Torn smiled at Shaylee and nuzzled her softly trying to help comfort her. He could feel a small shiver against his shoulder and he knew how scared she must be. "It will be all right lassy." he said softly as they moved on towards the teepee and where his mistress was. He was certain she could do something to help her, but this little one was a special case... maybe one of the spirits would come and mend he wing?
They trudged on slowly, as Torn knew how sore shaylee must be after all those bee stings and her pride and her fear as with every step they moved forward to the teepee. "Everything will be fine." he said again, his light tenor voice was airy and full of confidance.

Everly was not the barking type , for a fox yipped more than a normal canine. He padded towards the teepee feeling quite meek and embarrassed but would continue to protect his flutter like charge in any case.
Yip, yip, yeoooooooooooooooow. he barked trying to say, "Please come out we need your help." His ears listened for the humans as a wet nose scented any danger lying about.
~*~
Shaylee heard the barking err yipping stiffening her stride and good wing. A shiver ran her spine with a prickling of lavender fur beneath. "I'm trying I really am. But I've never been in contact with a two-legger before." she said w ith a sad little sigh folled by the drooping of her lithe wing once more. Every time she walked the bumps on her coat swelled and burned with each step. Why didn't she leave those cursed things have the flowers anyway. Could have saved endless torment with those stings and tear she accomplised.
Looking up at him with sad large eyes full of sincerity she wondered why he was helping her. If it was what's-his-name he would of flitted off at the first sign of a disturbance. Her curiousity created a stronger heartbeat seeing those strong legs carry him smoothly, muscles ripping in the sunlight. He was so much stronger than she. "I was stupid wasn't I? I mean if I'd not fought them...." she paused with a frown, "Anyways thanks for coming with me".

Mae'ven heard the strange yipping coming from outside of the teepee and slipped outside to see what the problem was. Her eyes rested on the most oddly colored fox she had ever seen and her jaw hung slack abit. She should be getting used to seeing strange looking animals...
~~~~~
Torn smiled at her and nodded, trying his best to be helpful. "It's alright lass... Ive grown up with this two legger and she has never done me any harm, nor any harm to any others I have ever known. If you where to never trust a two legger before her, she would be the one to change your mind. Have trust little one." he said, pressing his muzzle against her neck. "All will be fine."
At the mention of the bees he paused in his walk and turned to look at her seriously for a moment, though his expression was kind and his words where soft spoken. "Not at all lass, You stood up to those bullies. Those where your flowers and you where defending them. I think you where very vallent for doing that."
Everly wondered why all two legged creatures acted as if he was something special, for really he was just your typical average fox. Making his yipping again sound more urgent he padded slowly in the opposite direction pausing to see if she followed. His integrity was dropping as was his masculinity, but it was Everly's job to help his little charge whenever she could. Best reason he gave himself was "grounded" and "easier to look after" in which he smiled out of spite then frowned at himself.
"Valiant" she chuckled feeling the welts sting on her buttocks and shoulders. Sure she told them where to buzz off to, and yet her fighting them raised her spirits. One couldn't just engage in battle just like that without consequences. Heck she had done so well up until that nasty one used her for target pracice with her wing.
"Heh I'm used a scaredy cat I guess right now since I'm such a free spirit. You really think she can help me to fly again? Bing bang boom just like that?" she teased with a chipper little giggle before her welts bit her worse than the bees. "Oh look we're here.... ah hmm maybe I can sit this one out?"
The pale maiden looked at the fox, her brow slowly furrowing as she watched it yelp and try to gather her attention. "well then what is it? Lead me to the trouble will you? I dont speak fox you know..." she said with a small smirk. She followed Everyly quite willingly away from the teepee wondering what on earth all the fuss could be about. ~~~
"You where quite Valiant, Whether you think so or not lassy. Standing up for what you believed in for as long as you possably could. It takes real courage to do that you know, even if it is against a bunch of billy-ing bees. " He said with a soft chuckle.
The dark stallion lead the tender flutter through the thicket until at last the teepee was in veiw on the far side of the medow. Torn could see his two legger following the fox and he looked back at Shaylee. "Lass, Show me how brave you really can be. I know you have it in you... I'll be by your side the whole time, you wont be alone in this fight." he said, his voice was calm and reassuring.
Everly was fluent in human but her expression made him sigh in embarrasment. No w he really did wonder why he did these things for Andromeda like her did. Padding along he lead the maiden of the pale race toward his flutter charge wondering what each would do when they finally confronted one another at the final conclusion. Shaylee couldn't fly so it might make things easier, besides she seemed more at ease around the towering ebony stallion that seemed fond of her. Click. Click. His claws tapped rocks and solid surfaces as they headed toward the destination. His busy white tipped teal tail wagging happily behind him.
