Yakuti held back the urge to laugh, but he managed to keep a straight face. Wait... Heir? Yakuti was certainly not the heir to the pack, Shira really didn't know anything about this pack.

"I'm not the heir to the pack, Shira." He said with a smirk, still doubting that Shira wasn't stupid enough to challenge Mafa... She seemed pretty close to doing just that.

"Hey! I'm not that little." He said angrily to Shira, true, he was still young, but he was nearly an adolescent, he could take care of himself. "And don't call me blue-butt."

"The pack can take care of itself, WE know how to hunt for ourselves." He said, trying to make it seem like her offers had no meaning. "Keep up this attitude and there won't be anything left to help, even if I wanted too."

Mafa scoffed, a sarcastic laugh almost echoing in the depths of her voice,

"Heir? Please"

Mafa sneered, this pack had no heir, not yet. She was too busy worrying about Mabozi and how much of a failure he was to even think about trying to bear a suitable heir. She nodded slowly and thoughfully as Yakuti spoke. She wouldn't at all have minded if Mabozi had turned out even remotely like Yakuti, the youngster was a hyena to be proud of. Not that she'd admit it.

"Well then you better get used to it, because I do all the pushing around here. Need you? Not in particular, but we do need all the hyena we can get. Strong females counted. you've only met one of the pack so far, so don't flatter yourself, there's more to us than meets the eye..."

Mafa trailed off eventually, her gaze slightly breaking from Shira and scanning the horizon. Though, it was shortly back on the yellowish female, watching her like a hawk. Yes, the pack would benefit from this female's joining, she seemed proper to fight. She'd do.

(I have no problems with anyone joinging biggrin Mayhaps we should make it an ORP? XD)

[[It's opened ^^ I don't mind at all.]]

Shira huffed and sat down. It seemed as if she was on her own here. Yakuti was on Mafa's side on this part. Though, she had handled worse odds. Though, the yellow hyena would not dare hurt the juvenile nor the alpha. If she had, and there be no heir, this pack would fall apart. But would that not mean someone bring it back up? No, Yakuti was too loyal to her. Complications, she would not want to deal with, too troublesome.

"If you are not the heir, Yakuti, then what are you?"

She asked, looking over to him, hard, tough expression lessened. Something about him seemed so familiar.... Taashira'kikuto's attention turned back to the Alpha female, her tough expression returning.

"It would seem I must've underestimated this pack of yours, Mafa. So, where are the rest of the members of the pack?"

An evil sneer crossed her maw as she looked to her flanks. She did sense the presence of others when she wandered before, but where were they now? How many where there? Were they all as young as Yakuti? Were there anyone worth spending time around? Where there any other females around to keep these males in line? Was Mafa the only one worth the time to speak with? So many questions floated around her mind with the mention of the pack. Would she be welcomed? Already these two seemed to dislike her personality. Then again she wasn't about to change for anyone anytime soon, or rather, ever.

"Besides, I usually catch more than I can eat so it would just rot away if it goes uneaten."

Kelello crept low to the ground, wriggling her small puppy body as she advanced towards the group of hyenas. Her ears perked up as she heard an unfamiliar voice, and stopped abruptly. Peering past the frames of Yakuti and Mafa, she could see a dark figure that stood before them.

Kelello's heart began to race. A new hyena? She bounded forward, and skidded to a clumsy halt beside Mafa.

"Who's this?", she asked, looking curiously from Shira to Mafa, and butting Mafa's shoulder impatiently with her cold nose.

The wild dog pup stepped forward, grinning up at the newcomer. "Me name's Kelello!", she announced, wagging her stumpy orange tail. "Are we gonna be friends?"

"I'm going to be a gaurd when I get a little older" He said confidantly in response to her question.

He rolled his eyes, this new female sure did like to brag. Just then a familiar face came running into the conversation, Kelello.

"Yeah, this is the wild dog I told you about earlier Shira." He said, looking at Kelello as if she had some sort of death wish. He would never dare do what she just did, but no matter, it wasn't him who would get punished.

Yakuti couldn't help but wonder where the other pack members were, he hardly ever saw them, but then again, the graveyard was a big place.

