Kurai's eyes widened as the unexpected darkness surronded him
oh no.. did that spirit get into me? am i now controlled by darkness!? oh wait.. Kurai rose up his left hand and let out a yell of anger. "RAHH!!!" He yelled and a massive flame exploded through the cloak burning it into various shreds of flames. Kurai once again saw the sunlight shine down onto his face. but something blocked the sunlight still..
Kurai let out a suprised gasp. two kunais rushed down twaords Kurai.
so he dosent just use Katars.. Kurai smirked and quickly twisted his sword into a special angle where the kunai just richoted off it catching on fire and then fell to the ground harmlessly. Kurai smirked.
Kurai the other Kunai!!!
Kurai suprised from the sudden voice of the mysterious dark user he frantically twisted his sword into another angle almost missing the Kunai. The Kunais force shoved Kurai off balance as he stumbled backwards along witht he heavy sword. Kurai quickly lashed his sword above his head throwing it into the ground behind him to mantain balance. Twisting his body back twoards Ky he held his head angrily.
"damn..." Kurai muttered angrily. He placed his hand on the necklace. "still there.." Kurai sighed and then looked over at Ky. He was sweating now. He had trouble mantiaing mental control. "heh.. this isnt going too well is it..." Kurai then faked a weakened state but then smiled and launched a fist in an upward motion as soon as Ky rushed forward at him. He knew he would thought it would be a great opening.

What?!
From out of nowhere, Kurai's fist appeared, coming straight at Ky's face. With barely enough time to react, Ky broke off his attack and twisted his head to the side, grabbing Kurai's hand as it swept past his head. Kurai had definitely gotten smarter over the summer, luring Ky in with a feint, but there was not time to think. The momentum of the punch sent Ky up. Pushing off of Kurai's fist, Ky landed, cat-like behind Kurai and kicked his feet out in a sweep.

a predictible fighting style.. Watch the feet Kurai!
Kurai held his head with his free hand."I saw that Already!" Kurai yelled out to no one and then leaped up easily from Ky's Sweep. It was a very weak and subtle jump almost getting hit by the sweep. But this gave Kurai an upper hand now. Kurai smirked and rose his blade up above his head with both hands.
"DIE KY!" Kurai yelled out in a different voice. For that time and that small second somthing came over Kurai. A different motivation to battle Ky. It frightened Kurai himself. His body become suddenly weak as he wondered if that voice really belonged to him. This made his attack much weaker and slower then it was meant to be.

Still on the ground, Ky spun a second time, this time kicking his legs up at Kurai's head, hoping to knock him back before he had time to bring his sword crashing down on Ky. Unfortunately, Kurai saw the attack coming and stepped back. Ky's foot missed Kurai's head, catching the necklace instead. The clasp broek and the bright amulet sparkled, as it flew through the air, landing unceremoniously a couple feet away. Lashing out with his other foot, Ky caught Kurai firmly the stomach, sending him staggering backwards. Wasting no time, Ky jumped to his feet and sent a kunai flying straight at Kurai's head.

Kurai's whole mind went into slow motion as his necklace broke off. MOTHER AILI! PROTECT ME! he yelled out in his mind as his whole body went numb. he watched slowly as the angelic pendant slowly fly by across the staduim. The necklace let off a trail of sparkle before landing onto the ground with a tink and then bounce off the staduim.
Thats more like it.. I have to thank Ky later for this.. Now....

Kurai suddenly felt a cold air about his body. his body seemingly dissepeared before him. what where...
Kurai found himself back in his meditation mind room. There in front of him was Mind Aili. "well Kurai congratulations. You now have a Mind parasite within your body." Mind Aili said shaking her head.
"WhaT!?!??!" Kurai yelled out and looked about the giant void inside his mind. "you mean somone took over my body!?"

Kurai quickly caught the kunai with two of his fingers and then held it in front of his face. He then gave the kunai a thoughtful look.
"My my.. You have changed pretty boy..." Kurai said with a smirk. "So this is the body of the new Kurai... weak.. Pitiful.. Submitted to that stupid Priestess.. what a waste.." Kurai then tossed the Kunai off to the side and straightened up.
"how do you do pretty boy?"

Ky took a step back out of surprise. Kurai was not that fast. Something had happened when the necklace came off, and it didn't bode well. Jumping backwards, Ky put some distance between himself and Kurai.
The way Kurai stood, the way he talked, the arrogant look in his eyes, it was as if this was a totally different person. Not to mention the speed. Overhead, the clouds blocked out the sun completely and lightning began flashing in the sky, basking the arena in bouts of blinding light before returning it to darkness.
It didn't matter what had happened to Kurai, Ky decided. The only things that mattered was how it affected his fighting abilities. From what Ky had seen, he had gotten much faster. Ky would have to step it up a notch. Although this new Kurai did seem to enjoy talking as much as the old one, his words were arrogant and full of spite. Ky smiled a dark smile. This might prove interesting yet.
"Pretty boy? That's a new one. Not much of an insult though. I hope your reflexes aren't as slow as your brain."

