends, right?" He wanted to make sure that their friendship was not one sided.

Silent chuckled. " Like I said. You don't know what you're missing. You must stop by more often. I insist." She nodded her head in affirmation. " If need people, I'll take you out and show you my part of town." Her eyes glittered with excitement at the prospect.

Aido giggled as the bump was returned but at the questiom her laughter died and she peered at him, puzzeled.
"O'course!" She paused, "unless Ang'lus no want friends...?" Her face displayed her concern at that prospect. Angelus was the first to explore with her, to see Rael, weren't they friends...?

"I'll be sure to." At the prospect of seeing more of the town he smiled, "that'd be wonderful."

Angelus' eyes widened. He didn't mean it that way. " No. We are friends. Best friends." He smiled in reassurance. He's the only person he ever showed his true self too. He clasped her hand in his. " Best friends." He repeated.

Silent smiled and nodded. " Good. So clear your calendar, because you and me. Boy, am I going to take you places." she chuckled.

Aido's shoulder's dropped in relief, she squeezed his hand and lent her head on his shoulder, scarf slipping into his lap. "Best friends."

" I'll make sure to keep it clear," he paused brow creasing in thought, "maybe, sometime, Angelus could come over to my and my sis' place and we could go to these places?" He looked over to the two Tales and smiled.

With his free hand, Angelus twirled the material between his fingertips. " Nice. Where did you get it?" Brown eyes gazed into bi-colored ones. The medallion against his chest cooled his skin.

Silent nodded. " I am sure Angelus would like that. Aido is the only other Tale that Angelus is close to. That way we can all go out and have fun. It'd be nice to all go out together. I hope we're not intruding." she asked. Darkness was perched upon the couch and continued to bathe himself by preening his wings.

Aido shrugged, "it always with Ai." It'd been there when she'd met Linny for the first time and that was as far back as she could remember.

"I think Ai would too," the two tales were cute with one another and the interaction soothed any odd parental distress Rico had [irrationally, he admitted] felt about who Aido was interating with. "We don't get visitors often, and it'd be nice. Chao might even be more content with babysitting, depending on the night."

Angelus nodded in understanding. The clothes on his back were the clothes that he wore when he met Silent. But before that meeting he couldn't remember much else. Images flashed in his dreams, but they weren't dreams. They were nightmares. Silent kept a journal for him and logged everything he could remember. He didn't think he wanted to remember anything before the stationary shop but a part of him wanted to know. Needed to know.

Silent smiled. " Good. Then it's a date." She said casually. She hoped Chao didn't mind just babysitting.

At the slight emotion that flickered onto Angelus' face Aido gave his hand another squeeze and yawned softly.

Rico returned the smile, eached into his bag and rumaged around for a spare piece of paper and a writing utencil. Finding both after a moment he jotted down a number and an adress then held it out to Silent, "just call sometime, 'kay?" Glancing over to Aido and Angelus he chuckled, "seems it's starting to get late."

Angelus smiled and squeezed her hand back.

Silent uncrossed her legs and held out her hand retrieving the paper from his fingertips. " How about I give you a call tomorrow night? Up for it?" She looked to the kids and smiled. " Getting late? On the contrary. The day is just starting. Well, for me and Angelus it is. This is our day time. " She looked to Angelus and noticed his demeanor. His wings flapped incessantly with restless energy. Both of them were norcturnal creatures which Silent was thankful for. Angelus was feeling the nights energy creep into his body and she could tell.

"Hmmm... maybe not tommarow. Would thursday or friday work?" he asked while trotting over to where Aido sat, picking up the little girl gently.

Aido was the opposite of Angelus, sleep was already tugging at her and her eyes were beginning to drift closed. She was spent after helping Rael.
As Rico picked her up she yawned and snuggled into his arms, waving one hand towards Angelus. "Bai Ang'lus...."

Silent nodded. " Thursday sounds good. I guess I'll see you then. " She nodded as she stood up on two legs and walked over to the duo picking Angelus up. The boy huddled into Silent's embrace and let out a sigh. This was nice. Darkness flew over and perched upon Silents shoulder. He would not be forgotten.

Angelus smiled as he saw Aido yawn. He was restless with energy and he couldn't wait to go back home and play with the other members of his family who got to stay up at night like he did. He waved back to Aido. " Night Aido. Sleep tight."

Silent_Crying_Eyes

Silent made sure the cloak hid her features from the light. Angelus was huddled inside of the material. He didn't appreciate this time of day either. Walking down the cobblestone path, Silent neared the stationary shop. Finally making it up the mini hill, Silent used her shoulder to open the door. The bell rang at their arrival.

Carrying a box of various knick knacks under an arm, Akiya wandered down the same path to get to the shop. He had to admit to himself that he was a loser owner to be. Well, he wouldn't call it an ownership. To be lucky enough to be welcomed to the place was making him rather giddy. Normally, he did not wander about this early. It was not his cup of tea. Yay another thing to slap on his "Things that made him Un-angelic princeling like" list! Stretching out his back a bit, he saw someone heading in just before him.

"Huh... another vampire.." He called all night people vampire, including himself. After he shifted his box, he entered a bit after, the bell pleasing to hear, his long ears shifting.

His eyes took a bit to adjust to being out of the sun and Angelus noticed that they turned from dark brown to a light ice blue. Seeing them, he bowed his head politely. "Greetings.." Rubbing at his right ear, which ws heavily tattoo'd, he set his box down and stretched. He was thankful this place w asbig, cause he was rather tall at almost eight feet. "I don't think I've had the pleasure of meeting you before. I am called Akiya. And you are?"

As he waited for them to reply, he took up his way too long white hair and worked on braiding it thickly so it wouldn't be so much of an issue later on. The heat hadn't even bothered him all that much, cause he wore light clothing so he wasn't too badly affected by it.

Silent eyed the man curiously. She greeted the stranger with a smile and offered her hand. " Hello Akiya. I'm Silent. This here is Darkness." She motioned to the crow situated in her shirt.

Angelus made himself known. He slowly padded over to the man. Wow. He was tall. His wings flapped slightly in curiousity. " Angelus." He greeted. The man had cool eyes. How did he do that.

"Pleasure." He kept the faint smile off his face. "I feel for you to have such a pet, Miss Silent." Taking her hand, he shook it politely before he inclined his head to Angelus. "Nice to meet you as well." He had wings, all angels did, but they were hidden,t he only mark showing he had them were matching wing tattoos on his back. But it ws hidden by his shirt. "So you two come here often?" Oh my that was rather lame of him, but Akiya wasn't known for his people skills...

Silent eyed the bird briefly and turned her attention back to the man nodding her head. " Actually. Yes. This is Angelus' second home." She chuckle. Her knee high boot cladded leg crossed over her left one. She was thankful for the lack of clothing that she wore. Her skin seemed to feel like it was on fire. Stupid cloak.

Angelus cocked his head at the stranger. He was different. Not like the others. He chewed his bottom lip in contemplation. Fingering the cross adorning his neck, he took in the man's full form. Puffing out his chest, he tried to mimic the mans stance, but his 2 foot short frame did nothing.

"Ah I see. So Angelus is like the others I've been seeing about here. I've come here looking for a special Tome myself. I got an odd note saying that I am to recieve one soon.. so I'm eagerly awaiting it." Seeing how Angelus was trying to copy how he stood, he smiled gently down at him and knelt down so he was closer. "so you have wings too? You know how to fly yet, little one?"

Silent nodded her head. " There are many others of these children. All coming from Tomes. You received a note? At least you got a heads up. Angelus was a surprise. A nice one at that." She smiled at the winged boy.

Angelus eagerly flapped his wings at the question. He usually flew everywhere, so he had the hang of using his wings. Now he was trying to learn some aerial acrobats the birds out of his windows were able to do. Slolwy, his body raised itself from the ground. He floated only a couple of inches off the floor.

"Heh well not many can actually reach me where I live, so it was a bit of a surprise within itself to get it. Not that it makes me any less happy." Seeing him flay pleased him and he smiled happily. "You loat rather well! You're well on your way to full flight!"

a loud thump suddenly sounded from the box, causing Akiya to tilt his head. Loud angry muffled sounds were heard and he sighed. "oh, please tell me he didn't get stuck in there again..."

" You won't be disappointed. I know that for sure. " Silent nodded in affirmation. She couldn't help but smile at the two males. Angelus loved to show off sometimes. Her attention went to thumping box. " What's that?" she asked.

Angelus smiled at the compliment and his attention turned to the box. Small fingers reached out in curiousity.

Darkness eyed the small group from his place in Silent's shirt.

The box kept thumping insistantly before it finally fell over and opened, a tiny figure of blue rolling onto the ground. "Ouch!" The little Kun Kun got up carefully and dusted himself off. "Mean box!" He mock kicked it.

"I warned you about falling into it, Hanai... This is my friend, Hanai. He tagged along with me while I went shopping.. he knows what cute things I should buy.. I'm not good at it, myself."

Silent looked down at the small blue figure. " Awwww. He's so cute." She cooed.

Angelus just cocked an eyebrow at the creature. Cute? Silent called it cute. Hmmm... He floated back to the floor and inspected the figure some more.

Hanai blinked as someone a lot bigger than him got in his face. He wasn't a very big creature, so even a kid towered over him. Looking up, he backed away a bit. "Um..."

Akiya let Angelus investigate the Kun. it wasn't often he and Hanai went out together to do anything. Mainly cause of time schedules and whoever was hogging Hanai at the moment. "Be careful with him, neh? He's small, it's terribly easy to lose him. Have you never seen a Kun Kun before?"

Angelus stilled his footsteps when he saw the smaller creature back away. He meant no harm. Looking up at the tall man, he nodded his head in understanding. " Okay." He kneeled down on the floor, making himself shorter. " Hello."

The Kun tilted his head carefully at this boy and after a bit, he relaxed. It didn't seem like he wasn't about to try to see if he was a fly of some sort. His wings fluttered a bit as he dipped into a bow politely. "Hello, it's a pleasure to meet you. My name's Hanai."

It had taken the longest to teach him english, mainly cause he only knew his own language and Zy only knew so much of it. But now that he now knew English, it was much easier for them to get along.

Angelus smiled and tried to bow from his kneeling position. " Angelus." He meant to say that was his name, but he didn't like to talk in full sentences verbally. My name is Angelus. he sent to the smaller creature. Angelus looked up at the man. " What's Kun Kun?" he looked to the man as well as the small creature for an answer.

"To put it simply, that's what his race is called. Oh, hide all shiny things from him. He's rather addicted.." Hanai opened his mouth to openly deny it, but Akiya pulled out a golden locket that he always wore, and the Kun was immediately trying to get it. "What was that now?"

"Fiiine, I am... >>" Hanai understood the mentally sent message and smiled. "You have a nice name, Angelus... You have lovely wings... my master has white ones... how come your's are black?"

Angelus couldn't help but laugh out loud as Hanai's attention was turned to the shiny locket. Angelus' right hand came to the medallion on his chest. He tucked it in his shirt so as to not tempt the midget.

Angelus stopped smiling and chewed on his bottom lip. I'm a fallen angel. That's what I've been told. That's what the voices tell me. A demon with the face of an angel. Angelus never fully understood what that meant, but he would find out when he was older. He smiled at the smaller persons comment. Thank you. he blushed at the compliment of his name. White wings? Really? Angelus knew something was different about the man.
Hanai gave a happy nod at that. "Mmmhm! He's an angel." Akiya felt his ear twitch at that but Hanai ignored it. To him it wasn't something to be ashamed of. Sometimes, he wished he was bigger like his Master. "A fallen one..? I've heard of them..."

"You shouldn't be so nosey, it's not kind." He tugged gently on his wings, making them flutter again. "Forgive him.. he's a very curious being." His eyes had caught the boy moving his medallion and he kept his chuckle to himself. It was a good idea to keep that hidden, or else the Kun would be trying to trade for it. That was just the kind of creature he was.

Angelus' eyes widened. You've heard of them? What are they? Angelus knew minimal about the statement " Fallen Angel." Maybe the midget would be able to help him?

Angelus brown eyes turned to the tall man. He smiled. Curiosity wasn't a bad thing. He was curious all the time. Angelus looked down at his bracelets. The silver buckles that lined the material were shiny as well, but he couldn't do anything about that.

Darkness could hear the conversation between the midget and the boy. This wasn't good. Master wouldn't like the boy knowing soo much. So, flapping his wings, he rose from Silents shirt and perched himself on top of Angelus' shoulder. He sent the midget a death glare. Some things were meant to stay hidden.

Feeling the intense gaze of something on him, he looked up and noticed that the bird had decided to stop being pervy and was looking at him. A brow jacked up in confusion. What the hell was its issue? Was it sick? "I've heard of them, sure... but I dun know a lot on them as of yet. Master doesn't like such deep probing into his race's background." Nodding, cause it was the truth, he stuck his tongue at the bird.

Ah, so the boy was meant to learn on his own. Harsh, but the best way to learn sometimes. For someone who had gone through just that all his life, he understood how frustrating it could be to find someone who knew.. but he couldn't, or wouldn't give up the info one sought.

Darkness had no problem eyeballing the smaller creature. The birds form rippled into an exact replica of the smaller creature. The shapeshifter was much older than most of the people in the room, but only a few knew that. His eyes glowed a blood red and returned to Hanai's natural color. He mimiced the mimics immature action, sticking his tongue right back at him.

Angelus sent a harsh glare towards his familiar. A sigh escaped his lips. Hanai didn't have the answers he was looking for. He wanted to know. Needed to know what he was. Where he came from. He was having an identity crisis and wasn't even a teenager yet. Pleading brown eyes looked up into the tall man's eyes. " Angel?" he asked the man. Maybe he could tell him something. Anything. But somehow, he doubted it. It never hurt to try.

"Ooh that makes you more mature?" Hanai's brow shifted at the shapeshifter, not bothered by him in the least. Master Zy had stranger things under his roof. And his twin sons were the least of them!

His eyes softened as he placed a hand on his head. "I know the answers you seek, little one. However, to try to explain it all to you now would only cause you more pain in the end. Take it from one who was once int he same spot as you. Be patient a bit longer.. the answers you need, you will know. Keep searching but don't overwhelm yourself.." The answers will come all in due time... He decided, then and there, to make him a gift. Probably something from home.. "And call me Akiya, please. I'm sure we'll be spending more time together now that we've met."

A dark laugh escaped Darkness' lips. I only replicate the form I mimic. You, child, are the immature one. The figure once again startle to ripple. The crow stood in its place. Bite your tongue. The child doesn't need your help. Opening your mouth won't be a wise decesion. My master will see to that. Darkness closed the mindlink between himself and the midget permanently. Flapping his wings, he landed upon Angelus' shoulder once more. The boy was not pleased with him, he could tell, but it wasn't the time to find those answers.

Angelus lowered his head in resignation. The man didn't help him like he wanted. He raised his eyes to him once more. Same spot as he was? Angelus flapped his wings slightly at the statement. Maybe he was right. Maybe it would all make sense in due time, but he still wanted to know. He was a child and children wanted to know everything. Angelus repeated the mans name. " Akiya." The name rolled easily off his lips. He pointed to himself. " Angelus. " Then to the man. " Akiya. " A smile came to his lips. " Angels." He said in a matter of fact tone.

There were things Hanai could say about that lame bird but he kept his thoughts to himself. He didn't fear any stupid bird who could only mimic those around him. Emperor Taliba was more fearful than tweety.

"Yes, that's right. On both accounts." He pointed to himself, a faint spark of bluish mist erupting at his fingertip and a marking showed on the part of his shoulder than showed through his shirt. "Akiya." He then pointed that same finger to angelus and the symbol of a celtic fashioned crescent moon showed on the child's. "Angelus. Friends." His smile was gentle. Akiya was a kind man by nature, though he had his moments.

"Beware his family." Hanai laughed as Akiya sighed and messed with his wings again. "Biiiig scary family. Mooucha would love you I think."

Silent was in the kitchen the whole time the duo conversed, so she didn't see the small exchange between Angelus and Akiya.

Angelus chuckled. Doll sized clothing? That must be difficult for his son to do. Angelus laughed harder as the complaints rolled off the midgets tongue. " Midget clothing." He chuckled some more. Angelus looked into Akiya's eyes. With a motion of his finger he drew an X across the man's heart as well as his own. The universal sign for ' cross my heart and hope to die '. Angelus brought a finger to his own lips as if silencing the mans words. Silent won't know. His vest covered the marking on the shoulder. " Won't know, won't hurt her." He chuckled. He was a sly little devil.

"Who says I'm a midgit?" He wasn't sure he liked that term applied to him overly much.

"Mouu gets bored at the drop of a hat so making clothing helps him.. if he's not just bugging Sah in the kitchen.." A impish smirk appearing on his mouth at the marking, nodding in complete agreement. "It's not like I would tell her myself."

"Secrets are way too fun to spoil by telling." Hanai was picked up by the angel and placed on his shoulder where he sat comfortably.

"Indeed..." A faint chuckle escaped him before he winked to Angelus. Next time we meet, I'll try my best to bring you a gift.. it'll take some time to make it.. just to give you a heads up. It's not often I met an angel.. Well, one not from the Fortress, I mean."

Angelus shook his head, but a smile played on his lips. " No midget. Height challenged." he chuckled.

The two shared the same impish smile. Silent would find out in sooner or later. Hopefully later though. " Secrets are fun. The best." He nodded. Angelus tried to wink back, but instead both his eyes closed and open at the same time. He'll have to work on that. A gift? He cocked his head to the side. A gift? "Really? Thank you." he couldn't wait to see the gift now.

"You're welcome. Friends give gifts, it's what they do. Least what I like to do with mine." Angelus still had a lot to learn but he was sure that he would be all right. Self discovery was the toughest journey to go on, but everyone is on it, unknowingly or not.

"I like that better! Height challanged..."

Angelus smiled. " Friends. " He really did like that word. His wings flapped in impatience. He really wanted to know what the gift would be. He smiled at the imp. " Height challenged. Not midget." He nodded his head in affirmation. The past conversation of identity was lost among the boy. He was into the now, but he didn't forget his original plans. He would find out. He swore.

"Mmmhm, that's right." His right ear flicked sa the markings turned from blue to red and he sighed. Placing a hand on his knee, he straighted, his braid brushing the ground before he flicked it over a shoulder. "Do forgive me, but I need to get back home. If I'm to get you your gift sometimes in the near future, I had best start now. Mayhap next time we meet, you can meet my sons."

Angelus watched the colors change. He wondered if his did that? Oh well. Angelus understood that the man couldn't be with him the whole day. He nodded his head. " Okay. Next time?" He really wanted to see Akiya again. He was the most interesting people he ever met. He also couldn't wait to meet his sons.

"Most definately. I'll be back here again so you will see me soon." Smiling warmly, he bowed to him and caught Hanai when he slipped off his shoulder smoothly before he headed back out. Mou, had it really gotten so late? Wonderful. He hadn't even noticed. Pausing just long enough to wave back to him, he disappeared into the darkening sky, leaving his box behind. But that had been something he had planned... least, he hoped that had been his plan.

Angelus waved back, sad that Akiya couldn't stay longer. Small fingers reached for the closing door. The ball rang his exit. Darkness was situated atop a bookcase. Just you and me.he sent. The bird cawed back in response. Angelus turned to look into the kitchen, when the box caught his attention. That's where the midget stowed away in. Oh no, Akiya forgot his box. Brown eyes scrutinized the parcel? He wondered what was inside? Fingertips reach out towards the box shape, but he brought them back quickly. It wasn't nice to touch things that weren't yours. Silent taught him that. But what was in it?

PostPosted: Wed Sep 07, 2005 10:17 am

Silent lay sleeping on one of the abandoned couches settled neatly around the stationary shop. No breath exited her lips, nor did her chest rise. She looked like a corpse. Vampires didn''t breathe and if she really wanted to dish up a front, she could manipulate her muscles to contract and relax in her chest as if she was a living and breathing person. But in her sleep, those thoughts didn''t matter.

Snuggled in her arms was Angelus. Eyes wide open. He was already up and awake, but was content in Silent''s arms. They were warm. Instead, brown eyes took in the whole stationary shop. His eyes landed upon the plump bird sleeping atop a bookcase. Darkness. He''d have to deal with his "friend" later, but for now he examined.

