Mine died on me over the summer too, it was a pain in the mothertrucking a**. I didn't get it back for three months, although I lucked out and it was still under extended warranty.
I hope hers gets fixed before then. Was hers still under warranty?

You're lucky La Belle. Mine's been dead since '02. I might get it fixed within the next year if I can start making more headway on my finances. confused