Shaylee lisatened to his deep voice feeling both nervous and heartful all at once. She really was growing fond of him the more they walked toward her fate. "Valiant I can be?" she pondered with a little giggle pulling herself a little taller to be by his side. As a teacher instructs their student, so does the student aim to please. The bees had really dampened her to the point of complete refusal in anything. Though Torn was always there to give her a good pick-me-up when she needed it. Letting the thought cross her mind she pondered what would happen once she could fly again. Her heart simply yearned to be here like this standing tall beside him. Thoughts of nervousness crossed her mind teasing this was another "Azure moment" in which yes while she'd be happy, it would all end too soon as it had begun.
Turning her sleek little neck with some swelling still showing she asked a question clear out of the blue, "Torn. You and your Maeven you call her... well umm you're not planning on leaving for the winter are you"?
Maeven followed the Fox and soon her eyes rested on her dear friend, the black stallion and his little companion. Though she wished to look forward and see what the matter was, she was mindful off the fact that the mare could be skiddish. With cooing sounds and light clinkings of her tongue she slowly walked towards the both of them. "Shhh, easy there. Whats the matter Honey? Torn did you rescue a fair maiden?" she asked with a smirk.
The dark stallion watched as Maeven approched and he knew that shaylee was feeling like she should run and flee. He turned and pressed his muzzle against her neck and whispered into her ear. "If you can brave the bee's than you can brave my Maeven. Her touch is gentle lass... Stand still, and close your eyes if you must. I wont let anything bad happen to you."
He question to him caught him off guard for but a moment. He flashed her a smile and shook his head. "No lass. we're here for the long haul. Winter seas are dangerous and we might find ourselves lost with in the waves. I dont quite fancy going back on a ship any time soon."
Everly padded over sitting next to Shaylee, his beady little eyes lying upon the pale one that would console and remedy his frightened charge. This was worse than the bees for the flutter's heart was pure and untamed, simply put she was a raging fire to do as she pleased. Praying mercifully that Torn was her anchor, the little fox watched breathessly at the scene about to unfold.
Well one thing was for sure, he wasn't up and leaving. Heck Azure never said he was either but then she didn't ask him if his departure would be that abrupt. Still Torn told her this in regards to staying put and being with her. Could this lingering hope be her light to help calm the flame that was slowly flaring into a bonfire?
"Well.. that's good to know. Ah hmm... I can do this. I really can" she repeated to herself over and over watching the two-legger come over. Legs ready to bolt her mind screamed flee, but she had to do this, this one thing called trust that really made her edgy. To make that handsome creature beside her stay and walk with her. She'd do this only once for Torn.
As Maeven neared closer she deliberately closed her eyes shut practically pushing her weight upon Torn for as much support as her little frail body could muster. All the while she muttered how she could do this and kept her eyes closed, he r heart beating fiercely to be free once more.
Torn nickered quietly to shaylee, a reassuring noise as he pressed his mussle to her neck. He would keep her safe and he had all his faith that Maeven would heald her wounds and sooth the bee strings that where all over the little one. He stood strong against her, holding up the little ones weight was easy.
The Dark stallion brushed his chin against her ears. "all will be fine, lass.. Just think of something happy." He whispered to her.
Maeven pressed a slender hand against the warm velvet coat of the mare. She clicked her tongue softly and shook her head. "Oh dear.. You've been in quite the scuffle havent you little one" she said, her voice was soft as she could muster it to be. Her finger tips danced around the bee stings careful to not touch them.
A little tug on the mare's skin and she removed a stinger that had still be logged inside of the swelling lump. "dear dear.. Did you step into a nest?" she asked as she looked the mare over, carefull to keep her hands on the mare so she always knew where she stood.
Maeven's eyes caught sight of the hole in her wing and the young woman shook her head softly. "Ahh... I see I see...I can fix you deary... " she nodded her head and gave the mare a small pat on the flank. "I'll be right back. Torn, Keep her here.. Stand Strong." she ordered him as she turned on her heels and ran back to the teepee to fetch her medical supplies.
"see there... Its not so bad." Torn said with a small smile at Shaylee. "You'e doing great."
Everly watched the maiden of the pale race and Shaylee at the same time. His eyes were on both wondering which would hit the panic mode and do something inadvertantly stupid. Swishing his tail he waitied watching every movement, smelling the fear, he was ready to intervene should this go sour and turn malicious.
Shaylee still pressing her eyes closed as tightly as she could listened hanging onto her sound of Torn's words. Each one was a soother for the fear welling deep inside her.
As Maeven's hands trailed across her flank and shoulder the flutter wanted to just flee and disappear. Feeling a leaf brush her nose she snorted and grumbled under her breath. "Taunting me huh? You just wait. I'll get you." she muttered still clamping her eyes tight. "Think of something happy.. hmm happy.. happy thoughts.. be happy...." she whispered to herself.