"Oh, hello Angelus." Huni greeted quietly so as not to disturb Silent or Talim. "Whatcha up to?" she whispered.

Angelus'' brown eyes looked up from their wanderings around the shop. A tiny yawn escaped his lips. But other than that he was pretty wide awake. His wings flapped in Silent''s embrace. The body stirred slightly, but that was all. With a finger, he motioned around the shop. "Watching." He answered the woman.

"Ah, what have you seen?" Huni asked, sitting down on a plush armchair.

Arri had come into the shop, and apparently was still asleep on the couch. He looked pale, drawn, and not at all well. Andi was pretty much the same. There seemed to be a very strong connective line between the two of them.

Off-handedly, Huni wondered if the shop was some sort of motel or rest house upon seeing Arri and Andi''s bodies. But upon closer inspection, she saw that he and Andi were still very sick.

"Arri?" she whispered, adjusting her hold on Talim.

Angelus simply replied. " Many books." He stated the obvious. And it was true. Many books littered the shelves. He wondered if the books could tell him about angels. Fallen angels. The thought tickled his mind. He noticed the womans attention turn to another child. He never saw this boy before and he didn''t look very healthy. He wondered if the two on the couch were okay?

His eyes cracked open a little, and his gaze rested weakly on Huni.

"Not... so loud...."

He looked like he felt akin to death-warmed-over. He was shaking lightly. Andi had the same symptoms, but hadn''t woken up when Arri had.

Perfect timing, Linneas arrived from the kitchen. He saw Arri and Andi, remembering them from Easter. They didn''t look any better than they did that time, in fact they looked even worse.

Huni motioned to Linneas to take Talim from her so she could check on Arri and Andi. Gently she pressed the back of her hand to Arri''s forehead and held the other to hers for comparison. She did not like what she felt.

Talim suddenly woke up the moment she was in Linneas'' arms and began to wail. She was extra cranky from the sound of things.

Angelus watched the ongoings from his place in Silent''s embrace. A familiar face. Linny. His eyes turned back to the two on the couch. And by the expression on the woman''s face, they weren''t in the best of shape.

Usually, Arri would make a move to resist - but he doesn''t. He simply lays back, and looks at the ceiling. He''s positively burning up, unfortunately. His breathing is rasping - as is Andi''s - and his skin is so pale as to almost be white.

Seeing Arri and Andi''s horrible condition, Huni made up her mind. Gravely, she turned to her son, "Linny, could you take care of things while I''m gone? Maybe you can call Aunt Chao to help look after the shop." Huni didn''t want to disturb Silent, but the red head knew she wasn''t strong enough to carry both Arri and Andi.

"Angelus, could you wake your mom up? I could really use her help." she pleaded, "Arri, everything''s gonna be fine. We''re going to the hospital to get you and Andi looked at." she explained.

Talim didn''t seem to care about the situation, she just kept crying and crying.

Linneas would have panicked, but because he was in his ''home turf'' so to speak, he kept a level head. He nodded, and tried to calm the Roya down, "Mister Darkness? I''m sorry to wake you, but could please you help us out?" he asked, looking at the bird atop the bookcase.

Arri''s head fell back, and then lolled, Andi went completely still. Neither of them were shivering anymore. Arri''s eyes were closed, and the hand that''d been over Andi slumped off his body to hit the floor. Out like a light.

Angelus nodded his head in understanding. Brown eyes turned to the sleeping face. With small hands, he gently shook his mother up. A grumbles escaped her lips. Nothing. Angelus shooker her once more. Harder.

Feminine eyes slowly batted their way open. Stretching her arms above her head, a yawn escaped her lips. " I''m up. I''m up." She told no one in general. The room is a bit foggy, but her vision cleared up. Looking around, she noticed the many people. Wow. She was a hard sleeper. Placing Angelus on the floor, Silent rose up on her two legs. For some reason something didn''t feel right. Then her vision landed on the two on the couch. Their condition wasn''t the best.

" Is everything ok?" she questioned the occupants in the room.

Darkness'' eyes slowly rose open as well. He heard his name being called. Mister Darkness? He could get used to that. Stretching his wings out, he let out a caw. Flying from her perch atop the bookcase, he landed right in front of Linny. He understood the boys words and plead. His form rippled and in a moment, an exact replica of Linny stood in his place.

" Of course. How would you like me to assist you?" he asked. Things were very odd around here.

Huni was starting to panic, "Oh! Silent! Thank goodness you''re awake, and... who is that?" she blinked as Darkness shifted into Linny''s twin. "Oh nevermind, Silent, could you help me carry Arri to a hospital? And the other Linny, could you carry Andi? Be careful with his lantern. There should be one a few blocks away, of all the times not to have a car...." Huni muttered as she hoisted Arri''s arm around her shoulder.

"What my mommy said." Linny replied to Darkness.

Silent looked back and forth between Huni and Linny. The womans ranting caught her off guard. Help? Hospital? This must be bad. She nodded her head. "Of course." She collected her cloat and quickly hid her form. Roasting up into a shishkabob from the sun''s light wouldn''t do anyone any good. Silent walked towards the man and hoisted his other arm around her shoulder. Her other arm went around his waist for stability. " Ready?" she asked Huni.

Darkness nodded his head. Walking over to the couch, he gently picked the child up and cupped him in his arms. The child did not look well. Not at all. Seeing a blanket from the couch Silent had slept upon, he wrapped it around the child. Maybe that would help somehow.

Angelus just watched as everyone was getting ready to leave. His forhead creased in concern and confusion. He wasn''t expecting this type of drama today.

Huni nodded and started out the door, "Linny, if there''s trouble, call your Uncle Syrie or Aunt Chao. I''ll be back as soon as I can." she informed the boy and she and Silent headed outside.

"Yes, mommy." Linneas nodded, then turned to Angelus, "Don''t worry, they''ll be back soon." he told the other boy.

Talim, oblivious to everything, was no longer crying but sobbing softly, hiccuping now and then.

Silent headed out of the door and let Huni lead the way. The woman knew the route to the hospital better than she did. Before leaving the shop, Silent looked back to Linny. " Do me a favor? Look after Angelus?" And not waiting for an answer Huni and herself left the shop and were heading towards the hospital.

Darkness followed in tow. With the back of his hand, he placed it on the boys forehead. Not good. He wrapped the blanket tighter around the form.

Angelus was about to follow Silent when he heard her request. What? He wanted to see what was happening? Sitting on the couch, he pouted. He wanted to go. Was he not big enough? Strong enough? He didn''t know. Brown eyes looked up into Linnys. " Everything ok?" he asked. He was really worried.

Andi was completely unresponsive - just about like Arri. He wouldn''t wake up, and the light in his lantern was starting to go out.

Huni rushed down the streets with Silent, "Excuse me, pardon me, MOVE!!!" she growled at the people in her way. Finally, after much shoving and stepped toes, they reached the hospital. "We have an emergency!! We have a really sick man and a boy!!!" she yelled at the nearest staff member she saw.

Back at the shop, Linneas only stared at Angelus, "I dunno, Angel. But I''m sure the grown ups can do something to help Andi and Uncle Arri." he whispered, "I''m going to get Talim something to eat, you hungry?" he asked, trying to change the subject and atmosphere.

Silent let the woman push her way through the mass of people. This was a dire emergency. They finally made it to the large sterilized building. They stopped near one of the staff members. " Please help." She pleaded.

Darkness watched the boys lantern. The light started to fade. That wasn''t a good sign either. Finally reaching the hospital doors, he walked in with Huni and Silent. He wanted results and he wanted them now. Grabbing an orderly that passed him, he looked into their eyes. " Emergency. Now! " He commanded. The orderly nearly shook in feat at the mans tone. This was no time to play games.

Angelus'' wings blanketed the boys form as if to give him a hug of comfort. He nodded his head at Linny''s question. He was hungry. Slolwy, stepping down from the couch, he walked over to Linny''s side. " Peanut butter?" He had the strangest craving for peanut butter.

"Sure! We have that." Linneas smiled, offering his hand to the winged boy. "You want yours will chocolate or jelly?"

Angelus smiled and took the offered hand. A devilish smile came to his lips. " Just more peanut butter. " He liked how the substance sticked to the roof of his mouth. Pure peanut butter is the best.

"Really? I like mine with jelly and chocolate. I''ll get the plates and the stuff." Linneas nodded, adjusting Talim in his arms. It wasn''t easy, getting the peanut butter jar out of the fridge with only one hand. But somehow he managed to get everything, even Talim''s high chair. He placed her into the seat and went back to the fridge for some of the baby food.

Talim narrowed her eyes suspiciously at the two boys, she pursed her lips and adamantly refused to smile. In fact, she went so far as to stick out her tongue at Angel.

Angelus chuckled. He had peanut butter with jelly and chocolate before, but nothing can beat the prospect of more jelly. He turned his attention away from Linny to the girl in the high chair. His eyes widened in surprise at the girls antics. What was her problem? He squinted his eyes at the girl a sly smile came to his lips. Raising his wings as far back as possible, he brought them back foreward sending a nice burst of wind towards the girls face. He didn''t appreciate her tongue being stuck out at him.

At the burst of wind, Talim shielded her face with her arms, the metallic-skinned infant only hissed in response. She never liked being around her brother, or boys for that matter. She let out a wail, and slammed her fist against the high chair''s tabletop.

"What''s going on?" Linneas frowned, his brows creasing together. "Talim, don''t do that, mommy doesn''t like it when you do that." he sighed, trying his best to open the baby food jar.

Angelus couldn''t help but smile in satisfaction. Serves her right. His brown eyes turned to Linny and the babyjark he held. Feeding time. Flapping his wings, gently this time, Angelus floated in the air. He flew to a counter top and softly sat upon the surface. He didn''t like feeling so short. " Talim?" he repeated the name the boy said to the girl.

The female perked upon hearing her name being mentioned, and once more pounded her tiny fist against the tabletop.

"Yes, this is for Talim." Linneas explained, "She''s my new sister who mommy said arrived in a dream. Has your mommy ever dreamed a baby before?" he asked, finally popping the jar''s lid open.

Angelus watched the girls emotions change. Was she bipolar? Mommy would tell that to Jacklyn at home. Jacklyn would cry one second and in the next be the happiest girl. It was weird.

Angelus said her name again. " Talim." Upon hearing the boys question, Angelus shook his head. " Mommy don''t dream baby''s. Mommy dreamed dragons." Angelus smiled. Mommy had two dragons that came from her dreams. Dameon and Aphrodite. Aphrodite was able to come into the real world. Not Dameon. He was still too young.

Talim couldn''t believe she was stuck with icky boys of all the things! Why couldn''t that shiney green thingamabob be the one with her instead of her yucky brother and his friend? As Linneas offered her the spoon of food, she bat it away, spilling the food onto Linny instead.

"No!" Linneas groaned as the Roya spilt the food onto him. "Talim, stop it!" he frowned, the rare occassions Linneas got angry always involved him getting dirty without his consent. "Angel, I''ll fix your food first, you seem to eat cleaner than my sister does." he smiled, getting the plastic butter knife and the loaf of bread. "Do you want the crust or should I cut it off?" he asked. "And your mommy dreamed dragons? Wow! Mommy said she managed to catch a fairy recently, but I haven''t seen it yet."

Angelus just eyed the girl. She was so rude? He felt sorry for Linny. He shook his head. Linny got dirty and he didn''t seem to like that. " Okay." He said softly to Linnys comment. Mommy taught him to respectful and mannerful. When he ate at home on the table, he made a napkin was on his lap. He also didn''t like to get dirty. Silent taught him so many things. He learned something new every day. Brown eyes flickered to the boy at the question. " Crust." he nodded. " Two. Aphrodite is big!" He spread out his arms as far apart from one another as much as possible, eccentuating how big Aphrodite was. " She can touch the ceiling." he commented. His eyes widened at word Linny used. "Fairy? Really?" Angelus heard that fairies were magical. They intrigued him.

"Alright, crust it is." Linny nodded, leaving it intact as he spread peanut butter on both slices before closing them together. He listened as Angelus talked about Aphrodite, his gold eyes widening at Angel''s description, "She''s that big? Wow, good thing mommy doesn''t dream dragons. A dragon''d never fit in here." he chuckled and handed Angel the sandwich on a paperplate. "Well mommy came home with a small box and inside was something that can catch fairies. But I don''t know what the fairy looks like."

The boy rolled his sleeves up to his elbows, and once again readied himself to feed Talim. "Is Talim hungry or thirsty? Linny can get you some milk if you don''t want mushed carrots." he offered, trying to be as nice as he could to his sister.

Suspiciously, Talim eyed her brother, "Dinka wada! Dinka wada!" she declared, tiny fists gripping the tabletop.

Angelus smiled. " That big. Give''s nice rides through air." He commented. Aphrodite was fast. Extremely fast. " Faster than cheetah." He tried to describe how fast the dragon was, but his vocabulary wasn''t up to par yet. " Thank you." Angelus placed the plate on his lap. Looking around, he spotted a roll of napkins. Taking a piece, he laid the material under the plate. " No mess." He nodded in affirmation while looking at Talim. He didn''t like messy eaters. " A box to get fairy''s? I have boxes too." He nodded his head. But he didn''t think his could catch faerie''s like Linny''s mom''s box did.

It took Linneas several seconds before he understood that Talim wanted some water. He washed a bottle and filled that with lukewarm water and handed it to her. Sighing in relief when she finally calmed down and started gulping the liquid.

He smiled at Angel''s good hygene consciousness, Ning would like him, he was sure of it. "No, I don''t think it''s the box. It was something in the box that catches fairies..."

Angelus happily munched on his peanut butter sandwich. " Mmmm.... Good. " He commented. Linny was a good cook. " No box? Inside box? What?" he asked after hew chewed his food. Not polite to talk with a full mouth. What was in the box that caught the fairy?

Huni stirred from the hospital couch she had fallen asleep on, she turned to her side and saw Silent. The hospital staff had taken Arri and Andi to the ICU rooms to monitor their condition, and the two women decided to stay the night. Huni groggily rose and tried to wake Silent, suddenly growing alarmed when she saw the other woman wasn''t breathing.

"Oh no, SILENT!?!?" she gasped, shaking the vampire.

Silent was sleeping peacefully when all of a sudden her whole body was shaking. Well, being shaken to be exact. Her eyes groggily opened to be introduced to Huni''s worried face. " What? What! Is it an earthquake? Why is the room shaking? What?"

Silent was sure that she was going to be sick from Huni''s actions.

"Oh thank GOD you''re alive!" Huni wailed in relief as she hugged Silent. "You weren''t breathing and I thought you caught whatever it was that Arri and Andi had. Looks like we''ve been here all night, you should go back to the shop. Angelus must be worried sick. I''ll call ahead and tell them you''re coming home." she smiled, "I don''t think I should leave Arri and Andi, I don''t even know where they live!" she laughed, trying to keep the mood light, though the red head was really worried.

Silent finally woken up from the fog. Not breathing? " Huni... I don''t breathe. Remember. Vampire." she pointed to herself, stating the obvious. A smile played on her lips. It was kind of funny after all.

Silent listened to the woman''s ramblings. " Yes, please call. I don''t want Angelus to be worried, but if you need me here, It''s not a problem. I can help. " A thought occured to her. " So Andi and Ari, are they going to stay here? And so are you? Can Linny take care of himself? Silent understood that Linny was older than most of the Tales, but he was still a child.

"Oh yeah..." Huni blinked, "I forgot." she chuckled then excused herself to make the call.

"Hello?"

"Linny! It''s so good to hear your voice. Listen, Silent''s coming home, so Angelus can go back home soon."

"What about you, mommy?" he asked.

"I''d love to go home too, sweetie, but I have to stay until I find out what''s wrong with Arri and Andi. I might be here for another day or two. But I''ll call you again so don''t worry, I''m fine." She would have loved to keep talking, but one of the hospital staff came up to her and told her

"Miss? Your time on the phone is up."

"Oh, alright. Linny, sweetie, you be a good boy and take care of the shop. Ask Uncle Syrie and Aunt Chao for help, I love you. Bye."

"They''re fine," Huni assured Silent as she returned from the phone call, "You really should go home. Linny has Syrie and Chao to help." she smiled.

Silent nodded her head in understanding. " Well... If you''re sure. I''ll be at the shop then. Call if you need anything." Silent embraced her friend and went to retrieve her cloak. Putting it on, she waved goodbye to Huni and made her way out of the hospital. To Angelus.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Linny was kind enough to let Angelus use a spare bed. Darkness sat upon the pillow he laid on, with wings covering his small form. Soft breaths escaped the birds beak. Angelus slowly opened his eyes, but didn''t move. Silent wasn''t there. Was she still at the hospital? He was becoming scared.

The door jangled open as two sopping wet figures pushed their way in, it''d begun to rain heavily about halfway to the Stationary Store and the duo had lacked the protection of an umbrella, as their''s was still at home.
"From now on I''m just bringing an umbrella everywhere," Chao grumbled shivering and slipping off her shoes, vaguely wondering if there were some spare towels kicking around.

Aido had liked getting caught in the rain, but now she was cold and wet, pushing off her shoes she wrapped her arms about herself and lent against Chao''s leg.

The ring of a bell caught his attention. He froze. Was it Silent? Did she come back. With a burst of speed, he flew into the air and out into the hall. He flew down the staircase and stopped in midair. It wasn''t Silent. She wasn''t back. Why would she leave him alone like this? His eyes started to water. He missed her. Darkness wasn''t Mommy.

Chao blinked at Angelus'' sudden appearence, eyes flickering about in search of Silent, though the woman was no-where to be found. But the Tale had come from upstairs, where the rooms were, had Silent gone out?
"Angelus? You alright?" she asked, taking a cautious step foward towards the Tale.

At her friend''s name Aido perked up, mood lightening beofre concern set in at her friend''s expression, "Ang''lus?" she asked quietly, halo glowing softly. She ran forward a few steps before stopping as she realized the boy was in the air and thusly, she couldn''t reach him.

Watery brown eyes looked from Chao to Aido. He floated back down to the ground, but his wings enveloped his body. A protective gesture. He didn''t know what to do. He was alone. He wanted Silent. Brown eyes looked up into the adults. " Mommy not here. Mommy go bye bye." He said softly. He tried to give a smile to Aido, but it seemed so fake.

Aido''s frown deepened at the fake smile and Angelus'' words and immediately rushed forward, grabbing her friend in a hug. Fears were rising in her mind. Was it like Nalira? Was Silent being kept somewhere, forced to be lost?

Chao bit her lip and followed Aido''s lead slowly, kneeling down in front of the two Tales, taking a deep breath to force back her own innate fear, "Angelus, do you remeber where she went? Or why?"

Angelus would not cry. Could not cry. Boys didn''t cry, but he was pretty close. His body relaxed slightly into Aido''s embrace. The small gesture helped slightly. He looked into the womans eyes. " Mommy and redhead went out. Took another Tale with. Tale looked sick and so did his daddy. Said they go to.." what was the word? He scrunched his forehead in concentration. " H... Ho... hospitable." Close enough.

A hospital. Alright, that made sense. And the redhead must''ve been Linny or Huni. Chao sighed in relief, though the thought of another Tale being sick worried her, though she tried not to let that show. "Angelus, your mom is fine then, it sounds like she had to help someone and sometimes things at a hospital take a while. That''s probably why she''s not back yet. But she''ll be back, she wouldn''t just leave you here forever, she loves you too much for that."
She vaguely noted how much like her own mother she must''ve sounded like but smiled all the same.

Aido nodded into Angelus''s wing, though she didn''t understand everything, Aemu was right, Silent wouldn''t just leave Angelus forever.

Angelus nodded. Hospital? Awhile? Help Someone? But why didn''t he take her? He didn''t understand. The woman said that mommy loved him. That she would be back. He hoped so. She loved him too much too leave him. Right? Right. He nodded his head in affirmation. " Mommy be back." He was sure of it, but it didn''t stop the ache in his heart. He missed her. He gave Aido a small smile. " Thank you." he whispered. He truly was thankful.

