Heartless continued to smirk. She watched him with confidence, knowing that he couldn't possibly hurt her. They were somewhat alike but different. She found it funny how that works out. "Fools they are..." She gave a soft hiss at the end of her sentence.
"Educating them would do nothing. They are ignorant... And that will be their downfall. And when they least expect it..." She paused and cackled slightly. Oh she loved these evil thoughts. "But who cares about educating them. We all had to learn from our own mistakes." The kalona shrugged and giggled out loud.

"He thinks himself some kind of 'savior' ... more a martyr maybe if I get ahold of him sometimes..." He raised his head sligthly, to gaze to the stars a moment. "The world is already slipping away, signs of darker thigns already walking... funny though they'd likely blame us first." He barked a laugh, looking back down. "No... no, it's fun to watch them be foolish, and think they're so above anotehr, so... good and pure."
He dug a hoof into the ground slowly, watching her a moment. "Mmhmhmhm.... yes. even telling them not to, so many will slip away too quickly. Wonder if they'll feel the fools, and crave pity for their failures when tbey realize... I certainly won't have any - I will be laughing."
That concept in and of itself sparked thoughts, a certain level of... knowing. Knowing that they would have ones looking down on them as they did he, and likely her too perhaps. "It's a bit ... fun.... perhaps, to bait them into litlte traps, and watch as they realize they've done something they normally wouldn't. The horror on their faces... ahh..."
What I wouldn't give to truly feel that joy soemtims... but they will lose theirs and all will be equal.

"Yes... Matyr will soon be his title if I ever catch him lurking in the darkness." The mare spat on the ground disgustedly. She couldn't explain how much Sora had bothered her, and she had no idea why either. "Oh yes. And we'll watch as they're succumbed to darkness and then there will be no more 'righteousness.' Damn that word..." Heartless shrugged slightly. "You can already tell, more and more are turning out evil. It'll only be a matter of time..." Her voice drifted off as she snickered to herself.
"I live for that feeling of dropped terror into other's hearts. It's like I live on their feeling of hopelessness."

"Perhaps a game then, to see who gets him first?" he said quietly, a slight twitch of smirk at his mouth. "It would be a domino effect, to say the least, if he fell."
A cool breeze wisped by, refreshing and calming. "The world was damned the second we stepped in, and it's good to see." He looked at her, eying her a moment intently. "I doubt you simply idle about all the time. Caused any notable misery on the 'locals' yet?"
It never hrut to try and find out what your 'opposition' was like, or at least where they tended to work. Double-teaming wasn't always the best, it made 'prey' less scarce.

Raising a brow, Heartless smirked, a game? Now things were finally getting interesting... After that skinwalker incident, everything seemed to slope down into a boring trend. But this... this would make things all the more interesting. "Sure. Sounds fun." She couldn't help but grin again, she didn't really care about winning, but all that mattered was that they took Sora down into the darkness.
The mare paused slightly and shook her head, "Nah. Nothing worth mentioning. Maybe a little scare here and there, but it's not like I mean it. They just look at me when I'm hiding and then run." She shrugged slightly and chuckled. She didn't realize that her eyes were the only things visible when she was doing so. "And yourself?"

Xemnas nodded solemnly a moment. "I will find him, eventually, unless he is stupid enough to seek me. In which case, all the better."
He let his eyes linger out over the landscape, occasionally spotting the mvoement of something - usually a few Soquili together, shuffling through the night. "I've found a quiet patch near the river that works well when I'm not with a herd. Even then I tend to warnder enough to keep them on their toes. A few areas I tend to frequent have gotten only slightly skittish. They're not terribly bright, to say the least."

Heartless nodded solemnly and then let her darkened gaze look out to her surroundings. A strong dislike emerged, no, it had always been there. But she had no heart... she could not dislike. She was a minion to the least, but did she have a greater purpose? She knew she had to destroy the light, but after that. What would happen? Would she disappear?
Her single braid cascaded down her shoulders as she continued to look through the trees. "Sounds fascinating. I'm always moving, I hardly ever rest, but I don't really see many soquili where I go." The mare shrugged slightly and returned her gaze back to him. She had been curious about something... "Tell me, what do you do when you're not terrifying others?"