The muddy colored male trotted after the wild dog pup, a distance back, not quite feeling like being the 'great baby sitter'. though, the pup ha somewhat grown on him, so he was fairly used to Kellelo's running around, and didn't care much were she went, because he'd probably know wherever that was.

When the pup went dashing towards Mafa, Yakuti and a stranger, though, he grew annoyed, and bounded after her, growling in annoyance. Stupid thing, always disrespectfull!

As he neared, he slowed down though. The pup had just butted Mafa's shoulder, that was more of Mafa's problem, and now it was stepping foreward to this stranger. He could somehat tell by this female's stance, that she wasen't perhaps one bit respectfull towards his alpha, wich was fair frustrating. He was surrounded by idiots, then.

"Hello, Mafa, Yakuti, and stranger. " He said when getting into earshot, moving to stand at the opposite side of Mafa that Kellelo was, only not close as he figured Mafa didn't like 'close'.

Tibuka bore scars from lion fights, and was perhaps large for a male hyena, so life had made him become.

Shadows seemed to move as the second youngest hyena in the pack melted out of the bones and mist. Deep blue eyes watched the pale golden female, almost as if calculating how strong she was. When she spied Mafa, she decided that the stranger must be worth having around. After all, the alpha wasn't showing any ill will. Walking up and stopping near the blueberry, she looked up at the yolk-colored hyena before turning her attention to Mafa. "Good day, Mafa. Having a fair time, I hope?" Alpha first, all others second.

((hope you dont mind me joining *too lazt to start another one*))

Ahsante had found the graveyard that he had originally been looking for, however he hadn't intended to walk into the mass of hyena's.

He lingered on the boundaries of the group, keeping his head down and trying to catch what was being said and who it is who is on top. He watched, his body fully relaxed, he had no fear around other hyena's.

Maybe being so relaxed would be a mistake about these hyena's, he wasn't one to start a fight nor to talk so maybe that would be the reason he was now keeping back slightly. He was the silent type, a fighter when need be and a strong one at that, though those talents were kept hidden. Silence is a killer most of the time, why not now?

Maybe he wouldn't even be noticed!

Mafa shook her head arrogantly at Shira,

"This pack has no heir, there is no need for one as of yet, I am not going anywhere and am fully equipped to lead without an heir as backup."

Her tone was cold, as her eyes moved from Shira to the ball of orange that was coming at her. As the wild dog touched her, Mafa instinctively recoiled, she wasn't at all used to touch, but as soon as the reaction of shock passed through her head, anger stepped in. Mafa let out a loud, and daring snarl at the pup, warning her without words. She was going to have to teach that mutt some lessons, though now was not the proper time. It seemed that young Kelello has escaped any punishment for the time being, lucky lucky.

"I am positive no one asked you here Kelello, who's supposed to be keeping an eye on y-"

Just then, Mafa's question was answered as Tibuka came loping in behind the pup. Mafa's eyes narrowed at the male in scorn, he wasn't doing his job, not at all. But she'd pick that bone later. Also, to join the group, was Schatz, whom Mafa greeted with a short moment of eye contact and a curt nod. Her gaze trailed back to Shira, her tone mocking and cruel,

"Well there you go, they're all just popping out of the bone-works. You'll meet more eventually..."

Mafa trailled off slowly, her nose rising up and sniffing. A new scent was wafting about the meeting place, a smell that she didn't recognize. It was a hyena allright, and when Mafa looked around, she succeeded in spotting the male. Well well, where were all these new comers coming from? With a bark of authority, Mafa called to the stranger,

"Don't go hiding in my lands, you won't be quick to get away with it. Now who are you, and just what are you doing here?"

Shira watched as more hyenas, and a wild dog pup, began to gather to Mafa's den. By the way she spoke to the wild dog pup, and it not being their species, it must have had a rather low place here in the graveyard. But what erked her interest was why keep one around? Shira curled her lips back in distaste as the female sat beside the Alpha.

"Wild dog scum..."

She muttered under her breath, her rumbling snarl toning it out, Yakuti was probably the only one to hear it...hopefully. She disliked all wild dogs after her incident, but that would remain a secret from all. No one is to know, she was gonna take it to her grave, and what a fitting place to live too.