Kurai ignored Ky's word and looked straight up at the gathering dark clouds. His red eyes seemingly gave off a new glow, as darkness crept about them. He smiled and then lifted up his hand catching a few raindrops as they begun to fall. He then lifted up his flame blade looked at it casually and then easily tossed it away with one hand. The Flame blade hit the ground and quickly evaporated.
"Just like before..." Kurai closed his eyes and let out a smile that seemed to spread over his body. "I waited sooo long Ky.. " he then stared straight forward at Ky. "Come out Pretty boy Ky.. i know your there.. come out and fight me!" Kurai yelled out. Kurai then looked at his palm curiously.
"Whats this?" And he ignited a Flame at the palm of his hand. "The Holy Flame?" Kurai smirked and then let out a toothy grin. The Flame let out a glow onto his face and body. His body shook unnaturally and the flame quickened its dance. and then finally as if it couldnt dance anymore it exploded and let out sparks around Kurai. A new Flame took its place, a purple flame. Its glow was much weaker then the orignal one. "bettterrrr..." Kurai said like a snake. He slowly turned his head twoards Ky and let out another toothy smile.
"Lets see if i still have this.." Kurai then pointed two fingers straight at Ky and extended his arm straight out twoards Ky. The flame moved from his palm to the tips of his two fingers.
"Kurai Nightmare!" He yelled out and then he pressed down his finger making it like gun. the flame became a powerful purple flame that screamed across the staudium twoards Ky.

Kevin was still standing on the pillar, looking down at the fight between Ky an Kurai. He mostly stared at Kurai whom was undergoing a new form in personality and fighting capability. Kevin smirked as he tthought "So....Kurai isn't as different as me, having such uniques hidden and locked in him. He changed his sight, turning it over to concentrate on Ky's status. Kevin grinned as he saw, heard people, giving possible distractions or hold-backs for Ky and Kurai. "Ahhhh !!" Kevin began to complain with a low voice but he didn't matter, he would finish anyone who would give even a slight distraction with their meaningless words which were useless related to the battle.

The purple flame screamed across the stadium towards Ky. Fast. Too fast. Ky barely had time to bring his arms up to protect his face before the searing heat slammed into his chest. The shear force knocked the wind out of Ky and sent him sailing backwards through the air, tumbling to a dusty stop several feet away. Ignoring the throbbing feeling in his chest, Ky pushed himself back up off the ground.
What the hell was that...
This new speed and power, it far surpassed anything Ky had encountered before. He didnt' know if he could win this fight. But...that's what made it fun.
"Is that the best you can do? One measly little fireball? I barely even felt it"

"EheheheHAHA!" Kurai eyes widened with excitment and his body bent forward. "Come on out Ky! I dunt want to fight some lil punk here! I want the real KY! So Hurry up and come on out before i burn this new body of yours to a crispy potato chip!" he then threw his hand behind him holding it above his head. Quickly another Purple flame emitted at the center of his palm.

"Oh great.. i dun't think this Devil Gekkou knows of your body's limitations.." Mind Aili said shaking her forehead.
"Wait what do you mean by that?" Kurai asked twitching an eyebrow.
"Your freakin weak compared to the past Kurai..." Mind Aili simply putted it. "And since Devil Gekkou is having too much fun to relize it, you may die of exhaustion. Especailly with all his Devilish spells he is summoning up in your body. You light aura within your body may be completely posioned by darkness andddd well. You die."
"WAHH!? and what am i suppose to do about this!? I'm trapped in my own mind!" Kurai rubbed his head angrily. "This sucksss......"
"We can hope that Ky wins the battle." Mind Aili said pointing twoards the orb in her staff. There they could see what was happening outside.

Kurai then rose down his finger straight forward at Ky again. "hehee....Fine don't take my warning Pretty boy...You won't have much of a body to fight with then..." and with that said Kurai pushed his thumb down again Firing off another pillar of purple flame straight twoards Ky. "YAHHA! Kurai Nightmare!!!" Knowing that Ky saw the first move, he figured he could easily dodge it. So he fired off 3 more following straight along with Ky's movements.
Each blast slammed into the sand or stone wall Kicking the terrain up everywhere. Sparks of Purple flame flew about with the raindrops and lighted up the battlefield with a haunting Purple glow.
"hehee...." Kurai kept smiling throughout the battle. "Too long.. waited too long!" He said to himself. "Blood Hail!" He yelled out and lifted up his hand and outstetched it twoards the sky. Then from around his body a dark black puddle formed on the ground. Black ravens with Red jeweled eyes came out fromm underneath the puddle forming from black raindrops. Soon the sky above Kurai became filled with black ravens with blood red eyes. The puddle became nothing as it seemingly evaporated back into Kurai's body.
"hehe.." Kurai chuckled,. "Ill give you one last chance Pretty boy! To come out and fight me! Or this body of yours is gone!"