Chao smiled, nodded, and slumped back against the floor, suddenly acutely aware of just how wet she was. Pushing herself back up she looked around, "Angelus, Ai, I''m going to find some towels for us. We''re dripping everywhere, be right back," with that she headed off into the Stationary Store, hoping to find a linen closet.

Aido smiled softly and released her hold on Angelus, nodding her head, "Ang''lus'' mum be back." Idly she wished she hadn''t let go, it was warmer being next to someone than simlpy standing in her wet clothing. She shivered slightly.

Angelus felt his damp clothing. All thanks to Aido. He couldn''t help but chuckle. He watched his friend let go of him, but shivered slightly. She might get sick. Angelus gave her a hug, but wrapped his wings around her, hoping to warm her up. " Better?" he didn''t want his friend to be cold.

Linneas stirred from his tired sleep, he had been having bad dreams all night, all involving Huni Pi not coming home forever. She hadn''t called last night, even after they had dinner (he got Ning to help figure out the microwave) still no word. He felt old, older than a child was supposed to, and Talim for a change was silent as a mouse.

He changed into fresh clothes and checked in on his sister. He found her sleeping tightly and then went to see Angelus. His eyes widened when he saw he was gone, worried, the boy rushed downstairs.

Suddenly finding herself the recipiant of a hug and covered in feathers Aido blinked. With a soft giggle she buried rubbed her face in the soft feathers, feeling Angelus'' warmth and the warmth of the feathers warming her. "Better. Ang''lus feathers are soft."

Angelus chuckled. " Yeah. Soft. " So it did work. Perfect. Aido wasn''t shivering anymore and that made him feel better. His attention turned to the vibrations coming down the stairs. Linny. His eyes widened. His mommy wasn''t with him either. " Linny! " He called out while still holding Aido. " No red head. No mommy." he stated.

Chao poked her head back in at the thumping of Linny heading down the stairs, catching a sight of her godson''s red hair. She still hadn''t found the linen closet but Linny lived here, maybe he would know. "Linny! Please tell me you know where the linen closet is." Being cold and wet simply screamed out an oppertunity for a cold.

Linny looked a lot less pale when he saw Angelus was safe and that his God Aunt and Ai were here. "No, mommy hasn''t come home yet. The linin closet''s upstairs, beside mommy''s room. I''m worried, Aunt Chao I-" he was interrupted by the sound of Huni''s S-Tone going off. He quickly rushed to it and answered, "Hello?"

But I''ll call you again so don''t worry, I''m fine."

"Miss? Your time on the phone is up." a voice said in the background.

"Oh, alright. Linny, sweetie, you be a good boy and take care of the shop. Ask Uncle Syrie and Aunt Chao for help, I love you. Bye."

"But mommy-" the sound of the dial tone cut him off. Saddened, Linny could only sink to the floor and hug his knees to his chest. Huni wasn''t going to come home today, but Silent was. It wasn''t fair! The only consolation the boy had was that Huni was alright and she was at the hospital only until she finds out what''s wrong with Uncle Arri and Andi. He hoped she''d be back soon.

Towels would have to wait. Chao crossed over to where her Godson had sunk to quickly and sat by him, placing a hand on his shoulder, "Linny what happened? Is Huni okay? Are you okay?"

Aido watched her friend quietly and slipped away from Angelus'' embrace, grabbing his hand and dragging him with her as she made her way over to Linny. "Leenee?"

Linneas wiped the few tears welling up in his eyes, "Mommy''s not coming home today, but Miss Silent is. Mommy has to stay at the hospital to see if Uncle Arri and Andi are okay." he murmured sadly, "But she says she''ll call again... Aunt Chao can you and Ai stay here for a while?" he asked.

For a split second Chao pondered over it before nodding, wrapping on arm around her godson, "of course Linny. Ai and I can stay until Huni gets back." She''d call Rico up later and explain the situation, she decided, confident her twin could take care of their home until she returned.
Looking over to her own daughter Chao caught her eye and smiled lightly, "hear that Ai? We''ll be staying here for a bit, alright?"

Aido sat on Linny''s other side, taking his hand in her free one and squeezed it, looking to Chao she nodded.

Angelus let Aido drag him towards Linny. Linny was sad because his mommy wasn''t coming home. But Silent was! He couldn''t help but perk up at the news. His wings flapped in joy.

Linny just smiled gratefully at Chao, though he felt jealous that Silent was coming home and Huni wasn''t, he understood why Angel should be happy. He gave the younger Tale a smile and then Talim started crying again. "Uh oh..." he sighed, "S''cuse me Aunt Chao, I have to see to my sister..." he half-moaned, he still couldn''t understand why Talim disliked him so much.

Chao cocked her head thoughtfully, "want me to go see if she needs anything? I don''t want you to have to do everything if I''m going to be staying here, plus I''d like to meet her." A pause, "and I still need to find some towels...."

Silent quickly walked down the familiar cobbestone road. " Almost there." She whispered. The sun dangerously tried to creep into her cloak. Not good.

Angelus returned the smile, but knew Linny was sad his mommy wasn''t coming home. He couldn''t help but feel bad.

Linneas could have cried in joy, instead he just beamed and nodded vigorously. "Talim''s in her room, beside mine, it''s the 2nd door after the linen closet." he explained, happy he didn''t have to deal with the Roya.

"Hey, is anyone hungry? I learned to use the microwave last night." he grinned.

With a light laugh Chao pushed herself up, "Alright, then. I''ll hopefully be back soon. If you''re going in the kitchen be careful, ne? Don''t let Ai on the counters," with that warning she heads up the stairs to Talim''s room.

"Mi-crow-wave?" Aido blinks, cocking her head curiously. Although, technicly, they had one at home the Tale had never heard it called by name so Aido was left not knowing what Linny was talking about and wondering if it was like Darkness.

"Yes, Aunt Chao." Linneas nodded, "Yep, the microwave is a box that cooks food!" explained, that was basically how he understood the machine. Ning wasn''t sure how to explain it to the boy either and just told him it was a box that cooks food and it gets hot so he shouldn''t touch it when it was cooking or at least half an hour after it finishes cooking.

Talim continued crying, she was hungry and demanded to be fed.

Silent finally made it to the door. Using her shoulder, she forced the door of the shop open. The bell rang her arrival. She expertly, took the cloak off in an instant. It was great to be out of the deadly rays. Looking around her brown eyes fell upon Angelus. She kneeled to the ground and opened her arms. " Missed me?"

Angelus was about to ask what a microwave was when the bell caught his attention. The familiar female voice caused his heart to race. Silent. Quickly turning around, he literallly dragged Aido with him. He ran into Silent''s arms. Her scent washed over his body. Her comforting scent. Those same arms wrapped around him, making him feel safe. For that moment, everything was perfect.

During the moment Darkness flew down the stairs and perched himself ontop of the bookcase. Watching. He scoffed. Emotions. Who needed them?

"Food cook box?" Aido smiled at the idea then gasped as Silent entered and she was dragged over to meet the other woman.
Giving her arm a small rub she smiled up at the woman then back at Linny, she wanted to see the cooking box.

Quickly snagging several towels Chao slipped into Talim''s room, "hey there little one," she cooed, only slightly put off by the crying, she''d been lucky with Aido, the girl rarely cried or wailed, save after a nightmare.
Still, she placed the towels down on the floor and looked around for a bottle, deciding she''d try and feed the little girl then see if she needed anything else.

Talim quieted considerably upon Chao''s entrance. It was a girl who came to take care of her! Good. She had enough of icky boys, especially the one with the black things on his back. She gurgled happily at the thought of another female. She missed Huni, and wanted to be with her mother, she needed to keep an eye on Huni. In case her mother dreamed her away.

"Welcome back, Miss Silent." Linny greeted, from the kitchen doorway.

Angelus let go of Aido''s hand and hugged Silent with all he had. It was good to be in Mommy''s arms again.

Silent smiled and closed her eyes. She missed Angelus. Really bad. Her eyes opened to greet Linny. " Hello. How has everything been?" she asked while still holding Angelus.

Finially sighting a pre-made bottle Chao snagged it and made her way over to the little girl, who, thankfully, had become much quieter. "Hello there Talim." she gretted with a soft smile, deciding not to explain that she might be taking care of the little girl for a few days, she wasn''t sure how. She''d ask Linny if he''d mind doing it later.
With a small shakd of her head she placed the bottle in Talim''s line of sight, "hungry Talim?" hopefully the little girl''s reaction would give her an idea as to what she wanted.

As Angelus let go of her hand Aido smile and quickly walked back over to Linny, peering into the kitchen, she really wanted to see the food cooking box.

Talim immediately made grabby hands at the bottle, gurgling in delight and anticipation at being fed.

"We did okay." Linny replied, waiting for Ai to join him in the kitchen, "We''re just about to use the microwave!" he declared proudly. "Maybe have some hot alphabet soup!"

" Alphabet soup? Sounds great! What do you think?" she asked the winged boy in her arms. Angelus nodded his head. Picking the child up, Silent made her way into the kitchen. " To the microwave it is." she chuckled.

With a chuckle Chao gently picked up the little girl, getting her situated in the crook f her arm before holding the bottle out to her.

"Soup!" Aido grinned and dashed into the kitchen. Soup was warm and yummy and her stomach started to growl just thinking about it. Not to mention there was the food cook box.

Linneas chuckled and headed to the cabinets that Huni left unlocked, these were the one filled with the canned goods like sardines, corned beef and soup! He picked out four soup cans, and set them near the microwave.

He got out the can opener and some bowls and spoons. Without thinking he opened the microwave and popped a can in.

Talim greedily sucked at the milk inside the bottle, sighing in satisfaction as the liquid went down her throat into her stomach.

Chao smiled happily, taking a seat on the floor as Talim ate.

Aido watched the microwave curiously, it looked like something they had at home, just a bit different. Her gaze skittered over the rest of the kitchen, taking in the oven and the like and, oh yes, a stepstool.
Making a note of its presence she turned her attention back to the microwave.

Silent followed the children into the kitchen. Setting Angelus upon the counter, she wasn''t paying attention to Linny''s actions. A brief glance of a can being popped into the microwave did catch her attention though. Her eyes widened. " Linny! Don''t turn on the microwave! " Silent quickly ran over to the machine and took the can out before it was turned on. She heaved a sigh of relief.

Angelus watched Silent rush towards the metal box. Why did she get so worried? Linny was only making food.

Linny stumbled back as Silent took the can out before he could set the timer. He stared at her, what did he do?
"What''s wrong? You don''t like this kind of soup?" he asked.

Talim finished her meal and was now ready to be sung to.

Silent retrieved the bowls and spoons. Pouring the contents into the bowls, Silent placed the bowls into the microwave and set the timer. "The heat from the microwave would cause the metal can to explode." Silent tried to inform the child. " The metal conducts electricity which would cause the box to go Boom!" With her hands, she made a big ball shape. She was never good at explaining things.

Angelus just chuckled at Silent. His mommy was funny.

Linny couldn''t quite grasp the concept of conduction and electricity. All he knew was that the microwave made food hot.
"Oh, so the microwave will make the soup too hot and it will go boom?" he blinked. "So we can''t use the microwave to cook the soup?"

Silent bit her bottom lip. He was able to grasp the concept somewhat. " No. The soup won''t go boom. The metal from the can the soup is IN will go boom. That''s why we put the soup in bowl, so it doesn''t go boom." Silent was sounded dumber with every passing second.

Chao, of course, knew nothing of the fact that she was supposed to sing to the infant, "alright Talim, do you want to go back to sleep? Do you need a story? Bathroom? Anything?"

Privately Aido wouldn''t mind seeing this ''boom'' everyone was talking about. It sounded interesting.

Linny crinkled his brows, still not understanding but decided not to press the issue any further. He was hungry.
"Okie... Miss Silent can we still have soup?" he asked.

Talim squirmed and shook her head, she flailed her arms about making noises as if asking Chao to do the same only with a melody.

Silent nodded her head. " Of course. But no more microwaving soup in the can, okay? Soup in a bowl." Just as long as Linny did that, everything would be fine. Hopefully.

Angelus felt his tattoo starting to itch. He raked his nails over his shoulder. Silent eyed him the whole time. He quickly retracted his hand and gave her a smile. Uh oh.

Silent eyed the winged boy. Did he have an itch? She shook her head. Oh well. Taking out the bowls of soup, she placed them upon the counter. Picking one up for Aido, she placed hers on the table. " There you go." She passed Linny his as well. " And for you." And finally she took hold of Angelus. " And for you." she smiled.

Linny was absolutely starving and gulped down the soup like there was no tomorrow.

"...Sing?" Chao''s brow crinkled, she wasn''t that wonderful a singer, neither was she sure what song. She didn''t know many lulabyes. Still, she picked one and began to sing softly, so that only Talim could hear.
It was something her mom had sung to her when she was little and one of those that was firmly shoved in her memory.

Aido ate her soup a bit more slowly than Linny, it was kind of hard to manipulate the spoon and the like but she managed.

Silent''s eyes widened at the boys eating habits. Angelus copied her look. " He must have been really hungry." she chuckled to Angel. Angelus smiled.

Placing the bowl on his lap, Angelus slowly ate his soup. "Mmmm... good." he smiled. This was good.

The song wasn''t important to Talim, really. All the Roya really wanted was to hear the melody of the song. It calmed her and she was now ready to go back to sleep. Crying and being full afterwards exhausted her. She yawned widely but didn''t snuggle up to Chao, the Roya rarely snuggled to Huni even.

Chao smiled none the less and put the girl back into her crib.
She''d need to head home for a bit, get provisions and the like, explain to Rico what was going on, ect.

Grabbing the towels and moving quietly she made her way out of the room and back downstairs. "Hey Linny- and Silent! Hey!" she waved to her friend standing behind Ai''s chair, dropping a fluffy towel on the girl, "Linny, I''m going to take Aido home for a little while, hour or two tops, I promise, I''ll get Rico to drive me back, but we need to get some things for staying here, alright? Will you be okay for that long?" She didn''t want to leave the boy alone, even for that long, but she did need some things.

Aido snugged into the towel and looked up to Chao, letting out a soft yawn, she was full of warm soup and damp, all together it made for a sleepy Tale.

Linneas nodded at what his Aunt was telling him, "I''ll be fine. Uncle Syrie''s here, but he''s been busy and I think sick." he told her.

Silent stood in the kitchen, cleaning up after their meal. Angelus burped his satisfaction. She stopped midwipe and eyed the winged boy. " Scuse me." Came from his lips. A smile graced her face. " Good boy." She went back to cleaning. Angelus flapped his wings and started to rise into the air. He flew out of the kitchen and into the lounge. Darkness, his crow, followed dutifully.

Ying struts into the shop, staff in one hand and plushie in the other. Her chest is puffed out with pride, and she wears a smug expression as she steps inside.

"I can read," she declares to no one in particular. She doesn''t seem to care whether or not anyone can hear her; she simply declares it for the sake of bragging.

Junyi peeks in after her, carrying Luna in her arms. "Helloooooo?"

(( Continuiation from the above post.))

Silent quickly finished cleaning and walked out to see who entered the store. She wiped her hands clean with the towel in her hand. Raising an eyebrow, she eyed the woman that came in. " Hello?" She never saw her around the shop before.

Angelus flew ontop of a bookcase, softly landed upon the wood. Darkness perched himself upon his shoulder. A little girl entered the shop. As cocky as anyone he ever met. He quirked an eyebrow at the girl. She could read? He could do. What was the big deal?

"Hello," Junyi answers meekly. "Er, it's nice to meet you. My name's Jun Keth." She nods at Ying. "This is Ying," she then glances at the almost-not-a-baby in her arms. "And this is Luna."

"You are?"

"I can read," Ying repeats smugly. "Mas-ter-ing the art of war."

A look of pure euphoria crosses her face as she squeezes the doll tighter.

Junyi resists the urge to comment on Ying's having to ask what the words she read actuallly MEANT. e_e

Silent offered her hand at the meek woman. " I'm Silent. And that littlle misfit up there is Angelus." She pointed to the winged boy on top of the bookcase. She noticed his wings twitch in curiosity. Silent caught the little girls words. " Mastering the art of war?" she looked to Jun Keth for confirmation.

Angelus shook his head. Art of war? He couldn't believe the girl said that. His forehead creased in confusion. Odd little thing. Darkness cawed in laughter. The little girl was something.

"You can call me Junyi, if you want," Junyi answers absently, her gaze rising to glance at Angelus. "Everyone else does."

A pause. "Oh? The book?" Junyi laughs quietly. "She got tired of the children's books pretty fast and raided the study." She gestures to the doll in Ying's arms- an adorable representation of what appears to be an ancient Chinese scholar. "I figured she'd like it since it was mostly written by the man that doll is supposed to be in the likeness of."

"His name is Kongming," Ying whispers.

She suddenly glances upward, a frown forming on her face. "Don't laugh! Stupid!"

"Hush, Ying. You can't go calling everyone stupid."

Silent smiled. " Junyi." Her gaze went to the boy and back to the woman. " That's understandable. Children do want to get into everything. Angelus is well past the stage of children's books. Reading the bible now and family scrolls. " She stated. She left the small part out that it was a vampire bible, but was that so important? She didn't think so.

Angelus smirked and tried to hide the smile behind his plushie. Darkness only chirped louder. The girl was a riot. Stupid? How childish. Immature. The crow shook his head from side to side. Children. Angelus quirked an eyebrow at the girl.

Stupid? You mean, intellectually challenged, which I am not. He telepathically sent to the girl. The boy was smart for his age. Very smart.

Ying blinks, eyes widening as her face softens.

Suddenly, a wide grin spreads across her face. "I'm sorry!"

She glances at Luna, frowning. "He talks like you, Edae."

The baby stares at Angelus with wide blue eyes, face lighting up as she catches stray projections...

...And pelts him with strong happy, friendly emotions.

FRIEND!

Angelus was surprised she apologized so quickly. He thought he'd have more of a verbal spar with the girl. At least peace was better. He nodded his head and flapped his wings slightly. " S'okay." he said outloud. The girl talked to the child in the womans arms and before he could stop, the female sent these weird happy emotions. His face showed his disguist. He could be happy but that was too much! Enough. he sent back. Yes. Friend. he replied to the comment.

Darkness eyed the child that sent those feelings, he felt them, but was not infected by the lovey dovey. Yuck! He prefered his dark outtake on the world.

"See, I thought you were stupid," Ying explains. "But you're not, so it's okay!"

The happy-lovey projections quickly cease and are replaced with a feeling of warmth and kindness.

Angelus couldn't help but scoff at the girl. So you're mean to those who you feel are under you? That was very self centered in his opinon. He was grateful that the feelings weren't so poignant.

Darkness liked this girls attitude. He cawed once more

"NO!" Ying huffs. "Stupids are meanheads." A nod. "Stupids are mean FIRST!"

This girl made his head hurt with her reasonings. For someone who liked smart people, she didn't sound very intelligent. Angelus shrugged his shoulders. He couldn't change what she thought, might as well not make a deal about it. What's you name? he asked curiously.

"Ying," Ying finally answers.

"--But people who are mean FIRST are stupid!" She quickly blurts out.

Angelus nodded his head.Ying he repeated. He couldn't help but roll his eyes as she still tried to justify herself. Alright. Meanies. Big ones. he nodded his head.

"YES!"

"And meanies are stupid."

She frowns with thought. "You read?"

Angelus nodded his head. " Yes. Read lots of books. All from Mommy's library." Mommy had her own personal library at home. He loved it.

"Ooooooooooooh," Ying murmurs thoughtfully, rocking back on her heel. "What kinds of books? I like army books."

Angelus flapped his wings in thought. So many titles. So many subjects. How could he tell them all to her? He'd tell her the one he learned the most from.

" The Bible." The vampire bible, but he assumed she would know that.

A look of utter confusion crosses Ying's face. "What's a bible?"

"...Is that like the Torah? 'Cuz that's what mom reads."

Angelus nodded his head. Mom mentioned the Torah once. Said it was like any religious bible. The Bible has stories of a certain races past. Their history. he tried to explain. Like my moms tomes in her library. The family scrolls.

History. Now THAT Ying can understand.

