Jamaa smiled, licking his blood son's head softly as he fell asleep. Good this left the adults to talk male to male, not that Ryega wasn't. Well, it seems Yakuti was oblivious to where he was trying to get at. Oh well, this wasn't gonna be easy, perhaps he lucked out with Demani and Tahupotiki. Sort of dreaded the day for his own three.
"Yeah, like Temari and I. Like how we ended up with these this one here and two others."
Jamaa smiled back at him, playfully. He was gonna be pretty blunt about this since he was old enough and rather mature, if not he'll have to get over it.
"If you like a female, love her with all your heart and shares the same feelings for you. If you love her, you could prove your love to her, only if she allows you to. Simply instinct from there, my son. Mating is of your own, follow what your heart tells you."
Jamaa smiled softly, perhaps that was more blunt than he thought it would be?

"But..." Yakuti said, cocking his head, "How do you know if you really love them? I mean, I care about all the females in my pack, but I'd never want to be more than friends with them..." he said akwardly, his hormones hadn't really started to act up just yet.
"Instinct huh..." he said softly, "Like when you're hunting and you really REALLY want to go after the prey, but you know you shouldn't just yet? Like, for some reason, you know it'll be better if you wait a bit?" He asked in a confused way. "That kind of instinct?"
This was wierd, he hardly knew anything about girls, let alone being a father... He was hyena smart, not GIRL smart. "Uh, if you say so Jamaa." He finished lamely, he supposed it was better to just wait until he was ready, he just hoped he chose the right female when it was time...

Jamaa chuckled hearily and pawed at his head. Yakuti was clueless. How can Jamaa explain this anymore? Well, he can't tell him more, he didn't know much else. Maybe he should just let Yakuti wait and eventually hope he does find someone for him. Then Jamaa could be at ease. At least....he'd hope so.
"Well, put it this way, if you are around a female you like or love, you blush. Your face feels warm when they talk or something....Jamaa guesses you got to discover it out yourself."
Jamaa smiled down at his own son and then back at him.
"Trust me, son, it is worth it when you have your very own family. Someone to care for, someone to provide for, someone to watch over..."

Yakuti smiled, he had never 'blushed', so that must mean it wasn't time yet. He was glad, being in love sounded like a lot of work.
"But Jamaa, how can it be a GOOD thing having to take care of something?" He asked, "Taking care of myself is hard enough! Even with Topas helping out its not easy..." He said, not wanting to get into any of this business.
"I don't know Jamaa, it sounds more like a bad thing to me..." He said with a shrug, but I really gotta go, I have duties in my pack after all." He said importantly, proud of himself for being so responsible.
"But I'll come visit, I promise!" He said, nuzzling his father happily.

Jamaa murred, "Well, if ya want. I will coming here more often now since Temari wants me to have connections with Topas, Raka, and Delu." he shrugged softly, "Just be careful, if anyone discovered that we know each other, that could be it for you and me."
"Well, pack duties are important. I should head back as well, I should not have taken Ryega from the pack yet, and as the only guardian, I guess I should head back to my protrols."
Jamaa smirked, "You take care, alright, Yaku? I want you to be happy, I love you. Think of how I lost Kizaki, yours will be just as bad. So be careful, alright?" he asked, carefully nuzzling his son lovingly, just as he has with temari and those close to him.
Slowly, he closed his maw around the red sleeper and slowly made his way back to the Mpinzani Pack lands. Perhaps, he should visit Yaku rather the other way around.

"See you later Jamaa." He said, licking his fathers face one last time before leaving the den.
The blue hyena started back down the tunnel back to his own den. Jamaa was right, he did need to keep it a secret, he knew most of the other hyenas would not like it if they found out...
Love, who needs it. He thought to himself as he went through the tunnel, though he had a strange feeling that he should start being nicer to the females in the pack...
