I love to sing (even tho I can't sing very well), therefore I love musicals. Songs express the moment and just get the singers/audience much more involved in the story or the emotions.
Musicals are for me.

Well, it kinda depends on what play or musical it is for me. But I'd prefer plays more because I don't think I can sing, AT ALL! My friends tell me otherwise, but I value my opinion a little more. sweatdrop And that is: I SUCK! xd

Definatly depends. If I'm on stage... then musicals.. because I'm stage manager... and there's a whole lot more to do and it's fun. Also.. we learn the songs and dance backstage during the musicals.
But if I'm on sound or something... then plays.. because it's less work I guess. Haha. I was only on sound for one play for the school.. but I love shows like talent shows and dance recitals.. adjusting knobs is fun!

I almost never stop singing showtunes. So if you cant guess.... I LOVE musicals. I like almost anything with music of anykind, so it's even more appealing to me when your acting & singing all in one performance biggrin

I'm a major musical geek. I just LOVE Phantom Of The Opera, and I like the musicals Evita, Joseph and The Technicolor dreamcoat, Into The Woods, Hairspray, and, like bunchs of other peoples, Cats. I never performed in a play or musical so it's hard along those lines, but I beleive a musical would be funner because of all the singing and danceing.

i think a lot of work and dedication goes into both, but im really picky about my musicals. I guess I'd pick plays then. dunno meaah sweatdrop

Love musicals. They're so lively and exciting. I've been just dieing to do one since school ended... last time we did ours in the fall but next year we're doing it in the spring. Eeee, I can't wait!

Musicals. More specifically, musicals in an operatic format (sung all the way through) like RENT, CATS, Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, The Phantom of the Opera, The Last Five Years, and Caroline, or Change.

I can't really decide because I like both for different reasons. I love singing and I love acting so I have to love musicals, but i like acting and singing by themselves too....so... I really can't choose.

i personally like musicals better cuz it seems like its alot more intresting to see people act in musicals while singing and dancing... but plays can be intresting too... but from my own expirence acting i perfer musicals

Musicals seem to leave more of an impact on me, but then again some plays just wouldn't be right as musicals--so it's a close call.