"I like reading history too!" She nods emphatically. "Mi-li-tary history and stra-te-gy." A frown. "The words are too big and I don't know what most mean."

"But when I read more, I'll learn!" She smiles broadly. "And then I can read the BIG books in the study!"

Angelus cocked his head to the side in contemplation. Military? Strategy? He didn't know those words. Torture he knew. Depravation he knew. Were they the same thing? He wasn't sure. He'll ask mommy later. Big books? Mommy has some too, but some she won't let me read. Said they're full of... In...Incan... incantations? Was that the word? Well, it sounded close enough.

"I don't know that word," Ying admits quietly. "But you should read stra-te-gy! It's FUN."

She snuggles the plush even closer as she lets out a quiet giggle.

Angelus felt better that she didn't know the word either. I'll see if mommy has books on strategy. I haven't seen one yet. he sent to her. He eyed the plushie in her grasp. His moogle stayed to the side of him, as long as he was within arms reach of it, he was fine.

Ying continues snuggling the doll, her giggles growing more girly.

Angelus raised an eyebrow at the girls giggles. He shrugged his shoulders. She was the female Tale Angelus was able to meet. He wondered if the other girls were so... girly.

Darkness started to groom his feathers, boredom setting in.

Small fingers grasped at his shoulder. The tattoo itched again. Odd.

Ying finally regains her composure, her cheeks slightly flushed. "So one day we can trade books right? I can read your Bi-bull?"

Angelus smiled. He wanted to learn this... strategy she spoke of. He nodded. You can teach me this... strategy you speak of and I'll tell you about demons. Deal? Mommy taught him about many species. They all intrigued him. Darkness, his shapeshifter, was one of the rare ones. The knowledge he gained from his mommy's book, kept him entertained for many hours and made funny thoughts and ideas cross his mind.

"Oooooooooh, demons!" Ying coos. "Yes pl--"

"What the-- NO!" Junyi suddenly interjects. "No DEMONS!"

"Aww."

Angelus stiffened at the response from the older woman. What? Everyone should know about demons! Mommy's a demon. Did that mean she didn't like mommy. He sent the woman a glare. Demons were ok.

Darkness eyed the loud yell from the woman. No demons, huh? What does she know? Darkness sent to Angelus. The boy didn't answer.

Junyi finally sighs. ".....Not until you're older."

Angelus pulled one knee to his chest and laid his chin atop of his knee. His wings flapped in thought. The girl was different. Different from Aido. But it wasn't bad. She was just... Different. He wasn't used to be around girls his age.

"Maybe no demons yet..." Ying murmurs thoughtfully. "Maybe we can fight sometime? I'm learning to use my staff!" She grins. "One day I'll learn to use a SPEAR!"

Angelus looked at the girl. Fight? I've never fought before. Seems... Primal. Barbaric. With a spear? Mommy says weapons are useless. Hands and canines are what real warriors use. Opening his mouth, he pointed to his pointy canines. Both bottom and top. Mommy only has sharp teeth on the top. Just two. he stated.

Ying winces. "B-but..." A pout.

"But it's good exercise. And fun if it's not for real." She stares at the floor. "And it looks cool with a spear," she finally mumbles.

Angelus didn't understand why the girl started to pout. An eyebrow rose in confusion. There she goes, trying to reason her way out of it once more. Like he said. Headache. He shrugged his shoulders, not wanting to fight. Mommy said he was a lover not a figher, but when the need arose, take the other person down. Hard and fast. It didn't have to be clean either. Mommy was confusing at times.

Okay. Good exercise. Teach me then, how to use this... Staff and spear. he commented. He hoped she didn't cry.

"I can't," Ying finally mumbles. "I can't do it inside. I promised."

She still seems a bit hurt from having her hobby called barbaric.

Is your mommy that strict? It seemed the girl had so many limits. Rules. Mommy wasn't that bad, but she did have " Mommy " says. It's what a mommy did.

"I broke a vase," Ying admits. "So I'm not allowed to practice inside anymore."

"...And I'm not allowed to play with tools in the kitchen because I forgot to put the toaster back together."

"....And I'm not allowed to play with the lighter because I set fire to the bathroom."

Her face is beet red as she lists the rules and WHY she has to follow them.

Angelus listened to Ying list the rules the rules and why she's not allowed to do them. Maybe she did need restrictions. She was a little fireball! He chuckled at how red she got. It's ok. We all have rules to abide by. You're not the only one.

Ying sighs, glancing away. ".....I want my lighter."

Angelus could only chuckle. I'm sure when you're older, your mommy will give you a lighter. he nodded his head in affirmation.

"Maybe; I want a Zipp-"

"Ying, we have to go," Junyi interrupts. "Jo will be awake soon and I don't want to worry him."

"I has'ta go," Ying murmurs. "We'll play later?"

She waves at Angelus as she's led out of the store.

Angelus waved back, saying goodbye. He nodded his head. We'll play next time. He watched Ying and her mommy leave the shop. Silent, Darkness, and Angelus stayed in the shop. Alone.

As the two Tales spoke to each other, another set of noise began to be heard. "This is annoying! Where is it?"

"Will you settle down? Shouhin left the box for us to use as a pinpoint.. it''s close." The two voices sounded exactly alike, but one was very hyper and the other was calmer and refined. "see? This has to be the place."

"A book store?" The door was pushed open with a slim hand as two ten years olds stepped into the store. Both had pale white hair with an assortment of blue and burgundy streaks in it, but one had a braid of black hair that bopped against the left side of his face while the second had one of silver on the other. Identical burgundy eyes took in everything there was to see, pausing briefly over the two tales before one scampered off to get the box. "It''s here!"

"You thought Shouhin was lying, Mouu?" Rubbing the back of his neck, the twin with the black braid watched his younger brother dance around with the box over his head. "Mouucha, knock it off. Shouhin said don''t break anything."

"B-But Kali! What''s in it?!"

"How should I know?!" Waving a hand in irritation, he looked at the Tales again. "We have to find that boy Shouhin met before... you did remember to bring it, right?"

"Uh huh!"

Angelus watched the girl and her mom leave. A sigh escaped his lips. He didn''t like having just Darkness with him. The bird would tick him off at times.

Before Angelus was about to fly to the kitchen where Silent was when the door rang the arrival of two strangers. Two young adolescent boys. Who were they. He stood quiet on top of the bookshelf. The tattoo started to itch again. What was up with that? The feather from his wings rustled slightly.

The two boys looked exactly the same, cept for a few features. The said something about a box. What about a box? Did they need a box to catch fairy''s like Huni did? Wait... Were they looking for Akiya''s box? And if to answer his question, one of the boys spotted the box and became quickly excited.

He really wanted to know who they were.

"I wanna open the box, Kali!!" Mouu''s bottom lip was thrust out as he whimpered, but his big brother was ignoring him as he went over to where Angelus was, looking up at him thoughtfully. "Kali!!!"

"That''s enough, Mouu. Shouhin said to give his gift to someone with a bird... he''s the only one with a bird that I see." Tilting his head, with made the angel wings behind his ears shift, he bowed after a bit more study, showing he had another set of wings on his back. "Are you Angelus, by any chance? Our Shouhin, Akiya, sent us here."

"Huh?" Lowering the box a bit, Mouu went over to join Kalhali, looking up at the boy watching them. "Is he the one we''re looking for?"

Angelus eyed the two beings. He mirrored the boys actions, bowing just like he, fluffling his black feathery wings slightly. Brown eyes scruitinized the two below him. His eyes widened in realization. Shouhin? So, Shouhin was Akiya? How many names did the man have? They had wings too? Wow. How many angels were there?

Darkness cawed at the twins below him. They didn''t stir him the right away. The winged child rolled his eyes at him. A huff escaped his beak. Whatever.

Angelus nodded his head. " Yes. Me Angelus." he replied. Why did they want to know?

"ah good. We were sent by our Sho-I mean.. our father, to find you. He says sorry he couldn''t come down himself.."

"But he''s been having hard time sleeping so he''s been forced to stay in bed for awhile!" Mouu was easily excited by everything life had to offer. Bouncing on the balls of his feet, he hummed. "Oooh he''s cute! Shouhin was right about him!"

"Give him the gift, Mouu...." Kalhali, called Kali cause a lot of people stumbled over his name, was serious and more focused on his studies. He protected his little brother from everything he did. "I''m Kalhali, Kali... and this is my little brother, Mouucha."

"Everyone calls me Mouu!" Rummaging in a pocket, he pulled out a small locket he had been asked to deliver. "Father says you two are friends.. and this is a way of showing that friendship... right, Kali?"

"Mmmhm.. he said that if you had a need of him, just hold onto it and call for him. He''ll hear you no matter where you are.."

"And will come!"

"Thank. You. Mouu." Placing a hand on top of his head, he ruffled it up violently, his face not showing a flicker of his irritation. "He hopes it''s good enough.. he rarely makes things... so he thinks it sucks.."

Angelus cocked his head to the side as the one boy spoke of Akiay. Not well? Concern was evident in the winged boys features. His forehead creased in confusion. Cute? He heard that word many a time, especially from females who saw him. Was that an insult or a compliment? He didn''t think much of it.

The gift. Angelus remembered. Akiya said he was going to give him a gift. Curiosity glittered in his eyes. The boy introduced himself. " Kali." he couldn''t pronounce his real name, so the shorter version sufficed. He looked to the other. " Moo." Angelus couldn''t help but giggle when he said the boys name. He sounded like a cow.

Brown eyes took the gift in hand. A locket. Silver with a detailed blue and white design on its front. Both hands held the locket gently, as if it were the finest china. " Yes. Friends. Good friends. Tattoo friends." He chuckled at the memory.

This locket would make him come? Angelus'' fingers itched to try it out, but Akiya wasn''t feeling good so he would leave him be. " Beautiful. Thank you." He smiled to the two boys.

A cross already adorned his neck. A thought occured to him. He looped the chain through his belt loops and tied the end over the chain and the loop. Angelus saw old pictures of men wearing watches on their hips. Instead, he had a chain. He put the locket in the front of his pocket. That way he would always have it.

"I bet he''s tired of being called cute." Kali was smirking as he watched what he did with the locket. "Shouhin''ll be pleased you''re happy with his gift."

"But being cute is such a good thing! It''s not bad.. unless it''s said in a stupid way or something..." Mouu knew that it sounded like a cow, hence why he made people call him Mouu. Cause he seriously liked it that way. Only his Yuhin called him Mouucha, but that was only when he was in a lot of trouble or something. "Shouhin gave you a tatoo? Does it look like this?" He shifted his shirt a bit and showed the same tattoo on his shoulder blade. "Cool! I wanna be friends with Angelus too!!"

"I doubt Shouhin would mind it. If it keeps you from Tiggrah.." A sour look crossed his face. He so didn''t like the guy Mouu cared for. Just not good enough for his little brother.

"Tigg is nice! Be quiet!" He waved a hand before he bounced. "Why don''t you come on down, Angelus? We won''t hurt you or anything!"

Angelus nodded his head and his wings flapped in excitement. They also had the tattoo! He moved his vest to the side and showed the exact same tattoo. He blinked his eyes at the energetic boy. Wow. He definately had a lot of energy.

Who was Tiggrah? It seemed that Kali didn''t approve of this Tiggrah. Angelus contemplated the request. He was getting bored. Flapping his wings, he rose into the air and hovered above the two. A smile graced his lips. Finally, playmates!

Darkness eyed the trio below. They seemed much too goody for him. He went back to preening his feathers.

Mouu gave a happy squeal as he let his own wings take him up intot he air as well. "Sweet! You can fly!" Spinning in little spirals, he tried to contain his giggling as he swept down and yanked Kali into the air as well. "so tell us! What''s there to do for fun around here?"

"If you''re allowed to leave this place, we can go outside.. there''s more room to fly about it... can you use magic?" Kali was much more calm that Mouu, who was zipping around looking at every single thing. "mouu! Don''t. Touch. Anything!"

"Yeah yeah!"

Angelus nearly giggled with excitement. Others who could fly? He must''ve been dreaming. His body turned as the boy did spirals around him. He was getting slightly dizzy but he still stood in the air. There wasn''t much to do around the shop. The other Tales didn''t fly, so he didn''t feel incline to do so. Outside? He nodded his head enthusiastically.

" Outside! " He exclaimed loudly, and then went into a whisper. Weary eyes looked into the kitchen. He didn''t want to scare his mommy. He sneakily pointed a finger towards the window that was always open to let in fresh air. If they went through the front door, the bell would ring their exit.

Angelus looked at the boy curiously. " Magic? " He heard about it, but could he do it? " Can you teach me?" he asked both the older boys.

Darkness let a smirk come to his beak? Mischief was in order and he wanted to be a part of it. The crow flew into the air and perched himself on Angelus'' shoulder.

The twins glanced at each other when Angelus looked towards the kitchen and then followed the trail. "Oooh parentage.." They both covered their lips before the head headed outside of the shop. Mouu love the open air and went about again while Kali rolled his eyes.

"Over eager as always.." He could fly, was a Fallen, yet he knew of no magic? That was just strange, but he came from a place where everyone knew some form of it. So to hear otherwise was very, well, weird. "Sure. I can teach you any kind of magic you wanna know! What are you more curious about?" As he spoke, he conjured up a ball of flame. It flared up brightly before it shifted and molded into the form of a small person, who danced and leapt across his palm. It had taken the longest for him to learn it and he was happy about it as well.

Angelus tried to hide the giggle that rose to his lips. He loved to be sneaky. His plushie was firmly placed on his side. Clasped to a lock of sorts. Angelus didn''t go anywhere without it.

Angelus heaved a sigh of relief as they flew into the night air. Dusk was coming, and the sun was setting. The sky turned a bright red. The best part of the day in his opinon. Brown eyes looked into the older boys. Choose? He shrugged his shoulders. There were so many options, but which to learn? Was magic innate? Many more questions racked his brain.

When he was about to respond, the boy formed a firedancer that danced across his palm, leaving no burns. Wow. Angelus knew minimally about magic, but knew much about raping villages, carnage, and torture. Odd... But for the past few nights, it seemed he dreamed anothers mans events. Someone who was cruel. Uncaring. But what frightened Angelus the most was that he wasn''t effected by it.

His attention went back to the boy. " What do you think? What would fit me?" The boy was much more knowledgeable then he was.

"Hmm... that depends on what you like to do.. or what you would like to do." Kali was looking at him thoughtfully, trying to figure him out. It was never quite so simple to stare at someone and then guess which element would be good. Back at Harems, it was simple.. the way a person looked,a cted or dressed there placed them in a certain breed, which practiced a certain magic. Though with the Rakashu, it didn''t matter cause they knew all magicks. "Hmmm..." Suddenly, he gave an oomph as Mouu slammed into his back, clinging to him happily. "Mouu!"

"Hehehehe you two are all serious!! We should teach him dark flare!"

"Dark Flare? Are you out of your mind!? He has to learn regular flare first and if he has no talent for fire plights, then there''s no point to teaching it to him!" Kali gave his brother a look as Mouu went floating around Angelus, studying him.

"We should test him then!" He nodded, like he had just come up with the cure for all illnesses in the world. "Let''s take him-"

"No. Before you ever say anything, no." With a rough shake of his head, he muttered curses. "We can''t take him to our world..."

"W-Whhhhhyyy?!"

"Cause we dunno if he can be stable there, ya moron..." He ruffled up his hair again. "We can test him here... but what do you see yourself using, Angelus?"

Angelus looked back and forth between the brothers. Out of all their ramblings, one comment caught his attention. Take him to their world? Another world? His wings flapped harder in excitement. But Kali didn''t think it a good idea. Maybe next time.

So, what magic did he see himself doing?

His forehead creased in concentration. There was so many things, how could he choose? Wasn''t there a way to figure out what would be most compatible?

"He''s angelic.. so, I''m sure he can learn holy magicks, right?" Mouu''s duel set were flapping in excitement as Kali nodded in grudging agreement. "Most angelics can learn that.. but if he''s Fallen.." Hanai had told him that Angelus'' lame bird didn''t like anyone talking about the Fall around Angelus. To someone who hated keeping secrets for any reasons, that rubbed him the wrong way. "Well we could do the test right?"

"I didn''t bring the stone with me.. go get it." Kali straightened as he got closer to Angelus, ignoring his brother as he pulled out a black stone from his pocket and chanted a few words, causing the stone to vibrate and open a rip in time and space, which he flew into. "Okay, let''s see..." Cool eyes gave Darkness a look before he snorted and then looked at Angelus. "If it''s easier for you to speak telepathically, then do so. We can hear you just fine, okay? And since Shouhin deems you a friend, then you''ll be friends of ours.. if you''re okay with that."

Angelus cocked his head to the side at the word. Holy magik? It didn''t rub him the right way. He wrapped his fingers around his necklace. The crucefix. His wings batted heavily in interest at the sound of a test. He nodded his head, grateful to not speak verbally more.

Thank you. What is this stone that you speak of? He questioned. The words from the boys lips were foreign to his ears. Yes. Friends. His brown gaze went to Darkness.
The bird puffed up his body in unease. What were these children up to?

"It helps those who can''t easily pick a magick choose by sensing the magic deep inside your soul.. it''ll give us the best idea of hat magic we should bother to train you in... the normal way is to slam you with assorted elements til your body reacted positively to it.. but I''ve heard it''s painful and it doesn''t sound like fun.." He gave a faint shrug. "I don''t think Holy Magicks is for you..." Nose wrinkling, he lifted his hand, palm extended to the sky in time to catch a large, jagged piece of clear rock as Mouu returned and dropped it into his hand. His slim fingers held it smoothly cause its edges were sharp and he didn''t feel like getting cut again with the thing.

"So... no Holy?"

"No. His aura screams away from it." Mouu gave a sound of unhappiness before he settled down onto Kali''s shoulders, his wings settling down as the two closed their eyes and extended their hands, the stone pulsing and floating before them.

Anicent gates, barred by time
Untouched and ever spent
We, your Guardians, call upon you
Open the gate, show us the way

A stray sheep is calling
Who needs to be led home
Which path does he take?
Which way is Home?

Air, Fire, Thunder, Ice, Earth and Darkness
Which of these shall be his quest?
What does his soul long for most?
show us the path
Show us the way...

The stone''s vibrations were growing stronger as it circled about the Tale, the twins eyes both a pale white as they waited for the answer only the stone could give. Depending on what it said, Kali knew they might have to take him to their world, danger or no.

Angelus nodded his head. That''s what he needed for being so indecisicive. Being in pain didn''t sound like an option to be picked. He shook his head, agreeing. No holy magic. he responded. A clear rock fell from the sky and into Kali''s outstretched palms. Mouu followed suit. His head cocked to the side when he heard Mous tone. Why did he sound so depressed? He shrugged his shoulders.

The words caused his body to feel at ease. Calm. Relaxed. His eyes started to close. Images flashed through his mind.

Chains, whips, stakes, metal prods, a screaming woman, tears running down her face. Not again, he thought. Oh please not again. This wasn''t him. These weren''t his memories. He shook his head back and forth violently. He was scared, but not because of the scenes in his head. But because of his reaction to them. None. Nothing. He felt nothing for the crying woman or the tortured souls. Deep down inside, he could''ve sworn he heard a sinister laugh. But not him. Not his voice. Angelus opened his eyes. They weren''t the same chocolate brown, they were yellow. A fierce stunning yellow, but as soon as the foreing eye color came, the vanished in an instant.

What was happening?

The things Angelus saw, the stone reflected, the twins eyes flickering as these images flooded their minds. So many things.. tortured souls.. it easily pointed out the elements they could teach him in. Whoa... most definately a Fallen...

Maybe he''s not meant to recall these things, hence such an intense block...

Teaching him Darkness is what he wants... And this eyes were cool!

Enough, Mouu. We''ll go slow. That bird might b***h about it... The twins'' conversation was kept between them and no one else. Recalling the stone, Mouu flipped off Kali''s back, breaking their magic connection. The younger brother was dizzy and held his head while Kali seemed as calm and collected as ever. "We''ve seen inside you..."

"Darkness is the magic we can teach you... however, it won''t be an easy thing.. we''d have to take you home with us... would you mom allow something like that?"

"AND we need to ask our own father before doing anything.."

