I'm definitely going to have to say the Rev. Even for the current generation systems, I bought the GCN first. The only reason I even bought a PS2 was because of Square, and aside from the PS2 version of Viewtiful Joe 1 that's the only company you'd see for my list of PS2 games (I actually don't own many, but next time that there's a dry period I'm going to go and buy a lot of the PS1 games by Square). I bought the DS because to me, that is the only real portable gaming system that can keep me entertained (especially now with FE: The Sacred Stones... I played for 7 hours straight starting from when I walked out of the store). I have a PSP, but I only use it to listen to music right now (even though I bought one game and borrowed another 3) and even then I'm going to have to ask my grandparents to spend a lot of money (enough to get a 1 GB memory stick, or a 526MB if the other is too much) for my birthday to get a larger memory stick, because the 32MB is nothing (I've got 8 songs plus the game files, and its almost full). The only company I would buy a next generation system from aside from Nintendo would be Sega, but they were knocked out of the race a long time ago (even though the Dreamcast was great).

Obviously, since we're all Nintendo people, we're all going to say the Revolution.

Still... I feel like nitpicking. It's not "witch", it's "which".

And also, Revolution and PS3. XBox doesn't have much I want. Except Halo. Blah.

I don't know much about the PS3, I'm a Nintendo fan (obviously), and I honesly hope the Xbox 360 goes the way of the Dreamcast since its coming out so early (reletively), the same mistake Sega made. I'm so tired of all the Microsoft fanboys that won't admit that Halo only fits in the FPS catagory and is only mediocre at that.

Difference is, Sega where low in funds...and they poorly advertised...

And...well MS is not...

Microsoft isn't letting their little moneymaker go anywhere, Since they are one of the few companies that doesn't own anyone else money, they can do whatever they want with the advertising.

Damn I hate that Earth Bound is only in other countries... It must be that they like to make fun of us in that game because it is based off of American culture.

Maybe you should just wait until the Revolution comes out since Earthbound will be cheaper there and easier to find.

Anyway, I really want to hold my opinions until I get a shot to try out the systems, but honestly, Revolution sounds like the most promosing of the lot. I'm not saying that simply as a Nintendo fan either. I like this downloading old games idea they have going, just to name one major thing.

Second best sound like 360. Reason being the intenet capability from XBOX is something I know works easily and (usually) efficiantly.

Really, the only things going for the PS3 are some of the titles. Devil May Cry 4 and MGS: 4 for starters. The blue ray disk and graphic capability is great, sure, but just because a game has good graphics and is long, doesn't mean it's good. Still, I'm sure they'll put the extra space to good use... for some games anyway.

Still, my votes on the Revolution.

The only problem I see with the PS3 and XBox 360 is that I'm more or less forced to pay for things that I really don't want in a gaming console. And I'm also being forced to pay for external appliances to optimize my gaming experience.

Imagine this:

-How cheap would PSP be if Sony didn't add in the ability to play MP3's?
-Even though the PS2 is the weakest console in the current-gen, why is it still more expensive than the GCN?
-Why enhance visuals via HDTV's when most people don't even have one?
-Why allow the PS3 to hook up to two HDTV's when rarely anybody has enough money to get one, let alone two?
-Why allow 7 controller ports when people don't want to pay as much as $30 for a second PS2 controller?
-Why have Blu-Ray discs when games today don't even fill up all the space in a DVD disc?
-Why should the PS3 play music if I can't play it simultaneously with the game?

Am I right when I ask these questions?

Thats guna be in a year or two and it would be easier... not to wait... Pluss it probably woulnt be cheeper... Most SNES games are like 5-20 bucks, and it will look good in my colection...

Am I right when I ask these questions?

It may sound like I'm on Sony's side if I answer these questions, but I still must answer them.
-Probably a lot cheaper. However, this, and movies, are the only things that go for the PSP. For example, in Japan, PSP sales are maybe 1.5 or 2 times the DS sales, but DS software quadruples PSP software sales. That's what I've heard, at least.
-PS2 is the most successful of the bunch. It's sale are about double both the GCN's and the XBox's sales put together.
-First of all, people like to play together. Sony learned a lot from only having two ports in the PS2. Second of all, it sounds good, and Sony can use it as an excuse for money. Like Cameras. The ones that boast this many megapixels or 700x zoom.
-Again, it sounds good.

Now, maybe these aren't the best answers, but still, some of those questions do have good reasons to it. You have to understand from the common person's view. For instance:

Average Joe has lots of friends over. Joe plays on his [insert console] alot. Joe plays on it with his friends. Many of his friends have to wait. But WAIT! Joe can get a system with 7 or 8 controller ports! That would be great! All Joe needs to do is buy the controllers.

Also, you can tell the truth, and yet cut money by downgrading a feature. For instance, let's take the PS2's DVD system. If you absolutely love movies, and watch lots of DVDs, you'll get a DVD player. But, if you love that and games, you might think," Well, why not get one that does both?" Why not? The PS2's DVD system is less than stellar. Play too many DVD's on it, your system goes busted. Then you end up buying a new PS2, and then you buy a DVD player. $150, gone.

I think you get my drift. Basically, it's all about how it SOUNDS, not how it WORKS.