Thinking she thought of taking to the skies and chasing those annoying leaves. They only taunted her since they wanted to play. She wanted to give it a pice of her mind. But boy was it ever fun to chase them, seeing each waltz along with her. In and out in zig zags , loop-de-loops, and any other manuever she could muster. Zipping here, zipping there, she was free and unyielding. This was her happy place in which she decided to stay there for a bit still listening to Torn's words console her. It was possible to have both things you liked so much at one time.
Torn stood strong beside Shaylee and a small smile formed on his face. "You're diong great lass, you know that?" He said softly. Now was not the time for him to be joking, but he felt the urge to joke with her anyway, maybe it would lighten the mood. "I bet those bees will thing twice before messing with the likes of you again." he said with a chuckle.
Maeven retured with a small medical bag from the teepee again with gental clicks of her tongue and soothing tones she approched the mare. Placing his palm on the side of her back, "Shhh, this will be a bit cold hon, but it will help those nasty stings." she said quietly as she opened a bottle of salve.
Her gentle fingertips ran over the mares velvet purple coat, over every sting she could find and removing the stingers that had been occasionally left in place. "there now, this should help any time now.. as for your wing." the lithe woman dipped her hands into her bag again and came up with some gause and some medical tape. "This will help cover it until your wing can grow back..." she said with some sorrow edging into her tone.
With expert hands the woman bandged up the wing, true she probably wouldnt be able to fly for awhile, but that should keep it free of infection and keep the fragile membrain safe while it grew.
Everly watched caustiously in disbelief of the little mare whom proved herself to be a trooper in this situation. Her lithe little form standing with moments of shivers trying so hard to forget what was really taking place between this pale human and the fiesty little flutter.
Shaylee flinched here and there from moments of cold applications to just normal inspection of her battle dammage. But absolutely no one would belive the fact of how well she was holding herself. Her mind and thoughts were so far away that only Torn's voice could soothe her fear that swirled deep in her tender breast.
The moment the bandage was applied her head turned ever so slowly to land her gaze upon the maiden gently applying the strange thing. Afraid yet inquisitive she was greatful the stinging was going away from the funny smelling stuff all over her. Purple orbs blinking as the strange thing was wrapped around. She whickered in query to the maiden not remembering humans couldn't understand Soquili.
Maeven gave one final pat to the mare. "That'll do ya. " she said softly and caught her breath as the mare opened her eyes to look at her. Orbs of amthest seemed to bore into her very soul. A smile lightly formed on her face as she found herself speachless. As the mare whickered at her she smiled even bigger. "You'll be fine in a few days... That wing will take awhile to mend though." she said as comfortingly as she could. Humans couldnt understand what the soquili said, so she had no idea of the simple question the mare had asked her.
Torn smiled at Shaylee as she finally opened her eyes. He was very proud of her, she had shown great courage and resilients in all of this. He gave the mare an affectionate nuzzle. "You did splendid lass, see it wasnt so bad was it?" he asked her as he continued to smile.
Everly breathed. Yes breathed his little charge wasn't rasising a ruckus being defiled by the bad human that touched her. As a matter of fact this Maeven was a gentle as a vixen taking splendid care of her pups when they falter and injure themselves.
Shaylee sniffed at the ointment on her shoulders and examined her wing cocking her delicate little head. She was puzzled but relived her boo boo was fixed. The thing wrapped around though made her wing heavy, so right away flying was a no no. This she was fearing all along. Wiggling it a tad she found the bandage to be wrapped tightly. Grounded.
She pondered with a little thought. Well he can't fly so why should I. Nodding in agreement with herself she pranced a bit then titled her head at Torn with a big smile.
"Okay then... since I'm grounded so are yooooooooou. So here's how it is." she snorted with a swish of her curled tail, "You stay with me and umm spend time with me and.. well don't let me think of flying kay?"
Maeven smiled at the purple flutter before dipping her head to the mare and quietly slipping away. Pausing for just a moment to affectionatly give Torn a gentle pat on the nose. "Take care of her lad."
Torn snorted lightly at Maeven and gave her a light nicker in responce. He nuzzled against the palm of her hand before the gentle woman slipped away. She had been just as expected her to be, kind and gentle, and hopefully she had instated some faith in the two leggers.
Torn chuckled lightly at Shaylee's comments. "I would be more than happy to stay by your side lass, and keep your thoughts away from the sky. Besides, down here is where the flowers are. And there are plenty of fun things to do. I know what would lift your spirits..." he said and with an almost expert turn of his head he stuck his nose into one of the saddle bags on his side and pulled out one of the juicy sugar plums from the special tree's she had shown him.