Short gasps escaped the boys lips. He closed his eyes, trying to collect himself. There was almost a humm in his mind. Slowly opening his eyes, he looked to the two brothers. They were talking telepathically, he knew it, but he couldn''t listen. He shook his head once more.

Darkness? his tone sounded fatigued. The images stood in his mind. It was worse then the nightmares. Much worse.

Uh oh. Mom. I would usually do things without her knowing, but I don''t think that would be a good idea. he nodded his head. Silent needed to know.

Angelus felt gloved hands slide down his chest as Mouu held him gently and the fatigue he felt began to fade away. "Poor thing..."

"Mouu!" A heavy sigh left him as he rubbed his nose. "Please forgive my brother.. he''s rather huggy and he does it without giving people warning. If you don''t like it, just let him know."

"He''s tired, Kali.. But your mom should know about it. There are some secrets that should never be kept from adults... we''ll talk to Daddy and see what he says about it. Is that cool?"

Slowly, Angelus felt energy come back to his body. A giggles escaped his lips. That tickles Moou. he sent to the boy. He looked to Kali, amusement evident in his eyes. It seemed as if his tired self did a one eighty. It''s ok. he smiled.

Angelus nodded his head. It was time Silent knew what he was going to do. Where he was going to go. Tell Akiya? It''s ok. Would he be mad? He didn''t want him to be mad. Not at all.

"Tis meant to tickle a bit!" Purring, Mouu smiled brightly as he just held onto him, cause when people didn''t mind his clingy nature, he tended to not let go easily. "Daddy won''t mind! He says we''re old enough! And if it''s you, then he might be more okay about it. I dunno about big brother Kyoi. but he''s dealing with his own odd summoning thing..." He waved a little hand easily.

"It should be okay. Shouhin''s open with all sorts of things.."

Darkness kept quiet during the whole scene. He would intervene until the perfect time. His black empty eyes watched the two boys.

Angelus laughed once more, but realization dawned. His mom. Uh oh. She didn''t know about the tattoo nor the prospect of learning dark magic. She was a vampire, it wouldn''t be that big of a deal, would it? The woman was fickle. A sigh escaped his lips. If Akiya was ok with it, why wouldn''t she be?

We need to tell my mom. Could you do it for me? She doesn''t know that I use telepathy. Actually, no one in our home knows, except for the beasts and creatures that live with us. There''s enough secrets. I don''t want to add one more. he shook his head.

The twins looked at each other, a brow shifting. "Well, normally people who aren''t used to it, aren''t terribly thrilled about Dark magicks.."

"But since we''ll be teaching out earth, which is the best way to ground yourself with Darkness, we can keep that part of it out." Kali was rubbing his chin, his eyes narrowed in thought. Mouu didn''t like keeping secrets, even if it was the best thing to do. "I''ll talk to her.. Mouu, you''ll only speak when you can.. but if you slip, shut up. Got it?"

Mouu saluted, giggling. "Hai hai! And we won''t tell her anything about telepathy... maybe we could let him borrow some books?"

"If father finds the bookstore place, I''m sure he wouldn''t mind..." His eyes slanted towards Angelus. "So where''s your mom?"

Angelus shook his head. My mom''s not like most other people. he chuckled. She was extremely eccentric.

Angelus nodded his head, a brown tendril falling over his right eye. Whatever''s the safest. He bit his bottom lip. He hoped this plan would work.

His eyebrow''s rose in realization. She was in the kitchen before we left. he stated. She was cleaning up after all the Tales, trying to be helpful.

Darkness stood quiet, perched upon Angelus'' shoulder. Silent and quiet.

But little did the children know, Silent was in the kitchen, but not alone.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

" Leave him alone!" The vampiress commanded. She hated the blonde bimbo.

Glory. That was the other vampiress'' name. The woman let out an evil laugh. " Leave him alone? Dear Silent, you know better than to ask that. Whatever the Master wants, the Master gets. Do you honestly think your shapeshifter was a gift? Please! He was sent to keep watch. To make sure the child didn''t know too much. Small and Innocent, that''s all we want."

Silent was seething. For the time she had Angelus, she taught him all about her lineage. Her people. Her house, it''s members, and her kind. His kind, but the child didn''t know that. Didn''t know that he was graced with the " Dark Gift " her kind called it. Well, the radicals did.

" Small and Innocent. That''s all. That''s what he is. A child. " She snapped.

The blonde laughed once more. Her build was slightly smaller than Silents. Much more petite. Blue eyes looked into brown. " Small? Yes. Innocent? I don''t think so. He''s learning. Too much and too fast. Stop it or I''ll do it for you." The woman started to walk towards the door. In a flash, Silent blocked the entry way. " Don''t you dare." She said in a whisper.

Glory only eyed the woman. " Don''t I..." Before she could finish her sentence, Silent''s hand was wrapped around her neck. Glory gasped for breath she didn''t need. A gurgled laugh escaped her lips. " I don''t breathe you idiot."

Silent returned Glory''s laugh with one of her own. " I wasn''t suffocating you, but ripping out your windpipe wouldn''t feel so good."

And for an instant, Glory''s eyes showed fear. Retracting her lips, she hissed at her with her fangs. No words escaped her lips.

Silent smiled, revealing her own fangs. " You tell " Master " that he will not touch Angelus. If he wants him so bad, he can go through me. " The blonde stood quiet. " Got it?" Silent rose an eyebrow. Nothing left the womans lips. Silent tightened her grip around the woman''s neck. She repeated her words. " Got it?"

" Y..Y...Yes." Glory finally responded. Silent quickly pushed the woman back away from her. Glory looked like a rabid animal, waiting to attack, but she didn''t.

" You''ll be hearing from me." She growled and in an instant, put on her cloak and fled out the front door. The bell rang her exit.

A sigh escaped her lips. " I count on it." She whispered into, what she thought, was an empty room.

February 28, 2005. Darkness' appearance.

Angelus didn't know what to make of the people in the house. Jacklyn sang and dance all the time. Talking about how the stars talked to her and how she did tea with the maggots in the yard. It caused his skin to crawl, but her voice was gorgeous. She could sing like no other. Whenever a rhythmic sound escaped her lips, Angelus would stop and listen. Just listen. Letting her take him into this other world. A world of music and poetry. But Frenchie would usually scold the redhead causing her sweet voice to stop, breaking him out of his trance.

Frenchi. Blegh! Too clean. Her accent gave him a headache. Her heels would clap around the house, arising a headache in his head. The woman was a menace. How did Silent put up with her? He didn't know. So, he explored the house on his own, so he wouldn't have to deal with the crazy maid.

As he traveled the house, Angelus slowly walked up a flight of stairs. And then another, taking him to the third floor of the house. From the outside, it didn't seem like there were many floors, but one had to be on the inside to truly recognize how much space laid in the compound.

Arriving on the third floor, Angelus slowly walked down the dreary dark hallway. Variuos paintings were placed upon each large space along the walls. Candles initiated the light. Brown eyes scanned the area. Childish giggles echoed through the hall. Angelus froze in his tracks. What was that? The giggling grew closer. He turned in a circle, wondering where the sound came from. A door opened to the right of him and two girls lept out.

" Boo!" One girl screamed.

Angelus didn't run, but only froze in place. From shock. Oh my god. Silent is living with crazy people. It was a nuthouse. It had to be.

The other girl wacked her sister. " Be nice. Our fallen angel does not want to have fear put into him, does he now?" putting a sugar sweet smile on, she smiled at Angelus.

The other girl grumbled. They were twins. Exactly the same. " But Dawn..." Her sister stopped her. " No buts." Replied Dusk.

Her twin huffed in resignation. The loud thunder of steps caught their attention. Silent

Silent was running up the stairs. Thank goodness she knew Angelus' scent or else she never would have found the boy. She picked up the silent boy. " Are you ok? Did they scare you." She sent a deathglare to the twins. They both hung their head.

Angelus only shook his head and burrowed his head in the crook of Silent's neck. Her scent brought comfort to him.

She didn't say a word to the twins. Heading down the stairs, she stopped at the second floor. She wanted the twins and Angelus to meet under her supervision. They were a lot to handle at first. Poor thing. She ran her hand over his hair. Walking down the familiar hall, she walked into his room. Laying him down on the bed, well, she tried. His fingers clung around her shirt. He didn't want to be alone. Silent understood. Holding him closer, she crawled into bed and under the covers. When they were comfortable she started to hum an old tune from her days as a child. Before long, both quickly fell asleep.

Rising up the next morning, she still held Angelus in her arms. Walking down stairs, a knock on the door caught her attention. No one came that early in the morning. Opening the door, making sure the light didn't come in, a package laid on the front door. An open box with a crow inside. She cocked her head to the side in confusion. Angelus also looked at the bird curioiusly. He lay sleeping. A note was taped to the side.

" To Angelus." Who knew he was here? Silent looked at her veranda. Who brought it? The bird quickly flew from the box and onto Angelus' shoulder. The child quickly took to it, giggling as it flapped its wings. Wings just like the boy.

Silent didn't know what to think of the strange gift.

Quote:
With sleepy steps Chao decended the stairs, Aido at her side. They were still staying at the Staionary shop as Huni had not returned yet.
She eyed Silent on the couch and waved lightly to the newcomers, yawning widely as she did so.

Aido yawned as well, rubbing her eyes as she hopped off the final step and glanced out the window, grinning as she saw the sun through the windows.
Aha! If it was sunny and not raining she could go outside! And that meant expending some of the restless energy that'd built up, maybe even exploring a bit...

Silent's body lay still. Unmoving. Her chest didn't rise and fall like a human when they slept. But she was a light sleeper. She heard all the noises around her but didn't make any motion showing that she was awake. Angelus rustled in her grasp. She would have smirked but kept her features frozen.

Angelus eyed Aido and Chao. He gave them both a smile, when the bell from the front door caught his attention. The tattoo on his shoulder started to itch once more. Akiya. His eyes widened in excitement.

Darkness slept atop the bookcases. Not making a word. Becoming one with his surroundings.

Feeling his ride come to a halt, he slowly opened his gold eye grumpily. What was going on now? He didn't like waking up right there, the soothing feel of Akiya floating in the air something that soothed him. But they were back at the Shop. Already? But now there were more people. Two others like him and two human-ish types. They appeared human, but he wasn't sure if they were or not. Both eyes open now, he watched this with a wary expression..

Seeing that Angelus was awake, he smiled softly. "Hello again, Angelus." Not knowing the other two well, he inclined his head politely to them. "Greetings. I'm Akiya and this is Jiro. A pleasure to meet you."

Blinking the last of sleep away Chao returned Akiya's gesture, "it's a pleasure to meet you as well, Akiya and Jiro. I'm Chao and this," she gestured to Aido who was leaning against her leg, eying the new Tale curiously, "is Aido."

Aido smiled gently at the new Tale, waving one hand lightly when she caught the boy's golden eye for a moment.

Silent listened to the greetings each parent exchanged. She didn't know if she wanted to converse just yet. Her meeting with Glory really ticked the woman off, causing her to think. To plan. To plot. Her vampire killer instincts usually rose when she felt that herself and her family was in danger. Especially Angelus.

Angelus flapped his wings slightly causing his feathers to rustle. It's good to see you again, Akiya. He sent to the angel. Brown chocolate eyes went to the boy in his arms. Another Tale? The scent in the air revealed that aspect. His eyes flashed yellow for an instant and went back to their natural hue of brown. Angelus kept his lips closed, hiding his sharp teeth. New scents usually caused his more primal instincts to arise. Shaking his head, he felt his canines smooth over, going back to the shape of a regular tooth. He cocked his head to the side, curious eyes scanned the boy. He seemed much different than the other Tales. Wether it was good or bad, he would have to find out.

Kira sighed, running a hand through her hair in frustration as she pushed the door to the shop open, careful not to smack her bulging belly into anything. As the door closed behind her, she gently wrapped her hands protectively over the swell before looking around her. She'd seen the shop around, but her curiousity had finally been peeked enough to go inside.

"Indeed it is, Angelus." His smile was warm before he glanced at Jiro, who was studying him unhappily. Nodding, he set the boy down so he could stand on his own two feet. "Chao and Aido. I'll do my best to remember those names."

They were both watching him, like there was something wrong with him. How nice. Looking at Aido, a brow shifted before he waved lightly before he glanced at Angelus. He wasn't the typical Tale, oh no Jiro was not. But he doubted anyone would easily be able to tell that. Tugging lightly on a white braid, he kept his lips pressed together, not feeling comfortable enough to speak.

"As I will your's," Chao looked at Jiro momentarily, "I take it that little one's a Tale, hn?" How many were there now? It had to be over ten, not that Chao was complaing. It was just interesting.

Aido smiled at the return wave, happy to have even gotten so slight a reaction from the other Tale. That was enough, she moved away from Chao and looked about the room, debating on approaching the other Tale or just leaving him be. It was hard to tell what the other was thinking.
Her bi-colored eyes flickered to Angelus then to window and the restless feeling returned.
Still, she pushed it back and took a few steps forward, smiling to the other Tale, "nice to me' you," she'd finally picked up the greeting, she gestured to herself, "Ai," she looked to Kiro expectantly.

Silent slowly opened her eyes. No point in playing dead the whole time. Raising her arms above her head, her school girl outfit rose above her naval. Her skirt slid a tad up her thigh. Knee high boots imprinted their heels in the couches arm rest. Oops. With a finger, Silent loosened the hold of the collar on her neck. Brown eyes gazed to the Tales and the parents. " Morning." A vampire didn't do very well in day time. Her actions were slightly sluggish as she rose to a sitting position, Angelus was placed upon her lap now.

Angelus flapped his wings a bit more. An action of curiousity. His eyes glanced to Aido then back to Jiro. He seemed distant. Uncaring. How do you approach someone like that? Suddenly he felt his body move. Silent was awake. She placed him on her lap. His brown eyes rose up to the bookcase. Darkness wasn't there. Where did he go?

The bird had flown down to the ground. He cawed and his body rippled out. A black snake with red eyes was in it's place. He slithered his way towards Silent and Angelus.

Silent felt something writhing up her leg and noticed the snake. It must be Darkness, she thought.

Angelus let out his hand and the creature wrapped around his fingers.

Pen looked around oddly, moving towards the book shelves. Being a massive biblophile, they were the first thing she was drawn towards. Even the gathering of toddlers in the middle of the room didn't draw her attention away from the books. She didn't want to interrupt the individuals conversation anyway. She sighed, resting a hand across her stomach as she scanned the titles.

It had been quite awhile since Inle and Tybalt had stopped by the shop, and with the weather being so nice as of late, they decided it was time for a visit. The going was slow; Tybalt, as independent as ever, had decided he was going to walk the whole way. Of course, his short legs certainly weren't going to win any races anytime soon, and Inle stifled the urge to scoop him up and carry him the remaining distance more than once.

They finally arrived, however, and Tybalt pushed the door open, its bells jingling merrily. He stopped a few paces in, surprised at all the unfamiliar faces, and Inle scooted in behind him, making a beeline for the chair she had claimed as her own. Tybalt planted his clawed feet far apart and crossed his arms over his chest. A calculating gleam was in his eye as he silently inspected these new (to him) Tales.

"Hmm? Ah hai, he is. I just recieved him into my care last night. My family and I are doing our best to make him feel comfortable in his new home." Jiro was holding onto the edge of his chinese style shirt and he knew what was wrong. He ws not feeling comfortable. but then again, these were new people. When the bell sounded again, he noticed another caretaker and Tale enter the shop. Ah the pirate one, as Hanai called him. This would prove to be very interesting indeed. "Jiro? Why don't you get to know them, hmm? I'll be over there." He pointed towards where his box was kept. "Not far." Patting his head, he gently got him to let go and sat down at the wall, needing a nap but waiting it out.

Akiya was leaving him alone with them. Normally, he wouldn't care. Actually, he didn't. It took him a bit to gather himself mentally, glad his face showed no outward flicker of emotion. The girl was named Aido... the winged one Angelus... His head tilted slowly to the side as Tybalt arrived, running a hand along his black choker, a slow smirk crossing his lips. Heh, a schemer.. the glow in his eyes spoke a lot.

After he finished his silent study of them, he smoothly settled onto the floor. What on earth did they do with each other? Stare them all down til one caved? Booooring. But what to do in the meantime?

Chao watched the exchange and sighed. The toddlers were quite, but it didn't seem like anything needing the Author's eyes would happen at the moment. She headed over and sat down in another of the plush chairs.

Aido sighed at the lack of a name in return, halo glowing softly for a moment. As the bell jangled and Tybalt and Intel her attention focused on the door for a moment before sweeping over the other Tales.
Nope, no one was really doing much of anything.
With a wave to Tybalt for a greeting she headed for the door. It wasn't quite closed, she could get through. Easy. It wasn't all that heavy after all, just getting it open was difficult from the inside. She wanted to explore outside the shop, before it got dark.

For once, Syrie used the front door - rather, it could be said that for once Syrie wasn't upstairs in his study. No, this time he was brining Khia back from his martial arts lessons, and the small black furball walked beside him in his karate gi, the belt purple with a small green strip - newly added.

Khia was all smiles as he walked into the Stationary shop, and even more so when he saw many of his "friends" - and people that could be friends! "Hi!!"

Syrie smiled nervously at all the people, he reaaaaaaally didn't do well with crowds... and anything over two tended to be viewed as a crowd in his eyes.

Silent watched Angelus and the other Tales. She couldn't remember a time when there was so many together. But it was quiet. Too quiet. Lowering the winged boy to the floor, she stretched her arms above her head, willing the kinks to leave her body. Her eyes scanned the shop. So many people.

Angelus looked around. He noticed Aido leave out the open door. He wanted to follow her. Did she want company? But his curiousity wanted him to stay. To learn about the new Tales. Darkness slithered his across the boys fingers. Angelus flapped his wings and a small breeze went through the shop. His eyes landed on the bird. Wings? Like him? But his were colorful. Angelus looked at his own. Black. His eyes glanced to Akiya's Tale. Too quiet. Shrugging his shoulders, he started to follow Aido. He didn't want to stand around anymore. He looked to Jiro and the bird Tale. " Explore?" he asked, as if inviting them to come along. He nearly collided with the new Tale that walked into the shop. He looked up to him. He was much bigger than the rest, but he didn't want this to interrupt the exploration that may come about.

Pen glanced over at the gathering, blinking a few times. She...must not have looked at the children assembled too hard. A bird, an anthroish... Okie, she was more than weirded out right now. Course...she really shouldn't have been considering she had a girl at home that had manifested from a poof of smoke. But hey, you know how people react to the unusual.

Tybalt nodded first at Aido, watching her for a moment as she came his way, before turning his attention to the others once more. "'Hoy, Keeha," he said, not turning to the gi-clad furball as he greeted him. Tybalt didn't quite like the look of the other two Tales, the oddly dressed boy and the one with wings like himself, and his feathers ruffled, making him appear a tad larger.

He was about to refuse said winged boy's request, but if Ai was heading for the door and HE was heading for the door, then they must be going together, and Tybalt didn't trust the boy around his ally. The child was much too large for his tastes, and he didn't think Aido could take him on in a fight. "'Spose," he said grudgingly after a moment. "Where we go?"

Kiarhu's tail swished and he returned the Cap'n's greeting, turning a bit to glance after Aido. "Ai?" He was excited - his favorite people were there...but who was that strange boy that almost ran into him? The one following his friend? "Everyone going outside?" He asked Tybalt, turning - his guardian forgotten in the excitement of seeing friends, and possibly making more. Khia's fur rippled strangely under his gi, as though it were alive all on it's own.

Syrie slunk off to hide in his study, after waving to some of the others. He had his black book and was scribbling in it, even as he tried to slink away.

Akiya wasn't liking how quiet Jiro was, though he wasn't a noisy child to begin with. He had the feeling this might happen. Waving to Sy when he came in, he looked at Jiro, who wsa now studying him again. The boy was shaking his head. He wasn't going to do this.

