man, i'm only on book 12 and i watched the ending! why oh why did i do that?
anyway, it made no sense cause i didn't read up to that point, but it was still sad that ed died! and al didn't remember anything after the attempted transmutation!

uhhh yes ed died but he was brought back to life...and ed then brought back al's soul and body in exchange, Ed had to go to another world.
just saying in case you didn't understand. so..yeah.

I never watched the anime eppy when Hughes died, but I couldn't really hide from it in the manga, I knew it was coming and I was still sad.

I think he died because he found out the truth about the secretary and about the plot to take over the country or whatever. I don't think I started crying (hard) until Elysia was saying, "Why are they burying Daddy? If they bury him he can't go to work?" That killed me. crying crying crying I misses him!!! gonk crying

ya i crying then for the rest of the week everyone in my school who saw it was in all black and sad... crying crying crying ..........last night the 5th ep was on adoult swim and its the first ep with him and i crying when i saw him

Lieutenant Maes Hughes was a great man, everyone will miss him, and im glad Envy is dead, He(Envy) Deserved the death in the movie.