As her blue eyes danced among the faces, her expression hardening with each pass, all males, it would seem it was only her, Mafa, and the 'scum' that were the true females here.

"No heir, alpha? Why, it'd be unfortunate if something were to happen to you know would it? I heard rumors of a pride of lions plaguing....you lands. If something were to happen, this pack of yours would be in shambles, someone would have to pick it up or would you rather have those foul flith make us, hyenas, their slaves? I for one would not, rather die before I obey any furball."

She smirked and turned down to Yakuti. He'd make a good leader, well, she could assume. THe way he boasted when they first met made him sound like the heir, her mistake.

The new coming female's attention turned to the male Mafa was speaking too. Hiding? A coward! Just like all males, cowards when they do not know what to do.

"Get your tail over here you, so-called male."

She called out cruelly to him, wanting him in the middle of the group. She wanted to see if he would shiver, shudder, cry, or any reaction that would make her coo as he proved her definition of males right.

"Come on, we won't bite....much."

We as in I.

"Hello Tibuka." Yakuti said, turning his head towards the brown hyena, he remembered the time he had helped him in the fight against the black lion, he would always remember that, and would try to repay him, weather he liked it or not.

His head turned again, seeing the black and white pup he had brought into the pack not too long ago. Another mark of his accomplishments, he smiled to himself, but said nothing.

Yakuti rolled his eyes at Shira. This one sure did have a grudge against wild dogs. He huffed, wild dogs weren't so bad in his opinion, though Kelello could be rather... Kelello-ish at times. Kelello-ish having the meaning of "ignorant" in his mind.

Wait, a stranger? Yakuti sniffed the air and scowled, it was apparent that someone here wasn't in the pack, and nobody seemed all that happy about it. He took an agressive stance and turned to face the direction the scent came from.

"Come on out..." he growled softly, agressive, but not outright mean, he didn't like to be mean or vicious to his own kind if he could avoid it.

[Sorry for the bad post. I'm sick, so it really lacks quality. xD;]

Kelello yelped and jumped back, her golden eyes full of surprise. "I'm sor-", she started to say to Mafa, but Shira's harsh words stopped her. Wild dog scum?

"Hey, missus, I'm not scum", Kelello retorted, wrinkling her nose at her.

Her eyes shot back to Mafa's, hopelessly wishing that she might stand up for her. A glimmer of hope flashed through her orange eyes. She had been a slave long enough to know that she was 'property'. Perhaps Mafa would stand up for what was hers. Not likely. But if she had Mafa on her side, then she was in no danger from the aggresive newcomer. She decided she'd give it a shot.

Kelello spun around to face the new hyena again, and stepped towards her with narrowed eyes. "Mea-", she started, but then the flank of Tibuka caught her eye, and she gave an exasperated sigh. Retorting wasn't worth it if she had to deal with him for the rest of the day. She padded towards him with her head hung low, and plopped herself lazily by his side.

Her ears stood up and her eyes followed those of the others as they stared out towards the newest hyena. She flicked her tail happily in greeting.

"Hi!", she shouted, and jumped to her paws, grinning from ear to ear. Obviously, no scolding was enough.

Ahsante walked out from where he watching. He walked straight towards Mafa, lowering his head, showing his weakness in front of her.

He then turned to the somewhat yellow female and snarled, "I see you have no authority, keep that thing of your's shut. The Alpha is the one I have come to see, not anyone else who believes they can boss others about." He snarled a little and turned back to Mafa.

"I have heard of your pack, stories travel wide. I came in search of you, to join you if possible." His tone had sofftened a little, he would talk harshly to the Alpha, though anyone else, they try to boss him about without the authority to, well they would be sorry. Stupid females.

His eyes quickly scanned the group of hyena's and suddenly landed on the wild dog. He said nothing, hiding his surprise and turned back to the Alpha.

He did not shiver, shudder or cry, he had no fear of any but Mafa for she was the alpha of the pack he had heard stories about so he would have disapointed the femme who he suddenly believed stupid. From what he had worked out she had been here not much longer then he.

He just waited for Mafa's reply, everyone else was ignored for now, they were useless to him, he needed only ones attention and he seemingly had it.