Since he hadn't know he was supposed to hand over his name, he didn't offer it. But when there was the offer to go outside, his nose curled. They had to be out of their mind. "No, thank you." His voice was hard to understand at first because his accent was strange. "I spent most of my day outside.. the light hurts my eyes.. so inside I shall be staying." Pushing himself to his feet again, he went over to Akiya and sat in his lap. He didn't want to stay here. He wanted to go home. Closing his eyes, he folded his arms over his chest and waited for them to leave.

Then maybe Akiya would take them home.

"Jiro..." It was weird for him to be this inately stubborn, but he carefully took out his chopsticks and worked on braiding the boy's hair. It probably would have turned out different if he hadn't woken up grumpy?

Smiling at Khia and Syrie Chao stood and slipped away to the kitchen herself. She had a pie to finish, and she trusted Khia and Angelus to watch after Aido and make sure the little girl didn't wander too far.

At her name Aido turned, grinning at the sight of Khia. "Khia!" she grinned happily, noticing out of the corner of her eye that Capn' Tybalt and Angelus seemed to have decided to come with her on the impromptu expedition. She paused infront of the door, waiting for them.
"Wanna e'plore?" she asked the older Tale, eyes shining at the prospect. She'd spent most of her day inside and the restless energy inside her was far too bothersome to ignore. She didn't know what they'd explore but it would be better than staying inside!
At Jiro's decline her eyes flickered to him then back to the door. It was alright, not everyone liked to explore, it was his choice after all.

Silent watched the Chao go to the kitchen. Might as well do something. Rising from her spot, Silent followed suit. She was bored.

Angelus cocked his head to the side at the bird. What kind of tone was that? Untrust? Angelus only met the female Tales, except for Linny. Everyone of them were somewhat agrreable. Angelus stretched his wings over his head. Angelus wasn't one to use his mouth. Rolling his eyes he sent to the bird. Wherever Aido feels like to take us. Angelus sent to him. He rose an eyebrow at the parrot. It didn't seem like he was patient with the boys. Girls he could handle. Guys got on his nerves. Brown eyes rose to look at the taller figure. " Yes. Outside. Join?" Simple one answer words.

Angelus' gaze went to the boy, Jiro. He narrowed his eyes at him. Angelus was definately nocturnal, but even he needed to burn off some energy. A snicker came to his lips as the boy sat on Akiya's lap. Wear shades. Be a child and stay behind. Even a girl has more energy than you. More will. How sad. He sent a smartallick reply. Even though he was Akiya's child, he didn't appreciate being brushed off like nothing. He really didn't get along with the boys. Oh well. He could live with that.

His gaze turned to Aido. " Explore?" He wanted to leave as soon as possible.

Darkness wrapped his way around Angelus' neck and perched himself on the boys shoulder. Looking to the other winged boy his body rippled. On Angelus' shoulder perched a parrot with the same markings as the boy. Darkness looked like an actual Parrot to a pirate. He cawed. "Land ho. Land ho. Full speed ahead." Angelus only rolled his eyes. Show off.

Tybalt scowled at the boy who dared to invade the privacy of his thoughts, his talons digging a bit into the floor of the shop. His anger was averted, however, by the miniature version of himself perched upon the boy's shoulder, and he emitted a rare chuckle. "Weerd bird," he said, before turning away. "Where we go, Ai?" he asked.

Khia nodded, but then glanced back at the very sullen looking boy that had climbed into his parent's lap. "Khia come out and explore in just a minute...'kay?" His ears wiggled, making the tassley tufts dance a bit. He didn't want to leave anyone out, and this person had a VERY intersting scent. The boy with the serious expression seemed to be making Cap'n irritable - Kiarhu caught that from the body language...but he knew that going outside with Aido would make them feel better. "Hi, I'm Khia" He went over to Jiro, and though he couldn't smile per se, he could emote a smile with his tail and such. "Who you?"

The look Angelus was shot could have easily curdled milk, his eyes glowing in irritation before he scoffed and looked away. "To be called a woman cause one wants to rest their feet after running around all day? Be that it is to you, I care not." He easily dismissed Angelus, looking at Akiya like he was nuts. Akiya had told him that this tale with wings was rather interesting. Sounded like a stuck up punk to him.

Now another was botherng him with his presence. One who looked nothing like the others. "Jiro..." Since he had just asked for his name, Jiro saw no reason to not tell him. "You be?"

Chao looked over as Silent came in and grinned, she'd already gotten out all the ingrediants she needed to make homemade pudding and a previously frozen crust was on the counter, "wanna help me finish a pie?"

Aido glanced back to look at the possible brewing confrontation between Jiro and Ang'lus.
She placed her hand on the door and pushed it open, waving her free hand towards Khia, "see you soon Khia!" she called back before looking to Tybalt and Angelus and smiling, nodding a greeting to Darkness, "yes e'plore."
At Tybalt's question she paused, pushing the door a little father open, "I'unno where we go.... Where'r we go we go, righ'?" she asked, cocking her head. It didn't matter where they went to her, just the fact that they could explore someplace new was pleasing enough for her. The fact that her friends were coming with her made it all the better.

Silent smiled and walked over to the counter. " Sure. " Silent turned her out to the outer door. In a loud voice, she called to the owners. " Would anyone like pie?"

Angelus was barely fazed by the boys look. The winged boy only rolled his eyes at the pompous boy. He really was lazy. He'd rather have his hair done then do physical activities. It seemed womanly to him.

His gaze turned to the feathered boy. He also had an attitude. A look was shot to Darkness at the comment. Weird bird. He shook his head. He must correct this boy. " Not a bird. A shapeshifter." What a child. Without another word said, he followed Aido out into open air. His eyes squinted in the sun. He never like the light, but his urge to get out and do something far outweighed a little light flooding his vision.

Darkness only eyed the winged boy. His thoughts went to Angelus. Weird bird? How he laughs when I mimic his own colors. Strange child. Yes. Child. Angelus, why do you hang around such children? You're far much better than they are. Stronger. Smarter. Why? Why be around them? Darkness questioned. The time was coming. Soon.

Tybalt shrugged; bird, shapeshifter, to him it didn't matter. The creature imitated him, and it stroked the vain part of his ego quite nicely. He strutted towards the door, his puffed feathers belieing his contentment. He turned back towards the remaining Tales before walking out the door. "Come soon, Keeha, k!" A tone of easygoing authority laced his voice; this wasn't a command, per se, merely a suggestion.

"Aye Cap'n" Khia responded, turning his head from the colorful boy-child for a moment to comment to the parrot boy. "Kiarhu. Everyone calls me Khia." He frowned at the strong words between the boys, and shook his head. "Sometimes tired. Khia gets tired after class, Sensei says rest is good." the shapeshifting felid/lupine child flicked his tail slowly. "Jiro is a good name. Very pretty clothes too. Sure you don't want to come with?" The dark fur shimmered and seemed to crackle and shift strangely if Jiro looked long enough.

As far as he was concerned, Angelus wsa someone to ignore entirely. Someone who listened to a shapeshifting bird was so much smarter than he was? Oh he highly doubted that. It wasn't like Angelus had done anything wrong by politely declining so Angelus' rudeness was not needed. Perhaps he should rip out that smart tongue of his... but he curbed the thought. Shouhin wouldn't like that much. However, he had better things to do than deal with idiotic Tales. He cared not if he was friend's with his father or not, they were not going to be friends. Ever. Akiya wound up his braid and put the chopsticks back in place while Jiro yawned slightly, covering it with a long sleeved hand.

Oh he noticed that something was very different about Khia. It caught his interest as a faint smile showed on his face. "You smell interesting... you can change shapes hmm?" It wasn't that he was a knowall or anything, but it was just something he could feel. At the invitation, he wrinkled his nose. "My presence isn't overly welcomed, so it's fine. Mayhap some other time... thank you for the offer, Khia..."

Trying to ignore the fact Angelus and Jiro were most definately not getting along, he called to the ones int he kitchen. "I'm good with pie, thanks."

Chao grinned evilly at Silent, "you are now my minion. Prepared to spend upwards of five minutes stirring this stuff."

Aido grinned as the sunlight washed over her, away from the trouble brewing between the two Tales and into a world of infinite directions to set off in and even more places to explore.
Still.... she knew Aemu would worry if they wandered too far. Best to stay more or less close to the shop.
She turned to Angelus and Tybalt, "Ang'lus and Capn Tybo wanna e'plore ou' back?" she pointed to the path that led to the backyard of the Stationary Shop, "or somewhere else?"

?Oh heavens no. A minion? Fine, I guess stirring is in order." She took the bowl and spoon and continued her mission. " Ok! " She yelled out to Akiya.

Angelus didn't listen to the bird, but it didn't stop him from thinking. He shook his head to rid himself of the thoughts. They're not children. They're like me.

Darkness only laughed at the boy. You have power. An inner power. A power that the others are jealous of. Do you see how the male's treat you? With no respect. Why? Because they're jealous. Darkness filled the child with crazy theories. The bird didn't talk like this. Not until now. Not when the trap was so close.

Angelus turned his attention to Aido. He didn't want to stray too far from the shop. " Backyard." he answered. It was sensible. In case anything happened, the grownups were near by.

Tybalt pondered this for a moment. The road beyond the shop seemed to beckon to him, promising adventure and appealing to his love of exploration. However, there was Ai and the boy to consider. He had no weapon, so he wouldn't be able to protect his ally should they encounter danger, and the boy...well, Tybalt didn't really believe he would be able to defend himself. The backyard really did seem like the most reasonable choice. "Backyard, ya." Perhaps there would be something interesting back there, in spite of the fact that there was no adventure to be had while getting there.

Khia tilted his head, but nodded - it wasn't often that people understood what he was. Viddy's mom had known, yes...because she was scented the same way. "Yup. I'm shapeshifter!" The tall furry black child swished his tail again, as if he were thinking something over. "Come? Cap'n and Ai and Khia want Jiro to come." Khia's mind was no where as simplistic as his speech, but he found it hard to form words with a muzzle. "Shouldn't be like Syrie, always hiding." Of course, Khia meant no harm with what he said, and he genuinely wanted this boy to come out. He was pretty. He had long hair, and feathers like Tybalt and Viddy...plus, he smelled veeery interesting.

Jiro was rather pleased with the fact he had been right in his guess and he scratched his cheek faintly before he shrugged. Father wanted him to interact with others. And if he could keep a decent distance from Angelus, then he highly doubted anything would happen. It wasn't like he wanted to talk to him or anything of that sort.

He didn't take offense to what Khia said, but he did sigh. "Not hiding... but I'll come..." He lived away from the shop anyway.. he saw tons of adventures there. But there weren't any like him. Still not showing much emotion, he got down from Akiya's lap. "I'll follow you then.."

In the other room Chao's faux cackles could be heard as she went about empting the last of the things into the pot and checking that the crust was holding up alright.

Aido grinned, "then we go!" she cheered, glad they all agreed. She cast a last glance back into the shop, but couldn't see into the shadows and Rael seemed to be in no mood to go investigate for her.
She just hoped Khia would come along soon, if he got Jiro to come it would be good too, she just hoped, if that was the case, he and Angelus didn't start fighting like they'd seemed about to in the shop.
Her halo glowed uneasily at the thought of a possible approaching conflict, though it mostly looked as if it was just refracting sunlight. She shook it off and hopped down the stairs, beginning to make her way towards the backyard, predicting the future was usually useless anyway.

Angelus followed Aido and Tybal to the backyard. The sun shone down brightly on the ground. He always felt an unease in the daylight. He didn't understand why. Darkness kept talking to him.

Angelus? Angelus! Are you listening? You insolent little thing. No wonder God kicked you out.

Angelus froze in his tracks. What did he say? His brown eyes looked to the parrot on his shoulder.

That's right. You were disobedient. Never listened. God didn't want you so he kicked you out. And you fell. And kept falling and until you fell to the deepest part of the earth. The hottest part. Your white wings burned from the ashes and heat. Do you wonder why they're black? Well, now you know. The parrot rose up from his shoulder and landed in front of him. His little form rippled. This time, an older man stood in his place.

A tall man with black eyes and black hair put into a ponytail. Not as long as Akiya. Only to his shoulder. He wore a pressed suit. Smiling, his fangs shown behind his lips.

I think you need to be taught a thing or two. Before Angelus could do anything, the man was on him. He wrapped his hand around the boys mouth. Silencing him. The winged boy kicked, trying to looses the man's hold. Opening his mouth, he bit down on the hand. Hard. A yowl escaped Darkness' lips. He looked towards a tree that was in the back yard. " A little help here?" In an instant, a cloacked figure stepped from behind the tree. She took the hood off. Glory. A sinister smile was on her lips. She put the hood back on.

" Must a woman do everything. " Taking a potato sack she ran over to Darkness and quickly dropped the bag over the child. The bag squirmed. She tied it up. A smile came to her lips as she looked at Darkness. "See? Easy." Darkness put his fingers to his mouth, mumbling. With his free hand, he placed it on her shoulder. In a few moments they were gone.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Silent was preparing the pie when a howl was heard from the back of the shop. It wasn't a childs howl. Before she knew it, a feeling of dread swept through her body. Dropping the bowl and spoon on the floor, her legs raced out to the backdoor. She forgot that it was day and the sun was out. Opening the door, she stopped at the doorway. She watched Glory come from behind the tree and quickly sweep Angelus up in a potato sack. Coherent thoughts didn't run through the Vampiress' mind. She ran out into the daylight. For as long as she lived, older vampires grew to be able to stand in daylight for a longer period of time, but it was still deadly and could kill. She ran. Ran towards her screaming son, but Darkness vanished. She ran towards the tree. Gasps escaped her lips. Third degree burns ran all over her skin. Before she knew it, she dropped to the floor in shock. She didn't register the pain. Her face was blank.

Angelus was gone.

Khia "smiled" at Jiro, tail swishing happily; fur doing that strange shifting motion it did when he was excited. "Come then, we'll sit and watch them!" He waited to be certain Jiro would follow, and then lead the doll-like boy outside to the back porch of the stationary shop. There was a small table there, and chairs for the adults, and also a small table and chairs made for wee-ones that Syrie had brought out when Khia began practicing in the yard weeks ago.

At the sudden scruffling noises Aido turned, taken aback as she watched Darkness transform. Immediately Rael was at her side, caution and stealth thrown to the wind, the Shadow beast snarling deeply at the man and woman.
Aido hesitated, just for a moment, as the potato sack went over Angelus' head she snapped away from it and charged. Only to trip as they group dissapeared.
Pushing herself up she looked around franticly, "Ang'lus?! ANG'LUS?!"
A voice surfaced in her mind, I don't understand! Yesterday they were happy and healthly, we were all joking and laughing like tommarow would never come. But now... now, they're gone...
She shivered and pushed it away as Silent ran past her. Running after the woman and throwing her hands over her as she fell, Rael shifted, becoming a much larger beast, his own shadow covering Silent, keeping her out of the sun's deadly rays.
Immediately Aido was looking around again, tears of panic and fear for her friend trailing down her cheeks. Where was Angelus?!

Chao had immediately followed Silent as the woman ran out, pie forgotten. But they were too late, even as the dagger she always kept sheathed and hidden at her side slid from its case the group had dissapeared.
Immediately her eyes sought out Aido, instictively making sure her daughter was still alright.
Aido was, Silent wasn't, Angelus was missing.
Shivering at how quickly everything had just come to pass Chao ran over, her mind so frazzled that even questioning Rael's sudden appearence was out of the question.
"We-we need to get her inside," she murmered, focusing on what they could do as she took hold of Silent, instead of their inability to know where the other Tale was now.

"Un..." He followed after him a bit hesitantly, still unsure if he really wanted to be doing this or not. But he had given his word and he would follow it. If it was just them sitting somewhere and watching then that was just peachy keen with him. But something seemed to be happening, a fit of panic that he more felt than really saw. However, a scent was missing. The loud mouthed annoying one... that scent was missing.

Seeing his father come bursting out of the shop made him wonder. This must be serious if his father looked that angry before.

"Damn it..." He had felt their energies and now they were gone. He was worried about Angelus...

Khia finally noticed the commotion, his head cocked curiously. "What going on? " He noticed someone was missing....the one that was irritating Jiro. The one with...that thing...yes, the thing that was Other. "Where he go? What happened?" Khia's tail poofed out, his red eyes glittering strangely as he checked to be certain the others were okay....

Aido glanced over at the new voices moving with Chao and Rael as they began to haul Silent towards the Stationary Shop. Obviously shaken, though her tears had stopped.
"Ang'lus' gone. Darkness n'nother lady took him," she dropped her gaze and glared at the ground, still moving. She was angry at herself, regardless of how much she actually would have been able to do, she wished she'd done something more. But mostly she was scared for her friend....

Beside her Rael looked over at the other two Tales, he looked rather like a very large canine of some sort, golden eyes glowing from within the shadows.
He really disliked being in the open, but Aido didn't want the woman his form was keeping in shade to burn anymore, so what choice did he have?

"They just disappeared, Silent ran out, she tried to get to Angelus. Now she's in bad shape, sunlight and vampires don't mix. Khia do you know where the first aid kit is?"

Khia nodded - better than a first aid kit - he knew where Syrie was. Syrie was a healer. He'd seen his guardian heal his small scrapes and cuts with ease. "I'll bring, wait just second!" The shapeshifter child zoomed back into the shop, and then upstairs to where the hermit-kitsune was.

"Silent hurt! Come down, come down!!!" Kiarhu grabbed Syrie's hand and pulled the kitsune until the words sank in. Once Syrie understood he grabbed a first aid kit, and actually lept out the door, movements as swift as any creature born of the spirit realm.

Outside, his sharp eyes quickly took the situation in; and he knew they had to move Silent. She couldn't be in the sun like this...nor could he help her when she was in the sun....they needed to move her inside, and he said as much, as he knelt by the prostrate woman.

Khia came out of the house after Syrie, no where near as fast as his guardian could be, he was worried. Aido was worried. Syrie was worried. Someone was missing again...and...this was Not Good.

Chao nodded her consent to Syrie and hefted Silent up into a better posistion for carrying, watching as Syrie grabbed the opposite side, and quickly heading for the Stationary Shop. She managed to keep Silent's form in her, Syrie and Rael's shadow as she went, constatntly double checking herself to make sure a stray limb didn't slip into the sun's rays.

Aido followed quickly, still worrying, still unsure of what to do, but at least the adults seemed to have some idea as to what to do. Her mind felt dull with shock, though at least that seemed to be a step above or below, she didn't know the panic she'd felt a moment before.

Silent watched on. Jiro? She was surprised that the Tale even did it, after witnessing the interaction between himself and Angelus. It definately must have taken a lot of coercing from Akiya. Blue eyes met the angels.

" Will he be ok? I'm not sure what kind of blood he needs. He's...." She sighed. She didn't want to say the words but now that he knew, I guess it was ok. " A fallen angel and you don't normally come around easily to blood like that. Jiro's human, right?" she asked the man.

Angelus slightly stirred, but then went still. The wounds healed up instantly. Color slowly came to his face.

"No, I highly doubt Jiro is a human.. his blood will work cause he's a Tale.. and they came from the same Tome. They might not like each other but its the better outcome..but he'll be fine, I'm sure of it." Taking Jiro hand, he kissed it to heal the wound. "Arigato, Jiro.."

"...." He wasn't looking at Angelus or Silent, only focused on his father. When he got his hand back, he looked it over, flexing the fingers a bit. It looked okay to him. Hearing Angelus start to wake up, he snorted and went to lean against Akiya's back. Sure he helped him.. didn't mean he wanted to look at him more than he had to.

At this point, he wasn't going to force Jiro to do anything he didn't wanna do. He looked relieved when Angelus began to stir. "Angelus?"

Silent didn't snatch the child out of Akiya's arms. Too much movement. Angelus didn't need that. But she literally was almost on top of Akiya, looking over his shoulder. " Angelus?" she whispered. Maybe her voice would help.

Angelus slowly tried to move his body, but it ached all over. A hiss escaped his lips. He went still once more.

Silent watched the small body move. A smile came to her lips, but her eyes widened at the hiss. Pain. She knew that type of moan. Cocking her head to the side, she placed her hands on top of Akiya's shoulder, leaning over a bit over. Something caught her eye. On Angelus' neck, there were two scars. Two holes were the bite marks were. She shook her head. As long as the wound was closed, that was all that mattered.