(I'm sorry, this is just too awesome to not post in. Don't worry, I won't interrupt your fight or nothing. That cramps my style, talking while spectating... blech. Plus, your fight is too beautiful to mess it up. Anyways...)
Rayan's steps echoed as he walked through the underground tunnel that led to Ria High's alternate battle arena, Dark Prayer. He had heard a rumor that one of Miss Aili's students was fighting here, and he was greatly interested in seeing how one of her followers fought.
When he reached the stairs leading up to the battle arena, Rayan ascended them slowly and casually, his echoing footsteps heightening in their pitch. He could look out and see the battlefield now from where he stood near the top of the steps, dark and stormy and rainy as it was. In fact, it was too dark, to the point of being ominous. Rayan couldn't make out the two dark figures fighting in the wide-open space. One of them had his back to Rayan, with his hair blowing about him by a tempestuous wind; the other was no more than a black shadow far off, running along the opposite end of the arena wall.
Then Rayan got a glimpse of the figure in front of him when he turned his head slightly. A twisted gleam shone from his eyes, making him seem eerily demented. A shiver went down Rayan's spine. Could this possibly be the student Rayan had come to watch? Perhaps the rumors had been wrong. But then, Rayan recognized who it was by studying his appearance.
Kurai?! It can't be...
Suddenly, a pang shot through Rayan's forehead, and he stifled his cry of pain by pressing his palm against his forehead. Images shot through his mind. A weapons shop. Scrambling over the counter after a silver-haired person with a gun in his hand. The bright, gleaming eyes of a hard-lined, metallic figure. The glowing flashes of plasma rifles going off. Then the images faded. They had lasted for less than a moment each, yet each one was distinctly clear for its brevity.
Rayan leaned up against the wall, slowly shaking his head. What did the visions mean? And what had triggered them? Rayan wondered if it had anything to do with the battle he had come to watch, which reminded him that he had come to see it. He turned his head back towards the arena and peeped out behind the wall to watch, while remaining out of sight.
(wooooo random plot stuffs! ...yeah...)

The purple flames shot towards Ky, even faster than before. But this time, he at least knew they were coming. With rivaling speed, Ky rolled quickly to the side, the tower of fire blazing bye inches away from his skin. Before Ky even had time to look up, he could feel the heat of another wave directly in front of him. Reacting on instinct, Ky dove to the right, straight into the path of another flame. Knowing he would not be able to dodge this one, Ky grabbed the hilt of the Eternal Sword and with a great heave, used the mystical blade to cut the flame in two. Re-sheathing the sword and getting back to his feet, Ky looked up only to be met by a swarm of black. Thousands of blood thirsty red eyes pierced from the blackness of the sky, seeming to star hungrily into Ky's soul.
"Ill give you one last chance Pretty boy! To come out and fight me! Or this body of yours is gone!"
What is he talking about?
Suddenly, Ky felt a warmth from deep inside. A strange glowing aura surrounded his body, then slowly moved away from him. The light began to materialize into a human. He was tall, and had golden hair. His clothes were composed of odd looking robes and he carried a white-bladed longsword at his side. The figure suddenly turned to Ky.
"We meet at last Ky"
Ky arched an eyebrow.
"The hell are you?"
"Allow me to explain. I am your past life. Long long ago, in an arena just like this one, I fought against a merciless and evil demon named...Kurai. Yes, he is indeed the past life of your friend. It seems that, being a half devil, he has somehow found a way to use his soul to possess the body of his reincarnation."
Ky spat impatiently. "So what does all this have to do with me? I'm kind of in the middle of something here."
The strange man walked slowly towards Kurai, positioning himself between Ky and his opponent. He raise the longsword above his head, taking a fighting stance. He spoke with his back turned to Ky.
"He is a devil. You cannot defeat him. Please, let me help you. I defeated him here once. I can do so again."
Suddenly, the tall man felt a strange pulling sensation. The world began to blur, he seemed to be losing his grip on reality. He whirled around to see what was happening. To his astonishment, the bright blue stone that had hung around Ky's neck was now suspended in the air. But more importantly, it was sucking him in.
"Wha- what are you doing?"
Ky smirked.
"That stone is called a soul container. You've had your fun. It's my turn. Why don't you just stay in there and keep Kin company for awhile?"
With a brilliant flash, the tall man was gone. The necklace dropped to the ground. Ky bent down to pick it up, fixing it around his neck before facing Kurai again.
"You wanted to fight that loser over me? tch, now I'm insulted."
The katars shot out.
"Do your worst"
