This was perhaps the first trip Syeira had taken away from her little den since she had birthed her beautiful new children - and she had informed Uumi, quite bluntly in fact, that he was going to babysit while she went out. It was just by chance that she happened to see her father in the distance.
When she realized where he was going, she found the scent fresh on the air, and new instantly that her mother was home - but what she didn't expect to see, however, were the three little things there with her.
She had siblings the age of her own children, if not a few days younger.
"Mother?" she asked quitely, stepping in, her great blue eyes settled in wonder upon her dame. She could tell by the tension in the air and the looks on her parents' faces that something was wrong. She knew, instantly, that these cubs were not her father's - she knew, now, that she had half-siblings.

"It won't be alright..." Ari said, trying to be calmer. She noticed she was upsetting her children, and she didn't want that to happen! "It...was just someone who....who was in this pride from when I was a kid. A stalker more than a childhood sweetheart." The female said quietly, clenching her eyes shut as she heard her oldest daughter step in.
"..Syeira.." she whispered softly, looking at the adult female, before turning her head away once more.

Asi's eyes flicked up as Sye came into the den, turning his worried frown toward her. He listened to Ari... but everything was hurting his brain right now. He didn't know what else to say.. maybe Sye could help in this situation?

Syeira frowned as she felt the tension in the room, enough to be sliced through like fresh meat. Still, she stood her ground, her eyes serious as she tried to say something casual. "I came because I thought you might want to see your new grandchildren," she muttered softly, standing close to her father, brushing against him some. "but.."
She trailed off, taking a deep breath as she tried to wrap her mind around everything that was happening here - everything that had already happened here. "Mom, what happened?" she asked quietly, staring down at the new little half siblings wiggling and squeaking in their sleep.

Ari shook her head, letting it fall to the ground with a soft thump. "...Nothing...Syeira." She said slowly. She didn't want her daughter to know, it was already bad enough her mate knew! She curled closer around the newborns, exhaustedly. "I'm...tired..." She murmured, letting her eyes drift shut. She wanted sleep. She wanted comfort from her mate. She...just wanted everything to be alright like it once had been.

"Sye..." Asi was at a loss for words. He slowly curled himself against Ari, eyes shut tight and a grimmace on his face. It was obvious to tell that he was not happy with what was going on at all. "Syeira, you should prol'y ge' back ter yeh cubs soon." He said softly, though clearly it was a dismissel.

Syeira frowned yet again at her parents, confusion clearly written across her beautiful face. With a little nod in her father's direction, she turned and began padding slowly towards the exit. Glancing back over her shoulder as she stopped, she couldn't help the pang of ache deep in the depths of her heart. Her father and mother were so close, and yet, at this point it seemed like something was tearing them (and the rest of their family) apart.
Unaware of what the future held for the Kusini royals, Syeira walked out and let her parents be.