"Least his body is moving freely... but he's still in pain. Though it's to be expected." He didn't mind that Silent was practically hanging over his shoulder. SHe would want to be holding her Tale, just like he would if it was Jiro in Angelus' stead. "He'll need a lot more rest before we can know for sure if he's all right or not... not only is he weak from the attack but the transfusion is draining as well...."

Noticingher looking at his neck, he studied the markings himself. Hmm these kind of vampires were different than the ones he knew. "Will they go away soon? The scars?"

Silent nodded her head. " Yes rest." She bit her lip. She couldn't take him home. Jacklyn, Frenchie, the twins, especially the house's ghosts. It would all be too much for the child. Shy eyes slowly went to the man's. " Um... If it would be ok, which I'm sure I am overstepping my boundaries, if Angelus and I could stay with you? Until he's fully healed of course." And she also needed to tend to her own wounds. She quickly changed the subject due to the question.

" The scars? I'm not sure to be honest. My kind, well my breed, we don't scar in our vampiric years, but the scars we had as humans stay there. Forever. We don't gain new ones. But Angelus..." Her hand smoothed his cheek. She looked like she was about to fall over, but amazingly she kept her balance. " He's not a full blooded vampire. And even then, there are many breeds of vampires. The one's that look human, such as myself, and others that... Take on the beastial form. There faces permanently disfigured. But that's only a small portion of vampires. There's so many types and hybrids. Angelus is one of them. So... I don't know what this could mean. What any of this mean. He's definately an evolution of our kind, but I don't know what that means for him." She shook her head, a sigh escaping her lips. She hated not knowing.

"Hmm..." He took in everything she had to say with a thoughtful gaze. It was a lot of information to take in all at once, but his ear flicked and it was obvious to see that he was storing info to use for later or something like that. "Well, since we don't know, we can't speculate... tis another thing we'll just have to wait a bit to see what'll happen. Even if that is so... now his blood is mixed with Jiro's.. anything is rather possible..."

At the request to take them back with him, his smile came easily. "But, of course. Anyone is welcome to my dimension and I know there'll be more than enough roomf or both of you. Sometimes, a little peace and quiet is all one needs." He stroked Angelus' hair, ignoring the angry images flooding his mind from Jiro. "Just something you should know. It'll look like the sun is out in my world, but it's a carefully crafted illusion. It' really moonlight, so you won't have to worry about going outside at anytime. You won't burn away or anything. I just thought you'd like to know that." A faint smirk crossed his lips. "My world.. id definately a trip heh."

A chuckle escaped the womans lips, sure that Akiya would have refused. " Thank you. I appreciate it. Truly. It would be nice to have another sane person about. My home?" Another chuckle escaped her lips. " Is definately an insane asylum."

Silent bit her bottom lip, an act she usually did when in concentration. " Jiro mixed with Angelus, huh? I wonder how he'll take to that." She mused outloud. Brown eyes went to the infuriated boy upon hearing that Angelus and herself would be staying with them until things got better. Her eyes locked on to the angel's.

" Um.... Do you think he'll be ok with it?" Her eyes went to the silent Tale. She didn't want to overstep her boundaries.

"Nah, Jiro's not gonna be happy with the arrangement, so Angelus won't have to worry about seeing much of him, cause he won't come near him. Least I know this way there won't be too much chaos at my house." His mind was filled with an assortment of angry imagry that were definately rather violent in nature and hse grabbed the Tale and nuzzled his nose. "It'll be fine, Jiro. Don't get like that."

He was not going to be so easily appeased. That stupid Fallen twit was going to be at his house! Great now the peacefulness of his home was going to be fouled with his presence and his stupid Watcher! He was anything but pleased. giving a look to Silent, his eyes narrowed before Akiya set him down again and he clung to his father's robe tightly. Oh, Akiya was right about him not coming near them. He'd slit his own throat before going anywhere near Angelus or his watcher!... unless they went first, of course >>

"It'll be fine. My house can be a bit busy at times, but it's not bad or anything.." Standing, he carefully transfered Angelus over to Silent so he could work on the portal home. It didn't take longer before he had opened the anchored space back home and opened the exit to their current position. "Please. After you."

Silent nodded her head. " A shame. I would have liked them to be close. Like you and Angelus are." She sighed. Silent backed away from the angel and Tale. The look that the child sent her definately confirmed her thoughts. Angelus and herself were definately not welcomed. A sigh escaped her lips. Well, he was going to have to deal with it. Angelus' life was her main priority. She wasn't going to have a midget feel guilty for asking help from Akiya. A chuckle escaped her lips. She could guess were Angelus got his attitude. She let father and son have their moment.

Silent happily took Angelus in her arms. Bringing her head down to his neck, she inhaled the familiar scent. She closed her eyes. His scent was different. It was probably from the bite, or the blood trasfussion. Another sigh escaped her lips as worried eyes looked over the small form. She turned her attention from Angelus to Akiya. Cautiously she looked to the portal. Taking a deep breath, she slowly walked forward. " There's always a first. " Silent didn't know what to expect of Akiya's world.

He didn't want to get the stupid boy but he had been told to so he dashed off to do so, putting his chopestick back into his hair as he caught angelus on his back. His steps lagged cause the other Tale was definately not the lightest, but he kept going, his wings fluttering as they raced into one of the tunnels. One of these led out. And he would find it.

Silent shook her head, watching Chao step through. She would die for Angelus. Taking a deep breath, she gathered as much strength as she could. She dove. It seemed like time was at a standstill. The air was cold. It soothed the burns on her body. Much better. In an instant, her body fell into a dark tunnel. Looking around she noticed that Chao was not too far. Her eyes looked towards where a burst of light slightly illuminated the tunnel. Two small figures seemed to be running right towards them. Angelus was in the arms of the smaller one. Quickly, rising on two feet, she dashed for them. Closing the gap between the two, she snatched Angelus in her arms. A sigh of relief escaped her lips. She had him. He was back. Another look at his face and her body froze. He was pale. Incredibly pale. What? Moving his face to the side, her stomach rose to her throat. Two bite marks. Blood trickled from the wound. She seethed. Bloodlust was a far better way to rise one's energy. The lust for a certain someone's blood. And she knew the scent that came from the sound. Glory. Silent looked to Chao and deposited the child in her arms. " This has to finish." With that she sprinted down the tunnel, avoiding the light.

Glory screamed in agony. Not just from the bite of the creature on her arm, but the light that bathed her body. With a fling of her arm, she threw both child and beast away from her down the tunnel. With as much speed as she could muster, she dashed out of the light's way. Half her face bubbled from the sun. A roar echoed throughout the cavern.

The master couldn't believe it. Everything was falling apart. He was going to finish this. Once and for all. With just a thought, he was behind the angel. His hands went for the man's neck.

Darkness watched on. Frightened. A coward. He huddled in the corner. He didn't know who to help anymore. Either way, he was a dead man.

Chao deftly caught Angelus, cuddling the boy to her chest, quickly feeling for his heartbeat. She looked down at the other boy and smiled thankfully, before the light caught her attention.
She knew that light.

Before Aido could move as the Angel's voice rang out she was flying through the air and heading for the cavern's floor. Hitting the rock with an audioable thump her formed rolled a bit before Rael managed to get himself under her, tendrils of Shadow wrapping around her to keep her safely on his back as he raced towards Chao, Angelus and Jiro. Her halo dropped and her light went out as her eyes fluttered closed.

"Aido!" Chao cried, still gripping Angelus as she ran the last few steps, scooping her daughter up and holding both Tales to her, her head on Aido's chest, eyes closed as she feverently listened for her heartbeat. As she heard it she nearly collapsed against the wall, heart beating like a jackhammer as she released the breath she'd been holding. Aido was alive, unconscious, but alive....
As the roar sounded she looked towards the main cavern but stayed where she was, not about to leave the two Tales again or drag them back towards danger simply to see what was going on.

When he felt himself get lighter, he easily skid to a halt. Seeing who had him, he sneered. Ungrateful but what did he expected. Noticing Chao's smile, he only turned away from her. Whatever, too late for that. Glad to just have the other Tale away from him, he shook out his kimono. He could hear the chaos going on about him, but it only made him smirk. Ah well, such was the world. After this was said and done, he wasn't dealing with other other Tales. So far the ones he met left bad tastes in his mouth, except maybe Khia but that was something else entirely. He might visit him. But at that moment, he didn't care about it much. Too bad he just wasn't strong enough to help his Shouhin...

Though he was still young, he wasn't strong enough to help him... but one day he would be... a cold smile came to his lips as he chuckled to himself. One day, he would take the world down. Ah.. what wonderful carnage that would be... even if a tiny part of him was hurt his behavior was forcing him to be isolated. He wanted friends.. but on the other hand, no he didn't. Thankfully, the choice he made would not cause him to have trouble sleeping at night. Not in the least.

But the roar, he spun off and hurried back towards Akiya. Father...

"Aww.. what's wrong? Your plan fall through?" Moving quickly, there ws a bright burst of light before the Master found himself flying through the air and towards the nearest wall thanks to a very huge mallet. Snickering, he spun it esily in a hand before he rested it on his shoulder. "Isn't that just too bad for you?" His face was expressionless before he glanced at the mallet. "Heh, I guess Obi's little mallet fetish did come in handy.." The mallet head was huge and obviously very heavy, the handle made of slender metal. It was also about the same length as his entire body. But he weilded it easily before he felt Jiro's body bump into his leg. "Jiro.." He then looked towards where Chao was and smiled, glad to see that they were safe.

He felt his form fly through the air. A snarl escaped his lips as his body fell to the floor. That was it. An incantation left his lips. Pursing together his lips he let out a breath of air. The ground started to freeze up. It headed straight for Akiya. The ice glued the angel to his place. Perfect. Lifting his body up he looked to the angel. " We won't finish this here. We'll meet again. I promise." With that, he ran down one of the deserted tunnels. Out of danger.

Silent ran right behind glory, grabbing the woman's hair she wrencher her head back. A sinister smile came to her lips. " Miss me?" Pure terror was evident on the womans face. This was personal. Rage ran through Silent's body as she easily threw the woman across the room like a rag doll. Glory felt her body knock into rock. Gasping for uneeded breath, she slowly rose to a standing positioin. She spat out blood. A smile came to her lisp as she eyed Silent. " Finally. This will be interesting. " With a burst of speed, the woman ran for the brunette. As soon as Glory was close enough, Silent ducked under the womans outreached arms. Bringing her right arm up, she brought it around Glory's neck.

" Yes. This will be interesting."

Darkness crawled towards the tunnel. Dread filled his being as he noticed Chao and Aido. He didn't get to close.

"Is she ok?" he whispered.

Chao looked over towards Darkness, eyes narrowed in vague worry and she held Aido and Angelus a bit closer, still listening with half an ear to the fighting going on in the cavern.
"She'll be alright," she murmured, soothing down her daughter's hair with her fingers, "she's lucky." Her last comment was said more to herself than Darkness.

Blinking a bit as his feet were frozen to the ground, he snorted as the 'Master' beat a hasty retreat. "Pfft, I'm sure we will meet again.. if you're brave enough to slink back out of your hole." Recalling the mallet and allowing the magic to sink back into his body, he picked up Jiro and checked him over. He was fine, that was expected, he supposed, cause Jiro hadn't really done anything. After a bit, he found the weakness in the spell and used a small one to shatter the ice and free himself. Thumping his boots firmly on the ground in order to get the ice shavings off, he went over to see how Angelus and Aido were doing. "We really should get them out of here... Where's Silent?"

Darkness slinked back to the other side of the wall. Watching. He had no where to go. The Master surely wouldn't take him back and he doubted that Angelus and Silent would take him back as well. A sigh escaped his lips. He didn't know what to do.

Screams echoed throughout the cavern.

Glory brought up her hands and went to scratch out Silent's eyes, but the brunette knew that move. Bringing up her knee, she placed it on the small of the blonde's back and pushed her away. The petite woman fell to the floor. In an instant, Silent sat upon her back and grabbed a fistful of hair. She lowered her lips to the woman's ear.

" You went too far." She spat venom out at the woman.

The blonde could only chuckle. Chuckle up blood. No words left her lips.

" So many things I could do. My fingers itch with the anticipation. " Silent's silky voice laced through the cavern.

Glory's eyes widened in fear. She knew what the brunette was able to do and it brought a shiver down her spine. She'd stake herself then go through that kind of hell.

Chao tilted her head at the screams, "I think she may be beating Glory into a paste," she mused.

At one particularily loud scream Aido opened one eye to a slit, grimancing as pain and exhaustion hit her.
Owo, waking up had been a bad idea.

"Ai..." Chao smiled at her daughter, checking her eyes and other signs for a possible concussion, not that she was an expert, but she knew the basics. She'd check further once they got home, but Aido seemed more or less alright, if not exhausted, "go back to sleep, we'll be home soon."

Aido looked around, careful not to move, not ready to take her mother's advice just yet. She smiled as she caught sight of Angelus, Akiya and even Jiro.
Her eyes fell on Darkness and she blinked, vaguely wondering what the shapeshifted would do before settling back into Chao's arms, too tired to think about it, and fell back into unconsciousness.

Chao barely noticed, as she was forceable keeping back the usual sympathy she had for 'lost' things as she looked over to Akiya, "should we go find her and head back?" she glanced at Angelus, "Angelus has lost a fair amount of blood...."

He wasn't overly interested in this right now. Least Aido was okay, but she had been the one to put herself in the line of danger. Crazy girl...

"I agree to that.. We should find her before she ends up getting hurt if she's tired or anything.." his eyes showed a deep concern for Angelus as he pressed light fingers against his neck, a healing spell passing over his lips to slow down the flow of blood. He couldn't afford to lose any more. "I think Silent is having a bit too much fun though >>"

Silent turned the woman around. Now she was face to face with the blonde. " I'm not sure what to do with you. Spare your life? You didn't think twice about draining Angelus dry. Or should I end it now." Reaching behind her, Silent took out a small pointy piece of wood. Debris that littered the tunnels. He softly placed the pointy end to where the womans heart would be. " Decesions decesions." Silent mused out loud.

Darkness just stood silent. Quiet. A smirk came to his lips as he heard Glory's scream. She deserved it.

Chao huffled out a breath, fine, she'd go ask the bloody woman.
Standing straighter she deposited the two Tales in Akiya's arms, "look after them for a minute, alright? I'm going to go ask her if she wants to be left behind to play her little revenge-torture game or come with us."
She didn't want to stay in the place longer than she had to, being underground was not her ideal environment.
Poking her head into the cavern Chao spied Silent and Glory. Ignoring the blond vampiress she looked to Silent. "Silent, we need to get going. Do you want us to just head on without you or will you be done really, really soon?"

Blinking as two more Tales ere thrust into his arms, he tilted his head as Chao went off. He never understood girls well, not even his own sisters. Hearing massive amounts of grumbling, he felt Jiro shift about and climb onto his back, his ear twitching cause he yanked hard on his hair before he settled down. >_o But he kept Aido and Angelus close. However, he also opened a portal back home while he waited. Just so there wouldn't be anymore time wasted than needed.

Silent looked up from her position on the woman to Chao. Her brown eyes stared into blue ones. Without a warning the wood dove through skin, tore through muscle, and pass the bone. With one last shriek, the body beneath her shattered into a million pieces. It was done. She was done. A sigh escaped her lips. Slowly, she rose to a standing position. " Finished." She whispered. Slowly, she walked towards the tunnel, slightly stumbling, but amazingly standing up. "It's time to go home." she nodded.

Chao paused and blinked, staring the new pile of ashes before turning to Silent, eyes wide and curious, "you mean vampires really go 'poof!' when you stake them? I always thought that was just a myth...."
Turning she offered Silent a shoulder to lean on as they headed back into the tunnel. "It's definately time to go home. All of us. Lost no longer."

Akiya waited for them patiently at the now constructed portal. After herding them towards it gently, he looked at Darkness with a crictal eye. He had betrayed Angelus by bringing him down here into this hell... should he leave them there. But this wasn't his decision, nor his choice. Silent would have to decide what to do when it came to him. "Come.. I don't wish to keep this open for too long. It'll attracted unwanted guests..."

Silent thankfully rested against the woman. Nearing the tunnel, the saw an already opened portal, thanks to Akiya. Brown eyes went to the silent form in the corner. What to do? He betrayed her trust especially her sons. What good was he? Brown eyes looked into black? Was that remorse. A sigh escaped her lips. She turned her attention back to the portal.

" If you truly are sorry for what you've done and want to make amends, then come, but If you try anything else, I swear you will regret it." She warned the shapeshifter. Silent slowly stepped through the portal.

Darkness lowered his head, but slowly rose to stand. Cautiously he walked through the portal. After Silent.

Chao gently took Aido back from Akiya, eyeing Darkness as he stepped through. Hopefully the shapeshifter wouldn't try anything again. Maybe he'd use his second chance for the better?
She shrugged to herself and stepped towards the portal after Darkness had gone through, Aido sleeping in her arms. Briefly she looked back. She didn't see Rael's form. He seemed to have vanished for the time being, not that she'd expected to be able to find, let alone interrogate the Shadow.
With a sigh she stepped through the portal.

Nodding to Chao, he looked down at Angelus in worry before the final three went through the portal and came out back at the shop. Jiro used his hair to slide down to the ground and walk on his own two feet. He was really glad to be out of that place. He watched as Akiya studied Angelus before looking at Silent. "Will he need a transfusion? He's lost a lot of blood..."

Silent quickly was next to Angelus side. Her fingers ran through his brown hair. " Come back to me. Please." She whispered. Watery eyes looked at Akiya. " Anything, just please help him." Silent couldn't offer her own blood. She was dead. Unliving. Someone needed to do the transfussion. "Who will do it?" she questioned to the open room

Setting Aido down gently on one of the couch cushions Chao yawned, heaven she was tired, and shrugged, "I'll do it if needbe. If my blood will work that is," she hadn't been witness to many transfusions, was there a specific kind of blood needed? Would her blood cooperate with Angelus'? Too many unanswered questions.

"I don't think our type of blood would work, Chao... and I don't wish to use Aido for something like this. Not in the state she's currently in... And even if we could use yours, you are way too tired. I would not wish to place added strain on you... You should rest while this is going on... to catch up.." Biting his lip, he looked over at his sulking Tale and he made him look over at him. "You need to do this, Jiro."

"Out of your mind.. he's no friend of mine..."

"But he is a friend of mine. Jiro.. please. Aido's too weak and my blood definately wouldn't be compatiable."

"And how is that? He's an angel. You're an angel. Piece of cake." He was waving a hand, trying to get out of this. He did not wish to help him!

"Jiro! Stop being so stubborn! Im asking you as your father, help this Tale." He could see the war of emotions on the doll-like face and could practically see the war going on behind those bi-colored eyes. Jiro didn't want to help someone who had been rude to him for no reason, but there was that part of him he knew he had. He was able to accept Akiya and his family, he could feel compassion. "Please.."

Even though everything was screaming at him to not do so, he sighed heavily. "Fine.." Removing a chopstick, he opened his palm and ran the sharp edge over it, cutting into his skin. No flicker of emotion showed on his face as he went over and placed the cut over the punture wounds in Angelus' neck. Black energy gather between them as he felt his blood get drained into the other Tale. This hurt in its own way, but he said nothing. It wasn't like he would be thanked for this nor did he wanna hear any. When he finally was able to pull away, the holes in Angelus' neck was gone and Jiro felt sick. He would have fallen had Akiya not grabbed him

"Now we just need to wait...”

Chao had nodded at Akiya's words, it'd be horrid if they tried to use either of the authors blood and it only made Angelus sick or, worse, tipped him over the edge into death.
With a soft yawn she settled down on the couch next to Aido, closing her eyes and playing with the tassels of the still sleep Tale's scarf as she listened to Tale and Author arguing. It was only moments before she slipped away into sleep herself.

"No one can predict the future, Silent. That's something that is left to the Gods hands.. they deal with it as they see fit. As I see it, these two started off on the wrong foot. It might change. It might not.. one never knows." Jiro was ignoring her, scoffing at her 'a shame' statement. If Angelus hadn't thought he could be rude to Jiro for no reason, he was sure they wouldn't have been any issues. Simple as that.

