I don't think it's that fabulous...
But that is only because I don't agree with having a set of rules for "becoming" something.
That just eliminates creativity.

I agree with you completely! Having a set of guidelines is just simply ridiculous. Get into whatever you want, and if it happens to be Gothic Lolita, so be it! However, I don't think it's right to encourage others to conform to the ideals and steryotpes of a certain fasion or trend, simply to be 'hardcore', or whatever you want to call it. It eliminates creativity and variation in the style, and encourages everyone to look the same. It also forces people into things that they may not want to be, which to me, is just sickening. It's alright if you already have those characteristics. However, trying to conform to all those guidelines against your will, simply because you want to wear the clothes, to me, is detrimental to oneself, and is not in the the intrests of anybody.
I agree with what you're saying, but I don't think the style of clothing itself should be changed too much. Whenever I see it changed it becomes low-cut with lacy bras, short skirts, animal tails and or just looks like cheap hot topic clothing.
Has anyone noticed, though, that the princess cut tops are becoming very popular? That's a new thing. Change isn't all bad, as long as its not... well... slutty. talk2hand
