*As she rested herself against him a soft smile crossed his softened face. Something about this connection he felt when he was with her made him feel free too. With a deep sigh he nuzzled his head against hers and gazed out at the night’s sky. He knew full well what he was doing when he whispered, “I love you…” into the lioness’s ear.
He too was free, thanks to her kind words. He wouldn’t forget what he was… but maybe for tonight he could forget the choices that he had made in his past; maybe tonight he could make a new life for himself with her... maybe they could be free, together.*
"We are free..."

As he nuzzled her, his words took Kirjava's breath away. A dream, this had to be a dream because no male could love her! That's what the crimson lioness had always told herself. She turned her head slightly to look into his green eyes, searching for any sign of deception but to no avail. Could it be...? A light, feathery feeling grew in her stomach as she looked at Kol. What was that feeling? She's never felt it before in her life. As she tried to speak she placed her head back against his fluffy mane, "Kol...you have me feeling an emotion I have no word to describe. It feels great...it feels wonderful," She paused to find the right words, "I think, no, I have fallen in love with you."
She had always felt safe around Kol, he had helped her and she had helped him. It was a giving relationship with many rewards and many lessons that she has gained. Purring softly, she flicked her tail against him and looked up at the sky. The sky wasn't the limit, it was only the beginning.