Through the portal was a massive estate, seven stories tall, a dark mahgony in color. Surrounding the estate was a gravel walk and behind them was a spiralling driveway that probably led outside of this world.. to the 'real world'. Surrounding the house was green.. and a lot of it. Forests were everywhere to be seen; huge hills and somewhere came the rushing sounds of waterfalls. "Sorry if the sounds come all at once. This place is rather big and could take weeks to full explore. Welcome to Homegrounds." There were males around at the current moment. A lot of them. Curious about the female, they looked to Akiya, who waved a hand to show she was a friend and they all went back to what they were doing. "This is the Main House, where my family and I stay."

Feeling Jiro begin to wriggle, he set the Tale down and let him dash up the steps leading to the opened front door, showing a male with huge wings waiting for them. "This is my mate, Sah. Sah, this is Angelus and his Watcher, Silent." The slight male came down the steps, scooping up Jiro along the way, his pink eyes showing motherly curiousity as he bowed, his dark brown hair getting into his eyes.

"Welcome to our home, Miss Silent. I've been hearing so much about you from Akiya and it's nice to have outside visitors every now and then. I was so worried when I heard Angelus was taken... will he be okay?" Sah wasn't an angel, but an Isshina, an earth and air being of his race. Isshinas weren't holy, but the only breed with wings. "Please come in. I'll be happy to show you around." It was obvious he was barely curbing in his need to giggle and bounce about.

Silent nodded her head, knowing all to well about predicting the future. It never worked. " Gods or no gods, people just live life day by day. That's how I see it. There's no point in making plans when one doesn't know what could happen tomorrow. Or the day after that." Her eyes went back to the Tale. Her eyes went into slits at the scoff. What an attitude. She turned her attention back to the portal. Stepping through, she was introduced to a gorgeous veranda. Not at all like her own home.

A lot of greenery decoarated the grounds and the house was huge. Gorgeous. Silent loved mahogany. Silent did noticed the many sounds, but being around for as long as she had, she easily tuned them all out. Silent walked up to the front door and was greeted by another man. A man with wings. A thought came to her mind.At least Angelus won't feel out of place. she thought.

She also returned the bow, keeping Angelus close to her chest. " It is also nice to meet you." A man? For a mate? Well, It definately cleared a lot of things up. A sincere smile came to her lips as she rose up. " You have a beatiful home."

Surprised eyes went to Akiya. " You talk about me? I don't know wether to be insulted or grateful?" she joked with the angel. Brown eyes went back to Sah. " Angelus? Hopefully, he'll be ok. That is why we're here. My home is not fit to tend to his needs at the moment. My home is filled with screeching hormonal females. Not at all good for Angelus." She smiled. She left the small part out that it was also haunted, but she didn't want to get into that.

Silent happily accepted the invitation as she passed through the entrance. It seemed like the real adventure was only beginning.

Sah giggled softly as he let her enter their house. Here's where it got a bit twisted. The first thing one would notice was a huge flight of stairs, that went off in seven different directions after a certain midway point. Some spiralled one way, others went another. But there were two sets of elevators to the side of the stairwell; one gold and the other grey and mahgony. "Why, thank you very much! Though, all thanks should go to Akiya. He built this place all one his own."

The angel quickly waved his hands to ward off any sense of praise. "Heh. it's just what I do when I have a lot of free time."

Sah shifted Jiro in his arms, smiling as the boy cuddled against his neck and purred. "Ah, how Akiya and I met was a bit complicated.. he saved me from someone who was hurting me.. and we ended up staying together.. I'm very lucky to have him as a mate." He knew he was embarassing Akiya, who wasn't good with any sort of praise directed at him, but it was the truth. and he was proud of his kind and loving mate. "Oh, nothing bad! I promise you that! When Akiya met Angelus, he came hom, gushing like a happy puppy. It's not every day he makes a new friend so he tends to rave about them for a bt. He's like a kid sometimes, but it's so cute! A few rules though. The gold elevator is kinda off limits, as is the seventh level of the house. The floor is Akiya's workspace and the elevator leads to his office. So unless he says it's cool, it's a no touchy. Anywhere else int he house is fine.. though there are some doors with ruby knobs. Those won't open unless you have the right key." He was used to listing off the rules of the place and he smiled when he was done. "There are five kitchens here. Two on this floor, one massive one on the second floor, one in the Master bedroom and one in the backyard. Each room has it's own hot tub and bathroom so I doubt you'll have to go in search of one... hmm." He gently tapped his finger against his chin. "Anosah, am I forgetting anything?"

"Not really. We also have a lot of studies so if you get bored and wanna read, you can lurk in any of them. You might run into Jitn or Follien but they won't bother you really." He knew that Jiro had a bit of an attitude.. but he was still learning about him, so he couldn't fully explain why about everything. But Jiro was in his defensive mode, which made him seem rather high and mighty. "Sah and Jiro'll show you to where you can pick out your room. Any other questions you can think of, Sah'll answer happily. Neh, Siinim?"

"Yushi!" A bright smile painted his face as he indicated the stairway. "Let us go. We're heading to the third level."

Silent nearly froze in amazement. " Wow." she whispered. It reminded her of a Labryinth, the way the stairs parted off into different directions. She wouldn't be surprised if one them led her to walking on the ceiling. Two elevetors? Well, the house was huge. It made sense.

Silent sent Akiya a smile. " And what a craftsman he is."

Her attention went back to Sah. The smile on her lips widened at the story. " A knight in shining armor, huh Akiya? " Her gaze traveled along the man's body. " I can picture it." she chuckled.

" I know what you mean. Angelus was in a great mood that day, but he always kept fiddling with his shoulder. I'm not sure why. Do you know?" she asked the angel. Her attention went back to the other male. Rules. Silent wasn't one for rules, but it was in her nature. She was a guest and would abide by them.

" No gold elevator. Got it. I'm not a gold person anyway." She joked. " Mahogany will do just fine. " Kitchens, hot tub. Got it." She nodded her head after each comment. Slowly, she would be able to remember everything.

Her ears nearly perked at the mention of studies. " A study? Perfect. I love to read. It would definately help with the downtime." She nodded. Silent's tanned belly silently growled, not being noticed. Her bathing suit top was held secure to her chest and her blue jeans fitted her curves perfectly. She shifted the boy in her arms to hide the sound. She'll eat later. Somehow. A giggles escaped her lips. She loved Sah's personality. It was refreshing to say the least.

" Third level here we come." She followed the small group.

Akiya's ears were a dark red, which was his sign of embarassment as he coughed and waved his hands a lot more. "No! NO! Really!! It's nothing! Ahehehe.." Sah couldn't help giggling at him cause he was so embarassed and he knew he would have to calm him down later Sometimes, Akiya got angry about his constant praise. It wasn't something he did on purpose, Akiya's anger, just.. a bad reaction due to his past. "I just like to be comfortable is all..." If he had his wings out, they'd be fluttering to try to cool his overheated ears.

Sah nodded at that. "Oh yes, a knight in shining armor, indeed. He watches my race and he didn't even have to! We owe him a lot, our entire race." Sah tilted his head she talked about touching his shoulder a lot. "Oh, you mean that tattoo? Akiya gives all people he considers friends a tattoo, it helps let them know when he's near or something like that. Our sons have them too, just cause they think crescent moons are nifty." Sah hadn't exactly been warned about keeping the tattoo a secret from Silent, and he was an honest creature so.. yeah there's one secret blown. "And don't worry about the rules. There aren't that many cause Akiya personally distests them... it has something to do with his grandfathers..." The way he said that word and the look on his face showed there was a huge issue behind that. But that ws something else all together.

"I picked gold cause I had the feeling it would keep people away from it.. don't ask for the reasoning, for I can't give it really >>" Chuckling a bit nervously he rubbed the back of his head before he let Sah take her off. He was damn hungry so he headed off to the main kitchen.

Sah led the way up the steps, his feet barely touching the ground it seemed as he danced his way up them. "Oh.. and since you're a vampire, I'm sure you'll need something different to eat right? If you'd like I can take you to a place where several of our vampire friends like to feed. However, it depends on how you eat hehe." Once they were on the floor itself, she found herself in a hallway with oriental rugs ont he floor and several doors. "Please pick a room. If you find it to your liking, you can claim it freely." His eyes rested on Angelus and he gave a small sigh. "I really hope he gets better... such a horrible thing to happen to one so young.." Jiro was strangely silent, just holding onto Sah with no expression at all one his face.

Silent chuckled at the blood flow to the angels ears. The heat resonating off the man nearly caused her being to bubble with laughter. Akiya was embarassed. "You ok there, Akiya?" Silent wickedly smiled at the angel. It was fun to tease a person now and then.

Silent's laughter stopped in her throat. What? A tattoo? Her fingers quickly went to Angelus' shoulder. A crescent moon. Sah was right. Angry brown eyes went to the angel." Ooooo.... If he grows to want piercings, I will blame you." She said in a flat tone. She was angry, but she wouldn't show it. " You and I are going to have a talk later. Since you've been so kind and generous, I'll be, somewhat, docile. But I can't promise." Her attention went back to Sah. She could hear the catch in his tone. The Grandfathers. She stored that away for future questions. Not now. Not the time. Maybe later.

Silent finally smiled. " Who know? Gold means different things with each person. I don't like it so you don't have to worry about me." she nodded her head in affirmation. Her gaze went to the retreating angel. She followed Sah up the steps.

Silent let out a relieved sigh. More vampires? Perfect. " Yes. Different." she responded. She didn't know wether or not the male would be skittish at the mention of blood. " How I eat?" she wondered what that meant. Her boot cladded foot dropped along oriental rugs. Silent picked the room that was the farthest away. Even though she was grateful for the hospitality, she couldn't help her instincts. She was private. A loner. Her gaze went to Jiro then to Angelus.

" Angelus.... Such a troublemaker." A smile came to her lips. " Always getting into things, thinking he could do anything. Conquer everything and anyone. Such a proud person, but they don't realize that they are still children. Just children. I don't know if I regret teaching him so much. At times I am amazed by his intellect, but at other times..." A sigh escaped her lips as she hugged the form closer to her chest. " I wish he would stay a child. Know what a child should know. That the world is a great place. The sun shines bright, butterflies flutter and birds sing in the trees. Innocence. But not anymore. He grew out of that stage... Rather quickly might I add. They're just children. Only children. They have so much time to grow." Her slender fingers ran through the childs hair.

Angelus slightly stirred, as if seeking the touch.

Silent stopped. Angelus stopped. No more movement. " He comes in and out of it. I hope he comes out of it soon. " She mused out loud.

"Hai, I'm fine.." His ears cooled smoothly before he gave a faint smile at the look she was giving him. "Oh yes, we shall. DOn't worry, it's nothing that'll damage him and it's as easily removed as it was given." Akiya didn't often like being teased about things, but he did know how to take it in stride, so he didn't let it get to him much. But the tattoo was something Angelus had been worried about. "Angelus warned me you wouldn't like it.. but he seemed so happy about the thought of having a friend.. I wanted there to be a way for him to get ahold of should he need me. And heh.. I won't touch the piercing department thanks.."

"Yes, I am very curious. Some vampires feed off energy of a humn, others need to drink their blood. Either way is fine with us, we just want to know which so I don't take you to the wrong place, ya know?" He didn't seem to mind that she picked a room farthest away from others. It was about whatever made her comfortable and that was it, then it was fine with them. They weren't the type to really push.

At the talk of Angelus, Sah looked down at Jiro and smoothed some little locks of hair out of his face so he could slumber peacefully, cause the Tale had fallen asleep rather quickly. But Sah was used to it. "All children are troublemakers at some point or another...but at this age, children think they can do anything. Nothing touches them.. nothing can hurt them.. hehe never regret teaching them wht they know. It's always best to let them learn the harshest things early. Then, as they grow, they can work out the whys and such themselves. That's how they become strong.. it's how they truly grow." Cuddling his little Tale, he looked at him. "Come just think that they have to shut themselves away.. but all children have reasons for their behavior.. sooner or later, that behavior shall come to light.. then we as parents can see the person that child as become."

When Angelus stirred, he looekd a bit hopeful. "Well.. Akiya did say that transfusions of that sort can take awhile to recover from.. plus his body has to adjust to Jiro's blood as well... but he should be fine when he finally comes to..."

A smile came to the woman's lips. " I'm not entirely mad. It's just... I'm not one for surprises. And knowing Angelus. He'd probably like to keep it a secret still. " she made a motion of zipping her lips shut. " I won't say a word. If it's between the two of you, then so shall it be. But no piercings." She teased the angel.

Her brown eyes went to Sah. " Energy? No. Unfortunately, I do carry a bloodlust, but I'm easily satiated and for long periods of time.

Silent nodded in agreement. " That is true. Thinking that they are invincible. Kids." she chuckled. "See how they become huh? That will definately be a journey." She laid Angelu's head on her other shoulder, switching arms. Her arms was starting to fall asleep.

" I just... I don't like not knowing. And Jiro's blood is definately something that I would like to know, but will have to wait and see. Until Angelus comes to, I won't know." She smoother her hand over the sleepings boys head. Her stomach growled once more. This time a little louder. A blush came across her cheeks. "Sorry. I can't remember the last time I ate. And with my burns." She looked down at her body. " Eating would definately help." she nodded.

"I swear. No piercings!" Akiya was highly amused at this point, munching on the orange he had snagged from the kitchen. He usually tottled about behind Sah on these things cause he liked to know where people and things were. "A secret made. A secret kept. And all is good." The angel was easily amused.

Sah nodded to that. "All right. I'll tell Kona when we reach the Gate. Heh you'll see a lot of similiarities between him and Akiya.. but I'll let Kona explain it to you when it happens. I still don't fully understand it myself." Hearing her stomach grumble, he chuckled. "best to feed you soon, I think. And we're still learning about Jiro ourselves.. he's not a typical child, just like Angelus isn't...We're not exactly sure what having his blood inside him will do, but we are positive it'll help him live."

Since he was used to carrying little ones about for hours, his arms weren't tired, but he could tell her arms were starting to get a bit numb. "You can lay him on the bed so we can go get you some food now. No one will harm him here, I promise."

"We can let Jiro stand guard. The best way for those two to get over their issues is to let them be near each other. Jiro won't try to do anything violent in the house. He knows better." That had been something Akiya instilled in the child quickly. There would be no violence at all in the house. For any reason.

How long had it been? Centuries? She couldn't remember the last time she felt at ease in anothers home, other than her own. Her body visibly relaxed as if all the tension from being on guard, swept away. Mischief glittered in her brown eyes. " No piercings. Well.... When he's older. Much older. Than... Maybe." She chuckled.

" Kona? I guess I'll just have to wait and see." Silent learned quickly. The people around Akiya's world couldn't be described to you. You had to see it; personally. She was more of a visual learner than anything else. Seeing things made her process the information quickly and efficiently.

Silent, unconsciously, huddled the child closer to her bosom. She knew he was safe, but still. The events were still to fresh in her mind. Her eyes fell to the top of his head. " Ok. " Her eyes went back to the male. " Jiro? Stand guard? Let's hope these two don't kill eacother." She chuckled. Slowly, she walked down the hallway and into the room she claimed. Softly, she placed the still child on the mattress. Bringing the covers up, she tucked the blanket under his chin. Delving into her bumpy pocket, she retrieved his moogle. His plush. No matter where he went, he never left it behind. Except for the day Glory came. Quietly, she placed the plush close to him. Placing a kiss on his forehead, she left the child be.

Walking towards the two men, she looped each of her arms through Akiya and Sah's. " Well, let's go handsoms. We must get this lady something to eat. You don't want me to wither and die on your doorstep, do you?" she easily joked with the winged beings. A thought came to mind. Was she the only female on the ground?

The two chuckled as Sah went and placed Jiro in a plush chair close by the bed. Taking a feather from his wing, he spun it and then seemed to stretched it out til it became a blanket that he used to tuck in his newest little baby. Taking his chopsticks out and letting his hair fall as it would, he tucked them away and headed back to the other two, closing the door after him."Akiya waited til he was a teen to get any other piercings other than the ones his mother gave him when he was a baby. Good to have family momentos. And dun worry. Jiro'll be good."

"I suppose." He tugged at his piercings on his ears before he shrugged. "We simply can't have you wither and die!"

"That makes us look bad, ya know?" They smirked and chuckled as they led her back to the staircase and up one that seemed to spiral a lot.. and move. "This one'll take us to the Gate.. but you'll see what we mean when we get there." They travelled easily through a hallway til they got to a wall made of black onyx. There seemed to be something pst it but there also seemed to be no keyhole. Sah looked at Akiya. "I don't have it on me today..."

"Ah, hai. Then I have it." Going tot he wall, he pressed his hand against it and then pulled his fingers back slowly, something metallic swirling about his fingers. "Hehe back to work I'm afraid..." There was a faint hurrng sound before the metallic.. thing.. whatever it was.. seemed to merge into the wall, causing it to slow pull open. The room they entered didn't have walls, a floor or a ceiling. It was as if they had stepped into space itself, which, in a sense, they had. Swirling masses of several colors were everyhere one turned as the three entered, the door closing behind them.

"Well well well.. seems you like to call me at the best of times, Akiya." A figure sat on what appeared to be a tombstone of some sort, holding a small baby in the crook of his arms. This being looked exactly like Akiya, though with some differences. This male had black dog ears tipped in red and a tail of the same make. His wings were black with glowing red tips and he looked rather.. demonic. "And you have a new friend." Fangs shoed as he smirked.

Sah gave a squeal and gently detached himself from Silent to go over and pick up Kona's baby, squealing and bouncing about. "Eee! She's soo cute!"

"Oy oy! You wake her up and you deal with her!" While the two 'argued', Akiya turned to Silent.

"That's Kona, my evil half. He'll take you anywhere in the Dark Dimensions you need to go. He's a bit of a smart a** but he won't do you any wrong hehe."

" I guess a teen is ok. I don't think, honestly, that Angelus will be a very obediant teen. Dear me, I'll be the first vampiress in history to have grey hairs." She smiled at the men.

Silent followed the men to a staircase. One that moved? Well, she seen stranger. " The Gate?" She shook her head. Like she said before. Gotta see it to believe it. The trio stopped in front of a black wall made of onyx. She had jewelry made of that stone. It reminded her of her jewelry back at home. Home. A sigh escaped her lips. Maybe Akiya would let some of her family members come and visit. Her brown eyes went from Sah to Akiya.

The room they entered was black and dark. Nothing. Emptiness. Silent wasn't afraid. More intriqued about the room, than anything. Then colors came into view. Odd.

A voice caught her attention. A figure sitting upon a tombstone. A smile came to her ruby red lips. She created that image many a time when she hunted in a cemetary. Dumb teenagers. They should listen to their parents. Things did go bump in the night. And she was the one that pushed with all her might. She took in the figure. Akiya; only not. Angelus would have liked to see this person. Black wings. He definately would have liked him. " Yes. A friend." Silent turned her attention to Sah who literally squealed at the sight of the little girl. She chuckled as the two argued.

" Evil half? " She'd ask Akiya about his evil half some other time. Food was her main priority. " A smart a**, eh? He's about to bite on more than he can chew." She gave a sly smile to Akiya.

"Heheh grey hairs aren't always sexy.. unless you're born with them, then they work." Akiya was rather amused as he nodded. "Mmmhm.. the darkness side of my soul.. it's easier that way..."

After Sah got caretaking rights of the little infant, Kona hopped off the tombstone, letting it blow itself away as he made his way over to the two, looking Silent over with a faint smirk. "Vampirey bbe, huh?"

"Heh, no touchy, Kona. You just watched Shou give birth remember?"

"Scary experience that." He waved a hand, snickering under his breath. "So how can I help you people? Since you called me, I might as well do something.. especially since I had to bring Middah here with me.. and you know how stingy Shou is about taking her anywhere far from her."

"She's hungry... she needs to go into the darkness dimension, so could ya take her?"

Kona's brow shifted up at that before he studied Silent for a bit. it wasn't often he had to take someone else with him intot he Darknes Dimensions.. well other than his 'twin' anyway. "Yeah yeah all right. You'd best follow cause if I lose you, ya stay lost."
